Could LaLa And Carmelo Get Back Together?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Melo and LaLa are finished! Or so we thought. The pair spent a good part of Mother’s Day with their son Kiyan. The 10-year old lil guy seemed to be very happy to have both parents.

Check out the video of them going into a swanky NY restaurant.

This video looked weird. But this is really a good way to move forward since they have a son. Neta is a fancy restaurant in the village. I don’t think this is truly and sort o f reconciliation. I think its really just them keeping the peace. Some of suggested that they even called the papz on themselves but I cannot see why they would want this on Mother’s Day.

Dear Mama: How Tupac And Afeni Shakur Made Hip-Hop Salute Black Mothers

(AllHipHop Editorial) I was toying around with the Dear Mama app on http://dearmama.alleyez.com/ and it made me think how powerful the song Tupac composed was in 1995. Seriously. It is just that simple.

When Pac recorded ”Dear Mama” he set an incredible precedence that caused the rest of the hyper masculine, hardcore Hip-Hop community to follow suit. Since its release scores of odes to mothers have emerged. And that is a great thing. February 21, 1995. Further more, the emotive, brutally honest song was also the the lead single from Me Against the World (1995), almost unfathomable in today’s musical climate.

Even though Tupac’s set the standard, his song will forever stand out for two reasons – Afeni and Shakur. Despite what some trolls have stated on social media, Afeni Shakur is a revolutionary, activist, humanist, Black Panther and soldier in addition to being Tupac’s mother. Is. Her spirit of power, resolve and triumph continues to live within us. In that respect, Afeni isn’t completely unique.

Far too many people gravitated to “And even as a crack fiend, Mama / You always was a black queen, Mama” and fail to look at the vast complexities of Blackness in America. It has been stated that when American catches a cold, Black American catches pneumonia. Black women have often carried the weight of a nation on their back, in a selfless, quiet way in most instances. And they have had burdens that would break others. I think of my own mother and grand mother as well as the scores of mothers that I know. They have demonstrated incredible patience, passion and have continued to push even when they didn’t get the love in return.

Everybody isn’t on a podium, social media or tv but they are doing the “work” that matters most. As I get older, I start to realize the struggle my mother had to have coming up, raising two boys to men, maintaining her career and continuing to be happy amidst insurmountable odds. Most people don’t realize that “Dear Mama” didn’t only represent for Afeni Shakur, it was representative of Black moms, which is why it is the Gold Standard.

So, on this Mother’s Day, I implore you to think beyond the social media posts, cards, hashtags and dinners at Red Lobster. Ponder the exquisite intricacy of mothers, aunts, grands and others that fulfilling those duties, and how truly critical they are to our universe.

Mother’s Day is everyday.

Happy Mother’s Day: Weird Moments With Moms And Hip-Hop

Moms have an … interesting relationship with rap, from beautiful odes like “Dear Mama” and “Dance” to the complete opposite in “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” Mother’s Day is here again, so we wanted to take this opportunity to recognize the weirdest moments for moms in rap.

That Time Cam’Ron Let His Mom Rap

Dedications to mom are a commonplace now, but Killa Cam took it to the next level when he let his dear, lovely mother rap on his debut album in 1998. A wonderfully weird dedication to one of the realest, Fredericka Giles.

Crying Christian Mom Reads “Norf Norf” Lyrics

Parents hate on rap lyrics all the time, but this mom took it to new heights when she spent 11 minutes ranting about how Vince Staples is poisoning our youth. There would be nothing to see here if she hadn’t spent 5 minutes reading lyrics to the 3-minute track, perfectly peppering in uninformed social commentary, sobbing, and of course, a healthy dose of N-words.

And of course the internet blessed us with a remix, lining up the original Clams Casino beat with her painfully awkward reading.

Her Mom Is Cooler Than Yours

Of all the things moms are known for, being cool isn’t always one of them. But Kristen’s mom isn’t just cooler than your mom — she might be cooler than you. Upon boarding her flight and locating her seat, she realized she was sitting next to the one and only Rich Homie Quan. Naturally she had to snap a selfie, which both her and Quan texted to her daughter. Quan even explained to her that “My hitta, my hitta” (a text which she had sent to her daughter) was the censored version of his hook on YG’s “My N####.” LOL

Shout out to her mom for knowing who he was and giving her daughter a dope memory.

Somebody Get Farrah Abraham’s Mom

As fans of hip-hop, we’re subjected to a lot of cringe-worthy music from people who have no business behind a mic. That’s exactly what happened when Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham’s mom, aka DebzOG, launched a personal attack on our ears. It sounds like an even more antiquated and whitewashed version of a PG-13 movie rap. Imagine a parody of a rap song that’s meant to be taken 100% seriously — that’s what this is.

And if that’s not bad enough, she’s wearing a leather and fur outfit that makes 2007 Britney Spears look classy.

Eminem Cleans Out His Closet

Eminem spent his best years bashing his mom to Hades, but he flipped it suddenly on “Headlights” in 2014. The audio apology was so deep, it was odd. Hopefully, they have fixed their issues.

And, yes. That’s Ann Coulter, a mother f.

The guy took to Twitter and blasted Bow Wow, saying, “Lmfaooooo who’s mans is this @smoss?!” The photo spreaded like wildfire through the Twitter world, gaining over 30,000 retweets and over 40,000 likes. Even a few celebrities chimed in, including Jim Jones, Meek Mill & 50 Cent, Trey Songz and even Chris Brown. The image of the jet and sprinter van was actually taken from a Hallandale Beach, Florida transport company. They saw the whole thing as a major business boost for them. Phones were ringing off the hook as people would call in and visit their website, mentioning Bow Wow. The Hallandale Beach company welcomes Bow Wow with open arms. “Bow Wow, when you come to South Florida, let us be your ride.”

Insiders are saying that Bow Wow may have had a connect with the transport company AND it was an orchestrated TROLL

Ludacris Thanks His Mother In The Coolest Way For Mother’s Day

(AllHipHop News) Ludacris has surprised his mother Roberta Shields by remodelling her house.

The rapper and actor enlisted the help of TV show “My Houzz” to decorate his mom’s Atlanta pad just in time for Mother’s Day, which falls on Sunday (May 14) in America.

Roberta actually lives in her son’s old house, but since he moved out of the bachelor pad, she has barely touched the decor.

“My mom and my relationship is very close,” Ludacris, real name Christopher Bridges, tells the cameras in a preview clip. “She’s one of the people who first introduced me to hard work and dedication. That’s why I am where I am, and who I am, today.

“When she moved into it, she was wanting to make it her own. But a lot of the rooms my mother has started on are just incomplete.”

Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Kristen Bell have also surprised family members with renovations on “My Houzz.”

For the latest episode Ludacris, wife Eudoxie and designer Rachel Oliver set about redecorating the house, throwing out outdated appliances and painting over Ludacris’ huge record label logo in the study.

“I feel like every child wants to do everything they can possibly do for their mom to give back an ounce of what their mother has given them,” “The Fast and the Furious” actor smiled. “This is one step closer.”

“It makes me feel that I’m blessed beyond belief,” Roberta exclaimed after seeing her new house. “What I would say to them is, ‘Thank you for loving me.’”

Big Sean Joins #FixThePipes Campaign To Help Flint Residents

(AllHipHop News) Detroit-bred rap star Big Sean has been one of the most involved entertainers in helping residents of Flint, Michigan dealing with the city’s water crisis.

In 2016, Sean donated $10,000 for the #HealFintKids fundraiser, and he worked with the Heal Flint Kids project.

The “One Man Can Change The World” performer has now also joined Green For All’s #FixThePipes campaign.

That’s why we launched #FixThePipes – to help Flint families get the help they need now,” stated Vien Truong, director of Green For All. “Every dollar we collect brings Flint families one step closer to clean bathing and drinking water.”

Michigan reached a settlement with the federal government to address the public health crisis facing nearly 20,000 households, but it could take up to three years for some citizens to see improvements.

In order to help the people of Flint faster, Green For All is looking to raise over $500,000 for its campaign.

The organization estimates it will cost about $10,000 to improve the pipes in just one home.

Wack 100 & Funk Flex Get Checked By Tupac Relative Over Disrespect!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Wack 100 and Funk Flex are two disrespectful individuals.

As you know the Wackster and Flexer have been making some very disrespectful comments about the late, great rapper Tupac.

It’s unclear why Wack 100 is such a Tupac hater, but the man takes every chance he gets to discredit and disrespect Pac!

Now he’s gone way too far by disrespecting Tupac’s late mother, Afeni Shakur!

In a comment on Instagram Wack says,

“@H.emup274 you don’t know wtf Pac was taught keeping it real his mom was a dope fiend she wasn’t Harriet Tubman. You clowns talk this sh-t like dude was Malcolm X or some sh-t. He was a rapper that womanized, did drugs and preached violence. He was COMMON or X klan @9trayxxd this n-gga a clown.”

Apparently a member of Tupac’s family had had enough and had a mouthful to say to not only Wack but to Funk Flex as well!

“It’s hard not to pay these clowns like @funkflex and @wack100 any attention but the disrespect towards my family has been on steroids, you don’t have to like Pac or even be a fan of him but to disrespect him, his legacy and his mom Afeni by calling her a crack head is very disrespectful, I would never send a threat to someone on Ig other then I’m going to break both of you clown jaws when I catch you, @wack100 sense you like to keep it 100 like you claim, tell the people how you running from me, I know official dudes from your hood like my brother @g.principle tell the people how you refuse this duel with me, you and @funkflex have No street cred both you girls are ? you don’t know Pac you never in your life met Pac, you wasn’t around back then, you not active in your hood bro, stop acting like you Suge, he had money and you broke bum, #therealoutlaw #fadesrus #wack100 #clown #funkflexboymesswithtrannies

Somebody Is Suing Tupac…SMH!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Somebody must have told Danny Boy that Tupac was coming back to life! No, boy, it is just a movie! HAHAHA! Anyway, some of you may not remember Danny Boy, but he was one of the singers that was down with Death Row back in the day. He was somewhat of a big deal, especially when he worked with Tupac.

Remember this:

Well! Tonight Danny Boy announced he is going to sue Tupac’s estate for something. I have no idea. But he’s revealed that he was never signed to Death Row Records. He probably didn’t get paid for singing. I guess, we have to see what’s next, eh? But $7 million? #comeonfam

On a side note, there was a Suge Knight sighting tonight. LOL!

Stars Were Told In Advance To Stay Away From Ja Rule’s Fyre Festival

(AllHipHop News) Acts including Migos and Major Lazer were told to stay away from the disastrous Fyre Festival, a new lawsuit brought against its organizers alleges.

The Bahamas-based festival, billed as a lavish event where fans could mingle with the stars, was abandoned in chaos last month after festival goers arrived to discover luxury accommodation was non-existent and infrastructure was incomplete.

The new complaint, filed in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday by attendees Sean Daly and Edward Ivey, is the seventh brought against festival organizers Billy McFarland and Ja Rule.

It alleges that McFarland and Ja Rule were aware the festival was unlikely to go ahead as planned and told performers not to fly in, but neglected to inform ticket holders.

The lawsuit reads, “When Defendants (McFarland, Ja Rule, and Mcfarland’s company Fyre Media) became aware before the start of the festival that it would not actually happen, they notified the scheduled performers and certain festival employees not to fly out for the event.”

In addition to Migos and Major Lazer, other acts signed up to perform at the event included Tyga, Pusha T, Desiigner and Blink-182.

Blink-182 pulled out of the event at short notice stating they were, “Not confident that we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give fans.”

Daly and Ivey’s lawsuit also alleges organizers kept inviting attendees to spend money on VIP packages and to add funds to cashless payment accounts after it became clear the event would not go ahead.

Their lawyers claim McFarland and Ja Rule’s actions are a violation of New York state business law.
