Jeezy’s seventh studio album, ‘Trap Or Die 3’, has certainly been heating up the streets!
Although the project is already a fan favorite, there’s another album fans are certainly interested in!
Pastor Young aka Young Jizzle opened up to Rap Up about the possibility of a joint album with Jay Z!
“We talked about it after we went on tour. We had a couple of words about doing a project like that. At the time, he got busy and I got busy but there was definitely a conversation had about us doing some type of project whether it was an EP, a street album, or whatever,” said Jeezy.
Although a joint album would take a considerable amount of time, neither party is ruling it out! Both Hov and Young both are known for “going in” and talking that good shhhh on the track, so they would have to take time out to get the sound together.
Many were surprised to see that Hov wasn’t featured on ‘Trap Or Die 3’, but Jeezy revealed that Jay Z actually loved the album and expressed that it was complete without him. In fact, Jay Z was one of the first to hear the album, and he loved the song ‘All There’ that features the late Bankroll Fresh.
Are you here for this joint project? We certainly are!
(AllHipHop News) Former music mogul Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond scored a major victory in court today (November 1), when a court overturned his murder-for-hire conviction.
Rosemond contended that former Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Kaminsky’s case was biased because prosecution witnesses Henry Butler received substantial benefits for his testimony during the trial.
In November of 2015, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan agreed, and ruled a judge made errors that affected the fairness of the trial, specifically, limiting the defense’s questioning of a key witness.
“Today truth has come to defend me in my fight for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Truth has knocked out falsehood. My God is truth,” Jimmy Henchman told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive statement. “I want to thank my attorneys Jonathan Edelstein, Michael Rayfield and Bruce Maffeo for being soldiers of the inevitable.
“I want to thank my family who has suffered irreparable consequences; Michael K. Williams, Leeann Hellijas and Derrick Hamilton for never taking no as an answer; Don Sikorski and the “Unjust Justice” series for exposing inequality and injustice surrounding my cases.
Rosemond took a swipe at ex-prosecutor Todd Kaminsky, who put the case together against the music executive, built mostly on testimony by informants.
Before the feud with G-Unit turned deadly, Rosemond’s Czar Entertainment managed The Game, Sean Kingston, Brandy, Gucci Mane, Salt-n-Pepa, Mike Tyson, Akon and others.
Jimmy offered up a little message to some of his former friends.
“Lastly to my so called friends and the music business that have abandoned me, the devil is a liar and now you’ve seen the devil and its details,” Jimmy Henchman told AllHipHop.com.
Rosemond’s current attorney Michael Rayfield said he was delighted with the outcome. Even though Rosemond is still serving seven life sentences as a “drug kingpin,” for allegedly heading up a $10 million-a-year cocaine operation (another charge he denies).
Now, the decision to overturn the murder conviction could set the stage for his other case to be dismissed, since most of the same witnesses provided the same testimony.
“We’re delighted by this outcome; it’s a major step in Mr. Rosemond’s path to justice,” Michael Rayfield told AllHipHop.com. “James has consistently maintained his innocence, and we’ll continue to work hard to make sure that he’s ultimately vindicated.”
Rosemond will get a new trial if prosecutors decide to try him again.

(AllHipHop News) Jeezy just dropped his seventh studio album Trap Or Die 3.
While the Atlanta native extended his veteran career with another project, Jeezy still keeps his ears open to some of the newcomers in the culture.
Power 105’s Angie Martinez interviewed Jeezy, and the “Let Em Know” spitter named a few of the new era rappers he is vibing with at the moment.
“[Lil] Durk, YG, all day. As far as young cats, definitely Dave [East],” said Jeezy. “Them cats got energy. I just want to give that knowledge, cause it’s little things that help a cat go a long way.”
He continued, “It could just be them hanging around and seeing certain stuff. But it’s always like that for me. If you’re a real one and you’re really about what you do, then I want to see you succeed.”
Jeezy also gave a major co-sign to buzzing New Yorker Young M.A. last week.
The “OOOUUU” performer was brought out during Jeezy’s set at the Powerhouse 2016 concert in Brooklyn.
(AllHipHop News) Media personality Charlamagne tha God will release a book this year through a major deal with publishing imprint Simon & Schuster.
Next year, Charlamagne is releasing “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It.”
Charlamagne told AllHipHop.com that the book will chronicle Charlemagne’s life growing up in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
“I decided to put out a book for the dreamers,” Charlamagne told AllHipHop.com. “I don’t have all the answers but I’ve got some experiences and lessons I want to share. ‘Black Privilege’ is not for the pessimist it’s for the optimist, who feels like nothing can stop the plan God has for them.”
Charlamagne accomplish this by detailing his journey through the industry with stints besides Wendy Williams, to hosting shows on MTV.
He will also discuss his current status and controversial image as a no-holds-barred interviewer on the hit radio show “The Breakfast Club” with DJ Envy and Angela Yee.
“Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It” is due out in Spring of 2017.
In hilarious news, the internet refuses to believe that Angela Simmons was a virgin before marriage.
She alluded to the “fact” that she was a virgin earlier this year during a Breakfast Club interview, when she said she doesn’t have sex.
Whether she’s claiming virginity before her new marriage or not, her ex Bow Wow revealed that her “mouth game” was A1. Supposedly he came out later and said he never slept with her though.
It’s hilarious because absolutely no one believes Angela was holding out. When Angela tells her sister, Vanessa, on the WE TV show ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’, not even she believes her.
Angela Simmons also says her husband was her first sexual partner, and she got pregnant the first time she had sex.
The independent release has since reached the pinnacle of the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap chart and reminded rap aficionados that Budden is still deadly with the pen.
While the Slaughterhouse representative once again reestablished himself as a top-tier lyricist in the game, he is also continuing to keep his name among the most played Hip Hop podcast hosts.
The second installment of our discussion covers Budden explaining how he is able to balance being a recording artist, the lead mic of The Joe Budden Podcast, and other tasks.
I also questioned the Mood Muzik Ent founder whether his fans could ever see him jump back into the battle rap arena after going head-to-head with Hollow Da Don at Total Slaughter in 2014. Smack White or Organik may want to give Joe Budden a call after reading his answer.
You announced you weren’t doing any more shows in New York. Some outlets ran that saying you were “retiring.” Was that your intention with that statement?
I was saying that I was not doing any more shows under the name Joe Budden because I was going to tour solely as “Rage” from that point moving forward. I was very careful with my wording, but outlets kind of created their narrative and ran for click-bait, I suppose. But then we changed our mind. Some people brought up some very good points. So I said, “Okay, I’ll just title the album that, so we don’t have to change the whole thing.”
You’re an artist and a media figure. How do you balance those two things?
I love it. I’ve been a proponent of this for quite some time from my days on the morning show with Hot 97. That was fun. Kevin Liles made the argument: Could a rapper be too accessible? Would that affect his career? Clearly back then, he thought yes. I thought no. Now we’re seeing today that I’m been proven to be correct. I love it.
As far as me, I don’t separate the two. I am who I am. I’m just on two different platforms. You have people that are fans of the podcast that are not necessarily fans of Joe Budden music. You have fans of Joe Budden music that may not necessarily want to hear me on a podcast or a TV show. You just get people that like you for what they like you for. That’s on them to compartmentalize.
You’re open in your music. And because of that, your core fans feel like they really know who you are as a person. But then you have the general public who may only know you from headlines or internet memes. Does it ever bother you that you may not get the widespread credit for being a talented lyricist and artist?
No, because you attract what you put out there. So what I stand for and my message is not so mainstream or popular. Plus, I’m older. The young people are not supposed to identify with me. That’s not what I do. The people that respect it, hear it, recognize it, and have so much love for it are the people that understand. Those are the people that it’s for. It’s all about who you’re targeting in your music. Some people don’t give a f-ck who they’re targeting. I’ve never been that way.
Would you ever consider doing another rap battle?
Maybe I would. It’s just so time-consuming. That’s the part that is slept on in that culture. It’s so time-consuming and a lot goes into it. And I think the best battles come from when you have a disdain for someone. Fortunately for me, I like all those gentlemen.
Well, Hollow did throw another shot at you. He released a diss record.
Oh yeah, he just be reaching. He’s cold. [laughs]
Speaking of battle rap, I have to ask this because it seemed so weird to me. Daylyt said you offered to pay him to throw his Total Slaughter battle against T-Rex.
Yes, Daylyt did say that.
Is there any truth to that?
No. Let’s not give credence to any of that nonsense. I don’t want to rain on people’s parade because people do these things and it works for them. Daylyt’s my man. Hollow’s my man. I like all these guys, so whatever they gotta do to get it off – go ahead and have a blast. I ain’t hating on anybody’s hustle.
You have a tour, an album, and you’re doing your podcast every week. It seems like you have a lot going on. Mentally, physically, and emotionally – how does Joe Budden manage to do all of these things?
It’s passion. It’s nothing but passion. I’m fortunate and blessed to still love what I do. I’m still grateful for so many things God has afforded me. Nothing more.

(AllHipHop News) Masked rapper/producer MF DOOM helped a record label executive wed in style over Halloween weekend (October 30) by officiating the nuptials in costume.
The hip-hop star was asked to preside over the marriage of former Stones Throw Records manager Eothen Alapatt, also known as Egon, to his fiancee, and the musician didn’t disappoint with his choice of attire.
Photos from the ceremony have since surfaced online, showing DOOM, real name Daniel Dumile, serving as the masked officiant for the outdoor nuptials.
The rest of his look was more traditional as he completed his outfit with a dark suit.
DOOM has been signed to Los Angeles label Stones Throw Records for over a decade. Egon left the firm in 2011.
Now Big Sean is putting his thoughts about G.O.O.D. Music and Cudi into the public sphere via the new track “No More Interviews.”
Sean raps:
So many friends turn to enemies, they frenemies
I don’t know why I act like I’m surprised or it’s offending me
I’m saying, though, I should have learned from Hov and Dame
From Stunna and Wayne, Cudi and Ye
What happened to our family ways, though?
When I put you on that song with Nas, you had told me that you was forever grateful
And that we brothers, so it hurt to hit the internet to find out that me and you don’t f-ck with each other
Over a miscommunication that probably could be fixed with a 5 minute conversation, I’m still praying
For ya, though, I guess I charged it to the game
Kid Cudi is currently in rehab for depression, but the Cleveland-bred rhymer recently tweeted he will be out soon.
Cudi also implied he would have something to say about Drake’s verbal attack.
After Big Sean’s bars on “No More Interviews,” Cudi may feel the need to respond to him as well.
(AllHipHop News) Chance The Rapper will be starring in a new upcoming murder mystery titled Slice.
The film is due for release in 2017 and will be directed by Austin Vesely, who also has directed many videos for Chance, including the visuals for his hit “No Problem.”
In the movie, Chance will play former Chinese delivery driver Dax Lycander.
The film will take place in an alternate universe and the main character in the flick finds himself dropped into the middle of a murder investigation.
Dax’s character will also take some inspiration from The Joker’s character in The Dark Knight.
“He speeds in and out like how the Joker comes in and out of The Dark Knight. That’s the inspiration for how we handled the Dax character,” explained Vesely.
Check out a clip from the upcoming film courtesy of Chance himself below.
(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill denied any involvement in Sean Kingston’s issues with Los Angeles rapper Game, who accused Meek of snitching on him and his people in the latest episode of Taxstone’s “Tax Season” podcast.
Game accused Meek of being a “rat” and talking to cops about a nightclub robbery in June of 2016, when Kingston was relieved of over $300,000 in jewelry.
“I don’t really talk Sean Kingston on the phone, nor do I talk to Sean Kingston,” Meek Mill calmly explained to Taxstone, before revealing that Sean Kingston had falsely involved Meek’s name in another incident.
“It was something with him before, where he said I said something before,” Meek Mill claimed. “A girl who I was cool with in L.A., who used to run with Suge and them back in the day, she was like ‘Yeah Meek, you wanna get me jumped? ‘I said why would I wanna get you jumped….and when I talked to him [Sean Kingston], I had a problem with that. And I don’t even know if he even said I said that.”
Meek Mill accused Game of setting up a “premeditated” beef in order to promote his latest album 1992: Block Wars.
“It [the Sean Kingston’s assault and robbery] happened in June of 2016. I was in LA from June to September,” Meek Mill told Taxstone. “We could have just pulled up and rapped like men. I ain’t have no animosity towards him at that time. Put him in front of me and give you an opportunity to handle me like however you say you wanna handle me. Of course I ain’t letting nobody do nothing to me.
Meek made it clear that he didn’t want to be associated with all of these beefs.
“This s##t don’t even be about nothing. It don’t affect my life, it don’t change my life, it don’t put no money in my pocket,” said Meek.
These days nearly everyone seems to incorporate elements of trap and autotune in their music… then there is a whole ‘nother lane of mumble rappers so clearly a lot of rappers sound a like. Some even get mistaken for each other.
Interestingly enough, Tory Lanez’s recent guest verse on a new Meek Mill track, “Litty” was thought to be Travis Scott.
On the ‘DC4’ track, Meek & Lanez use heavy autotune to brag about their luxury lifestyles. While fans questioned Tory’s sound and style on the track, Lanez replied saying,
“I can’t sound like somebody I wrote for…”
Tory has revealed over the years that he writes often for other artist, so much so that people fail to realize how much writing he does for others. He also revealed in the past that he helped write Travis Scott’s verse on “Brand New Champs.”
Take a listen below. Let us know your thoughts? Does Lanez sound like Scott? Or does Scott sound like Lanez? LOL
(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill addressed his feud with Drake and offered up some insight into the origin of their beef and what drove the Philly rhymer to accuse the Toronto M.C. of using ghostwriters for his rap verses.
In the latest episode of Taxston’s “Tax Season” podcast, Meek, claimed Drake snubbed him when he was released from prison in December of 2014, after serving six months for violating his parole from gun and drug charges in 2008.
According to Meek, he hadn’t heard from Drake for over a year after his release and said that basically, Drake had changed.
“He was on my s##t and I pressed for that verse,” according to Meek referring to his song “R.I.C.O.,” from Meek’s Dreams Worth More Than Money, which would ironically be the track that Meek would accuse Drake of using a ghostwriter to complete.
“He [Drake] was supposed to come to my show [in Philly], they said they aint know about it,” Meek Mill said. “It’ an arena, with 30,000 people in here, this something you aint know about? I had the s##t set up for four months. The day of nobody ain’t come through ain’t call me, so I’m back stage looking like a fraud to everybody I told, cause they on the bill, but I didn’t announce their name…the buzz in the street, they know they was supposed to come, but the way ni##as was handling it to me was just different. If you handle me different with no regard, I don’t really show no regard. It ain’t really no price for me to pay. Unless it’s serious violence, then there’s nothing you can do about it.”
Meek said most of his problems started as soon as he dated Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj, who is label mates with Drake, his biggest rival at the moment.
According to Meek, he was impressed with Drake’s diss record “Back To Back,” but he didn’t think the single was that big of deal.
“I was on tour at this time. When I record, I don’t really record like that. And I always move at my time,” Meek told Taxstone.
Founded in late 2005, La Coka Nostra (ILL BILL, Slaine, Danny Boy & DJ Lethal) was more of a loose collective of artists connected through Danny Boy than an “actual” group.
Having taken time off from rap after the break-up of House of Pain, Danny Boy met Slaine in Boston and the end result of that meeting transpired into Danny brining him out to L.A. to work on some tracks.
Eventually, as they continued the creative process, things began to snowball organically and suddenly former members of House of Pain and ILL BILL joined the studio sessions and La Coka Nostra was born.
While “supergroups” are more commonplace in today’s Hip-Hop landscape, when iconic members of House Of Pain and Non Phixion initially merged they were anything but. It’s been four-years since La Coka Nostra released their sophomore album, Masters Of The Dark Arts.
However, a few things still remain constant; La Coka Nostra will always be as their aptly-titled 2009 debut verified, A Brand You Can Trust, and the group will continue to dazzle their rapid fan-base with sold out shows around the globe with their raucous live performances.
Always known for tackling controversial topic matter, the group’s new album, To Thine Own Self Be True, finds them once again in torch-bearing mode, addressing subjects that most artists shy away from.
“This album was created during a time of unique and individual transformation for each member of the group” ILL Bill stated. “Speaking for myself, it’s been a heavy last couple of years. It’s definitely the most personal record we’ve made under the La Coka banner and while we’re still making music that’s hard as f##k, there’s a maturity to this latest batch of songs that makes it different from a lot of the older stuff. I notice the biggest reactions come from the songs our listeners can personally relate to and we needed to make a record like this right now, not only for the fans, but for ourselves. I got alot off my chest on this one. Making music can be extremely therapeutic and making To Thine Own Self Be True was a rebirth and a re-ignition for me.”
Slaine had a similar take on the projects therapeutic manifestation.
“You don’t put as many years in the game as we have without having ups and downs. We all have gone through struggle and adversity—personally and professionally,” Slaine lamented. “This album was recorded as I walked out of a very dark time toward a place of truth and understanding. Music has been how I feed my family, my plane ticket around the world and a place I’ve built real friendships; but at the very core it’s a tool I use to get through life. This album is a moment in time. It is visceral and real.”
Production is handled by Statik Selektah, Marco Polo, Salam Wreck, ChumZilla guest appearances by Vinnie Paz, Apathy, Q-Unique, Sick Jacken, Skam2 & Rite Hook.
