Martin Shkreli: I’ll Release Secret Wu-Tang Clan Album If Donald Trump Wins The Presidency

(AllHipHop News) Martin Shkreli is offering the world the chance to hear the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album purchased for a reported $2 million.

The controversial pharmaceutical executive announced the Wu’s Once Upon A Time In Shaolin would be released if the American public elects Donald Trump as the next President of the United States.

Shkreli also claimed he has unheard music by rock bands Nirvana and the Beatles that would be released if Trump wins.

“If Trump wins, my entire unreleased music collection, including unheard Nirvana, Beatles, and of course, Wu-Tang, comes out, for free,” posted Shkreli.

At the moment, Trump is behind his main opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, in several swing state polls which makes it hard for the Republican candidate to win 270 electoral college votes.

Many Wu fans were not pleased Shkreli was able to buy Once Upon A Time, because he was being referred to as the “most hated man in America” for raising the price of an anti-HIV drug over 5000%.

Wu-Tang’s RZA responded to the criticism over the purchase.

“He bought it. He can do what he wants,” said RZA. “If the greatest man in the world was the one who wanted to possess it, it would have been his objective. If my enemy came to an auction and said, ‘I want that picture of RZA just to throw darts at it.’ It’s being auctioned. So I could never discriminate who appreciates art.”

In addition, Shkreli later got into a public feud with Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah.

Taxstone Set To Release An Interview That Will “Shake The Internet”?

Taxstone conducted one of the most talked about Hip Hop interviews of 2016.

The Brooklynite broke the Internet with his podcast with Beanie Sigel.

There’s now talk another upcoming episode will be an even bigger moment for the culture.

The rumors were ignited when Mal of The Joe Budden Podcast talked about Tax’s upcoming show.

“His next interview, he gonna shake the internet with that,” said Mal. “This is gonna take his platform to a different level.”

It was never made clear who exactly Tax has lined up, but of course, people had to make some guesses.

Could it be Nas? Meek Mill? Drake? Gucci Mane? Troy Ave?

The main name being thrown around is Jay Z.

Hov hasn’t done an interview for a while, and Tax has been connected to the Roc Nation boss.

Is Meek Mill’s ‘DC4’ Set To Drop On October 28?

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill has been promising his DC4 project for a while.

A lot of observers have been waiting to see what the Philadelphia rhymer brings on his first full body of work since the highly publicized battle with Drake.

There is now a lot of speculation that DC4 will arrive this week.

According to internet sleuths, Meek is returning with new music on Friday, October 28.

An alleged tracklist and cover art are even circulating online.

Meek has not confirmed the project is dropping tomorrow.

However, there have been a few hints revealed over the last 24 hours that DC4 is not far from hitting the net.

Fellow Maybach Music Group member and regular Meek Mill musical partner Tracy T recently tweeted, “DC4 so hard!!!”

MMG associate DJ Sam Sneak posted on Twitter, “Be very very ready. DC4.”

Meek’s official deejay DJ Bran wrote, “The wait is almost over.”

Then there is the fact Meek deactivated then reactivated his Instagram page over the last week which could be a sign he is preparing to release something in the near future.

Also, there have been reports DC4 will be a commercial release and not a free mixtape.

Sevyn Streeter Says The 76ers Blocked Her National Anthem Performance Over ‘We Matter’ Jersey

(AllHipHop News) Apparently, R&B/Pop singer Sevyn Streeter was denied the opportunity to sing the national anthem at a Philadelphia 76ers game because of her attire.

Streeter claimed the team blocked her performance because she was wearing a “We Matter” jersey.

“The organization told me that I could not wear my shirt while singing the national anthem at their game,” the Florida native revealed to the Associated Press. “I was never given any kind of dress code. I was never asked beforehand to show my wardrobe.”

The 76ers have not directly addressed why Streeter was prevented from singing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” but the franchise did release a statement.

“The Philadelphia 76ers organization encourages meaningful actions to drive social change. We use our games to bring people together, to build trust and to strengthen our communities. As we move from symbolic gestures to action, we will continue to leverage our platform to positively impact our community,” read the statement.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sparked nationwide protests and a national conversation after the NFL player refused to stand during the anthem at a preseason game.

Kaepernick was attempting to bring awareness to racial injustice and police brutality.

“I also felt it was important to express the ongoing challenges and ongoing injustice we face as a black community within the United States of America – that’s very important to me,” added Streeter. “Yes, we live in the greatest country in the world, but there are issues that we cannot ignore. This can’t be ignored.”

Well, that is certainly always a possibility, because I don’t even think it is legal to put such dangerous chemicals on a baby’s body!

If she did, she is sicker than previously imagined.

Coolio Dodges Jail Time In LAX Gun Case

(AllHipHop News) 90s west coast rapper Coolio has avoided jail time, as he was recently placed on 3 years probation and ordered to complete 45 days of community service for a September LAX gun case.

As a condition to his sentence the rapper will have the opportunity to have his charge reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays on his best behavior within the next year.

Coolio is forbidden to carry or own a firearm in that time span.

The MC’s current legal woes stem from a September 17 incident at LAX in which TSA discovered a stolen, loaded gun in a bag eventually determined to be his own.

Coolio was previously facing up to three years in state prison for one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

 

Jay-Z Offers Prince’s Estate Big Money For Rights To Unreleased Music

(AllHipHop News) Jay-Z has continued his string of big business moves as the rapper is reported to have offered Prince’s estate $40 million for rights to the legend’s unreleased music.

Page Six reports that Hov met with Prince’s only full blood sister Tyka Nelson along with her husband Maurice Phillips in New York to pursue the deal.

However, before the deal can be closed, Nelson is required to receive a sign-off from all brothers and sisters in addition to the trust that is managing the estate.

Potential investor Jay-Z is also involved in negotiations for streaming rights with talks reported to be fierce and competitive.

Last week music label Warner Bros. announced that we’d be getting new music from Prince November 22 with a Purple Rain deluxe reissue, as well as the compilation Prince4Ever.

Both projects will feature unreleased songs from the legend before his 1996 exit from the label.

Kevin Gates Sentenced To Six Months In Jail For Kicking Female Fan At Concert

(AllHipHop News) Kevin Gates will now be serving 6 months in jail after being found guilty of battery in a Polk County courtroom.

The charges stem from an August 2015 incident in which the rapper viciously kicked a female fan at Rumor’s Nightclub in Lakeland in Florida.

According to WFLA,  in a previous hearing the rapper used the Stand Your Ground defense after admitting to kicking the fan in response to her continually grabbing his pants leg while he was performing.

Hailey, Head of security at Rumor’s Nightclub, testified and stated that there were 20 security guards at the venue that night and that no special requests were made for additional security or barricades between the stage and the crowd.

Kristy Irelan, the victim’s mother has indicated that her daughter had to undergo a CT scan after the kicking incident.

“She told me that she was excited to see him and next thing she knows she was kicked in the chest and she was passed out,” Irelan stated in a previous interview.

Pimp C’s Widow Loses Control Over Estate

(AllHipHop News) Pimp C’s widow will no longer control the legendary rapper’s estate.

Pimp C’s oldest son, Chad Jr., emphatically stated that the the late Hip-Hop star’s affairs were being poorly managed by the widow (his step mother).

Chinara Butler, Pimp C’s widow, previously controlled the estates since the UGK rapper died in December 2007. Pimp didn’t leave a will at the time of his death.

Chad Jr., 23, wanted this mother taken off as the dependent administrator of his estate and stated that she had not given and monies to other beneficiaries to Pimp’s legacy.

Chinara allegedly misused $150,000 in jewelry as well as other assets and was subsequently removed as estate administrator in 2010.
Chad Jr. filed for his stepmother to be removed in the summer, as previously reported on AllHipHop.com.

A new administrator will be appointed on Friday, per a statement from the judge.

The chickens are coming home to roost. This woman, Lisa Johnson, says she is the mother of three of Dr. Dre’s daughter. First thing that pops up is that she had a baby with Dre with she was 15 years old. This suggests strongly that she was 14 when they were having sex. So they put that out there to “slander” Dre at the moment where he is getting slammed left and right for his nefarious past. I think in Dre’s own book, he says she was 16. This interview is interesting, but it certainly has an undertone of vengeance. It looks like they have big issues with Dre that go back to the 80’s. She said, they (Dre and his mom) are not keeping it real. She says she is about to write a book and “tell a story” about Dre. “I got a lotta s**t to say.” UH to the OH.

Pusha T Interviews Democratic VP Nominee Tim Kaine

The G.O.O.D. Music President sat down with Vice Presidential hopeful Tim Kaine on October 15 in Miami, Florida and today (October 26), a conversation between the two hit the Internet.

Pusha sat down with the Virginia Governor, Tim Kaine in the Liberty City section of Miami, to rally young voters for the upcoming elections on November 8.

“We need to think about what important to us, what important to the community. And we need to pick Clinton and Kaine,” Pusha T said. “Recruit our volunteers, knock on every door that we can, let our family and friends know. We [are] trying to make a change.”

Wyclef Jean Talk Trap Beats Vs Rap Beats At Remy Martin’s Producer Series

Remy Martin kicked off the third installment of their Producers Series this past weekend in Los Angeles, CA. The event is a way for upstart producers looking to make a name for themselves to be heard by industry executives and experienced super-producers who have already made their marks in the business. For season three, Remy Martin enlisted platinum recording artist and producer Wyclef Jean to host and give his insight and advice to the artists and producers in attendance.

Out of hundreds of submissions, five producers were chosen to partake in the first round of the beat battle by playing their hottest sounds to a panel of judges, in which the top three were selected to the second round. Two finalists were then selected to participate in the finale’ on December 10 in Los Angeles against the finalists from the San Francisco tournament on November 19. Soulja Boy and King Los were on hand to show their support for the event as both joined Wyclef in entertaining the crowd with freestyles. P### bosses at Vivid Entertainment have released “The Kim Kardashian Superstar Experience,” which allows viewers to live out the infamous footage using the “latest immersive technology” according to the New York Post.

The footage begins with clips from the actual sex tape and then a Kim look-alike brings the video to life as she performs virtual sex acts on viewers and pleasures herself with a sex toy.

Kardashian, who is recovering from an armed robbery ordeal that occurred in Paris earlier this month, sued Vivid bosses in 2007 after they released the original sex tape, titled Kim K Superstar.

She later dropped the lawsuit and settled for a reported $5 million.

Def Jam Co-Founder Rick Rubin Helped Mac Miller Get Sober

(AllHipHop News) Ariana Grande’s boyfriend Mac Miller credits music producer Rick Rubin for helping him get sober last year.

The Blue Slide Park rapper, real name Malcolm McCormick, began struggling with substance abuse issues several years ago and was arrested for possession of marijuana in 2011.

However, after working with the legendary producer last year, the 24-year-old took some of the lessons Rick taught him and applied them to his life.

“(He taught me to) just (be) still, and how important it is to be able to quiet your mind and be honest with yourself,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I also gained a lot of confidence because I played him music I was working on – some weird s**t that never came out – and he was like, ‘I’ve never heard anything like this’. I was so geeked about that.”

And being sober has helped him embrace routine in his life.

“This planet has a certain gravity, man – it rises in the morning, it sets at night, and I never really followed that,” he says. “But now I go to sleep at night and wake up in the day, and that’s been a beautiful balance in my life. Along with not feeling like s##t.”

His sobriety has also affected the way he records music. Miller explains before he would try his hardest to complete a song even if he was having a difficult time with it, but now he is less stringent about his process.

“I’m not forcing anything,” he continues. “I used to never be able to walk away from a song unfinished, so I’d stay up for days at a time working on one song. And my voice is a lot more of an instrument now, and I just sound more awake.”

Previously, the 1997 set – which helped the sub-genre known as Neo-Soul explode into a global phenomenon – was released as a nine-track single LP.

But Motown is now letting loose a full vinyl version of Badu’s project as part of the “Respect The Classics” initiative.

2000’s masterful Mama’s Gun is also for sale in vinyl form.

Both platinum albums are presented as two standard-weight LPs.

Hip-Hop Filmmaker Kevin Epps Avoids Murder Charge After Deadly Shooting Inside Home

(AllHipHop News) San Francisco filmmaker Kevin Epps has dodged a murder charge stemming from the fatal shooting of a man inside of his house yesterday afternoon (October 25) in San Francisco.

Epps was initially arrested on suspicion of murder charges, after being arrested for allegedly shooting a 45-year-old man identified as Marcus Polk.

While police know the two men were associates, it is still unclear as to what a motive may have been for the shooting.

Neighbors told local reporters that Polk had lived in the neighborhood and had been homeless and on drugs over the past decade.

Kevin Epps is best known for his work chronicling the San Francisco Hip-Hop scene in documentaries like “Straight Outta Hunters Point,” “Rap Dreams” and “The Black Rock AKA Black Alcatraz.”

“This is one of the last things I would expect to hear,” San Francisco veteran Mistah F.A.B. told The San Francisco Chronicle. “He’s one of those guys that you idolize. We developed a big brother/little brother relationship. He became my big brother and mentor because of the work he did in the community.”

Epps, 48, has been released from prison according to the district attorney, citing lack of evidence.

The Game’s ‘1992’ Lands At #1 On Several Album Charts

(AllHipHop News) The Game’s latest body of work may not have landed in the top spot on the Billboard 200 like three of his previous projects, but the new collection did make a major mark on several other charts.

1992 debuted at #1 on the Independent Albums Chart, the Rap/Hip Hop Albums chart, and the Rap Albums chart.

Game’s eighth studio LP opened at #2 on Top Album Sales chart behind Kings Of Leon’s Walls.

As far as the Billboard 200, Game arrives at #4 with 32,000 album-equivalent units and 24,000 traditional sales.

“I’m most appreciative to my Real fans who are the ones that have been pushing me through for the past decade,” says the Compton rapper in a statement. “1992 was inspired by my childhood when I was 12 years old coming into my teenage years in a city that was plagued by gang activity and a nation that was racially divided. To understand my life, you have to understand how I survived.”

The Game is set to start the European leg of his “Block Wars Tour” in November.

Is Birdman Still Holding Lil Wayne Back?

It looks like Birdman just won’t play nice as NBA point guard Damian Lillard revealed that he’d have to remove a Lil Wayne verse from the song “Loyal To The Soil” due to a conflict with Wayne’s label, Cash Money.

Lillard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A recently released a new album titled ‘The Letter O’. The project actually features an impressive lineup of features that included Juvenile, Jamie Foxx, and at one point Lil Wayne.

Dame tweeted,

“Despite my agreement with Wayne, his parent label is forcing me to remove him.”

Although we don’t know if the removal of the verse was because of a true business conflict, we are willing to bet it’s just some Birdman pettiness stemming from their ongoing legal battle.

Dang Lillard was actually gaining good traction with his record also. Birdman let it go!

Pete Davidson: I Would Have Killed Myself If It Wasn’t For Kid Cudi (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Kid Cudi has been in the news a lot the last few weeks.

The “Day ‘n’ Nite” rhymer made headlines for a Twitter rant taking aim at Kanye West and Drake for using multiple writers on their songs.

Soon after that situation, Cudi announced he was dealing with depression and suicidal urges, and he checked himself into rehab.

Then on this week, Drake faced significant backlash for “Two Birds, One Stone” song lyrics that appeared to bash Cudi for his battle with mental health issues.

Recently, SNL cast member Pete Davidson stopped by The Breakfast Club, and the stand-up comedian revealed Cudi played a significant part in his adolescence.

“If you’re 25 and under, I truly believe that Kid Cudi saved your life,” said Davidson.

He added, “I would’ve killed myself. Absolutely. One hundred percent. I truly believe if [Cudi’s debut studio album] Man On The Moon didn’t come out, I wouldn’t be here.”

The 22-year-old New Yorker also spoke about communicating with the Ohio rapper since he began his stint in rehabilitation.

“I texted with him, maybe, last Monday and he’s in really good spirits. I think I might go see him next week, ” stated Davidson.
