(AllHipHop Rumors) Troy Ave is looking like quite the character these days!
I mean the dude has already been clowned for being corny and fraudulent, and it looks like now the kid is being called a liar.
Apparently Troy Ave had folks thinking that Kendrick Lamar and TDE once considered signing the Brooklyn rapper!
Troy claimed that Kendrick once gave him some serious props on his music and that he had once considered joining the TDE camp. He makes these claims on his “Truth Be Told PSA” from his new ‘NuPac’ project.
Listen issa lie. I don’t care what Troy claims. There is no way I believe anyone over there ever considered signing this kid.
TDE’s Top Dawg took to Twitter to shoot down all of this.
“4 the record… I’ve never had a convo with Troy ave or any 1 in his camp.. neither has KDot.. yesterdays story was fake news… #TDE,” said Top Dawg.
I definitely remember Troy blatantly dissing Kendrick in the past and calling him a weirdo rapper. I think this kid forgets what he says and is doing anything he can to generate buzz for his questionable career and new project.
It already seemed like Ave was a bit “off”, but I for sure know he lost his marbles when he started comparing himself to Tupac! It’s good to see Top shut that ish down! What are your thoughts?
4 the record… I've never had a convo with Troy ave or any 1 in his camp.. neither has KDot.. yesterdays story was fake news… #TDE
(AllHipHop News) Mary J. Blige has reportedly claimed that her estranged husband falsely claimed business expenses during their marriage and spent that money on his new girlfriend.
The “No More Drama” hitmaker filed legal papers to end her 12-year marriage from Martin “Kendu” Isaacs in July and the former couple has been fighting over his request for almost $130,000-a-month in spousal support ever since.
In December, Mary claimed Isaacs, who worked as her manager, had cheated her out of more than $420,000 during their marriage by falsely claiming business expenses that allegedly had nothing to do with her career.
In the new documents, she claims he spent that money, which he chalked up to “travel charges”, on a new girlfriend.
Mary has also responded to his spousal support request, calling his demands outrageous and insisting he is trying to claim more money than he needs, in order to cover his parents and his three children from previous relationships.
“I am not responsible for supporting (Martin’s) parents and his children from another relationship which he lists as ongoing monthly expenses,” she reportedly says in the documents.
When he filed for spousal support, Isaacs claimed the singer earned between $1.5 million to $5.1 million over the last two years while he had no income as he was fired as her manager shortly after she filed for divorce.
But the 46-year-old has denied his estimates, insisting their estate is “underwater” and there is no money left for handouts as she is covering all the expenses while he “contributes absolutely nothing”.
Isaacs is father to sons Jordan and Nas from his first marriage and daughter Brianna from a previous relationship. He had no children with Mary.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Drake has stepped up the security presence around his California mansion after an overzealous female fan managed to break in earlier this month.
Mesha Collins, 24, was discovered in a bedroom inside the Hotline Bling star’s Hidden Hills mansion, wearing one of his hoodies after allegedly helping herself to water and soda.
There was no evidence she took anything else or caused any damage.
“He’s got 24-hour security now,” Dennis told TMZ.com. “He’s got security on the grounds, and in front, everywhere now.”
And Dennis, a fellow musician, reveals Collins chose the wrong time to try and steal something from Drake, because he emptied the pad for renovations.
“There was nothing in the house anyway because the house is being remodeled, so there was nothing in there (to steal),” he smiles. “All she could get was a Sprite, a Pepsi, and a bottle of water!”
Reports suggest Drake has declined to press charges against Collins since no real harm was done, but Dennis warns other fans not to try their luck in future:
“Don’t get yourself in trouble,” he states. “Don’t go to jail and have a felony in your life over stupidity.”
The case against Collins has yet to be officially dropped, but it is unlikely the District Attorney will forge ahead with prosecution without Drake’s support.
Hit songs such as the Timbaland-produced “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly),” “Get Ur Freak On,” and “Work It” were seen as visionary works of art. The music videos for those records – directed respectively by fellow artistic geniuses Hype Williams and Dave Meyers – were groundbreaking as well.
Filmmaker Sama’an Ashrawi is celebrating Missy’s creative contribution in the animated series Afrofuturism. The mini-documentary is running on Gunpowder & Sky’s sci-fi YouTube channel DUST.
“The project happened because [co-producer] Steven [Jackson] and I noticed a resurgence in science-fiction imagery among today’s most talented black artists that we hadn’t seen used so blatantly since the height of Missy Elliott’s popularity,” says Ashrawi. “We were directly inspired by artists like Janelle Monáe and Flying Lotus who effortlessly take their music and visual offerings to new places.”
He continues, “We noticed a growing online trend of people asking for more Afrofuturism-related content and decided to make these brief explainer videos about important figures related to the lens of Afrofuturism – but we didn’t want them to be like a boring lecture, we wanted them to be fun. And I think they turned out very fun.”
Ashrawi sprinkled Easter eggs throughout the “Missy Elliott Descends from Planet Rock” visuals. Fans of the singer-songwriter/rapper may even notice a resemblance to Misdemeanor’s “Sock It To Me” video.
Previous Afrofuturism episodes focused on Herman “Sun Ra” Blount, Uhura of Star Trek, George Clinton, and Jimi Hendrix. The entire series is narrated by British performer Little Simz, and its soundtrack features Arima Ederra, Joyce Wrice & Mndsgn, and Beanz N Kornbread.
“We chose Little Simz as our narrator because she’s one of your favorite young artists and because her clique is called Space Age. Who could be a more perfect fit?” Ashrawi explains.
Afrofuturism has found a fan in a well-known celebrity with Missy even co-signing the work. The subject of the clip shared the video with her 4.8 million Twitter followers.
“We’ve gotten some love from Solange’s website, Saint Heron, and Solange even retweeted the Sun Ra episode, which was cool,” states Ashrawi. “Then Missy Elliott retweeted her episode and followed me, which was maybe even a little bit cooler. Going forward it would be amazing to build off of this series and collaborate with them directly, I think it’s possible.”
Throughout her 20 year career, the Virginia-born multi-talented artisan has sold over 30 million albums and won five Grammy awards. Missy Elliott has also worked on music with Aaliyah, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Nas, Janet Jackson, Lil Kim, Ginuwine, Christina Aguilera, Ciara, Ludacris, Eve, J. Cole, and more.
There is no better way to celebrate hip-hop culture than being in the presence of Snoop Dogg. The West Coast rap legend recently hosted a film screening and concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
Presented by Dutch Masters, the show allowed fans to get a glimpse of Snoop’s new film, “CoolAid,” and also witness a special performance at the Mount Kushmore Wellness Retreat tour.
Things kicked off shortly after 5 p.m. with the screening of “CoolAid.”
The film serves as an autobiographical tale that highlights Snoop’s troubled youth and eventual rise to fame.
Following the special screening, Snoop performed at the Mount Kushmore Wellness Retreat that also featured rap legends Cypress Hill, and Wiz Khalifa.
Snoop performed songs from his legendary catalog which included hits such as “Gin & Juice,” “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” “Beautiful” and “What’s My Name.”
Wiz Khalifa also hit the stage and performed hits such as “KK,” “On My Level,” “We Dem Boyz,” and “Black and Yellow.”
Snoop and Wiz Khalifa also shared the stage and interacted with each other like a modern day version of Cheech and Chong. They ended the show with the hippie anthem, “Young, Wild, & Free.”
Concertgoers also got an opportunity to interact with the Dutch Masters models throughout the evening.
Following a hiatus of nearly 6 years, rap veteran Adam Reverie unleashes his latest record titled “Passion,” produced by Clyde Strokes. The Motor City-native addresses many topics, including freestyling for Royce Da 5’9 on ‘Sway In The Morning’s Detroit Cypher,’ his respect for Desiigner and Rapsody, supporting BET advocating booty over brains, and more.
Firmly established as one of Hip Hop’s hottest rising stars, Young M.A. took the game by storm in 2016 with her popular single “Ooouuu,” followed by an impressive streak of stellar freestyles/verses.
Since then, the Brooklyn native has captivated audiences with her razor sharp lyricism, mixed with a new age swag of none other, but still giving us that prime-New York City feel. Today, the budding superstar unveils her “Red Lyfe Freestyle” video in conjunction with Mad Misfit, which also serves as the brand’s debut release.
Gucci Mane promised fans a new track via Twitter yesterday, and at 10:17PM later that night, he did just that, delivering “Coachella.” The record was inspired by his recent performance at the famous Festival this past week.

(AllHipHop News) A lawsuit filed against Will Smith over hit show “Black-ish” has reportedly been dropped.
David Marcus sued the star, Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, and bosses at ABC Studios for $15 million earlier this year, claiming they stole the idea for the show from him.
Marcus alleged he submitted a comedy script, titled “Across The Tracks,” for a contest Smith was running in 2013.
Marcus claimed he never heard back from the actor about the script, and was stunned when he first heard about the premise for “Black-ish,” which appeared to be based on his idea.
According to reports, Marcus was seeking $15 million and an injunction to pull the series, starring Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, off air unless he was given credit as the creator.
Smith hit back at the allegations and was seeking a dismissal.
Last week documents were reportedly filed indicating Marcus had agreed to drop the lawsuit against Smith and the case was closed.

(AllHipHop News) With the success of Drake’s More Life playlist, many American fans are being introduced to the British music scene for the first time.
One of the standout acts to emerge from the U.K. bred Grime genre is Michael “Stormzy” Omari.
The award-winning artist spoke with Fader for a cover story, and Stormzy addressed the treatment of Grime artists in his home country.
“I’ve never understood this whole thing of there being this elite force in British music, but on the side is Grime and rap,” said the Gang Signs & Prayer album creator. “There’s at least five or six artists in that elite of American music. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Jay Z will be there.”
He continued, “In this country, it’s not like that. I just question sh-t. I ask, Why can’t I get played on that radio station? ‘Oh, they can only play it in the evening.’ But there’s a clean version, why can’t they do daytime? They might say something about the tempo of the song, or the feel of the song. So when I’m getting in the charts, it’s [so I can] break all the walls down, and say, ‘OK, what are you gonna say now? Why can’t you play me?’”
Stormzy’s Gang Signs & Prayer was released in February to positive reviews.
The independent album became the first Grime project to open at #1 on the U.K. charts, and it set a new British record for the most first-week streams for a chart-topping LP.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Now, “pause” is a term you don’t hear too much these days. But, suddenly Lil Yatchy has people saying it again. I didn’t think this was possible. I don’t know that is it even worth a write up. But people are talking about this so we will too.Lil Yachty’s Teenage Dreams is coming to you and he released the art today for all of yap about.
The cover is not as crazy as people say. It really just has a couple dude’s kissing on it, which has caused the “pause” statements. The rest has other unique people. One person has vitiligo, another is albino, some are overweight, weird colored hair and other stuff. And right there in the middle is Lil Boat. What’s the big deal?
I don’t know how this case is going to end up. They say the humorous part about court is the fact that the defense lies, the prosecution lies, the police lie, the witnesses lie, and the judge and or jury is supposed to determine who is telling the truth.
Karrueche’s manager, Jacob York, has recently slammed Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, for claiming that Karrueche’s domestic violence claims are strictly for self-promotion. Geragos quickly clapped back claiming that Karrueche is still on Chris’ d*ck as she’s allegedly been “following” him state-to-state.
York feels that it’s insane to think Karreuche would take legal measures against Breezy just for press.
“Please don’t use Karreuche’s name to distract from your client’s current negative issues. Let’s handle it in court,” said York.
Karrueche doesn’t seem like the type to want to live in the press. She seems like she has always wanted to move on and enjoy life. What sucks is that even is Kae was lying, folks are going to side with her because of Breezy’s violent and turbulent behavior.
Karrueche’s restraining order has still been put off because they’ve been unable to locate Brown and serve him.
I’m sure they’ll catch up to him eventually, but in the meanwhile Brown’s lawyer believes Karrueche is number one on the list of thirsty individuals out to take him down and use his drama to build themselves up.
“They can’t even serve CB with a lawsuit. Maybe they should ask their client to do it when she is following CB around the Country #teambreezy,” said Geragos.
Who knows how this will end.

(AllHipHop Rumors) With celebrity-turned-reality star couples, you usually can’t tell what’s real and what’s fake anymore, but it looks like as far as T.I., and Tiny go, this marriage has completely ran it’s course.
We’ve often seen issues with their relationship spill out onto social media, and it’s been a lot with T.I.’s rumored side chicks [see Bernice Burgos].
Tiny recently stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to talk about her failing marriage and much more.
Wendy is one to dig deep and stir the pot, so she got a bit of info out of Tiny.
Tiny ended up explaining her reasoning for grinding up on Floyd Mayweather at Mariah Carey’s party.
Wendy told Tiny that she had a problem with Tiny grinding up on Floyd, to which Tiny replied saying,
“Well first of all, it was in LA & I was at somebody else’s party. I was at Mariah’s party. I wasn’t at Floyd’s event. Honestly if he woulda been doing the right thing I wouldn’t have been at Mariah’s party.”
Tiny also expressed that she feels like reality TV put a strain on her marriage. Wendy didn’t waste time getting to Bernice Burgos and whether or not Tiny & T.I. had an open marriage.
“She’s somebody that comes in and is gone. It’s nothing to it. It’s what he does. We don’t have anything now. It’s not an agreement now. We just was married, and we did what we wanted to do.”
Tiny said Bernice had nothing to do with what was going on in their marriage, and that she came in the picture after her and Tip had their issues. Tiny said her only problem with Bernice was the disrespect.
“First of all I stepped to him like don’t she know her place. She’s supposed to be quiet. Every woman that’s not the one knows that you supposed to be quiet period!” said Tiny.
Well damn! Tiny didn’t seem to suggest that there’s any room for reconciliation. Tiny I just want to know does you saying you both did what you wanted to in your marriage confirm those rumored threesomes?
(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj is facing criticism for failing to cut scenes of London’s Westminster Bridge from her new “No Frauds” video following the city’s terror attack last month.
The hip-hop star filmed part of her promo on the bridge on March 19, just three days before a man rammed his car into pedestrians there, and then ran onto the grounds of the Houses of Parliament, where he fatally stabbed an unarmed police officer.
Four people were killed and 50 others were injured in the attack.
Nicki was still in the British capital when the tragedy hit the headlines on March 22 and she was among the first to send her prayers to the victims.
However, when the video was released on Wednesday (April 19), it appeared director Benny Boom had decided not to scrap those sequences, which feature Nicki strutting her stuff across the River Thames and sitting on the wall of Westminster Bridge.
The move drew negative comments from some viewers, who took to social media to make their feelings known.
“@NICKIMINAJ by Westminster Bridge in her new vid… too soon?” wrote one Twitter user, while another posted, “nicki is sitting on the westminster bridge in that video with no shame that an attack had just happened (sic).”
In another tweet, one fan wondered what had prompted the star to change her mind: “I thought Nicki was editing out those shots of Westminster bridge”.
Nicki has yet to respond to the criticism, but as she shared a link to the video online, she told her followers: “Honored to have shot this video in London,” along with a praying hands emoji.
The song, which features Drake and Lil Wayne, was initially released last month in response to a pair of diss tracks from rival rapper Remy Ma.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Who doesn’t love a good N.W.A. story?
MC Ren recently sat down with Unique Access Ent. to discuss a number of things including Ice Cube and N.W.A. issues, on to him staying on Ruthless Records after Eazy-E died.
MC Ren explains what it was like to work together, diss each other, and come back to working together as friends.
“When we got back together it’s like really we didn’t even talk about it. It wasn’t like we was in a room like man you said this, and nah but you said that. It was like we just didn’t talk about it. Nobody talked about it. It was like yo let’s get back together and do this. And when we got back together it was like we just went in there and did it; nobody brought up the past. You know it’s like a family argument where everybody throwing stuff, fighting, and then the next day it’s like we all going out to kick it or something, nobody mention the day before,” said MC Ren.
MC Ren also expressed that Ice Cube’s diss, “No Vaseline” was really good. He laughed and joked that Cube got to do a whole record on them, when they only got to do a commercial or something.
“Cube’s was good, I ain’t gon’ lie. His was good. But we never got a chance to do a whole record. See he did a whole record.
We never was like we gonna do a record on him. We was doing ‘Niggaz4Life’ album, Dre came up with the idea to do a commercial, like a skit or whatever, and he did that skit or whatever and that was it,” said MC Ren
Ren explained that they never really planned to do a whole record on him, and that they proved that they could make it as a group without Cube. He did admit that he knew they couldn’t make it when Dr. Dre left though.
Do you think N.W.A should’ve responded with an entire diss track?
Big Boi has Boomiverse on the way, his first solo album in five year. Today, 4/20, the former Outkast emcee dropped a pair of something for fans. “Mic Jack” is a pairing with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and the second is “Kill Jill,” featuring Killer Mike and Jeezy. One pop and the other is hardbody. Guess which is which?
(AllHipHop Rumors) This ain’t a rumor, dun. This is an old school battle. Mysonne has lashed back at Troy Ave over a diss record. However, I personally like this song “Discipline.” I don’t know where they are going with this. Part of me wants some street sh#t to pop off, just because folks need to know its real. But the rational, composed side says that’s not a good deal. Check them out and tell me what you think!
Here is the Troy Ave did of both Mysonne and Joe Budden. I didn’t like it but I am not of the present era. I like rappers with bass in their voice.
This is not a great space for Troy Ave to be in. Mysonne is the streets and Joe Budden is the lyrics. That’s not to take away from “Discipline.” That joint knocks. I guess this is all hype for an album erroneously named after one of the greatest rappers of all time. No losers here.
