Snoop Dogg Screens Film and Gives Fans An Epic Performance

There is no better way to celebrate hip-hop culture than being in the presence of Snoop Dogg. The West Coast rap legend recently hosted a film screening and concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

Presented by Dutch Masters, the show allowed fans to get a glimpse of Snoop’s new film, “CoolAid,” and also witness a special performance at the Mount Kushmore Wellness Retreat tour.

Things kicked off shortly after 5 p.m. with the screening of “CoolAid.”

The film serves as an autobiographical tale that highlights Snoop’s troubled youth and eventual rise to fame.

Following the special screening, Snoop performed at the Mount Kushmore Wellness Retreat that also featured rap legends Cypress Hill, and Wiz Khalifa.

Snoop performed songs from his legendary catalog which included hits such as “Gin & Juice,” “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” “Beautiful” and “What’s My Name.”

Wiz Khalifa also hit the stage and performed hits such as “KK,” “On My Level,” “We Dem Boyz,” and “Black and Yellow.”

Snoop and Wiz Khalifa also shared the stage and interacted with each other like a modern day version of Cheech and Chong. They ended the show with the hippie anthem, “Young, Wild, & Free.”

Concertgoers also got an opportunity to interact with the Dutch Masters models throughout the evening.

$15 Million Lawsuit Against Will Smith and Black-ish Dropped

(AllHipHop News) A lawsuit filed against Will Smith over hit show “Black-ish” has reportedly been dropped.

David Marcus sued the star, Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, and bosses at ABC Studios for $15 million earlier this year, claiming they stole the idea for the show from him.

Marcus alleged he submitted a comedy script, titled “Across The Tracks,” for a contest Smith was running in 2013.

Marcus claimed he never heard back from the actor about the script, and was stunned when he first heard about the premise for “Black-ish,” which appeared to be based on his idea.

According to reports, Marcus was seeking $15 million and an injunction to pull the series, starring Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, off air unless he was given credit as the creator.

Smith hit back at the allegations and was seeking a dismissal.

Last week documents were reportedly filed indicating Marcus had agreed to drop the lawsuit against Smith and the case was closed.

Stormzy Discusses The Treatment Of Grime Artists In The U.K.

(AllHipHop News) With the success of Drake’s More Life playlist, many American fans are being introduced to the British music scene for the first time.

One of the standout acts to emerge from the U.K. bred Grime genre is Michael “Stormzy” Omari.

The award-winning artist spoke with Fader for a cover story, and Stormzy addressed the treatment of Grime artists in his home country.

“I’ve never understood this whole thing of there being this elite force in British music, but on the side is Grime and rap,” said the Gang Signs & Prayer album creator. “There’s at least five or six artists in that elite of American music. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Jay Z will be there.”

He continued, “In this country, it’s not like that. I just question sh-t. I ask, Why can’t I get played on that radio station? ‘Oh, they can only play it in the evening.’ But there’s a clean version, why can’t they do daytime? They might say something about the tempo of the song, or the feel of the song. So when I’m getting in the charts, it’s [so I can] break all the walls down, and say, ‘OK, what are you gonna say now? Why can’t you play me?’”

Stormzy’s Gang Signs & Prayer was released in February to positive reviews.

The independent album became the first Grime project to open at #1 on the U.K. charts, and it set a new British record for the most first-week streams for a chart-topping LP.

Chris Brown’s Lawyers Claim Karrueche Is Stalking Him!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Someone is lying!

I don’t know how this case is going to end up. They say the humorous part about court is the fact that the defense lies, the prosecution lies, the police lie, the witnesses lie, and the judge and or jury is supposed to determine who is telling the truth.

Karrueche’s manager, Jacob York, has recently slammed Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, for claiming that Karrueche’s domestic violence claims are strictly for self-promotion. Geragos quickly clapped back claiming that Karrueche is still on Chris’ d*ck as she’s allegedly been “following” him state-to-state.

York feels that it’s insane to think Karreuche would take legal measures against Breezy just for press.

“Please don’t use Karreuche’s name to distract from your client’s current negative issues. Let’s handle it in court,” said York.

Karrueche doesn’t seem like the type to want to live in the press. She seems like she has always wanted to move on and enjoy life. What sucks is that even is Kae was lying, folks are going to side with her because of Breezy’s violent and turbulent behavior.

Karrueche’s restraining order has still been put off because they’ve been unable to locate Brown and serve him.

I’m sure they’ll catch up to him eventually, but in the meanwhile Brown’s lawyer believes Karrueche is number one on the list of thirsty individuals out to take him down and use his drama to build themselves up.

“They can’t even serve CB with a lawsuit. Maybe they should ask their client to do it when she is following CB around the Country #teambreezy,” said Geragos.

Who knows how this will end.

Tiny Spills It All About Her & T.I.’s Rocky Marriage & Divorce!

(AllHipHop Rumors) With celebrity-turned-reality star couples, you usually can’t tell what’s real and what’s fake anymore, but it looks like as far as T.I., and Tiny go, this marriage has completely ran it’s course.

We’ve often seen issues with their relationship spill out onto social media, and it’s been a lot with T.I.’s rumored side chicks [see Bernice Burgos].

Tiny recently stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to talk about her failing marriage and much more.

Wendy is one to dig deep and stir the pot, so she got a bit of info out of Tiny.

Tiny ended up explaining her reasoning for grinding up on Floyd Mayweather at Mariah Carey’s party.

Wendy told Tiny that she had a problem with Tiny grinding up on Floyd, to which Tiny replied saying,

“Well first of all, it was in LA & I was at somebody else’s party. I was at Mariah’s party. I wasn’t at Floyd’s event. Honestly if he woulda been doing the right thing I wouldn’t have been at Mariah’s party.”

Tiny also expressed that she feels like reality TV put a strain on her marriage. Wendy didn’t waste time getting to Bernice Burgos and whether or not Tiny & T.I. had an open marriage.

“She’s somebody that comes in and is gone. It’s nothing to it. It’s what he does. We don’t have anything now. It’s not an agreement now. We just was married, and we did what we wanted to do.”

Tiny said Bernice had nothing to do with what was going on in their marriage, and that she came in the picture after her and Tip had their issues. Tiny said her only problem with Bernice was the disrespect.

“First of all I stepped to him like don’t she know her place. She’s supposed to be quiet. Every woman that’s not the one knows that you supposed to be quiet period!” said Tiny.

Well damn! Tiny didn’t seem to suggest that there’s any room for reconciliation. Tiny I just want to know does you saying you both did what you wanted to in your marriage confirm those rumored threesomes?

Nicki Minaj Catches Flack For Keeping Westminster Bridge Scenes In “No Frauds”

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj is facing criticism for failing to cut scenes of London’s Westminster Bridge from her new “No Frauds” video following the city’s terror attack last month.

The hip-hop star filmed part of her promo on the bridge on March 19, just three days before a man rammed his car into pedestrians there, and then ran onto the grounds of the Houses of Parliament, where he fatally stabbed an unarmed police officer.

Four people were killed and 50 others were injured in the attack.

Nicki was still in the British capital when the tragedy hit the headlines on March 22 and she was among the first to send her prayers to the victims.

Reports at the time also suggested she would be axing the Westminster Bridge footage in light of the incident, and would be shooting new scenes to fill the gap.

However, when the video was released on Wednesday (April 19), it appeared director Benny Boom had decided not to scrap those sequences, which feature Nicki strutting her stuff across the River Thames and sitting on the wall of Westminster Bridge.

The move drew negative comments from some viewers, who took to social media to make their feelings known.

“@NICKIMINAJ by Westminster Bridge in her new vid… too soon?” wrote one Twitter user, while another posted, “nicki is sitting on the westminster bridge in that video with no shame that an attack had just happened (sic).”

In another tweet, one fan wondered what had prompted the star to change her mind: “I thought Nicki was editing out those shots of Westminster bridge”.

Nicki has yet to respond to the criticism, but as she shared a link to the video online, she told her followers: “Honored to have shot this video in London,” along with a praying hands emoji.

The song, which features Drake and Lil Wayne, was initially released last month in response to a pair of diss tracks from rival rapper Remy Ma.

Is This Why N.W.A Didn’t Record An Ice Cube Diss After “No Vaseline”?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Who doesn’t love a good N.W.A. story?

MC Ren recently sat down with Unique Access Ent. to discuss a number of things including Ice Cube and N.W.A. issues, on to him staying on Ruthless Records after Eazy-E died.

MC Ren explains what it was like to work together, diss each other, and come back to working together as friends.

“When we got back together it’s like really we didn’t even talk about it. It wasn’t like we was in a room like man you said this, and nah but you said that. It was like we just didn’t talk about it. Nobody talked about it. It was like yo let’s get back together and do this. And when we got back together it was like we just went in there and did it; nobody brought up the past. You know it’s like a family argument where everybody throwing stuff, fighting, and then the next day it’s like we all going out to kick it or something, nobody mention the day before,” said MC Ren.

MC Ren also expressed that Ice Cube’s diss, “No Vaseline” was really good. He laughed and joked that Cube got to do a whole record on them, when they only got to do a commercial or something.

“Cube’s was good, I ain’t gon’ lie. His was good. But we never got a chance to do a whole record. See he did a whole record.

We never was like we gonna do a record on him. We was doing ‘Niggaz4Life’ album, Dre came up with the idea to do a commercial, like a skit or whatever, and he did that skit or whatever and that was it,” said MC Ren

Ren explained that they never really planned to do a whole record on him, and that they proved that they could make it as a group without Cube. He did admit that he knew they couldn’t make it when Dr. Dre left though.

Do you think N.W.A should’ve responded with an entire diss track?

Woman Accuses Flo Rida of Skipping Out on Child Support Bill For Child With Special Needs

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Flo Rida is accused of being a deadbeat dad to his infant son, a woman in New York claims.

According to TMZ.com, Flo Rida has a seven-month-old baby boy with a woman named Alexis Adams.

Adams claims she was an intimate relationship with Flo Rida for a little under a month, from December 2015 to mid-January 2016.

A paternity test was taken in December 2016 and confirmed that Flo Rida was 99.99% positive to be the father.

To make matters more difficult, the child was born with water on the brain and needs to have serious medical expenses covered.

Alexis Adams is seeking a yet to be determined amount of child support from Flo Rida.

LISTEN: Mysonne Roasts Troy Ave On “Discipline”

(AllHipHop Rumors) This ain’t a rumor, dun. This is an old school battle. Mysonne has lashed back at Troy Ave over a diss record. However, I personally like this song “Discipline.” I don’t know where they are going with this. Part of me wants some street sh#t to pop off, just because folks need to know its real. But the rational, composed side says that’s not a good deal. Check them out and tell me what you think!

Here is the Troy Ave did of both Mysonne and Joe Budden. I didn’t like it but I am not of the present era. I like rappers with bass in their voice.

This is not a great space for Troy Ave to be in. Mysonne is the streets and Joe Budden is the lyrics. That’s not to take away from “Discipline.” That joint knocks. I guess this is all hype for an album erroneously named after one of the greatest rappers of all time. No losers here.

All The Samples From Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN”

(AllHipHop Music) Kendrick Lamar continues to captivate the nation with his nigh-classic album DAMN. The opus has sparked a great debate that has gone so far as to regard K-Dot as THE greatest rapper of all time. While that debate is raging, Genius has compiled most of the samples that appear on the album. There’s everybody from Rick James to James Brown and Bruno Mars to Ol’ Dirty Bastard, JAY Z and even more obscure references.

Was John Singleton Really Fired From Directing ‘All Eyez On Me’?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Plot twist!

As you know director John Singleton has been talking all kinds of trash about the forthcoming Tupac biopic ‘All Eyez On Me’.

Singleton has previous expressed that he still hasn’t watched the biopic and he refuses to watch it because he already knows that they “f-cked up.”

He says it’s not good because he isn’t the one who directed it. The narrative that Singleton has been trying to tell is that he allegedly stepped away from the biopic because they weren’t doing Tupac’s legacy and story justice.

Singleton told The Breakfast Club,

“They were trying to tell me, ME how to make a movie about Pac. Come on now. Really. So I was like…… No I didn’t back out gracefully. I was like putting them on their backs. I don’t even have to speak on that anymore .Y’all just see when it comes out…..I don’t have to see it. Come on. It aint me, so I don’t have to see it.”

It looks like John Singleton may just be big mad as word on the curb is he was actually FIRED from directing the film.

Young Noble of The Outlawz recently decided to clear the air about the details surrounding this biopic and the bad dealings of the people handling Tupac’s estate. Young Noble claims that Singleton is trying to make it like he stepped away because of integrity when he allegedly got fired for the exact opposite.

“Lets move forward to John Singleton. He doing interviews saying he quit from directing the film because the producers wasn’t telling Pac story with integrity an they sued Afeni when the truth is he got fired from the job. We got the call the day he got fired an honestly i was kinda upset because i thought he was the perfect guy to direct Pac movie until i heard the reason he got fired. John wrote his own script for the movie an in his script he had a scene insinuating 2pac getting raped in jail an he had Afeni as a lesbian an wanted a scene in there with her doing some lesbian activities. So this dude John Singleton was gonna put all kinda lies an made up s### an give y’all some real Hollywood movie so he got fired on the spot an now he out here doing interviews saying he quit like he was doing something out of honor for Pac & Afeni,” said Young Noble.

Xzibit and Lil Duval Smoked Out The W and the Whole Hotel Was Evacuated

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Xzibit and comedian Lil Duval set off the fire alarms at a top Los Angeles hotel after lighting up while promoting their new marijuana comedy.

The stars feature in Snoop Dogg’s new movie “Grow House,”!about two weed smokers who decide to try and cash in on the medical marijuana business, and the film is set for release on today (April 20) to mark stoners’ unofficial 4/20 holiday.

However, a press interview for cannabis culture outlet Civilized.life with Xzibit, Duval, and writer/director DJ Pooh came to an abrupt end on Monday after they decided to enjoy a smoke in a conference room at the W Hotel – violating the venue’s no smoking policy – minutes before Snoop was supposed to arrive.

Smoke detectors were instantly activated, and in video footage of the incident, a hotel official tells the group, “Hey guys, the fire department is on the way. You set off our full alarm in the whole hotel.”

The building had to be evacuated as a safety precaution.

The stars have yet to comment on the incident, although Duval did repost a link to a news story about the mishap on his Twitter page.

Drake Refuses To Prosecute Woman Caught Drinking A Pepsi In His Mansion

(AllHipHop News) Drake has asked authorities to drop their case against a fan who allegedly broke into his home and enjoyed some of his beverages.

Mesha Collins, 24, was discovered inside the rapper’s Hidden Hills mansion in California earlier this month by a member of his entourage.

Collins was reportedly found in one of the bedrooms wearing one of Drake’s hoodies and surrounded by opened water and soda bottles taken from inside his house.

There was no evidence she took anything else or caused any damage.

After a member of Drake’s team called police, Collins was arrested for entering a residence with intent to steal the victim’s personal property and held on bail of $100,000 until a hearing on Wednesday (April 19).

However, it seems Drake is not looking to punish the intruder and wants the case dropped.

According to TMZ.com, the singer’s lawyer has contacted the Los Angeles County District Attorney and stated that the rapper won’t cooperate with the prosecution against her.

The 30-year-old is concerned Collins has mental health issues and feels it would unfair to convict her over the incident when nobody was hurt and very little was taken.

It is unlikely the DA will forge ahead with prosecution without Drake’s support.
