In a recent interview with Beats 1, Nicki Minaj expressed being hurt by rumors surrounding the creation of Migos’ “Motorsport,” which features the Young Money star and Offset’s girlfriend Cardi B.

Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff performed the track at last night’s Coachella event in California. Cardi’s part on the single could be heard playing, but the group skipped Minaj’s verse.

The omission didn’t go unnoticed by Twitter users. Some people wondered if cutting Nicki’s section was meant to be a subliminal message following the public bickering over “Motorsport.”

Special guests also made appearances during the show. Chance The Rapper, YG, G-Eazy, and Kehlani joined the Bronx starlet for want became known as #Boachella on social media.

Cardi used her own Instagram page to let the world know her style for the event was inspired by legendary Hip Hop/R&B girl group TLC. This came after T-Boz recently shouted out Cardi on IG.

(AllHipHop News) Rap star Kanye West will add author to his resume with an upcoming book.

The Chicago rap star is planning to release a philosophical work titled “Break the Simulation.”

Kanye did an interview with Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt for Pret-a-Reporter.

During the sit-down, Kanye revealed his philosophical book will focus on human being’s fascination with photographs.

“I’ve got this philosophy — or let’s say it’s just a concept because sometimes philosophy sounds too heavy-handed. I’ve got a concept about photographs, and I’m on the fence about photographs, about human beings being obsessed with photographs, because it takes you out of the now and transports you into the past or transports you into the future,” Kanye said.

“It can be used to document, but a lot of times it overtakes [people]. People dwell too much in the memories,” the rapper added.

The pair discussed a number of things during the extensive interview including art, architecture and how Kanye West’ is strikingly similar to the late Professor Stephen Hawking.

“I don’t wish to be number one anymore, I wish to be water,” Kanye said.

(AllHipHop News) Beyonce stunned the Coachella crowds on Saturday night with a Destiny’s Child reunion as she closed out a spectacular set backed by an army of dancers, a full marching band, and drum line.

She kicked off her headlining set, which she was forced to cancel a year ago when she fell pregnant, by marching along a catwalk set up in the crowd, dressed as an Egyptian queen and accompanied by nine dancers dressed in Tutankhamun bodysuits.

The girls then peeled off their outfits as the light shone on a huge pyramid made up of another 40-plus backing dancers and a full brass band.

Beyonce appeared at the top of the structure wearing a yellow college sorority top, butt-cheek-baring Daisy Duke denim shorts and knee-high white furry boots, and, after pausing to soak in one of her biggest crowds ever, she kicked off her set with “Crazy in Love” and “Formation.”

Her high-energy, dance-heavy set was all girl power, with the R&B superstar stopping the show after 10 minutes to demand a group of male dancers makes her laugh before she launched into “Sorry,” laughing as she sang the famous line, “You better call Becky with the good hair.”

She then wowed fans by launching into “Drunk in Love” from a crane platform high above the audience.

As Saturday became Sunday at Coachella, the dancers and the marching band disappeared while the headliner performed “Flawless” and “7/11,” and an unseen DJ Khaled demanded festival bosses rename the event “Beychella.”

Her dramatic set continued after a costume change as Bey hit the stage in shiny black leather boots, matching corset and jacket, with her backing army returning to the pyramid behind her, and furiously paced the stage for “Don’t Hurt Yourself,” her collaboration with rocker Jack White.

She also belted out “I Care,” “Partition,” “Baby Boy,” “Hold Up,” and “Check On It” before her husband Jay-Z briefly joined her onstage for “Deja Vu.”

Beyonce then launched into “Run The World (Girls)” after another costume change, stating, “Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline Coachella,” before sending fans into overdrive by reuniting Destiny’s Child.

Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined her onstage for a medley of classics, including “Say My Name” and “Soldier.”

She closed out her show with “Get Me Bodied” as she brought out her sister Solange for a spirited dance-off, before wrapping up the 100-minute set with her 2008 anthem Single “Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Love On Top,” which she dedicated to her “loyal fans,” telling the Coachella crowd, “I’m so happy that I’m here. I was supposed to perform at Coachella before but I ended up getting pregnant so I had time to dream and dream and dream and I dreamt up this whole performance…”

(AllHipHop News) A pair of artists signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo imprint are nursing gunshot wounds.

Lil Quill and Yung Mal were shot in Nashville, Tennessee after a show over the weekend.

Lil Quill and Yung Mal were performing at a concert series for upcoming rappers, and as they were leaving, two cars pulled up next to them and shot up their bus.

“They got hospitalized after their bus got shot up when a somebody pulled up 2 cars deep on the highway. Quill got Shot in the leg and Mal got shot both in the leg and the back,” a rep for 1017 Eskimo confirmed.

Both rappers were sent to a local hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds and are expected to recover.

Lil Quill and Yung Mal signed with Gucci Mane in 2017, and released their debut album for 1017 Eskimo called Came From Zero.

Lamar, who headlined the California music festival last year, stunned the crowd when he emerged during SZA’s set, and later during Vince Staples’ gig, on Friday. He joined her for her song “Doves in the Wind” before ending her set with his “Black Panther” soundtrack tune “All the Stars.”

Meanwhile, the R&B singer arrived onstage 10 minutes late and was unable to perform her biggest hit, The Weekend. “Yo, they cut my songs,” she told the crowd. “I’m sorry, but I’ll make it up to you next week.” Oscar-winning actor Foxx joined Kygo for his set earlier on Friday, performing during the DJ’s remix of Marvin Gaye’s classic track “Sexual Healing” and bringing out his daughter Corinne. The teenager hit the stage wearing a mesh dress over her underwear and a black hat and backpack, prompting her dad to joke, “Put some clothes on. Chance hit the stage for the tracks “iSpy” and “Wanna Be Cool” before dashing back to his native Chicago, Illinois for a birthday benefit. He’ll host an open celebration, titled Chance The Birthday, on 21 April, which will also serve as a fundraiser for his SocialWorks program.

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj fought back tears during a radio show on Thursday as she recalled how Cardi B hurt her feelings while promoting their Migos hit “MotorSport.”

Rumors surfaced suggesting the rap divas were feuding when the track – the lead single from the hip-hop trio’s third studio album Culture II – hit the charts, but both stars dismissed gossip of bad blood between them.

However, in an interview with Capital Xtra radio in November, Cardi B revealed Nicki’s verse on the final track was different from the lyrics she remembered hearing when she first jumped on the recording, adding fuel to claims the pair had fallen out.

Now Nicki confesses she wishes Cardi had kept her thoughts to herself, admitting she felt disrespected.

“The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after ‘MotorSport’ came out,” the “Bang Bang” hitmaker explained during an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio.

“I remember when I first came in the game, if a female of that stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you,” Nicki added. “The first interview she did… she looked so aggravated and angry and the only thing she kept saying was, ‘I didn’t hear that, she changed her verse’.”

Nicki was also criticized for failing to turn up for the video shoot to appear with Cardi, amplifying rumors the ladies didn’t care for each other, but the rapper insists she wasn’t trying to be difficult with the shoot – she just had scheduling conflicts.

“They (Migos and Cardi) all knew that and still did interviews and jumped around that just to paint Nicki as the bad person so you could play the victim,” Nicki recalled. “That really, really hurt me because I really, fully supported her.

“When it was time to clear the air about that, no one did that. All of them allowed me to look like I lied.”

The 35-year-old has since forgiven Cardi, revealing the superstar has returned to her good graces after praising Nicki in a recent interview.

“Up until this recent interview that she did, I had never seen her show me genuine love in an interview,” Nicki shared. “I could just imagine how many girls wish they could have been on a song with Nicki Minaj.”

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Nelly has reportedly asked a judge to issue a protective order for his financial information in his ongoing civil lawsuit with a woman who claims he raped her.

Nelly is currently locked in a legal battle with Monique Greene, who has accused the rapper of forcing himself upon her during an encounter on his tour bus after a gig in Washington – accusations he has vehemently denied.

A criminal case against Nelly, who was arrested in October, was dropped in December after Greene declined to testify, but she has since launched her own defamation and sexual assault suits against the star, and he has countersued, claiming that they had sex but that it was consensual.

Now Greene is seeking financial, tax, contract, yearly income and business records, but the rapper finds the request “over broad and unduly burdensome.”

Nelly, real name Cornell Haynes Jr., is also reportedly worried his financial information will be leaked to the press and he is asking the judge to limit the amount of evidence Greene can request.

“The discovery requests in this case seek personal contact information and sensitive financial, business and tax materials that implicate the rights of third parties and defendant both,” the legal papers read. “Defendant requests that this court strictly limit the disclosure of any such materials and to prevent the use of such materials for any purpose other than those strictly necessary for the purposes of this litigation.”

The rapper, who is also being investigated in the U.K. over two other alleged sexual assaults, is also seeking to have the additional allegations dismissed from the case and does not want his girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, to have to testify.

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill always thought his probation would eventually lead him back to prison, he revealed in an interview on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt on Thursday.

Meek was sentenced to serve two to four years in prison in November for violating the terms of his probation relating to a 2008 firearms case.

He’s still managing to maintain a public profile even while behind bars though, and took part in a phone call interview with Holt which was televised on Thursday night.

Asked if he can believe that after 10 years on probation, he’s still “in the clutches of the criminal justice system because of this one arrest?” Mill replied: “It was always a thought in the back of my mind that 10 years of probation would bring me back to prison because a technical violation is police contact.

“You don’t have to be charged with a crime, you don’t have to be found guilty of a crime, you can be sentenced to what you were sentenced for, like what I was facing. (Judge Genece E. Brinkley) said I was facing five to 10 years. So, if I was stopped by the police for jaywalking, legally she has the right to give me five to 10 years.”

Mill is now plotting his future when he’s released from prison.

And one thing he’s hoping to do is to help others who are in similar situations to him, but who don’t have the celebrity power he does to help raise the profile of his case.

“I think God delivered me a job to help people, helping minorities that come from these situations like myself,” the rapper said. “I say don’t show me no pity because this is my life. This is what I’ve been going through and I think God put me in this position to be able to do a show with Lester Holt and open up eyes for other young black men.”

Mill’s most recent request for bail was denied.

His team are still working on trying to get the musician out of prison, and have garnered the support of famous faces such as rappers Jay-Z and Wale.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper The Game is seeking payment for lawyers’ fees in his sexual assault lawsuit.

Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, was sued for $10 million by Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on his U.S. reality series “She’s Got Game,” in 2015.

She claimed The Game assaulted her while filming a scene in a Los Angeles bar as part of the show, in which women competed for the rap star’s affection.

He lost the case in late 2016 and a $7 million default judgment was handed down in Rainey’s favor.She filed documents on March 1, claiming she hasn’t seen any money from the hip-hop star, and asked a judge to hold him in civil contempt for refusing to comply with the judgment.

Rainey also allegedly conducted her own investigation into The Game’s finances using third parties and claimed to have evidence to suggest he is diverting millions of dollars in income to avoid having to pay up.

She also claimed she has tried multiple times to obtain his financial records from his legal team and asked a judge to make him appear in court and testify about his income and assets.

However, The Game is now insisting he did respond to her request to answer questions about his finances and is asking the judge to deny her civil contempt motion.

He is also asking her to pay his lawyers’ fees.

According to reports, a judge will rule on his requests next week.

The former star of “That’s So Raven” was arrested by bounty hungers in his underwear and barefoot in Las Vegas Friday morning.

The bounty hunters were looking for Brown on an outstanding warrant. He was staying with an individual in Las Vegas who attempted to stop the bounty hunters from entering the private home. But, this was not to be. The authorities had legal precedent to raid the house.

Lucky The Bounty Hunter was taping the entire matter and the footage was delivered to TMZ.

Brown was found in the house in a t-shirt and boxers.

Last month a judge issued a warrant for Brown’s arrest after he allegedly hit his girlfriend. The owner apparently didn’t know that Brown was a fugitive from the law.
