Michel’le’s Biopic ‘Surviving Compton’ Trailer Shows Dr. Dre Choking Her Out!

Michel’le’s biopic will finally hit TV next month. The singer who rose to fame in the late 1980s Hip Hop world alongside N.W.A., is ready to tell her story in ‘Surviving Compton’: Dre, Suge & Michel’le’, a Lifetime original movie.

The movie will show the singer’s tumultuous life in and out of the limelight, and it will also show her success with N.W.A, as well as her relationships with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight. The movie will also chronicle her life of alcohol and drug use as well.

Although ‘Straight Outta Compton’ failed to show Michel’le’s violent relationship with Dr. Dre, her Lifetime biopic will.

Dr. Dre did eventually apologize for his past violent behavior involving Michel’le, Dee Barnes, and any other women that he hurt.

The trailer for the movie shows Dr. Dre choking Michel’le in the studio and even threatening to kick her a** in front of others.

We aren’t sure how good the film will be given Lifetime’s biopic history, but we do know it’s going to bring back attention to a lot of crazy occurrences during the era.

Surviving Compton premieres Saturday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.

Rapper Ice-T Explains Why He Never Eats Before A Show and Reveals Plans For New Body Count Album

(AllHipHop News) Ice-T was put off eating before performing after a particularly horrific incident involving gumbo.

The 58-year-old musician and actor will be hitting the road later this year with his band Body Count.

While he makes sure he is prepared before taking to the stage, he always performs with an empty stomach, recalling one nasty situation during an interview on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" last night (September 19).

"I don’t eat before shows. I had a bad incident one time, I was at Lollapalooza back in the day and this lady served us gumbo (a fish stew popular in Louisiana) during lunch and I went on stage, in front of like 20,000 people, with full blown diarrhea," he laughed.

"So imagine standing on stage, holding your butt cheeks, and you’re trying to tell people to go crazy like, ‘(strained voice) Oh yeah, alright!’ And when the show was over, one fart would have been disaster. Never again, so I don’t eat right before a show ever!"

Ice-T has become more famous for his recurring role in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” than his music over the past few years.

But he is looking forward to getting back to his roots when Body Count's tour kicks off, and has upped his exercise regime in preparation.

"I mean, you’ve just got to have your cardio up and it’s just like Broadway – once you get past that first night on tour it just falls in place, you know," he smiled. "But the crowd, you get the energy, you just go out there and do what you do." Body Count are also currently working on their upcoming album Bloodlust, for which they have once again joined forces with producer Will Putney.

The chance to team up with Putney again was too good an opportunity to pass up, with Ice-T admitting in a recent interview:

"Will Putney is like a member of the band and has an excellent ear. He’s a great producer because he captures the true essence of our band’s sound. Once we are done writing the song it’s his job to step in and make it sound better. He helps move the record in the right direction."

Young M.A. Weighs In On Game and Meek Beef; LGBT Website Slams Both Rappers

(AllHipHop News) Young M.A. may have the hottest record of the year with her hit single “OOOUUU,” but at the moment, it’s how rappers Game and Meek Mill are using the instrumental that is turning heads.

The Brooklyn bred emcee offered up her opinion on the escalating beef between Game and Meek Mill, over allegations that Game’s crew robbed R&B singer Sean Kingston for $300,000 worth of jewels in June.

Game claims that Meek and his people snitched to police, something Sean Kingston, his lawyer, Meek and even the LAPD have denied.

Still, Meek dropped a scathing diss towards Game over Young M.A.’s#### “”OOOUUU,” while Game just replied in kind with a nasty record for Meek, Sean Kingston and Beanie Sigel too on a remix called “Pest Control.”

“Y’all worried about some petty ass rap beef meanwhile we out here droppin like flies,” Young M.A. posted on her Instagram page today (September 20). “It’s f##ked up how the media and blogs puts so much effort and energy into ‘Rap beef’ and ‘drama’ but not focus on what’s really going on! You could hear about 2 rappers going at it for days.. Weeks.. Months… But you’ll stop hearing about an unarmed black man that just got killed by police in 3 days smh.. This world is f##k up!!”

While the openly gay rapper criticized the media and Hip-Hop fans for hyping up the beef, LGBT website The Advocate took up for the community and slammed Game and Meek for their gay bashing during the feud.

Meek’s diss is laced with gay slurs, while Game has been making fun of Meek on social media, with insults that are offensive to the LGBT community.

“Whether this beef between the two is being led by toxic masculinity, homophobia, a need for attention, or a combination of them all, the disses between the two rappers are laden with overt and covert antigay sentiments and slurs, instead of actually focusing on, you know, music.” wrote The Advocate’s Orie Givens.

Givens’ take is that the back-and-forth between the rappers is bad for the LGBT community.

“As the mess between these two rappers plays out on Instagram, the ones who are most negatively affected by it are LGBT hip-hop fans,” Orie Givens said.

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine Heading To Court In Royalty Dispute Over Beats Electronics

(AllHipHop News) Rap icon Dr. Dre and his Beats Electronics co-founder Jimmy Iovine are heading back to court over a royalties dispute.

Former hedge fund manager Steven Lamar claims he played a key role early on in the firm’s existence by introducing Dre and Iovine to celebrated industrial designer Robert Brunner, who was brought on board to help develop the popular design of their early headphone line, and securing funding from investors.

However, the stars sued Lamar in 2006 amid a contract issue, and accused him and his associates of planning to launch their own Beats audio products without Dre’s involvement.

The two parties subsequently reached a settlement, which granted Lamar a four per cent royalty on the original headphones, but when he tried to claim additional compensation for alternate designs last year, his claim was shut down by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge.

Lamar challenged the decision and took his case to a California appeals court, where an official overturned the ruling, stating the royalty agreement was “ambiguous” enough to revive the dispute with a jury trial.

Dre and music label executive Iovine sold the Beats brand to Apple bosses in 2014, securing a whopping $3 billion for the company.

Gillie Da Kid Believes Someone Has To Die In The Beef With The Game & Meek Mill

According to him, he believes someone has to die at this point.

“Somebody gotta die. If somebody don’t die, that sh*t don’t mean nothing. At this point somebody gotta pull that pistol out and put some action down. If not this sh*t gonna be fake. Fake beef ever.”

The Game Admits To Having Sex With Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian & Blac Chyna

(AllHipHop News) While still in the middle of his public drama with Meek Mill, The Game may have just ignited more controversy.

Game’s song “Sauce” included him rapping that he “f-cked three Kardashians.”

The Compton native appeared on The Wendy Williams Show today, and Wendy asked him about his lyrics claiming he slept with members of the Kardashian clan.

At first, Game refused to acknowledge which of the sisters he had sex with. But the 1992 album creator eventually acknowledged who he has been in bed with.

“Sometimes it gets late at night, and you know… and it just, people… I don’t know,” responded Game when asked if he had sex with Khloé Kardashian.

When the conversation turned to Kim Kardashian, Game said, “Kanye is a really good friend of mine and they got really beautiful kids. I don’t want to disrespect their family.”

Game was quick to answer “no” when questioned about Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner.

He also replied that Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner were “not Kardashians.” So who was the third Kardashian that Game was referring to on “Sauce”?

“It was three. It gets a little tricky. [Blac] Chyna ain’t married yet,” said Game about Rob Kardashian’s fiancee. “It’s all good if it’s facts.”

Cops Dispute The Game’s Claim Meek Mill “Snitched” About Sean Kingston Robbery

(AllHipHop News) Maybe it is the definition of the word “snitching” that is causing confusion in The Game versus Meek Mill situation.

Game has insisted Meek spoke to police about associates of the 1992 LP creator allegedly robbing singer Sean Kingston.

However, TMZ reports law enforcement sources are saying neither Game nor Meek’s names were included any reports about the crime.

In a video, Game also stated that police arrived at his door to discuss the case. Again, police have stated that is not true.

Apparently, Game got connected to the June $300,000 jewelry robbery through Kingston’s mother.

She reportedly wrote on social media that the “92 Bars” rapper was possibly part of the suspected plot because he was at the Penthouse club the night of the incident.

In addition, Game alleged Kingston told him directly that Meek blamed Game for the theft. Both Kingston and Meek have denied that accusation as well.

Kingston and Meek also suggested Game started – what they see as fraudulent assertions – just to promote his upcoming album release.

The Game & Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers Artist Omelly Clash On Social Media

(AllHipHop News) At one time, rappers would battle on wax. Now they are more likely to battle on social media.

The Game’s ongoing feud with Meek Mill did include respective records from the two spitters, but Game is also continuing his takedown of the Dreamchasers crew using Instagram.

The California native turned his targets to Omelly. Game called out Meek’s right-hand man for jumping on the “OOOUUU Remix” diss track.

In a video of Omelly’s highly criticized freestyle on Sway In The Morning, Game wrote in the caption:

This the other n-gga #SqueakMeal went & got to put on the diss at me… You n-ggas can’t be serious… I’m really f-ckin over crying laughing dawg ??? now I’m positive Nicki writing everybody over there raps….

Omelly also took shots at Game on the social network. He posted videos making fun of his rival, but later added a tweet that read:

Fatal Police Shooting Of Oklahoma Man Terrence Crutcher Captured On Video (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Video footage has been released of law enforcement’s September 16 fatal shooting of Tulsa, Oklahoma resident Terrence Crutcher.

Crutcher, 40, was walking with his hands up while backing away from the two officers, the moment before he was shot.

Police indicate that officer Betty Shelby fired the fatal shot, while officer Tyler Turnbough used a stun gun on Crutcher.

Footage of the unsettling incident was captured from the dashcam of one of the police vehicles as well as from a helicopter, although Crutcher’s movements are obscured by the car in the aerial footage.

The New York Times reports that the shooting occurred after an officer stopped to investigate a vehicle in the middle of the road.

The police indicate that Crutcher approached them when they arrived to assist him.

They claim he refused to show his hands and reached into his car, prompting the fatal force from the officials.

Tulsa police chief Chuck Jordan stated at a news conference yesterday (September 19), that Crutcher was unarmed and did not have a weapon in his vehicle.

“This is an issue that is not unique to Tulsa, Oklahoma,” Benjamin L. Crump a lawyer for Crutcher’s family said.

He then continued, “This is an issue that seems to be an epidemic happening all around America. What are we as an American society going to do about it?”

Mayor of Tulsa Dewey F. Bartlett Jr., chimed in on the recent events as well, urging the city to rally behind the family.

“This city will be transparent, this city will not cover up, this city will do exactly what is necessary to make sure that all rights are protected and to make sure that all rights shall be done,” Mr. Bartlett said.

Officer Shelby is currently on paid administrative leave as a result of the incident.

The Tulsa police department has opened a criminal investigation into the shooting and the federal justice department has opened a separate civil rights investigation.

YG Opens F##K Donald Trump Tour With Smashing Of Trump Pinata (TWEETS)

(AllHipHop News) Compton rapper YG opened up his F##k Donald Trump tour in San Diego recently and turned heads at the event after allowing fans to come on stage and pummel a pinata shaped like the presidential candidate.

As reported by Spin, the manhandling of the paper-mached effigy led into YG’s performance of his diss against the controversial business man turned politician, “FDT (F##k Donald Trump).”

The rapper dropped the Nipsey Hussle assisted track back in April. The politically outspoken song criticizes Trump’s intentions of building a Mexican border, anti-Trump violence at the politician’s rallies and much more.

Have a rally out in L.A., we gon’ f*## it up
Home of the Rodney King riot, we don’t give a f###
Black students, ejected from your rally, what?

Pusha T, John Forte Give Concert For Hundreds Of Inmates At Calipatria State Prison

(AllHipHop News) Pusha T gave the first ever live music event at Calipatria State Prison yesterday (September 18).

The performance was a part of Pusha’s #SchoolsNotPrisons, which has already visited four penal institutions with a mission to advocate for more spending on education, health and opportunities for inmates once they are released.

The rapper started his visit with the Warden, followed by a tour of Calipatria State Prison. The male-only correctional facility house 3,841 people in Imperial County, California.

“Putting an end to mass incarceration is important to me. It’s something I’ve watched destroy a generation of my peers” Pusha T explained. “I was able to go to Calipatria and see there was still inspiration and hope in the inmates, that was motivation for me to keep fighting for this cause.”

According to state released by the 2016 #SchoolsNotPrisons movement, California state prisons incarcerate more than 128,000 people at a cost of over $11 billion a year.

Pusha hopes to divert some of that cash into programs that address substance abuse and addiction, while promoting education to reduce the recividism rate.

Revolve Impact and John Forte, who escaped an x year sentence when he was pardoned by George Bush Jr., also performed and inspired the hundreds of inmates who watched the performance.
