J. Cole Ties Drake and DMX With Fourth #1

(AllHipHop News) Rapper J. Cole has scored his fourth number one album on the U.S. albums chart with 4 Your Eyez Only.

The hitmaker earned the third-largest debut of 2016 on the Billboard 200, selling 492,000 units in its first week of release.

Only Drake’s Views and Beyonce’s Lemonade bested the 31-year-old’s 4 Your Eyez Only with 1.04 million and 653,000 units sold, respectively.

J. Cole also joins DMX and Drake as one of only three rappers to have their first four studio albums debut at number one on the chart.

Meanwhile, Pentatonix’s A Pentatonix Christmas climbs one spot to number two on the new countdown, while The Weeknd’s Starboy slips to three.

NBA All-Star Baron Davis and Hip- Hop Artist YG Bring Christmas Wonderland to Compton

(AllHipHop News) YG and Baron Davis linked up with the Black Santa Company over the weekend to host a toy drive in Compton.

YG and Baron were joined by Compton’ Mayor Aja Brown at The 2016 Compton Christmas Winter Wonderland.

All three pitched in to hand out toys and wrap gifts, while YG gave a surprise performance at the toy drive, which was held at Wilson Park.

The toy drive also served as the launchpad for Baron Davis’ Black Santa Company, which willintroduce new characters and tell diverse, compelling stories.

“With all that’s going on in this country, and particularly in the African-American community, I want to offer heroes and role models through storytelling,” Baron Davis told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Black Santa is the first character. His mission is to celebrate diversity, the joy of giving and the magic of good. He’s here to bring people together and have fun.”

The 2016 Compton Christmas Winter Wonderland was sponsored in part by Republic Services, Fiesta Taxi, Prism Realty and 7-Eleven.

With Frosty Being In The House Boosie Badazz Wasn’t The Only Celebrity Totally Iced Out

The city of Houston came out for IceMan Nick’s Iced Out Holiday Boosie Bash, hosted by Boosie Badazz this weekend. The takeover held at Drink Houston was a memorable affair that included performances, plenty of special guests and even a red carpet appearance by Frosty the Snowman.

 

Snootie Wild, Z-Ro, Robby Betts, Chinara Butler and J Prince, Jr., were among the recognizable faces who attended the events. Party-goers enjoyed an evening of excitement that included impromptu performances by both Boosie and Snootie Wild.

Beyonce Sued For Using Roc-A-Fella Logo

(AllHipHop News) Beyonce’s heading to court for allegedly using the famous Roc-A-Fella logo without permission in one of her music videos according to a new lawsuit.

Dwayne Walker believes he has a case against Beyonce, for using the logo he claims he created in the video for her hit single “Drunk in Love.”

Walker maintains he created the Roc-A-Fella logo for Jay Z and Damon Dash in 1995.

Walker filed a $7 million lawsuit against Jay Z, Damon Dash and Roc-A-Fella in 2012, claiming he signed an agreement with Damon Dash that granted him royalties for the logo.

However, a judge dismissed the lawsuit in September on 2016, due to lack of evidence.

Jay Z, Dame Dash and their defense maintained that Roc-A-Fella art director Adrien Vargas was the one who actually created the famous logo.

TMZ.com reports that Walker is attempting to get a judge to pull the hit video, and award him damages.

Fabolous & The Game Weigh In On Blac Chyna & Rob Kardashian’s Antics

At this point no one knows what’s real when it comes to anything related to the crazy Kardashian family. In the latest publicity stunt, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian jumped on Instagram basically telling the world that they had broken up.

Rob went on a rant of posts saying Blac Chyna The Grinch stole Christmas, the food, furniture, and their new baby girl Dream.

Interestingly enough Rob and Chyna were with the sh-ts the day before one of their specials on E! would air, leading everyone to believe that this was nothing more than one of Kris Jenner’s stunts.

At this point no one knows what to believe. No one can tell what’s real or fake with this family. People don’t know whether or not to feel sorry for Rob, or inspired by Blac Chyna and her “finesse game”.

Two rappers that were “affected” by BlacRob’s antics were Fabolous and The Game. Fabolous seemed to poke fun at the situation by saying that it all sounded like some punchlines for a good joke. The Game took a more sympathetic approach by saying,

“Wow I’m truly sorry bro. Thst is really f-ckin sad because I know your heart & I actually was genuinely happy for you having your first child…. we use to talk about you being a dad one day & here it is. & you have to be put thru this. I’m here.”

Did Gucci Mane “Lie On” Angela Yee For Publicity For His New Album?

(AllHipHop Rumors) I don’t know man. This one has many scratching their heads asking who is lying in the situation?

Given Gucci Mane’s interaction with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club while he put her on blast, many have wondered is Gucci telling the truth about the situation, or is he lying on his d-ck again?

Gucci was on them drugs at one point, and he has gone out on a limb saying he slept with all kinds of women including Nicki Minaj, Blac Chyna, Ciara, Fantasia, Buffy the Body, Keyshia Cole, Iggy Azalea and more.

Gucci did look Angela Yee dead in her face as he proceeded to “call her out” about her being on his d-ck back in the day during her ‘Lip Service’ days though. Gucci even went as far as to say that Yee would hit him up asking which hotel he was staying in.

Here’s the twist in Angela’s defense though: although Yee has been open sexually as far as her discussing sexual topics and her sexual escapades, we can’t see her or anyone else being on the old Guwop. Y’all know how the old Gucci used to look and act.

Anyway, word on the street is that Gucci blasted Angela Yee to create controversy and publicity for his new album, ‘The Return Of The East Atlanta Santa’.

Lil Kim Is Still Battling Skin Bleaching Rumors

Lil Kim is still NOT here for the bleaching rumors. While Lil Kim is one of the best female rappers of all time, she will never live down the ridicule from her going too far with the surgeries that altered her face and body for the worse.

People are back at it accusing the Queen Bee of dipping into the bleach kits. Side note, it’s interesting that Nicki Minaj doesn’t get a lot of flack for allegedly bleaching her skin… we guess because her face still looks fine.

A fan commented on Instagram accusing Kim of altering her skin after a video showed Kim turning up on stage with 2 Chainz surfaced. Photos from the evening also turned up showing a drastically light Kim. Come to find out the photos were supposedly photoshopped. Kim can’t catch a break.

Remember earlier this year Kim went off on a fan for accusing her of bleaching by saying,

“Ok but when the f*ck did I bleach my skin u miserable M####! My last post clearly shows that but u haters will always have something to say even when facts r right in front of ur face but I understand ur just doing ur job as a hater but understand this … I checked my calendar and I still won’t give a f*ck Neveruary the 1st either.”

To Kim’s defense, it’s very much possible that she hasn’t bleached her skin. It oftentimes looks like she just uses makeup that’s way too light.

We wonder will Kim ever come to terms with what she did to herself. She needs to sit down with Iyanla and Oprah we swear. She’s still the Queen Bee though! We still love her.

Is Birdman Planning A Cash Money Reunion Tour Without Lil Wayne?!

C’mon man! Word on the street is Birdman seems to believe that a Cash Money 20th Anniversary tour will not only crush Diddy’s Bad Boy Reunion Tour, but it will also go on just fine withouth Lil Wayne.

You can’t do a Cash Money tour without Wayne man. It just won’t be the same.

Sources close to Birdman have told TMZ that the tour will allegedly kick off in February, and it could feature Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Turk, some up and coming acts, and Birdman, himself.

Allegedly Wayne has an open invitation to the tour, but as you know it’s still “F-ck Cash Money” as far as Weezy is concerned! Do you think Birdman and Wayne will make up in time for the tour? Do you think Wayne will tour if that money is right?

George Clinton Says He’s Glad Childish Gambino Is Bringing Funk Back

(AllHipHop News) The topic of Funk music cannot be discussed without mentioning the legendary George Clinton.

Parliament-Funkadelic’s frontman helped spread the P-Funk during the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Elements of the genre have been used in Hip Hop music for decades, and Childish Gambino embraced the Funk sound for his latest album Awaken, My Love!

HipHopDX spoke with Clinton about the Atlanta representative’s new collection.

“I just heard it [Awaken, My Love] one time and I like the songs,” said the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer. “I’m aware of his music and know he’s into P-Funk so I know it’s going to be some good music. I haven’t had a chance to get all the way into it. When I did hear it, it sounded like a cross between P-Funk and Prince influence. I’m proud that he’s into the funk and glad him and others are bringing some new funk back.”

Awaken, My Love! was produced by Gambino and Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson.

The LP opened at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart with 101,000 album-equivalent units earned in the first week.

Funk Flex Continues Blasting Lil Yachty: Never Again Will No Bar Having Rapper Speak On Biggie

(AllHipHop News) Funkmaster Flex is not letting up on his online assault against Lil Yachty.

The Hot 97 radio personality returned to Twitter to send a subliminal message directed at the “Broccoli” rhymer.

“Haaaa!!! Never again will a red hair no bar having happy RAPPER speak on Biggie!” stated Flex. “Haaaa!! DONT try to downplay the real sh-t to advance bullsh-t bars!!!”

Yachty received widespread criticism after the Atlanta native called The Notorious B.I.G. “overrated.”

That led to the back-and-forth between Yachty and Flex, which included Lil Boat blasting the veteran DJ in a freestyle on Beats 1.

Funk Flex also slammed the “1 Night” performer during his radio show.

Yachty fired back by calling out the 48-year-old New Yorker for attacking a 19-year-old artist that is “making a name for myself, feeding my family, promoting positivity, and having fun.”

According to Billboard, “One Dance” is the first song to earn 1 billion plays on Spotify.

The single – which features Wizkid and Kyla – spent 9 weeks atop the Hot 100 chart.

In addition, Drake was named Spotify’s most streamed male artist of 2016.

The OVO founder dominated the year-end numbers on Apple Music as well.

Drake’s new “One Dance” record for Spotify is the latest major feat connected to his fourth studio album Views.

The LP has also been certified 4-times platinum by the RIAA.

Game Appeals $7.1 Million Sexual Assault Verdict

(AllHipHop News) Compton rapper, Game, will continue to fight a reality show contestant who accused the rapper of sexual assault, and ultimately won a $7.1 million verdict.

A woman named Priscilla Rainey, who was a contestant on his reality dating show “She’s Got Game” accused Game, born Jayceon Taylor, of assaulting her on an “after hours date,” that she thought was part of the show.

Rainey claimed Game put his hands up her skirt and rubbed her bare v##### and buttocks during a drunken evening out on the town.

Rainey, who originally sued for $10 million, was awarded a $7.1 million verdict, after a four-day trial in November.

Game filed a notice of appeal last week, indicating he is planning to fight the verdict.
