Soulja Boy Down To Collaborate With Chris Brown After He Knocks Him Out

(AllHipHop News) Soulja Boy wants the world to know that he’s taking his training for his upcoming bout with R&B singer Chris Brown serious.

Even though Soulja constantly posts images of himself smoking marijuana out of cigars on his social media feeds, Soulja said he plans to be in top shape by the time March rolls around.

“I’m training every day until the fight. I know that Floyd is not going to be able to be there with me every single day, as much as I need him, but with Holyfield, we can make it happen,” Soulja Boy told Billboard.com.

Soulja Boy, who dumped his trainer Floyd Mayweather earlier this week in favor of Evander Holyfield, said it was simply a decision made out of necessity and not because of any issues between the two.

Soulja Boy seems very confident that Evander Holyfield will teach him the proper techniques to defeat Chris Brown, who is being trained by Holyfield’s old arch nemesis, Mike Tyson.

Soulja Boy said he was even down to collaborate with Chris Brown, after the fight was over.

“If it was up to me, after I knock him out or after we fight, we can shake hands and be cool after that. We’ll have our issues out the way. If he wants to make a song, we can make a song,” Soulja Boy told Billboard.com.

Soulja Boy and Chris Brown are supposed to fight each other in Dubai this March.

Young Dolph Goes In On Yo Gotti; Explains New “The King of Memphis Gelato Mixtape”

(AllHipHop News) Young Dolph is preparing to release his new mixtape tomorrow, and the first single from is a shot at his rival, Yo Gotti.

On “Play Wit Yo B##ch,” Young Dolph labels Yo Gotti “Hoe Gotti” and claims the other “King of Memphis” is jealous because Dolph never signed with CMG.

“I hear you sleek dissin’ but that s### lame/All that make believe rappin’ about cocaine/Don’t play with me Ho Gotti you a hoe mane/You went from my biggest fan, to my biggest hater/Begging me to sign with you, but I had too much paper”

The new song, which was produced by Zaytoven, will draw attention to Dolph’s upcoming “The King of Memphis’ Gelato Mixtape,” however the 11-track release has more than just controversy.

“Gelato” features guests like Migos, Lil Yachty, Wiz Khalifa, and fellow Paper Route Empire member Jay Fizzle.

“It’s a weed smoking, money counting album,” Young Dolph said of the rest of the album.

“This album is for when you have those days when you wake up and it’s Friday or Saturday and your whole day finna be lit. It’s like, ‘My folks are with me, we finna have fun, we’re gonna smoke hella weed all day, we’re hitting up the spot, then the other spot, getting fresh at the mall, change clothes four times a day, we’re gonna hit the clubs at night, etc.’

Young Dolph’s “The King of Memphis’ Gelato Mixtape” lands in stores on Friday.

Poor Meek man! Folks were already letting him have it for a million and one reasons, and Game had to hit him low. Meek’s ego has to be hurt.

Although Drake promised to never perform “Back To Back” again, we the people, will NEVER forget those lines and that L Meek took.

Drake has been wanting Nicki Minaj for a while, so maybe he’ll finally have his chance. Fans have been also taunting Meek by telling him that Drake stole his girl.

If Drake does in fact wife Minaj up, Game will be right there to take a few more shots at the Philly rapper.

The Weeknd Discusses New Collection With H&M

The Weeknd has just revealed his new capsule collection with retailer H&M.

The singer created a collection that “mixes utility and streetwear silhouettes with tailored lines,” to make a fashion statement this Spring.

The “Spring Icon Selected by The Weeknd” capsule collection features 25 different pieces, from bombers and hoodies, to t-shirts and outerwear that includes a motorbike jacket and a zip up work shirt with faux suede.

“I had a great time selecting my Spring icons at H&M. I love the mix of urban pieces like bombers and hoodies with tailored shirts and blazers,” The Weeknd said in a statement. “Every piece is both effortless and fresh which is just how menswear should be.”

The line from The Weeknd will be available at every H&M store that carries menswear, as well on their website site starting on March 2.

Birdman Says He Is Going To Drop 500 Unreleased Cash Money Songs Each Year

(AllHipHop News) While there’s no release date in sight for Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated Cash Money/Young Money album Tha Carter V, Bryan “Birdman” Williams is planning on releasing a ton of music over the next few years.

According to Birdman, he recently went through the Cash Money vaults and said he found thousands of unreleased songs from artists on his label that he plans to start releasing.

It might sound farfetched, but Birdman has been talking about flooding the market with Cash Money music since 2012.

Before the feud with his flagship artist Lil Wayne, Birdman had said that he wanted to release 100 Cash Money albums each year.

Current and former artists on the label include Jacquees, Juvenile, Ralo, Caskey, Nicki Minaj, The Hot Boys, Austin Mahone, Jay Sean, Rich Gang, Bow Wow, DJ Khaled and others.

So far, Birdman hasn’t elaborated on release dates for the avalanche of unreleased rap music.

Nicki Minaj’s L.A. Mansion Trashed; Thieves Make Off With $200,000 In Jewelry

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj’s mansion in Los Angeles was burglarized and trashed, according to police, who are looking for suspects.

According to TMZ.com, someone went inside of the house, turned over furniture and other items like picture frames and perfume bottles, leaving the house completely trashed.

Not only was her mansion vandalized, but the culprits made off with over $200,000 in jewelry and clothes, but certain items, which were left behind, were cut to pieces, according to TMZ.com.

The robbery comes on the heels of Nicki’s breakup with Meek Mill, and her subsequent reunion with Meek’s archenemy, fellow Young Money rapper Drake.

Police have no suspects as of press time.

Kanye Dropped From NY Fashion Week Over Erratic Behavior

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has been dropped from the official New York Fashion Week schedule after failing to approach the Council of Fashion Designers about booking a time slot.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the rapper would be showing his Yeezy Season 5 collection in collaboration with Adidas during the biannual event on February 15 at the city’s Pier 59 Studios.

However, the time slot he has chosen at 5pm has already been booked by Marchesa, with the label set to show in between Anna Sui and Thom Browne.

West’s decision to not approach New York Fashion Week officials follows last year’s disastrous off-calendar presentation, for which he withheld the show’s location until 12 hours before its start time and ended up clocking in around four-and-a-half hours of event time.

This led to it conflicting with shows by Whit, Michelle Helene, R13 and the Parsons MFA. Models also fainted in the searing heat during the show.

“Once again, CFDA was not approached or consulted about the possibility of Kanye West showing on the official New York Fashion Week schedule,” the organization’s president and chief executive officer Steven Kolb told WWD.

“As the scheduler of the week, the CFDA works with more than 300 brands to identify appropriate times for them to show their collections and avoid scheduling conflicts. Not going through the proper channels is disruptive to the whole week and unfair to designers who have secured spots through the formal procedure.

“This bad behavior is not acceptable to the CFDA and should not be tolerated by the industry. Because of this, the CFDA will not list Kanye West on the official schedule.”

However, Kolb confirmed that the CFDA is willing to team up with the musician to find him an available time slot that does not clash with other presentations.

Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have declined to comment on the situation.

In other West style news, the “Stronger” singer is set to drop a new fashion venture with his wife Kim Kardashian.

The pair has teamed up to create a collection of eye-catching children’s clothes, with the reality star announcing the range via a video starring their three-year-old daughter North on Snapchat earlier this week.

T.I. Talks Criticizing Lil Wayne’s Controversial Black Lives Matter Statement (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter found himself as the subject of significant backlash when the Young Money boss gave a bewildering answer about Black Lives Matter.

During an interview with Nightline, Wayne responded to a question about BLM by declaring, “I am a young black rich motherf-cker. If that don’t let you know that America understands black motherf-ckers matter these days, I don’t know what it is.”

Weezy’s “Swagga Like Us” collaborator Clifford “T.I.” Harris spoke out about the Nightline comments back in November.

“Our relationship outside of music is what makes me sensitive to your disposition. I KNOW you wired a bit different than most other responsible adults, but still n-gga U TRIPPING!!!!” Tip posted on Instagram. “I don’t know what you goin thru, or what you are attempting to avoid but this sh-t is absolutely unacceptable!!!! You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name and tarnishing your legacy.”

The Atlanta-based emcee further addressed the Wayne-BLM situation while visiting the Sway in the Morning radio show.

“That was the most difficult thing that I’ve had to do because I still consider that one of my partners from as along as I’ve been doing this sh-t professionally. I got a lot of love and respect for him,” stated Tip. “It was a knee-jerk reaction because I was confronted by my kid asking me about it.”

The Us or Else creator added, “I ain’t gonna let nobody sit around and bash bro. I feel like I have that relationship with him where I can say that… He’s still a legend. He’s still, in my eyes, one of the greatest to ever do what we do. In a way, I did it so other people wouldn’t be able to do it… I feel like everything I said, I said out of love.”

T.I. also stated his IG message was more for Wayne’s young followers than it was for the New Orleans native.

“You need to correct the kids. Bro is a grown, rich ass man. He’s gonna do what he do and feel how he feel. It ain’t really about correcting him. You’re speaking to him, but you’re really trying to get the message across to kids that follow him,” explained the Hustle Gang founder.

Besides working together on music, T.I. and Wayne have been connected with each other in other areas.

Both southern rap stars are artist-owners of the Tidal streaming service.

Their daughters – Zonnique Pullins and Reginae Carter – were once members of the R&B/Pop group The OMG Girlz.

Is A New Drake & Migos Collaboration On The Way?

Remember when Drake hopped on the remix of Migos‘ “Versace” making it a complete hit in 2013. They then linked in 2014 on “Trophies”, and now it looks like Migos is suggesting that a third collaboration with Drake may be on the way.

Hmmmmmm will Migos appear on ‘More Life’? Maybe!

Migos member Quavo expressed that although they aren’t “close” to Drizzy, he definitely pays attention to their movement.

“He always be popping up and let us know he see us. We ain’t got no relationship with him, but I know he watching and he respect the wave and he knows what’s going on. And we got something on the way,” said Quavo.

Migos have already dropped their ‘Culture’ album, and we’ll have the 6 God’s new album in less than a month, so their collaboration would have logical placement on ‘More Life’, or it may just be put out as a single.

Migos know that Drake is definitely rocking with them as they recalled an old 2013 interview of Drake arguing to DJ Drama that Migos were popping more than Rich Homie Quan was.

“When I seen that, I knew he wanted to work with us,” said Quavo.

It looks like Drake has confirmed that something is indeed on the way, as he liked an Instagram post of a clip of this very same interview of Migos and DJ Whoo Kid.

Robyn Hood is breaking through in the rap scene and on TV screens.  AllHipHop’s Camille Jay got a chance to talk to her all about it.

Lyricist and actress, Robyn Hood, is breaking through the rap scene and on TV screens.  This female emcee prides herself on being a wordsmith that thinks outside of the box.  Inspired by the works of William Shakespeare, mixed with experiences gained from growing up in the streets of Philadelphia, Robyn Hood has an versatility she is not ashamed by.  With a consciousness similar to Lauryn Hill, and a wordplay crafted like Lil Wayne, Robyn Hood developed her own style of music that puts her in a lane with no other.

” You don’t need to compare me. Receive my contribution and take it from there.  Give people the credit of just being themselves and stop trying to mold them in some kind of way,” said Robyn Hood.

Seeing through the lenses of  “poverty and prestige” Robyn Hood is liberated from closed-mindedness and possess a balance that most artists do not have.   In a world oversaturated with sexuality and violence, she uses her craft to tackle topics that heavily impact the Hip-Hop culture, however, they often go unaddressed.  Her song “Red & Blue,” juxtaposes the battle that urban children face when confronted with gang or police violence.

“The police don’t look like us. The gang members do.  But are each of them here to protect or to harm us?  We are so prone to be being attacked; we are running from the police and the gangs.  And you can’t address one without addressing the other.”  Robyn told AllHipHop.

With the use of strong vocabulary, clear speech (opposed to today’s “mumble rap” trend), and a shortage of profanity within her lyrics, Robyn Hood aims to go against the grain, providing entertaining yet educating music to her audiences.  Through songs like “Reach” and “Holes in My Pocket,” Robyn talks about the struggles of being responsible with money and continuing to stay strong through obstacles, ensuring there will be a brighter day.  She hopes to continue to use her platform to be a positive role model and an active member of society.

“Not many of us are blessed with the positions and platforms to even say anything that can make a difference.  So if you don’t use your voice to speak out, then who will?”

Aside from the pressures of putting out music that is well received, Robyn Hood, like many other female emcees battle with being a women in a male dominated field.  Through her music and her roles in various shows, she is sure to showcase various types of women, aside from the negative roles African American women are commonly type-casted for.  She currently has a reoccurring role on Blue Bloods as a medical examiner and has appeared on several episodes  “Law & Order” and the classic series “The Wire.”

Robyn Hood continues her work in music and the arts.  She is the midst of developing her freshman album, working with Cultural Bastards on the production.  Her visual for the track “Fresh” from her latest EP “For Higher” is out now.

Nick Cannon Talks New Music, New Businesses And More (VIDEO)

Artist, actor, comedian, TV host, business executive, Howard University student – these are some of the hats Cannon wears on a regular basis.

AllHipHop.com spoke with the 36-year-old multi-talented entertainer about the many endeavors he is currently working on.

Cannon was quick to point out that creating music is still at the top of his to-do list.

“I’ve been dropping mixtapes. We first dropped The Gospel of Ike Turn Up. That was my R&B tape where I’m just telling my side of the story about a lot of my personal life,” explained Cannon. “Now where just getting to the core of it, getting back to rhyming, making good music.”

In addition, Cannon called the studio his “happy place” and a “safe place.”

Danny Brown Addresses Reports He’s Releasing An EP With Producer Paul White

The blogosphere began posting articles claiming Brown and White were set to drop an EP titled Accelerator on February 10.

It turns out the collection is actually a  White solo effort, not a full collaboration with Brown.

The creator of the critically acclaimed Atrocity Exhibition album addressed the confusion on Twitter.

“You blogs tripping bruh bruh im not releasing any new EP that’s Paul White new project so u know I had to show the bruh bruh support,” wrote Brown.

White and Brown have worked closely together through the years.

Brown’s Atrocity Exhibition, Old, and XXX albums feature production by White.

The British national tapped Danny Brown to contribute to several of his previous bodies of work as well.

Travis Scott Falls Through Hole On Stage During Drake Concert (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Falling on stage is a rite of passage for any entertainer. Falling through a stage is another matter.

That’s what happened to Travis Scott at the 02 Arena show for Drake’s “Boy Meets World Tour” in London.

However, Scott ended up falling through a hole in the stage before climbing back out the cavity.

Drake was using the open space for a large globe to emerge.

Apparently, Scott’s fall damaged the stage prop, and as a result, Drake offered refunds to the fans in attendance.

The Toronto native told the crowd, “London, England, I love you. I hope you enjoyed your free show.”

Scott did not seemed to bothered by the incident.

The “Goosebumps”  rhymer posted on Twitter, “The sh-t was fun london is wild… By far one of the most turnt and epic sh-t ever f-ck.

Kanye’s Officially Hosting “Yeezy Season 5” Runway Show Next Month

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West will officially return to fashion week with the upcoming “Yeezy Season 5” which will take place next month.

According to reports, Kanye’s new fashion show will take place at Pier 59 Studios in Manhattan.

Although there were not many details about the show, it’s supposed to take place Wednesday, February 15, at 5:00 p.m.

Last year’s Yeezy Season Four did not go too well for the hip-hop star.

He reportedly fired all of his staff after the show, where models fainted which took place on the grounds of an abandoned hospital on Roosevelt Island.

Bay Area Rappers Celebrate #JackHistoryMonth

(AllHipHop News) It has been almost two years since late Bay Area rapper The Jacka was shot and killed in Oakland.

Despite the cold case, the rapper’s friends are celebrating the annual #JackHistoryMonth, to pay tribute to the slain rapper.

The yearly event is spearheaded by Bay Area music distributor Thizzler On The Roof.

“The Jacka was a huge part of the Bay Area rap community. He was universally loved and respected, and a lot of people were personally affected by his music and his generosity,” Thizzler founder Matt Werner told NBC News.

In addition to a tribute event, #JackHistoryMonth will also feature a 24-hour radio station featuring The Jacka’s music and interviews.

Police are still looking for the gunman who killed The Jacka, born Shaheed Akbar, on February 2, 2015.

Kim K and Kanye Launching A Kids Clothing Line

(AllHipHop News) Kim Kardashsian and Kanye West are teaming up for a new children’s clothing line.

The reality star and her rapper spouse have joined forces for a range of eye-catching and unique clothes for little boys and girls to wear, Kim revealed on her Snapchat.

To showcase one of the first designs in the collection, Kim enlisted the help of her three-year-old daughter North, who modeled a yellow sequined dress which changes color in the light and a yellow Yeezy shearling jacket.

“See daddy and mommy are doing a kids’ line, and these are some of the pieces,” Kim is heard saying in the video as North dons the ensemble. “Northie picked out the colors and the fabric.”

The 36-year-old reality star then shared a snap of North in the outfit, writing: “Kanye & my kids line coming soon! #SequinDress #ShearlingCoat.”

It’s not the first time Kim has ventured into the junior fashion market, as she previously launched her and her sisters’ Kardashian Kids line in 2015. Kanye has also tried his hand at designing for little people, having created a mini look from his Adidas collection for North.

Further details of Kim and Kanye’s kids range, such as when the clothes will be available and how much they will cost, have yet to be revealed.

Kim’s style has changed significantly since she started dating Kanye, with the musician overhauling her entire wardrobe in a previous episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

She now prefers more revealing, figure-hugging ensembles, and told the Huffington Post in a previous interview that she is hoping to pass on her self-confidence to North.

“I took a lot of direction from my husband when he introduced me more to the fashion world,” Kim explained. “And now I love taking risks. I love wearing things that maybe I couldn’t quite understand at the time. I just love when someone has their own style – even if it’s something that I wouldn’t wear. So I would just encourage North to be herself and wear what she thinks she looks good in. Just be yourself and take risks.”
