Garrett Zoukis’ Lead Single “Outa My Mind” Is A Hit

Garrett Zoukis- Outa My Mind

We hear lyrics about rappers who wish they had the talent to be athletes and vice versa, but what happens when you’re the anomaly who has both? DMV rapper Garrett Zoukis, who entered the University of Cincinnati’s division one baseball program as a blue chip recruit had to answer that very question.

After a year of balancing his music career with being a student-athlete, Zoukis decided to take a break from his education to focus on making music. While he wasn’t with his team or studying, he was on the road preforming with fellow lyricists including Logic, Skizzy Mars and Mike Stud. Over the past 12 months he recruited 3x Grammy Award winner, Pete Novak, to help him polish his sound, and has since amassed a catalog of over 100 unreleased songs.

His latest offering ‘Outa My Mind‘ is the first track from his freshman album, EUNOIA. Zoukis’ advanced lyricism coupled with bouncy production from Omito build anticipation for his upcoming release. Garrett’s website indicates the project will be put out in Fall 2017. Follow him on Twitter and give the record a listen below.

Love In The Club: Offset & Cardi B Get Freaky In The Club

(AllHipHop Rumors) I’m sure everyone has gotten a little freaky-deeky in the club with their significant other a time or two….or not. LOL.

Well wild things Cardi B and Offset must’ve been gone off of the Hennessy recently because they took to their live streams to record themselves, or record Offset playing in between Cardi B’s legs rather.

Judging by this video and the video of Offset bringing Cardi out on stage recently to perform her hit song “Bodak Yellow”, I guess the two are still going strong!

Offset shut down the cheating rumors without having to say too much, I guess.

I’m not going to lie, I still wonder if they are really a couple, or is this an extended publicity stunt that works for both of them? What are your thoughts? Check out the video via Famelous below.

It Looks Like An OVO & XO Project Is On The Way!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Just what we’ve been waiting for!

Fans of Drake and The Weeknd have been waiting on a new collaboration ever since they gave us “Crew Love” 6 years ago.

Drake restored hope in fans when he put The Weeknd on the spot about doing an OVOXO project during Drizzy’s OVO Fest.

“I want you to understand what this is. First of all, I don’t want to do this to you on stage, but I feel like that OVOXO project has to happen at some point. I just want to say that,” Drake told The Weeknd.

The Weeknd appears to be enthusiastic, but there has been no formal confirmation yet.

They better get in that studio together!

Drake has to stop teasing us with the possibilities of joint projects with other big artists, and really just make them happen!

Would you be here for a joint album from the two?

Trouble & Alley Boy Make Interesting Comments Seemingly About Yung Mazi’s Death

(AllHipHop Rumors) According to several social media posts, the late rapper Yung Mazi was living recklessly before he was shot and killed earlier this weak. Everyone is not simply writing R.I.P.

DJ Burn One already said that the city doesn’t mourn finessers like Mazi, and now some other folks have made some posts that also stick out.

Alley Boy posted and deleted a post that said,

“When you dance with death it comes to you. I don’t cry when people die. I just understand dat if you don’t wanna die stay out da way and don’t do sh-t to get you killed early in your life. We all gon die one day I just hope da reason is for sum I stood for.

Trouble said,

“Its like they wait on you to die!!
#ImJustTrouB ! #KeepAllYoFakeLove #WordToSkooB #MMBDTE.”

Trouble went on to explain that he feels that instead of all of the fake love that people show after someone dies, people could have given love and advice to the people while they were alive.

I see what Trouble is saying about keeping it real and being positive influences in other people’s lives, but at the end of the day, folks are going to do what they want to do.

On another note, a number of people have claimed that Mazi had it coming to him, and he was living on borrowed time. What are your thoughts? RIP Yung Mazi.

Cyhi The Prynce Talks Helping To Bring His Vibe To Jay-Z & Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’

(AllHipHop News) The certified platinum album Watch The Throne celebrated its six-year anniversary yesterday (August 8).

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative effort presented the two Hip Hop superstars as the elite monarchs of Hip Hop culture.

In a new interview with AllHipHop.com, G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Cyhi The Prynce spoke about how his own mixtapes – like 2010’s Royal Flush and 2014’s Black Hystori Project played a role in setting the tone for WTT and other musical work by Kanye.

“When you listen to Watch The Throne, I was the one on that prince/king vibe,” said Cyhi. “I was even in those sessions. I was supposed to be on the album. A lot of people don’t know that.”

He continued, “So when you hear Black Hystori Project, you hear ‘New Slaves,’ you hear ‘Blood On The Leaves,’ you hear Yeezus. That’s what I always brought to my peers. They gave me different ways to make my music, and when I come in the room I also bring my vibe.”

The Atlanta spitter is preparing to drop his debut studio album No Dope On Sundays later this year.

No Dope On Sundays will include the single “Movin’ Around” featuring Schoolboy Q, and that track apparently got a co-sign from Hov.

“I also played my album for Jay-Z, and Jay-Z is the one that told me to put out ‘Movin’ Around’ first,” revealed Cyhi.

The 5-time Grammy nominated songwriter (Yeezus, The Life of Pablo) also discussed how No Dope On Sundays will complement the themes on Jay’s latest LP 4:44.

“I love 4:44. It was incredible, and my album is kind of in that same direction. But like I said, I was the one who waved the flag first, in my opinion,” Cyhi stated.

Did Meek Mill Kick Omelly Out Of Dream Chasers?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Uh oh!

Word on the curb is that Meek Mill may have kicked Omelly out of the Dream Chasers camp!

Meek and his first cousin Omelly allegedly had a big fight the night of Meek’s show at Drais in Las Vegas. Apparently Omelly approached Meek because he was frustrated about his career.

It seems like Meek has been carrying Omelly for a while, but Omelly allegedly feels like Meek is not doing anything for his career. Omelly supposedly feels like Meek always puts outside people before his career.

Rumor has it that the argument almost turned physical with Teefy Bey having to break it up. It looks like Omelly hasn’t been with Meek since Meek’s July 24th show at Drais.

Omelly posted a photo of him and Meek on his Instagram page yesterday with a caption that people felt like was taking a shot at Meek.

It turns out that Omelly was quoting Meek’s lyrics from the song “Issues.” The question is was Omelly using Meek’s own words against him?!

What are your thoughts?

“Yea I know mmmmhhmmmm he lame don’t ever bring that p#### boy up again #CUTDIFFERENT?? #DCxOWNBREED #DC4LIFE #RIPLILSNUPE #winsandlosses #WALKWITMEvol1 #LINKINMYBIO #COPTHAT,” posted Omelly.
