Donald Trump Rages Over Kamala Harris’ DNC Speech In Explosive Rant

Donald Trump was incensed by Kamala Harris’ DNC address, launching a fierce tirade, attacking and insulting the Vice President as she formally accepted the Democratic party’s nomination on the final night of the convention.

On Thursday night (August 22), as Harris delivered a forceful speech, warning of the ramifications of another term under Donald Trump, her political rival was losing it on his Truth Social platform.

“Consider not only the chaos and calamity when he was in office, but also the gravity of what has happened since he lost,” Harris urged Chicago delegates. “Trump tried to throw away your votes. When he failed, he sent an armed mob to the United States Capitol, where they assaulted law enforcement.”

Donald Trump Lashes Out At Kamala Harris

Calling the Vice President “Comrade Kamala Harris,” Donald Trump provided a running commentary of what he referred to as “her ‘puff piece.’”

“The Chaos and Calamity is allowing our Country to be infiltrated by Millions of Criminals!” he replied in one of the first of dozens of posts. “PEACEFULLY AND PATRIOTICALLY!”

Harris continued referencing his criminal convictions. “For an entirely different set of crimes, he was found guilty of fraud by a jury of everyday Americans,” she stated. “And separately, found liable for committing sexual abuse.”

Trump fired back, writing, “These Prosecutions were all started by her and Biden against their Political Opponent, ME!”

Meanwhile, back at the convention, Harris addressed concerns over the controversial far-right policy proposal Project 2025. She branded it a blueprint for “what a second Trump term would look like,” adding it would “pull our country back to the past.”

Harris said the policy was “written by his closest advisors,” but Trump denied it.

He accused Harris of “LYING AGAIN ABOUT PROJECT 2025…THAT I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH!”

When Harris claimed “Donald Trump hand-picked members of the Supreme Court to take away reproductive freedom,” blaming him for the overturn of Roe v. Wade, Trump pushed back.

“Everybody, Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, and Conservatives, wanted Roe v. Wade TERMINATED, and brought back to the States,” he insisted. “I do not limit access to birth control or I.V.F. – THAT IS A LIE, these are all false stories that she’s making up, that I’ve never even heard of. It’s just words coming out of her mouth.”

Truth Social/Donald Trump

After calling Harris a “radical Marxist,” he claimed she “caused the Attack of October 7th.” He also declared, “There will be no future under Comrade Kamala Harris, because she will take us into a Nuclear World War III!”

Trump promised to continue his rant on Fox News to “discuss Marxism in America!” He called into the live broadcast to protest about Harris’ speech, but the hosts had to cut him off.

EXCLUSIVE: Outkast Sues EDM Duo Over “ATLiens” Trademark

High Schoolers LLC—the trademark holding company of Outkast’s André 3000 and Big Boi—have filed a lawsuit against ATLiens Touring, Inc. for improper, willful, unauthorized and illegal use and registration of the ATLIENS mark.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, “the defendant has and continues to sell tickets to concerts and give live performances in this state and District, with its next show being at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theater in Atlanta, Georgia on February 15, 2025. Defendant also advertises, offers for sale and sells products to consumers in this state and in this District though its interactive website, including merchandise bearing the ATLIENS mark.”

The lawsuit goes on to explain “the word ATLIENS was invented by Outkast. Before Outkast created it, it was not used in the cultural lexicon and did not exist.” It also outlines the success of ATLiens (1996), Outkast’s sophomore album, and subsequent works that employs the “ATLiens” name.

“In addition to the studio album ATLiens and the song ‘ATLiens,’ Plaintiff has used the ATLIENS mark as the title of a number of other distinct musical recordings,” the docs continue. “By way of example, but not necessarily limitation: (i) an album version of the ‘ATLiens’ song was featured on the ‘ATLiens/Wheelz of Steel’ CD Single; (ii) both an album version and an instrumental version of the ‘ATLiens’ song was featured on a M### Single.

“(iii) three remixes, a ‘Bad Boy Remix,’ a ‘Bad Boy Instrumental’ and a ‘Bad Boy Alternative Mix’ of the ‘ATLiens’ song were featured on a Remix CD single; (iv) a clean version, album version, album instrumental and album acapella version of the ‘ATLiens’ song were featured on a 12′ Vinyl Single; and (v) ‘ATLiens’ was used on promo albums distributed by LaFace Records.”

Elsewhere in the 38-page doc, it explains, “Plaintiff is also the owner of all right, title and interest in and to the following United States Trademark and Service Mark Applications for its mark ATLIENS, which are presently valid and subsisting in law.”

It continues, “Many years after Plaintiff commenced use of the ATLIENS mark as a trademark and service mark, many years after Plaintiff acquired common law rights in the ATLIENS mark, many years after Plaintiff commenced use of its ATLIENS mark in a manner analogous to trademark or service mark use, and many years after the ATLIENS mark became famous and inextricably associated with OUTKAST, Defendant formed an electronic dance music (“EDM”) duo in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Upon information and belief, Defendant selected the name ATLIENS for their EDM duo to trade upon the tremendous fame and goodwill associated with Plaintiff’s ATLIENS album, song, and mark, or, at a minimum, to call to consumers’ minds Plaintiff’s famous ATLIENS album, song, and mark.”

Outkast and their legal team, Barnes & Thornburg LLC, want the EDM duo to be “permanently enjoined and restrained from, directly or indirectly” using the name in any way. They also want the U.S. Service Mark Registration No. 6,136,315 to be cancelled and to collect compensatory, incidental and consequential damages.

Other demands include: “That the Defendant be required to account for and pay to Plaintiff all gains, profits, and advantages derived by it from the unlawful activities alleged herein” and “That the Defendant be required to pay enhanced, trebled, and/or punitive damages because of the willful and unlawful acts as alleged herein.”

They’re asking for their legal fees to be paid for, as well, and that the EDM duo be required to remove any and all online use of the ATLIENS mark, including via any of its websites, social media accounts or otherwise.

Rick Ross Follows In Kanye West’s Quest To Expose Ousted Music Industry Executives

Rick Ross is following suit with the same sort of questions Kanye West was recently raising about the high-profile departures of music industry executives.

The rapper-turned-mogul is attempting to expose the music industry with his latest Instagram story, where he candidly addressed the recent wave of high-level executive firings at major record labels. In a series of posts, the “Hustlin'” artist questioned the impact of these shakeups on both seasoned veterans and the industry at large.

“As an artist, but also as a businessman, there’s been a lot of shakeups at the top of the industry,” Ross began. “And I would like to know the ramifications.” As he continued, Ross mentioned notable industry titans like Craig Kallman, Julie Greenwald and Shari Bryant, who have recently exited their powerful positions with Atlantic Records and Roc Nation, respectively.

“Let’s have a few discussions,” he urged, clearly concerned about the effects these changes will have on artists and the overall business landscape.

Ross continued, emphasizing the importance of understanding the motives behind these firings. In doing so, Ice Spice may have caught a stray bullet from Rozay after he made a pointed reference to the “Munch” rapper’s meteoric rise.

“When you see the titans in the industry being replaced, is it a good thing,” he questioned rhetorically. “Is it a bad thing? How do you take it? Did they no longer have their finger on the pulse to find the next Ice Spice?”

In a striking metaphor, Ross compared the music industry’s current state to the brutal power struggles depicted in the popular TV series Game of Thrones.

“The kings and queens are being beheaded,” he declared, emphasizing the cutthroat nature of the business. Ross concluded with a sobering reminder: “The game ain’t based on sympathy, so if the higher-ups could find someone better to do it for cheaper, your f###ing head will roll next.”

Ross’s bold statements arrive amid a rash of major label executives announcing their exits, including Bryant who recently left her post as the co-president of Roc Nation.

Additionally, Kanye West shared a message on his Instagram Story earlier this month featuring a text message thread in which he was informed former Atlantic Records Chairman/CEO Julie Greenwald was fired from her post. In addition to breaking the news to Ye, the text revealed that the incoming executive at Atlantic is allegedly demanding 40 percent of all revenue from both of his Vultures albums or else they will be pulled from streaming platforms.

Check out what Rozay had to say below.

Beyoncé Protects “Freedom,” With Warning To Donald Trump

Beyoncé has issued a legal warning to the Trump campaign, demanding they cease using her song “Freedom” in political materials.

The clash arose after the former president’s team featured the 2016 anthem in a video that circulated online, showing Donald Trump exiting an aircraft and arriving in Michigan.

Though the post has since been removed, the incident prompted the “Crazy in Love” singer to take action.

Reports indicate that the song “Freedom” has also been prominently featured in Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign activities, with Beyoncé’s explicit permission.

Despite not officially endorsing Harris, Beyoncé has cleared her schedule to attend a fundraiser supporting Harris.

The move followed concerns raised by Beyoncé’s inner circle about Trump’s “Project 2025” plans.

This isn’t the first instance of Trump’s team using music without authorization.

Earlier this month, they faced criticism from Céline Dion after her hit song “My Heart Will Go On” was played at a rally in Montana.

Dion’s representatives released a statement emphatically stating, “In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.”

Trump is also being sued by the estate of Isaac Hayes for using Sam & Dave’s classic song “Hold On I’m Coming,” which he co-wrote, at campaign rallies without permission.

DJ Mustard Shuts Down Possibility Of Drake Collaboration

DJ Mustard has no interest in working with Drake after producing Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.” The West Coast producer affirmed his anti-Drake stance in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

“I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude,” Mustard said. “He’s a strange guy.”

Mustard clashed with Drake’s fans following the release of the producer’s Faith of a Mustard Seed album. Drake supporters mocked the project’s disappointing sales, which led to Mustard lashing out on X (formerly known as Twitter). Mustard called Drake the “Malcolm X of white people” in one post.

“These guys don’t go to sleep,” Mustard said of Drake’s fans. “All they do is tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet. That’s where ‘the Nation of drizzlam’ came from. I said it in a joking manner, but I guess on Twitter it looked like I was mad. Drake should use that phrase. I won’t charge him for it.”

Mustard’s album may not have sold well, but he scored a No. 1 hit with “Not Like Us.” Lamar’s song was the winning blow in his much-discussed battle against Drake.

Lamar wasn’t the only rapper beefing with Drake this year Future, Rick Ross and A$AP Rocky also dissed Drake in the first half of 2024. Rocky briefly addressed his issues with Drake in a conversation with Billboard.

“You got to realize, certain n##### was throwing shots for years,” Rocky said. “I ain’t in the middle of that s###. That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some p#### boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. N##### getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N##### sniping n##### every day. That little kitty s### ain’t about nothing.”

Drake previously dated Rihanna, Rocky’s girlfriend and the mother of his two children. Drake dissed the couple in 2023.

Kanye West Wanted To Change His Name To Nazi Symbol Nick Fuentes Claims

White supremacist Nick Fuentes claimed Kanye West pitched an offensive name change during their political alliance. Fuentes recalled Ye supposedly wanting to change his name to the s#######, the symbol now associated with Nazis, during an August 21 livestream on Rumble.

“He told me he wanted to change his name to a s#######,” Fuentes said. “Not making this up. So, for anybody that says I made him a Nazi, that’s not true. He called me up out of the blue one afternoon and he’s like, ‘So what if I changed my name to a s#######?’ And he starts laughing and I start dying. I’m like, that’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. He’s like, ‘Right, right.’ He goes, ‘Because then when they say my name, they’ll have to put a s####### on the [chyron] on TV.’”

Fuentes continued, “I’m like, ‘Wouldn’t they just put the letters though?’ He goes, ‘No, no, no.’ He goes, ‘No, I’m not changing my name to the word.’ He corrected me. He said his name wouldn’t be spelled ‘S.W.A.’ He said no, his name would be spelled s#######. It would be the symbol … And he was serious. I was laughing my ass off. I was like, ‘Well, why don’t we think about that?’ I’m like, ‘That’s kind of a big decision.’ I’m like, ‘Maybe we should hold off on that one.’ But that is no joke … And that was one of the many ideas that he shelved.”

According to Fuentes, West envisioned the name change as an “ironic reappropriation” of the symbol. Fuentes said the conversation occurred in December 2022.

“I don’t know if he’d appreciate me telling that story,” he admitted.

West aligned with Fuentes, a Holocaust denier, amid the controversial rapper’s onslaught of antisemitism in 2022. Ye brought Fuentes to an infamous dinner with former President Donald Trump in November 2022.

Fuentes was part of West’s second presidential campaign, which quietly ended in 2023. Ye cut ties with Fuentes in favor of rehiring Milo Yiannopoulos, another far-right figure, before the campaign’s demise.

SIGNS: Ex-Pentagon Insider Claims Government Is Hiding Info About UFOs

A government cover-up may be afoot, according to an insider’s claims that the Pentagon is hiding the truth about UFOs and Non-Human remains.

In a shocking revelation that could shake the foundations of trust between the American people and their government, former Defense Department insider Luis Elizondo claims that the U.S. government has been systematically hiding critical information about UFOs and their mysterious occupants. According to Elizondo, who has spent decades at the heart of the Pentagon’s efforts to understand these enigmatic visitors, the Defense Department has been deliberately obstructing attempts to uncover the truth.

In his explosive new book, Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs, Elizondo provides damning evidence that the Defense Department knows far more about UFOs than it has ever revealed. He alleges that higher-ups within the Department routinely blocked his team’s efforts to investigate these visitors, not because they didn’t care, but because they feared what they might find. “The defense establishment doesn’t want to present a problem it neither can explain nor offer a solution,” Elizondo writes, suggesting that the government’s reluctance to come clean may stem from a deep-seated fear of the unknown.

But the truth may be even more sinister. Elizondo warns that these visitors possess capabilities far beyond anything known to humankind, making them a “very serious national security issue.” Despite this, the government has continually downplayed the threat, perhaps hoping that the public will remain blissfully unaware of the dangers lurking in the skies above.

Elizondo’s concerns are not without precedent. He notes that UFO sightings date back to before World War II, and many of these unidentified crafts have violated sensitive military airspace. While no one in the U.S. has reportedly been harmed by these mysterious visitors, Elizondo, drawing from his combat experience, fears that the next major attack on American soil could come from above — and it’s one we may not see coming. In a move that could only be described as a sign of growing alarm, Elizondo resigned from his Pentagon position to go public, sharing with the world what the government has desperately tried to keep secret.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Will Smith (@willsmith)

Perhaps most disturbingly, Elizondo reveals that the Defense Department has a history of withholding crucial information, not just from the public, but even from our elected officials.

“The Defense bureaucracy… didn’t trust President Nixon, so it didn’t tell him much about UFOs,” he writes, implying that our leaders may be as much in the dark as the rest of us.

And what of the remains of non-human bodies recovered from crash sites? Elizondo hints at a chilling cover-up, suggesting that the Defense Department may never disclose what it knows about these extraterrestrial entities. Despite recent releases of UFO-related information, largely thanks to Elizondo and his colleagues, the government continues to drag its feet, reluctant to admit that the threat might be more “imminent” than they would like us to believe .

As the world holds its breath, reports of UFO sightings have surged across the globe in the last year. From mysterious lights over the skies of Brazil to inexplicable craft sightings in Russia and unexplained aerial phenomena in the United States, the question is no longer whether we are alone — but what exactly is out there, and why isn’t the government telling us? The clock is ticking, and as Elizondo warns, time may be running out.

Lil Wayne Calls BS On Ex-Bodyguard’s Assault Lawsuit

Lil Wayne denied any wrongdoing after his former bodyguard sued him for an alleged assault. According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, the New Orleans native asked a Los Angeles County court to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Carlos Christian.

Christian accused Lil Wayne of punching and threatening the bodyguard with a gun during an incident at the rapper’s Hidden Hills, California home in 2021. Christian sued his former employer for assault and infliction of emotional distress in 2023.

Lil Wayne allegedly pointed a semiautomatic rifle at Christian and punched the bodyguard in the head, per the lawsuit. Christian feared he was going to get shot. He claimed his former boss “acted with malice” with “a willful and conscious disregard” for Christian’s safety.

“It reasonably appeared to plaintiff that [Lil Wayne] was about to carry out the threat,” Christian’s lawyer wrote. “Plaintiff suffered severe emotional distress, requiring him to seek mental health treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) stemming directly from this incident.”

Lil Wayne insisted he acted in self-defense. His attorney said Christian suffered no injuries at the hands of the Hip-Hop star. The lawyer told the court Christian “failed to exercise reasonable care and diligence to mitigate his alleged damages.”

Christian called the cops on Lil Wayne over the incident in 2021. Weezy’s team contested the bodyguard’s allegations and said he didn’t even own a gun. No charges were filed.

Prince Fans Bomb On John Legend Over DNC “Let’s Go Crazy” Cover: “This Is Why Doves Cry”

Prince fans weren’t impressed with John Legend’s rendition of the late artist’s song “Let’s Go Crazy” at the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Legend performed Prince’s track before Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz spoke at the DNC in Chicago on Wednesday night (August 21).

Legend was joined by Prince collaborator Sheila E. and guitarist Ari O’Neal, who received rave reviews for her contributions. O’Neal reacted to the positive response to her performance on Thursday (August 22).

“Literally in tears right now,” she wrote on Instagram. “God is so good behind the stage, under the stage, one the stage: this is the energy I ALWAYS give. I love what I do, and I’m grateful for the people God has put in my life. @johnlegend thank you for being so AMAZING. You and your whole team were so incredibly kind, and welcoming. Your music as contributed so much to our culture!!! @sheilaedrummer AUNTIEEEE!!! I love you, THANK YOU for paving the way for ALL women musicians. You are a leader and my shero.”

Legend covered a Prince song to set the stage for Walz, the Governor of Minnesota. Prince, a Minneapolis native, was known for staying in his home state throughout his career.

“You might not know it, but I haven’t given a lot of big speeches like this,” Walz told the DNC crowd. “But I have given a lot of pep talks. So let me finish with this, team. It’s the fourth quarter. We’re down a field goal. But we’re on offense and we’ve got the ball. We’re driving down the field. And boy, do we have the right team. Kamala Harris is tough. Kamala Harris is experienced. And Kamala Harris is ready.”

Megan Thee Stallion Lands First Award Show Hosting Gig With MTV

MTV recruited Megan Thee Stallion to host the 2024 Video Music Awards. This year’s VMAs will be held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on September 11.

“Hotties I’m hosting THEE 2024 @vmas,” Megan informed her fans on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Tune in September 11 #MeganTheeVMAsHost.”

Megan dug up an old post of her celebrating her first VMAs in 2019. She reflected on what she said five years ago and dubbed this year’s event the Hot Girl VMAs.

“Wow kept my promise to thee hotties and LEVELED UP,” she wrote. “NOW ITS THEE HOTGIRL VMAS.”

Megan takes over the VMAs after dropping her self-titled album in June. The project featured her viral hit “Mamushi.”

The 2024 VMAs mark Megan’s first time hosting an awards show, but she does have host experience. She previously hosted Saturday Night Live and once co-hosted The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Megan was nominated for five awards at this year’s VMAs, including “Best Collaboration” with her tourmate Glorilla. Big Glo is scheduled to perform at the show.

MTV booked Sabrina Carpenter, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, and more to perform at the 2024 VMAs. Katy Perry will receive the Video Vanguard Award and perform. Past recipients include Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Missy Elliott, LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys.

Katy’s prowess will be on full display LIVE on the VMAs with a can’t-miss, career-encompassing performance celebrating her biggest moments and chart-topping hits.

The 2024 VMAs were originally scheduled for September 10. MTV moved the event to September 11 to avoid a conflict with the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

Yung Miami Clashes With Joe Budden After Mocking His “Pump It Up” Gold Plaque

Yung Miami got into a social media spat with Joe Budden after mocking the rapper-turned-podcaster over a recent accolade.

Joe Budden only recently received a gold plaque for his breakout hit, “Pump It Up,” more than 20 years after its release. Yung Miami found that hilarious and dropped several laughing emojis in response to a clip of LL COOL J giving him the plaque. She added, “I was 9 im 30 now.”

Joe Budden considered firing back but instead replied, “It would be too easy…” However, he later doubled back, adding, “Maybe tmw lol…”

X/Joe Budden

Yung Miami then explained the reason for her shade. Last year, Budden gleefully (and erroneously) predicted the demise of her Revolt podcast.

“Another one bites the dust remember???” she said, reminding Budden of his taunts. “You was just celebrating when you THOUGHT I took an L. I can laugh YOU was just laughing at me so LETS LAUGH!”

During an episode of the Need To Know podcast last December, Joe Budden said that while he “loves” Yung Miami and her show, he doubted there would be a second season.

“Won’t be getting one of those again,” he said before singing Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust.” He also pointed out that she won awards for her podcast but added, “You know when there’s a glitch in the matrix.”  He continued singing before stating, “Get the f### out of here.”

Last December, Yung Miami was caught up in the scandal amid the allegations against Diddy. She discussed their relationship on the comeback episode of Caresha Please, which Budden also criticized.

Tyrese Slams “Narcissistic Sociopath” Ex-Wife For Not Apologizing Despite His Constant Rants

Tyrese is calling out his ex-wife for not apologizing to him for the trauma he’s suffered over their divorce amid their ongoing dispute over monthly child support payments.

On Wednesday (August 21), during a lengthy Instagram rant, the singer and actor slammed Samantha Lee for leaving him “out of the blue” and for not taking “accountability” for causing him pain, despite him frequently expressing his feelings on songs and in interviews.

“I ain’t releasing no album called Beautiful Pain because I just felt like f###### with my ex and singing all these songs about how I feel and how I’m feeling about what I lived and experienced cuz she left me out the blue,” he said.

According to Tyrese, Lee is aware of his feelings and should have reached out to apologize. “Y’all seen all the interviews,” he added. “You know the only person that ain’t call me to say I’m sorry?”

Earlier this week, Tyrese broke down during an interview while discussing significant personal losses. He became emotional about lost loved ones, including his mother, two sisters, Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker, and Baby Boy director John Singleton. He also expressed his pain over two divorces and ongoing custody battles.

“I guess all these feelings that you caused don’t f###### matter,” he said during his IG Live. “I’m not playing victim, I’m a grown ass man.”

He added, “I’m coming up on four years of posting, venting, talking, releasing songs and singles and ain’t nobody called me to say I’m sorry.”

Branding his ex-wife a “narcissistic sociopath,” Tyrese continued. “It’s like even if you’re screaming and yelling, ‘You hurt me! You f###### hurt me!’ they have no way of processing the pain and the trauma that they caused,” he stated. “That’s a very dangerous game.”

Meanwhile, Samantha Lee, a social worker who regularly dishes out relationship advice, recently shared a message about moving on.

“A lot of us be giving attention to people, places and things that we are no longer at,” she explained. “I’m not watching what my past is doing. It’s my past, we leave that behind. We move forward.”

Method Man Claims He’s Never Been Paid Streaming Royalties

Method Man doesn’t know much about how streaming services work, but he does know that he’s never received a dollar from any platform.

During a recent interview for Hot 97, Method Man discussed the state of the music industry, giving it an F grade for their reaction to streaming platforms.

“Took them too long to adjust to streaming,” he explained. “To a point where they’re drowning and fighting, trying to tread water right now. I don’t think it’s really working out because the way the industry, or rather the way music is received, has changed so much that they either have to adjust or get the hell out of the way.”

After discussing concerns over artists’ rights with the rise of AI, Method Man made a jaw-dropping claim. According to Meth, he’s never received royalty payments from any streaming service.

“Honestly I’ve never gotten a streaming check for any of my music,” he stated.

Method Man’s claim is a startling one, given the volume of music he has on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, the latter of which boasts more than 3 million monthly listeners turning into Meth alone and 5.6 million monthly Wu-Tang Clan listeners.

While Method Man criticized the music industry, he believes recording artists are excelling and deserve an A grade.

“The things that we’re getting now as far as music as a whole, it’s so many different genres that are crossing into other genres,” he said. ” I just seen sexy red at a country music concert. That right there says a lot.”

Check out the video below. The streaming services discussion begin around the 4:15 mark.

Pras Denies Dissing Lauryn Hill On “Bar Mitzfa” Single

Pras is clearing the air after dropping an apparent Lauryn Hill diss following the sudden cancellation of Fugee’s North American tour dates.

“It’s not a diss track,” Pras told Vulture of “Bar Mitzfa,” released earlier this month. “You’re family, you have internal disagreements, but it’s not going to be on a level where I’m dissing her — that doesn’t make any sense. Artistically speaking, sometimes we say things because that’s how we express ourselves. He added, “This track is me speaking my truth,” insisting ” those lines just came out,” during the writing process.

According to Pras “everyone’s frustration has been building up,” in the run-up to the cancellation. “This is not something that just happened overnight. My frustration was for the fans. They are paying their hard-earned money to see you.”

Pras Hesitated Over Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Anniversary Tour

He also explained that he had reservations before agreeing to do the Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Anniversary Tour. ”There’s magic when the three of us are onstage,” Pras said before admitting they no longer ask Lauryn Hill if she will be on time for shows. “It gets to a point that you say, is it even really all worth it?” he said.

Pras said he was “was both surprised and not surprised” at Lauryn Hill axing the tour. “Last year, there were supposed to be 20 shows, and we did ten,” he reflected. “They were all sold out, but ten extra shows needed to be done that she canceled. Now you put shows on sale this year, and people are like, How do we know this is not gonna be canceled?”

Lauryn Hill blamed media “sensationalism and clickbait headlines” for poor ticket sales after canceling the dates just days before the tour was set to kick off.

Dame Dash is opening up about his finances and questioning his former partner JAY-Z’s pockets amid the upcoming sale of his Roc-A-Fella shares.

“Somebody asked me how I got so broke. Investing in my dreams,” Dame explained during a recent Instagram Live. “You know, when you’re investing in your dreams and you dream big, you’re always gonna be broke…or have a lot of s###. But I don’t have no money for nobody else. That’s what you call broke. But that’s what it is.”

Dame’s 33 percent stake in the label is due to be auctioned off later this month to satisfy the $805,000 judgment to director Josh Webber. He recently accused JAY-Z of attempting to diminish the value of his shares.

“[JAY-Z] has the first right of refusal,” he added, presumably alluding to co-founders Hov and Kareem “Biggs” Burke’s attempt to halt the sale, citing company bylaws. “They had some bum-ass board meeting … and all of a sudden he gets the first right of refusal. I don’t really care. It don’t slow nothing down for me.”

In February, a judge rejected JAY-Z and Biggs’ attempt and admonished them for adopting the clause during a 2021 board meeting in Dame Dash’s absence.

Nonetheless, Jay-Z and Biggs are entitled to purchase the shares at auction. While the bidding will start at $1.2 million, Dame hopes for more than $10 million and wonders how much Hov would be willing to splurge.

“Now I don’t know how deep homie’s pockets is,” Dame said of JAY-Z. “I’m curious if he’s gonna match that. I put an offer on the table, we’ll see if he’ll match it. But it was from other people.”

Joe Budden Fans Stunned By “Pump It Up” Gold Plaque

Joe Budden may be a retired rapper, but he’s still receiving accolades from his days as an MC, and he has achieved a significant milestone with his biggest hit song, “Pump It Up.”

During a recent episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, LL COOL J surprised the host with a gold plaque for his hit “Pump It Up.”

After celebrating the achievement, Budden said, “That’s nice, I will take it. Humbling moment.” He thanked LL COOL J before admitting, “I almost shed a little thug tear.”

Budden released “Pump It Up” in 2003 as the lead single from his self-titled debut album. The track officially received its RIAA certification last August, and fans were stunned that it took two decades to earn gold status. However, reactions were divided, with many in disbelief while others trolled the rapper-turned-podcaster.

“Serious question? It’s only gold?” one person wrote on Instagram. Another person said, “We really killed music in the download era because ‘Pump It Up’ supposed to be Platinum.”

Meanwhile, other social media users took the opportunity to mock the outspoken media personality.

“NOW WAIT A MIN,” one person tweeted. “You mean to tell me it took 21 years for this man to sell 500k units of 1 record, but he got the nerve to be on a podcast talking trash about Female Rappers that sell that in a year or less????”

Another person referenced Budden’s recent feud with Drake. “This why he really Hate Drake,” they wrote. “20 years to go gold.”

Although Budden dropped “Pump It Up” over twenty years ago, he still receives requests about it. Earlier this year, Budden claimed Nicki Minaj reached out asking him to perform it at her Pink Friday Tour stop in NYC. Nonetheless, he rejected the invite, stating, “I ain’t hype no more.”

“The View” Co-Host Gets Dragged After Flexing Barack Obama Photo-Op

A Barack Obama photo posted by The View co-host Ana Navarro went viral after social media users criticized her for being overly familiar with the former President.

On Wednesday (August 21), Navarro, a speaker on the second night of the DNC, posted a few images for her run-in with Barack Obama, who also addressed the delegates. His wife, Michelle Obama, also delivered a speech.

Navarro appears to fix Obama’s tie in one image, causing a stir online. Her caption also ruffled feathers.

“Somebody had to fix his tie,” she wrote. “So Chacha and I pitched-in.”

Political commentator April Reign was incensed by the gesture and slammed Navarro in a series of tweets.

“Girl, delete this,’ she began. “You are not that somebody, or whatever Aaliyah said. You know this is out of bounds, which is why you locked the responses.”

Reign continued, “Because what you NOT gon do is imply YOU needed to fix his tie, when Michelle was right around the corner in the green room. You and your purse dog need to remember your place, and it’s not within tie distance of our POTUS. Like literally how dare you.”

While some suggested the gesture was “harmless,” Reign pushed back.

“If it was harmless, she wouldn’t have locked the responses. And there is no way Ana could take Barack from Michelle. Again, I said it’s about respect. Not ‘love love,’” she added. “It is such a familiar gesture. And if she wanted to keep that photo for cutesy anecdotes over dinner at her home, fine. But the caption is wholly disrespectful.”

Reign, the creator of the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag, wasn’t the only person to call out Navarro. Check out some other responses below.

Ana Navarro Explains Barack Obama Interaction

While Navarro didn’t respond to Reign or anybody else on X, she added “context” in her Instagram caption.

“Michelle was on stage,” she said. “This was the moment he walked out of his dressing room to go on stage, last night. There were dozens of ppl lining the halls hoping to catch a glimpse.”

Navarro said she has “been with him many times” since meeting Obama in 2007. “But it was never personal,” she added. “I never doubted his decency, capacity and moral compass. He is a good man.”

Nicki Minaj Issues PSA About Former Friends & Artists Signed To White-Owned Labels

Nicki Minaj is airing out her grievances and going off on artists signed to record labels owned by white people.

During a recent chat on StationHead, Minaj called out artists for not wanting to sign to her own Heavy On It label and instead choosing to go with white-owned companies.

“Muthafucka tell somebody they don’t want to sign with Heavy On It,” she began her rant. “But then they’ll go and sign with the white peoples. And guess who the white peoples finna call?” After naming herself, Minaj added, “They always get the attention of the Barbz.”

Furthermore, Nicki Minaj revealed that Heavy On It artists feature exclusively on her upcoming deluxe album, Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded.

“And I’m not talking about doing ad-libs on any songs,” she said. “If their name is not on Pink Friday 2, they’re not a Heavy On It artist.”

Ice Spice Claims Nicki Minaj “Jealous” She Owns Masters

Following the Heavy On It launch last year, Ice Spice was speculated to have signed to the label amid her first collab with Nicki Minaj, “Princess Diana” remix.

Ice Spice recently discussed business dealings with Nicki Minaj in messages leaked by a former friend. She claimed their second collab, “Barbie World,” was “an opportunity I brought her,” and called Minaj “ungrateful & delusional,” for not acknowledging it.

“I cut her off btw not speaking to her till January,” she wrote.

Ice also claimed Minaj “wants publishing from all my songs” and believed she was “jealous” the Bronx rapper owned her masters. After pointing out she was already signed (she inked a deal with Virgin Records), she claimed Minaj “gaslights me too much.”

While Ice Spice told Rolling Stone last month, “we’re definitely good,” Nicki Minaj fans believe otherwise. Internet sleuths recently noticed Minaj unfollowed Ice Spice on social media and believe the pair have fallen out.

Minaj addressed the topic of former friends during her StationHead talk.

“Don’t ask me about nobody please,” she stated, adding that if you “don’t see someone around me,” then “go and talk to them. Leave us alone.”

Despite her rant about artists signing to white-owned labels, it’s worth noting Nicki Minaj is signed to Young Money, which is part of Lucian Grainge-owned Universal Music Group.

TDE President Punch Reveals Touching Story Behind Kendrick Lamar’s “Mortal Man”

Top Dawg Entertainment mastermind Punch has just revealed the remarkable story behind one of Kendrick Lamar’s most notable, critically acclaimed album deep cuts.

In a surprising revelation, Top Dawg Entertainment’s (TDE) president, Punch, has opened up about a pivotal moment in the creation of Kendrick Lamar’s critically acclaimed album To Pimp a Butterfly. As the album neared completion, with roughly 70% of the work done, Kendrick Lamar found himself grappling with the weight of his ambitious concept. The candid Instagram post shared by Punch sheds light on how a moment of creative uncertainty that nearly derailed the iconic project ended up paving the way for the masterpiece that is K. Dot’s “Mortal Man.”

“I remember Kdot was feeling a bit lost in the concept, it happens sometimes when your in the thick of the battle, it’s easy to kind of lose sight of the original purpose as new ideas and thought enter in,” Punch wrote in the post “in the thick of the battle.”

Feeling the pressure, Lamar turned to his trusted confidant for guidance.

“He hit me and asked if I could write something to sum up the album and where we were going,” he wrote. “I thought about it and wrote some words and sent it to him.”

But after sending the words to Lamar, there was no immediate indication of their significance. Punch recalled. But little did he know that his contribution would become a key element of the album. Fast forward a few months later, and the album was finally complete. During the final playback session before its release, Punch was in for a surprise.

“He said ‘thanks’ and we kept moving with business as usual,” he said. “We listened to the album for a final time right before release, and I hear something new on the end of ‘Mortal Man’ that I hadn’t heard. Then I realized these were the words that I sent Dot months before!”

In a twist, Kendrick Lamar had subtly woven Punch’s words into the album, a gesture that caught even the TDE president off guard. For Punch, this moment remains deeply personal, emphasizing the secrecy surrounding Lamar’s creative process.

“Even when we played it back during the process he never played that section,” he wrote. “This will always be a special moment for me.”

Being a part of To Pimp a Butterfly in such a meaningful way is something Punch cherishes, especially considering the album’s profound impact on music and culture. Upon its release, To Pimp a Butterfly became an instant classic, cementing Kendrick Lamar’s place as one of the greatest artists of his generation. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 324,000 copies in its first week, a remarkable feat in the streaming era.

To Pimp a Butterfly was lauded by critics and fans alike for its innovative fusion of Hip-Hop, jazz, and funk, as well as its unflinching exploration of themes like race, identity, and social justice. The album’s lead single, “Alright,” became an anthem for the Black Lives Matter movement, further solidifying its cultural significance. To Pimp a Butterfly went on to earn Kendrick Lamar 11 Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, and won the award for Best Rap Album.
