(AllHipHop News) Many fans have been waiting years to see Dave Chappelle return to their screens, especially after his successful stint as the host of Saturday Night Live last November.
The comedy legend is not reviving his popular Chappelle’s Show television series, but he will be presenting two new stand-up specials on Netflix.
As part of the run-up to the presentations airing on the streaming site, Chappelle gave a rare interview with The New York Times.
He commented on the difficulty of lampooning the new President, the death of the music icon that inspired one of his most famous characters, and the public fall of a childhood comedic hero.
On doing jokes about Donald Trump:
He’s so skewed, it’s hard to find an angle that sounds fresh. If you talk about him, it’s almost like you’re part of the chorus and not a soloist.
On the passing on Prince:
It’s a hard thing to talk about. I looked up to him like everybody did. I didn’t know him that well, but the times that we hung out were fun and very memorable and often funny. He was very generous with his advice, and he was very generous with his access. He let me see some of his process. He fostered a community among artists.
On Bill Cosby:
The Bill Cosby thing was tough for me. I’m not saying that to detract from his alleged victims at all. But he was a hero of mine…
So many bad things happened to our heroes: Muhammad Ali had Parkinson’s; Richard Pryor had M.S.; Prince died too young. And Bill just looked like one of the guys who was going to get to the finish line and just die of old age. And this happened. Jesus Christ. It’s awful.
Dave Chappelle’s Deep in the Heart of Texas and The Age of Spin comedy specialsare scheduled to premiere March 21 on Netflix.
(AllHipHop News) Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers was in a Detroit courtroom today (March 20), to face charges she may have been altering her drug tests.
Kim is on probation from an incident in October 2015, in which she downed a 1/5 of Malibu rum, popped some pills and crashed her Cadillac SUV on purpose, in an attempt to commit suicide.
She was later placed on one-year probation and ordered undergo regular drug treatment tests, in addition to using a breathalyzer on a regular basis.
Today in court, a judge ruled that Kim was innocent of making any modifications to her drug tests, even though her probation officers had claimed they came back diluted six different times.
Kim denied that she “overhydrated” on purpose, and a judge agreed that the diluted results could have been coincidental.
However, the judge ordered Kim to continue to use the breathalyzer for the next 90 days.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Whose manz is this?! Someone come get Steve Harvey please!
As if Harvey’s meeting with Trump didn’t upset enough people, it looks like we may have lost him completely to the other side.
I need to know form Steve directly when was America great before, since he seems to be all on team ‘Make America Great Again.’
Harvey took to his morning show to let Snoop Dogg, T.I., Bow Wow, and all of you other folks know that you WILL respect his president. LOL.
“The problem with all this is that there is an office in this country called the president, and you have to respect the office. You really do. Whether you want to or not. You have to respect the office. They got laws. I love Snoop. Bow Wow, always respectful and cordial with one another, me and T.I. I don’t have no problem with T.I. I love the dude. I’m just saying brothers be smart. You gotta be smart man. All y’all talking got money. You got money, man. You got money and they know how to go after that money. Just be smart, let me tell ya man, leave the first lady out of this. Y’all going down another path with these cats now. You start messing with they wives… I’ll tell y’all you going down another path,” said Harvey.
What are your thoughts? Is Steve Harvey on Trump’s payroll? Is he shooting his shot to be a Trump advisor? I don’t recall Steve going this hard for Obama when all of those people were disrespecting him and his family.
On the flip side, does Steve have a point? Is it possible that the government could start making it harder for these rappers regardless of the fact that they are just freely expressing themselves.

(AllHipHop News) “Empire” is setting off the upcoming season by pushing a brand-new track “Get Me Right.”
The show centers around the Lyon’s and their powerful company, Empire Entertainment.
Lucious Lyon, who is played by Terrence Howard, is “the king of hip-hop,” but his company is always targeted by his own family, including his sons and his ex-wife.
While the industry can be glamorous, it can be just as dangerous, particularly in the hip-hop world.
The new season of “Empire,” which airs on Wednesday (March 22) on Fox, comes with some flare, as Cookie plans to overthrow her lover, Angelo, from his high position.
In order to do that, she will need to remain focused.
Also, the tensions are high between Tiana and Hakeem against Nessa to secure their spot on “Empire’s music showcase.”
Andre, who is the Lyon’s older brother, has his own plot of taking over the family dynasty, even if he has to do it by himself.
Each family member is grappling with the events that unfolded during the Season 2 finale.
As we patiently wait for his next project “Paranoia,” Dave East serves up a new EastMix to hold fans over in the meantime. On this installment, the Harlem rapper lyrically flows over Weeknd’s album single “Party Mon$ter.”
(AllHipHop News) Will a Houston native and an Atlanta representative join forces for a new collaborative project?
That’s the impression Texas rapper Travis Scott gave when he tweeted a cryptic message over the weekend.
“[Don’t] worry that huncho x cactus jack coming,” wrote Scott on Twitter.
Quavo retweeted Scott’s tweet to his own 600,000 followers.
In addition, the Migos member retweeted a post from a Travis Scott fan page with a similar message.
The two Southern rap stars – along with Young Thug – have teamed up before on “Pick Up the Phone” off Travis’ Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight andThugger’s Jeffery.
Drake’s new “playlist” More Life also includes the cut “Portland” with Travis Scott and Quavo.
(AllHipHop Rumors) For as long as he lives, I believe Dame Dash will be great entertainment.
It’s always story time when Dame opens his mouth, so check out the anecdote he’s sharing now about Biggie!
In a recent interview with Hip Hop Motivation, Dame Dash revealed a pretty big shocking Hip Hop fun fact when he revealed that the late, great rap legend Notorious B.I.G. had planned on eventually joining him and Jay Z on their Roc-A-Fella record label. Say what?!?
“Biggie’s plan was to give Puff and them like three more albums because that’s what his deal is, then come sign with us, and we was gon’ do The Commission. We were looking for like a Charlie Baltimore, it ended up being her, that wasn’t our choice that was his. But, you know, that was what was gonna happen, or at least that’s what was talked about very seriously. I think that’s why he did a double album. Then he was gonna do a triple album, and he was gonna be out his contract, and then he was gonna come f-ck with us. I tried to sign The Firm but then Steve Stoute snaked us for that,” said Dame.
Biggie and Jay were longtime pals, but does this still seem like a stretch to you? Why is Dame just now revealing this? How do you think being on the Roc would’ve affected Biggie’s career? What are your thoughts?
(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper and his ex-girlfriend have come to an agreement in their ongoing custody battle.
Unlike some other hip-hop dramas that have played out in the public’s eyes, Chance and his ex Kirsten Corley have reached an amicable agreement.
“This case ended quickly because of the unusually high level of cooperation between the parents putting their child’s best interest first,” said Enrico J. Mirabelli, attorney for Kirsten Corley.
The case started in February 2016, when Corley filed documents to confirm that Chance was the father, and to establish child support payments.
The rapper was forced to address the issue, after reports began circulating that he was withholding his wealth, now that he has gained fame as a Grammy Award-winning independent artist.
“Just a friendly reminder: don’t let anybody get between you and your family. Don’t be afraid of what people are saying about you. Do your job and everything will be fine,” the rapper said via Instagram.
Although the financial details of their settlement has been ordered to be kept confidential, Chance himself has revealed a little bit about his income over the past several months.
In addition to acquiring a good portion of his income from his successful merchandising business, Chance said that Apple paid him $500,000 to have the exclusive rights to his album Coloring Book, for two weeks.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Common is teaming up with The National Symphony Orchestra for a performance in Washington, D.C. this week.
The “Glory” hitmaker will join the orchestra at The Kennedy Center on March 22 for a special concert, which will be streamed free on Tidal, Okayplayer, and the Kennedy Center website for two days.
Common will perform orchestrated versions of his songs from his 2016 album, Black America Again, and other records during the show.
His performance will also be part of the JFKC: A Centennial Celebration of John F. Kennedy in honor of what would have been the late U.S. President’s 100th birthday in May.
Common is not the only rapper to host a concert with the orchestra – Nas and Kendrick Lamar have also performed with the musicians in the past.
(AllHipHop News) Kim Kardashian had an eerie premonition “something bad” was going to happen before she even arrived in Paris, France, last year, when she fell victim to armed robbers.
The reality TV star was bound, gagged, and held at gunpoint in October, as armed men stormed her private hotel suite in the French capital and made off with millions of dollars’ worth of jewellery and electronics.
Now details from her official account have been obtained by French newspaper Le Monde, revealing Kim was hesitant about the Paris Fashion Week trip from the very beginning.
“For two weeks before we left, we were already afraid we might be victims of a terrorist attack if we left the country, and not only by going to Paris,” she allegedly told the judge. “When (sister) Kourtney had a passport problem, I thought to myself that something bad was going to happen. I had this foreboding. I want to tell you this because it was such a strong feeling – every night in Paris I said a prayer of thanks that nothing had happened to us.”
Kim K. and Kanye the night before she was robbed in Paris
Gary Madar was among those charged in connection to the robbery, while Michael, who denied any involvement, was allowed to walk free after police questioning.
The mother-of-two then focused on her night of terror on 3 October, admitting her first thought at seeing the first two intruders was that they were terrorists.
“I saw two guys in police uniform come in with the concierge,” she reportedly testified. “They were aggressive…I thought they were terrorists who had come to kidnap me.”
In her statement, Kim, whose bodyguard Pascal Duvier had been out that night looking after her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, also made it clear she had no interest in returning to Paris anytime soon.
“I have a feeling that it’s not the right place for me, I mean Paris,” she said. “It’s not a place for me on the emotional plane.”
The 36-year-old took to Twitter to acknowledge her loved ones for all of their support during the trying time.
I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons &feel so blessed to be safe home w my babies & husband
“I have always shared so much and I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life-changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons and feel so blessed to be safe home w (with) my babies and husband.
“To my friends, family, and loved ones I can’t thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most,” she added. “To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work.”
(AllHipHop Editorial) I hope people are paying attention to whats been going on with NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the ostracizing that is happening to him via NFL owners. We are bearing witness to owners going all out to send a message that they hope will resonate not just with fellow NFL owners but to other CEOs who oversee increasing woken people who are standing up and speaking out.
It seems like not a day has gone by that we have not read or heard a news story about some owner stating publicly how disgusted they were with Kaepernick for sitting down or taking a knee during the National Anthem.
It’s important to juxtapose that expressed anger by NFL owners and executives who are either silent or perfectly willing to be forgiving and extend a helping hand to players accused of domestic violence, sexual assault, drug usage, overt racism and alcoholism to name a few.
Whats going on here cuts deeper. Its not about Kap taking a knee, its about Kap moving the crowd and inspiring so many others to take a knee and take a stance against injustice.
It’s about Kap setting a bar for athletes today to be more political and use their fame and resources to help uplift. Even more troublesome for owners is that Kap has been doing a lot of stuff like getting a plane to send supplies to Somalia to doing Know Your Right workshops all over the country to giving 50k to help out the folks in Standing Rock. Those are the things that we know about that made it into the news. Kap has done lots more where he’s been very clear about staying off the radar. It may range from him showing up at schools to him privately helping folks out financially and personally.
What more can we ask for? Perfection and 100% political alignment to our personal agendas? Some are angry because Kap didn’t vote. Others are mad because they feel like he should still be taking a knee. Others are mad because they feel he should be more radical or give voice to their particular cause. Others are mad because they feel he’s gone too far. That’s the nature of politics and par for the course when you are visible and speak out. Folks will be mad because you ain’t on the same page as them. But it becomes disturbing when the goal is to flex and shut down political thought.
What the NFL and other CEOs don’t want is political mutiny. They don’t want football players speaking out and possibly changing the political tide, so all the stops are being pulled to end a clear message, you speak out too much you run the risk of getting ousted like Kaepernick.
The message is clear, you speak out and run the risk of losing endorsements. You run the risk of being threatened by police unions. and you run the risk of watching thirsty, opportunistic people ranging from former player turned analyst Boomer Esiason to lapdog writer Jason Whitlock coming after him with guns blazing.
Thus far Kap seems to have been able to endure the storm, but what about everyone else? And that’s whats at stake. Shut down Kap and perhaps you shut down high school and college athletes from speaking out who may not be built to take the ensuing pressure.
Shut down Kap and you embolden owners and coaches to take hard line stances about protesting, similar to the one we recently saw with the U.S. Soccer Federation which bans any sort of protest during games. What we are essentially talking about is owners being a front line force in maintaining white supremacy by policing and attempting to control the movements and political expressions of Black and Brown people..
The challenge before us is what role do we play as the public?? Do we boycott sports? After all many of us demanded athletes and entertainers speak out and being more involved.. We pushed them to take a stand. So what do we do when the institutions they are apart of smash back? Do we shrug our shoulders, say to ourselves they have a few million in the bank hence they’ll be alright and keep it moving? Do we step to the institutions who are trying to shut down the politics? Do we boycott? Sounds good but that’s very unlikely to happen..
Do we take time to reflect not just on whats happening with Kaepernick, but what might be happening to local organizers who may not have the platform and financial resources of a Kaepernick but are running into similar fates?
Some local organizers find themselves under the gun in a number of arenas from personal to financial when they speak out. Sadly far too many of us either ignore them, take for granted their activities or in some cases undermine their work sometimes unknowingly or intentionally in an attempt to curry favor.
We should all be aware whether we are teachers in a classroom, 95 workers inside a big corporation or athletes on the field, fast and hard lines in the sand are being drawn and the name of the game is make those who speak up pay dearly. It may come in the form of rules being drawn up to ban political activity, or it may mean some being asked to sign a contract that lays out ‘codes of conduct’ which includes no protests. It may show up with those in power keeping tabs and making a list of outspoken folks who should be barred from their profession.
Hopefully, we don’t allow the weight and consequences to fall on the shoulders of a few and we all step up and speak out loudly, clearly and with deep love for our people and unshakeable knowledge. What is happening to Kaepernick is a microcosm to whats been happening to local organizers and freedom fighters and now the heat is being turned up.We can’t return to the days where folks are comfortable and expect athletes and entertainers to simply shut up and play, sing or dance.
(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop mogul Bryan “Birdman” Williams has brushed off Rick Ross’ lyrical attack on his new song “Idols Become Rivals.”
On the track, which is featured on Ross’ new album, Rather You Than Me, the heavyweight star accuses Birdman of stealing royalties from artists on his Cash Money Records label, using Lil Wayne’s ongoing legal struggle as a prime example and suggesting Williams also treated DJ Khaled badly.
The song stirred controversy when it hit streaming services last week, but Birdman, aka Baby, is paying no attention to the drama.
“I don’t get caught up in hoe s##t, man. I just keep doing what I’m doing and keep pushing,” he told Billboard.com. “I don’t get caught up in that, I don’t play like that. I’m a man and I stand my ground and I do my thing. Numbers (sales figures and finances) don’t lie, and that’s all I give a f##k about: numbers, and puttin’ them up.”
Wayne has been locked in a court battle with Birdman since early 2015, when he filed a $51 million lawsuit against his longtime label boss, accusing his former mentor of withholding money he was allegedly owed for his highly-anticipated album, Tha Carter V.
(AllHipHop Features) Learning how hard Angela Yee has worked to navigate her way through the entertainment industry is nothing short of inspiring. As one of three on the dynamic nationally syndicated radio show, “The Breakfast Club,” she owns her expertise, integrity, and womanhood within the industry.
Angela spent the majority of her free time as a child writing short, fictional stories and reading every novel she could get her hands on. When Angela graduated from Poly Prep in Brooklyn, she headed to Wesleyan University, where she graduated with a BA in English. After college, she utilized the relationships she secured through various internships at MTV, TVT Records, and Wu-Tang Management to obtain employment as an assistant to the CEO of Wu-Tang Corporation. Angela gained valuable experience dealing with multiple labels, artists, lawyers, accountants, and organizing special events.
Angela realized she had a knack for marketing, and spent the next five years working with internet startups, Nile Rodgers’ record distribution label, clothing brands, and launching Eminem’s clothing line Shady Limited. Yee decided her ideal position would be merging her love of marketing with her love of music, and that was when her industry relationships and stellar work reputation placed her in a position to get hired at Sirius Satellite Radio. While looking for job opportunities online, she saw the company was hiring in their marketing department and immediately called Paul Rosenberg, the head of Shady Records. She knew they were launching Shade 45 at Sirius and he would be able to at least get her an interview.
Never the type of person to wait for an opportunity, she soon pitched her own weekly nighttime show called “Lip Service,” which became an instant success. The show was the only female-hosted program on Shade 45 and allowed guests to engage in intimate conversations that were a refreshing contrast from the typical interviews with a promotional agenda. Soon enough, Angela took over the morning show as the main host and created “The Morning After with Angela Yee.”
Angela Yee
Angela continued to grind tirelessly at Shade 45, providing a platform for unsigned artists with her segment “Don’t Quit Your Day Job,” where artists like Drake, Machine Gun Kelly, and Big Krit were showcased before signing to major labels. She conducted standout interviews with Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Chris Rock, Birdman, 50 Cent, TI, and Wiz Khalifa among many others. Her talent and work ethic did not go unnoticed, and she was the only Sirius XM personality mentioned in the 2009 “The Source” Power 30 issue. Several radio stations in different markets began contacting Angela Yee and she soon decided to take a risk and leave her home of six years at Shade 45 for the station that was the underdog in radio’s number one market: New York City’s Power 105.1.
The Breakfast Club was formed in December 2010 with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne and for the past three years the show has been the number one radio program in “The Source” Power 30 issue, and in 2014 the New York State Broadcasters Association awarded “The Breakfast Club” with the 2014 OUTSTANDING ON-AIR BROADCAST PERSONALITY OR TEAM award. Currently, the show is syndicated in over 30 markets weekday mornings and over 70 markets on the weekend where listeners can hear Angela Yee’s Rumor Report, her advice segment “Ask Yee,” and current events with “Front Page News.”
Angela also continues to expand her brand with her popular podcast “Angela Yee’s Lip Service” and freelance writing with Vibe Magazine, YRB Magazine, and her own website www.teamyee.tv. She has received a WEEN Mission Award, the “Shirley Chisholm Woman of Distinction” Award and donates her time and efforts to speaking at schools and on educational panels, working with Coats for Kids, Dress for Success, Makeover Your MS, Children Making Strides Against Pediatric Cancer, The Bowery Mission, and various other charitable organizations.
From her humble beginnings booking studio time and running payroll for Wu-Tang Management, to working with Eminem at Shady Limited, she’s packed her resume’ with targeted experiences that made her extremely marketable, with hosting successful radio shows, managing clients such as GZA and Jay Electronica and cultivating a voice in the music and Hip-Hop industry.
Angela took some time to connect with AllHipHop to discuss her journey, the importance of having a backup plan and the life of being a woman in radio and in the hip-hop and entertainment world:
AllHipHop: How would you describe being a woman in the hip-hop industry? Angela Yee: I mean, as a woman, when people walk the room, they will give everyone a pound but not say anything to you. They won’t automatically think you’re an executive in the first impression. That’s typically how it is but you maintain yourself, build great relationships and hustle.
AllHipHop: In situations like that, what keeps you from giving up? Angela Yee: I’ve never felt like giving up and have always had a strong foundation. But what kept me mostly from giving up was that I knew I always had a backup plan. With that, you can do anything and to have that security was key.
AllHipHop: That’s real, because not only do you work in radio, you’ve done marketing, writing, distribution right? Angela Yee: Yes, and you get put in different situations that can be opportunities and if you get your foot in the door, you got to bust the door wide open.
AllHipHop: How do you find balance in work, personal life, health, etc.? Angela Yee: You have to find a way to find that balance. I always put work before everything, but I had to learn to find that time to be balanced.
AllHipHop: As women, we sometimes deal with certain scrutiny if we have children, or are married or serious relationships, but still living within the industry. How can we combat that stigma? Angela Yee: I think the biggest thing to remember especially being a woman in the industry is that you have to be with someone that understands what you do, and RESPECTS what you do. Both parties need to feel comfortable and not worrying about what others think about it. If you’re happy, be happy.
AllHipHop: Women that have inspired you on your journey? Angela Yee: Well definitely Angie Martinez. When I first met her I was so excited. Now she works with me. I think she realizes how important she is to me. She is very humble which is refreshing in this industry because people get so jaded sometimes. Next would be my best friend Santi Gold, she lived across the hall from me in college. She was always the one to decide on something and then do it and I would be the one to just sit and think about it. She definitely inspires me. And last I would say Yara Shahidi as another woman because she’s, young and very aware of what’s going on in the world around her. She’s brave enough to express herself in ways that may cause people to attack her at times but she’s still outspoken.
AllHipHop: Where do you find inspiration? Angela Yee: I find inspiration every day. I think every day you should be inspired by something.
AllHipHop: Any last thoughts you have to share with the wonderful women reading? Angela Yee: Yes, I just want to share that we really need to be able to help each other and understand we are not each other’s competition. Sometimes it may not even be us, but other people put us against each other and we get caught up in negative things. It’s a nice feeling not to be negative, focus on the positive and inspire each other. Understand that sometimes you have to say “NO.” Be aware of yourself, and prioritize. You got to sleep!
The question of whether the Philadelphia representative signed back with Hov began circulating.
It turns out the Roc-A-Fella Records affiliates have in fact reunited for a new deal.
Billboard spoke with Freeway, and he discussed his new partnership with Roc Nation.
“I mean, of course it’s something that I always wanted to do,” said Freeway when asked if he thought he and Jay would ever work together again. “I just was doing my own thing and trying to work as hard as I can on my own. If the opportunity presented itself for me to make it happen, I always knew that I would try.”
According to Free, they connected at Jay’s Tidal B-Sides concert in 2015, and then a conversation about inking a deal with Jay’s label began backstage at a recent Beyoncé concert.
The “What We Do” spitter was involved in an independent deal at the time of the B-Sides show, so he had to wait before he could officially join Roc Nation.
“When that was over, I had to wait three months before I could do anything. It was all perfect timing. By the grace of God, it happened one after the other. As soon as my thing was up, I ran into Jay, told him I was ready and he was like, ‘Let’s get it done!'” recalled Freeway.
The Billboard interview also included Freeway discussing his health, the upcoming Kidney Walk in Baltimore, campaigning for Hillary Clinton, and taking the independent artist route.
“The situation I’ve got at Roc Nation is we’ve got a joint venture with my company, New Roth Childs,” Freeway stated. “Me and my man Scholito started this company together like two, two-and-a-half years ago. We’ve just been doing our thing on the independent tip.”
(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross dropped his ninth studio album last Friday, and industry insiders began crunching the first-week sales numbers for Rather You Than Me.
According to HitsDailyDouble, Rozay’s new project is expected to move between 85,000 – 95,000 equivalent album units with 40,000 – 50,000 pure album sales.
Ross’ previous body of work, Black Market, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 with 65,000 sales plus streaming units and 54,000 pure sales units.
Rather You Than Me is expected to land near the top of the album chart, but Drake’s latest LP More Life arrived a day after the Maybach Music Group leader’s new effort.
The sales predictions for More Life have not been announced as of press time.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Drake has been drunk texting Jennifer Lopez since the stars reportedly called it quits on their brief romance.
The “Hotline Bling” hitmaker made the confession on “Free Smoke,” the opening track on his new project More Life, which hit streaming services on Saturday (March 18).
After giving his rumored ex a shout out, Drake admits his text messages are never actually received by Jennifer because she has since changed her cell phone number.
“I drunk text J.Lo/Old number, so it bounce back,” he spits on the tune.
Drake and Lopez were first romantically linked in December, when the Canadian artist attended two of the superstar’s residency gigs in Las Vegas and hosted an intimate party she attended.
He then reportedly surprised the 47-year-old beauty with a $100,000 diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co., which Jennifer showed off in an Instagram photo from her New Year’s Eve celebrations.
They have been coy about the nature of their relationship, which is said to have cooled off in early February, but Jennifer subsequently claimed they had simply been working together.
“We made a song together and we hung out,” she explained on the Grammy Awards red carpet last month. “We had a great time. He’s amazing; I have so much love for that boy.”
They had teased fans about the collaboration in an Instagram video of the pair dancing together in December, when a snippet of the track, titled “Get It Together,” could be heard in the background.
However, it appears the tune has since been reworked, as J.Lo’s vocals have been replaced on the More Life release by up-and-coming British singer Jorja Smith.
And that’s not the only Lopez connection to More Life – Drake, 30, also samples her debut single, “If You Had My Love,” on “Teenage Fever,” again with another female artist singing the chorus to the 1999 hit.
Jennifer has yet to comment on Drake’s multiple references in his new material.
She has since moved on and is now dating former New York Yankees baseball ace Alex Rodriguez.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Uh oh! Word on the curb is that Young Thug had to cut ties with his manager Manny Halley.
Apparently Manny has been ordered to cut all ties with Thugger after it was proven that he’d intentionally wrote a series of bad checks. He also allegedly forged the signature of an employee of Thug’s business manager, David Weise.
Oh my! Halley allegedly used Weise’s signature to sign a contract as well as attempted to run up thousands of dollars in charges on the employee’s personal credit card.
Weise, is pretty livid that Halley put David Weise and Associates, it’s employees, and Young Thug’s financial security in jeopardy.
Weise isn’t playing with Halley and has reportedly scheduled an appointment with the LAPD today to ensure that Halley be charged and rightfully punished. Click HERE to see Weise’s letter to Halley obtained by TheShadeRoom.
