Cardi B Making Some Money Moves Outside Of Hip-Hop!

By: Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Cardi B has gone from unknown artist to one of Hip-Hop’s biggest stars in only a few years. The rapper’s music can constantly be heard on radio station’s throughout the country.

Her music videos are doing millions of views easily and she is currently engaged to another fellow rap star. A tour featuring Bruno Mars and Cardi B is also currently scheduled to begin this fall.

Everything Cardi B has been touching has turned into gold recently and her latest move may do the same. Cardi B has frequently endorsed the clothing chain Fashion Nova and it looks as if they are developing a new relationship.

Fashion Nova recently filed documents for the names “Cardi B” and “CB” for blouses, bodysuits, dresses, jackets, jumpsuits, leggings, footwear, rompers, skirts, undergarments and shirts is the plan.

This looks like an indication that the retail company is looking to get into the Cardi B business. That wouldn’t be such a bad move seeing that the rapper was nominated for a Grammy award at the 2018 ceremony.

She also recently won the iHeart Best New Artist trophy at their 2018 award show. Things are steady looking up for Cardi B as she preps her debut album.Atlantic Records plans to release the album this year.

It’s said that the album could be coming out as early as next month.

Kendrick Lamar Biography Detailing His Rise To Stardom Is In The Works

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar is being immortalized in an upcoming book. Journalist Marcus J. Moore announced he is working on a K. Dot biography titled The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America.

“Some big news I’ve been eager to share: I’ve signed with [Touchstone Books] to write the cultural biography of Kendrick Lamar,” tweeted Moore.

Since his arrival on the national scene in 2011, Lamar has released four critically acclaimed albums and won 12 Grammy awards. The Butterfly Effect will cover K. Dot’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp a Butterfly, and DAMN LPs as well as the impact of the Compton wordsmith’s work.

“My book details the artist’s coming of age as an MC, how he helped resurrect two languishing genres (bebop and jazz), his profound impact on a racially fraught America, and his emergence as the bonafide King of Rap,” Moore told Pigeons & Planes.

According to the author, he is interviewing people around Kendrick. Apparently, the TDE emcee’s team is aware of the book.

Did 6ix9ine Finally Admit His Gangsta Persona Is Just Him Trolling?

(AllHipHop News) Is 6ix9ine the next rap superstar? Or is he just an internet troll who will be irrelevant by next year? Those are questions Hip Hop followers have been asking for months, and the controversial Brooklyn native gave some insight into the answers in a new interview.

While appearing on The Breakfast Club, 6ix9ine reinforced his often repeated statements that he sees himself as the “King of New York,” that he “can’t be touched,” and that he is a Blood gang member. However, the “Gummo” rapper also confessed he purposely irritates his foes to make a point, and he likely gave the most clear-cut admission that he’s actually just trolling the world.

“I want to make an example… The reason for the rainbow hair, the reason for the rainbow teeth – I’m literally showing the industry that all that fake gangsta sh-t – cut it out, blood,” stated Tekashi69. “Look how stupid I look right now. I got a big ass ’69’ on my face with rainbow hair.”

He continued, “I’m literally sitting hearing talking about all these people wanting to beef with me and all these people calling me out. How stupid do they look? I’m literally the one getting under their skin and making them act out of character. Gangstas don’t even say what they’re gonna do, they do it.”

6ix9ine was also questioned on why he did not perform at his headlining SXSW show where J. Prince Jr. and his crew showed up to apparently confront the 21-year-old entertainer. The Mexican/Puerto Rican admitted he did not hit the stage in Austin because he felt the situation was not safe for him.

“It’s started looking like a set-up to me,” said the Day69 creator. “I said, ‘Wassup with the security? They allowing that? How am I supposed to give your venue, your crowd a good performance?’ I’m supposed to be looking over my back while I’m performing? I’m not about to get ‘WorldStarred’ on a WorldStar stage.”

Even though he regularly mentioned his current Billboard chart success, 6ix9ine suggested he could retire from the rap game by 2019. That was before Charlamagne Tha God reminded him that he was being challenged to still be around a year from now.

“I’ll be out until 2020. When Bobby Shmurda comes back, I’ll give everything to him,” quipped Tekashi.

G Herbo Drops Full “Who Run It” Freestyle After Drake Asks For A Song

(AllHipHop News) G Herbo saw a short clip of him rapping over Three 6 Mafia’s “Who Run It” go viral. His freestyle for the Dallas radio station K104 even got the attention of Drake.

The OVO Sound head sent Herbo a direct message on Instagram asking the Chicago spitter why did he “spaz” on the beat. Drake also suggested the freestyle should be turned into a full song.

Herbo was quick to oblige. He posted a longer version of his “Who Run It” freestyle to Spinrilla and YouTube.

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin inspired the creation of the Wu and the collective’s masterwork Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). RZA’s live-scoring performance will combine scenes from the motion picture with cuts from the Wu-Tang Clan’s discography.

Rapper Who Hit #1 On Charts Is Running For City Council!

(AllHipHop News) A member of Lords Of The Underground is taking his activism to the next level with a bid for city council.

Dupré Kelly “ Doitall” from the legendary platinum hip-hop selling group, which hit big with singles like “Chief Rocka” and “Funky Child,” is running for Newark City Council in New Jersey.

Doitall is now an official candidate on the ballot for the upcoming May 8, 2018 in Newark, NJ after turning in over 2,000 petitions!

DoItAll has been extremely active and engaging during the Campaign with both feet on the ground!

According to a press release, as Councilman at Large, Dupré Kelly wants to address several issues:

Lack of funding for Youth Programming and Summer Jobs.

In order to secure a better tomorrow for us all, we must make greater investments in our youth today. This year over 5,000 Newark youth applied to the Mayor’s summer youth program. Because of funding constraints the City was only able to roughly employ 2,500 students. By expanding private investment by $2 million for the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program we can truly leave no child behind.

Initiate Greater Activities through Arts & Culture.

It is through Dupré Kelly’s extensive artistic experience he believes that the arts drive creativity and creativity spurs jobs creation. The latest data from the Arts and Cultural Production Satellite Account ( A collaboration of the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)) reveals that the arts and cultural sector contributed $729.6 billion or 4.2 percent to the U.S. economy that year. Between 1998 and 2014, the contribution of arts and culture to the nation’s gross domestic product grew by 35.1 percent. Locally, in 2016 Newark’s Arts and Culture Industry generated $178.3 million annually, providing residents income of $133.7M and supporting 4,963 jobs.

Lack of Civic Engagement (Neighborhood Inclusion).

We must begin to move the wards out of their individual cultural silos. Encourage a new philosophy on the City Council to move away with protectionist attitudes and work together to serve the interest of the entire city. Doitall will work with stakeholders to make sure the neighborhoods are included in our current economic renaissance. Doitall will create a massive ward by ward initiative encouraging our seniors to volunteer in mentoring and assisting our youth through our city programs.

Young Thug Launches His Career As A Fashion Designer With New Deal

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Young Thug is expanding his fashion resume by designing new backpacks for streetwear brand Sprayground.

The hip-hop star, who has long been a fan of the backpack and luggage firm, has collaborated with company officials for the Young Thug x Sprayground capsule collection, comprising of two limited-edition releases made with durable water-resistant fabric.

The Diamond Cubes design features images of the gemstones against a black and purple background, while the Purple Tie Dye Shark has a distinctive rubber shark mouth mold across the front of the bag.

The project is Young Thug’s first as a fashion designer, although he has previously modeled for the likes of Calvin Klein and Adidas.

And David admits witnessing the hitmaker at work in the recording studio has inspired him to step out of his creative comfort zone and explore his own desire to make music.

The Young Thug x Sprayground backpacks are out now, while David’s first song, “Money on the Plane,” is set for release this summer.

What Male P### Star Got Rich Homie Quan This “Excited”?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Rich Homie Quan is a cool dude, but recently his new comedic nature entered new worlds.

The Atlanta Rapper has been making waves in the Hip-Hop community since releasing his hit “Type of Way.”

He would later go on to sign to Def Jam Records, but would never release an album. Quan would eventually leave both his parent label T.I.G and Def Jam Records in search of a new recording home.

Rich Homie Quan once linked up with Birdman and Young Thug to form the most memorable version of Birdman’s Rich Gang collective. Young Thug is outgoing and eccentric, but Rich Homie Quan was always the laid back cool member of the collective.

Quan has been more vocal since signing his new deal with Motown and releasing his debut album “Rich as in Spirit” recently. Rich Homie would showcase his newfound outgoing nature after a chance run-in with pornstar Brian Pumper.

No pun intended, but Rich Homie Quan was excited to run into Brian Pumper, who is most famous for pimping out Lawrence Fishburne’s daughter.

The meeting was captured in an Instagram video clip and the excitement was apparent.

Quan told Pumper that he is the goat after giving a back story on his knowledge of Pumper, while basically telling Pumper that he got him through a lot of days when he was a teenager.

It’s good to know to celebrities and entertainers are still capable of being starstruck. To that we crack an egg and give thanks to the power of entertainment.

Jeezy Makes A Shocking Announcement And Fans Are Freaking Out

(AllHipHop News) Fans of Young Jeezy are mourning the rapper’s career on Twitter today.

Jeezy hit the social media platform, to reveal he would release one more album and then he is calling it quits.

“As the Cold Summer tour comes to a end..It was inspiring seeing my day one fans since my first album & class TM 101 come out every night. Now class is coming to a end. It’s time for Graduation,” Jeezy tweeted.

The Atlanta rap legend then told his followers that his next album will be his last.

“My Last Album & Final Class: TM104 -#TrustYaProcess,” Jeezy wrote.

Jeezy’s major label debut Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 was the inaugural release in his Thug Motivation series of albums and it opened at #2 on the charts and eventually went platinum.

His next album The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102 hit #1 upon its release in December of 2006 and is certified platinum, selling over 1 million copies.

TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition dropped in December of 2011 and landed at #3 on the US Billboard 200, and has since moved over 500,000 copies, earning a gold certification.

The trio of albums produce a number of hits for Jeezy, including “Go Crazy,” “I Luv It,” “Go Getta” (featuring R. Kelly), ‘I Do” and others.

The businessman/rapper recently banked millions of dollars after Tequila Avion, the liquor brand he is an investor in, was sold to the multi-billion dollar global spirits brand, Pernod Ricard.

Jeezy said he plans to remain involved in Avion’s growth until at least 2020.

Regardless, Jeezy’s fans were not too happy that he is planning on recording his “last” album.

Kanye West Faces Fight Over Yeezy Trademark

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West is facing a legal battle with a Chinese company over the rights to sell clothing using his Yeezy brand.

The rapper has owned the trademark to his Yeezy footwear brand since 2013 but lost the official rights to sell Yeezy clothing last year.

He has since filed documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to reclaim the mark for use selling apparel, but has run into trouble as a Chinese firm named Fujian Baby Network Technology Co. swooped in and trademarked the term ‘Yeezy Boost’, the name of the shoes the hip-hop star designs for Adidas, as a clothing brand.

A letter from Trademark Office officials to bosses at Kanye’s Mascotte Holdings company states that they have suspended his application due to the “likelihood of confusion” with the Yeezy Boost brand.

Kanye’s application, which was filed last August, two months after the Chinese company’s, states that he is looking to sell everything from T-shirts and blazers to babywear and hosiery using the Yeezy name.

The rapper, 40, launched his first Yeezy clothing collection, in collaboration with Adidas Originals in 2015, and is currently preparing to debut his seventh season of apparel.

Kim Kardashian’s husband does still hold the rights to sell Yeezy footwear – and last month filed documents seeking to trademark his Red October shoes, the name of the final sneakers he designed for Nike before his switch to Adidas in 2013.

The potential battle over the rights to his brand isn’t the only legal fight Kanye is facing, as bosses at his company Yeezy Apparel have been accused of copying a camouflage design from a rival firm.

Bosses at Jordan Outdoor Enterprises claim a representative from the company contacted them and asked to use their Realtree line design, but that the pattern was allegedly copied without their permission.

They are seeking unspecified damages and an order to stop Kanye selling existing merchandise bearing the design.

This Rapper Has To Have Open Heart Surgery!

By: Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Ski Mask The Slump God has been one of the newer artists having an impact over the last year. The Hip-Hop artist has been performing on festival stages throughout the country.

Even Though he is young, that has stopped the artist from gaining a massive following. His almost 300k Twitter echoes that sentiment as his fan base is still developing.

Ski Mask The Slump God and XXXTentacion were once close friends before they later feuded in 2017. The feud didn’t amount to any violence, but interesting statements would come out during the feud.

Ski Mask The Slump God would accuse XXXTentacion of attempting to have him sacrificed.

“This is a person who has before threatened my family, told me I was supposed to be sacrificed on some crazy s###,” said Ski Mask.

I don’t really know what that means, but if the mythical Illuminati stories are true then maybe it could be something.

The feud between the two rappers has since cooled down, but Ski Mask The Slump God is making news today for a different reason.

Yesterday he took to Twitter to update fans on about a health scare he is currently dealing with.

“I Stunted My Growth And Got Some Type Of Fat Boy Disease And Have To Get Surgery Over My Heart On My Chest Been Avoiding This Since The Start Of My Career, Checking It Out Today With A Positive Mind Pray For Me :).,” said Ski Mask The Slump God.

Let’s hope that his surgery is successful and the kid is ok.

Health is wealth and hopefully, this makes others aware of the serious nature behind the disease.

Bobby V. Is He Really A Rapist?

By: Ne’ Richa (@IAmNeRicha)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Bobby V has taken his fair share of hits to his reputation over the past year, and the trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

A woman just filed a police report for rape, which named Bobby V as a suspect. The report was filed in Cobb County, and not many other details were available at the time.

No one knows how the two know each other, but Bobby V’s legal team has taken action of their own. According to them, they’ve taken action “against what appears to be a weak yet calculated attempt to obtain financial gain through ulterior motives in the matter.”

How financial gain plays a part in this is unclear. Does this case have anything to do with last year’s antic, where Bobby V was exposed on video running out of a motel where he was supposed to be “getting serviced” by a transvestite?

Bobby V…do better.

Robin Thicke, Pharrell WilliamsTo Pay Millions For Copying Marvin Gaye

(AllHipHop News) Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams have lost their appeal to overturn a plagiarism verdict linked to their “Blurred Lines” hit.

Marvin Gaye’s heirs took the stars to court in 2015 after accusing them of copying their late father’s 1977 song “Got to Give It Up.”

They were awarded a massive $7.4 million verdict, but the figure was later reduced to $5.3 million.

Thicke and Williams appealed and now lawmakers have ruled the judgment against the pair should stand, with Judge Milan Smith insisting there was not “an absolute absence of evidence” of similarity between Gaye’s song and the 2013 hit.

The judges overseeing the appeal also agreed with the jury that rapper T.I. was not liable for infringement after contributing a verse to “Blurred Lines.”

As part of their appeal, Thicke and Williams’ lawyers argued a “groove” could not be copyrighted.

“A ‘groove’ or ‘feeling’ cannot be copyrighted, and inspiration is not copying,” a brief filed a year ago read.

During the Los Angeles trial three years ago, the musicians denied the infringement allegations but openly admitted to being inspired by Gaye’s work.

The Gayes’ attorneys insisted the songwriters did not deserve the opportunity to appeal or try the case again.

Jhene Aiko Is A Damn Crip?

https://youtu.be/jnQ4V-wajLY

(AllHipHop Rumors) Is Jhene Aiko a Rollin 60s Crip? I have to admit I thought I knew something about Ms. Aiko! I now realize I know nothing! She is way more than a pretty faced singer that dates Big Sean. I have come to realize that the petite West Coast songstress of Japanese descent is not what I thought she was. Jhene is closely affiliated with The Rollin 60s! And in her latest video, which is pretty dope, she flaunts that link very, very clearly. Kurupt Young Gotti is even in the video, supporting his homegirl.

But, when you look, you see it flashes a number of notables like Nipsey Hussel and others that I don’t recognize. I know they are notable because they are in the damn video. In the song, J. Aiko is singing to a male and basically tells him, he’s about to die.

Oh boy, I’ma have to call them boys on you
Aw damn, aw damn, I’ma have to call that man on you
Something, something, something must be really wrong with you
Why can you just tell the f#####’ truth now?
Yes your mama did, she raised a fool, wow
What the f### did you learn in that school house?
To chasin’ thrills, takin’ pills in the hills
Slauson Hills, Overhills might get you killed
And I won’t come ’round them parts no more
Do not run your mouth no more
I can’t protect you no more
It’s out of my hands for sure

Will she be beefing with Cardi Blood? Of course not. But, it certainly adds a different texture to an entertainer than seems delicate as a flower. I suppose I wasn’t listening to her close enough, because she has apparently been dropping these “bread crumbs” for a minute now. I just didn’t see them.

Big Sean…watch ya back, boy.

Cops Arrest Jacquees For Ignoring Commands To Stop His Lamborghini

(AllHipHop News) R&B singer Jacquees was arrested last night in Miami after cops tried to stop him in his Lamborghini.

Police claim they attempted to stop the “B.E.D.” hitmaker along trendy Ocean Drive after they noticed he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Cops say they attempted to stop Jacquees, born Jacquees Broadnax, but he ignored their orders to pull over and he simply just kept on driving.

After he finally stopped, Jacquees allegedly refused to produce his driver’s license and engaged in a back and forth with the officers, where he yelled “don’t touch me” as a large crowd gathered around the scene.

Additional officers were called in to assist in arresting Jacquees, who was eventually charged with failure to obey a lawful command, and for the seat belt infraction.

The Game Skips Out On Concert In England After Reportedly Getting Paid

(AllHipHop News) As the online feud between The Game and 6ix9ine continues to play out on social media, hundreds of students in Middlesbrough, England are upset with The Game for another reason. The Gazette reports the rapper born Jayceon Taylor was booked to perform at Teesside University’s Student Union on Wednesday but didn’t show up.

Game was allegedly paid £16,500 ($23,200) and arrived at The Croft Hotel in Darlington that afternoon. However, the California-raised emcee failed to hit the stage for the 7 pm show.

“We have no idea why he didn’t turn up,” said event organizer Junior Masandi. He added, “[The Game] had requested full payment for the show, which we would normally hold off from doing until around an hour before the show. But on this occasion we paid him three hours before. We believed everything was in hand and that he was happy with everything.”

Game has not publicly commented about the canceled concert. Over the last two days, the 1992 album creator did post pictures on Instagram that are tagged from locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

“I was completely heartbroken. I’m fed up, exhausted and absolutely sick,” stated Masandi. “I have no idea where to go with it right now, but we are hoping for some answers once we have spoken with our legal team.”

Twitter users also went on the social media site to express their frustration with Game. Because of the no-show, ticket buyers will reportedly receive a full refund.

XXXtentacion Wins Temporary Freedom To Tour

(AllHipHop News) Rapper XXXtentacion has been given permission to head out on tour while serving house arrest.

The star’s lawyer urged the judge overseeing his case to relax the restrictions surrounding his confinement, based on good behavior, and allow the rapper to promote his new material on the road – and the lawmaker agreed.

XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, will now have to submit to monthly drug tests and report his travel plans.

In return, he will be able to remove his ankle monitor and head out on tour.

The “Look At Me!” hitmaker was placed under house arrest after being hit with 15 new felony charges for what prosecutors believe to be witness tampering by coercing his girlfriend into not testifying against him
