Success has been great for Queens, New York rapper LL Cool J.
The “NCIS: Los Angeles” star was spotted flossing out in Beverly Hills, California with his usual Hip-Hop swag.
LL, who created the #1 charting Hip-Hop cruising anthem “The Boomin System” back in 1990, hit the streets of Beverly Hills to remind folks he’s not slouching.
On a side note, LL was out rolling in Beverly Hills because he was a surprise guest at an event for a trauma search event hosted by the Ulmer Institute. LL mingled with prominent members of the African-American and Jewish communities to share information on trauma relief.
“I’m from New York maybe it’s not fair for me to talk about that because it’s real naturally normal to me to have Jewish friends, it’s just part of it. My grandfather was from the Bronx, he came home with gefilte fish every week. I mean, I didn’t like it, no disrespect, but I loved him, it wasn’t my thing, but I always had great Jewish friends.
“They’ve been good to me, they’ve been good to me in my life too, even my agents, and that kind of seems stereotypical but I’m even talking about non-executive types, like Rick, who was a producer and Lyor Cohen who was a concert promoter and my friends Mark and Eugene, in New York, who own restaurants, creative guys, just always been there, it’s natural.”

(AllHipHop News) Fat Joe may have had some regrets when he recently revealed that Biggie’s legendary track “I Got A Story To Tell” was about former NY Knicks star Anthony Mason.
But, Hip-Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has showed him some support by echoing the same sentiments.
On an interview with The Breakfast Club, Diddy, who had a very well publicized business and friendship with Biggie before his untimely death in 1997, provided further confirmation on the subject of the track.
“With this tour you’ll be able to hear those stories come out. This is the time to tell all those stories. We’re actually shooting a documentary, so all of that is coming out. That story’s true I can confirm that. I can confirm that with love.”
A great mystery in Hip-Hop finally being revealed has even caused a bit of controversy in the sports world as well.
Former NBA star Charles Oakley criticized Fat Joe while talking to TMZ.com stating “you don’t talk about a guy after he’s deceased, definitely disrespectful.”
Oakley went on to state that he had a close relationship with Mason and the two even played together as they both helped the Knicks reach the 1994 NBA Finals.
Fat Joe may be getting pretty deep into politics! Rosario Dawson is calling on more Latinos and Latino millennials to get involved in the election as Fuse and Voto Latino are looking for two aspiring Latino journalists to cover the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. According to the Huffinton Post, Fat Joe along with America Ferrera, Rosie Perez, and Angie Martinez will join Dawson in the search to find the Latino journalists through the “Crash the Parties” initiative. It’s nice to see Fat Joe getting involved in an initiative that will galvanize young Latinos to get involved in covering politics and addressing issues that affect their community.
Fat Joe has also had an eventful week as he sent the Hip Hop world into a frenzy when he stopped by ESPN’s Highly Questionable, and revealed that Anthony Mason was the person the Notorious B.I.G. was rapping about on his song “I Got A Story To Tell.” He has since expressed regret about sharing this detail saying, that maybe it wasn’t his place to reveal what he thought was public knowledge.
Kim Kardashian recently had a pregnancy scare and decided to Snap Chat her way through finding out the results. Kim was so nervous that she purchased pregnancy tests from Clearblue, E.P.T., and First Response. Although Kim K has stated in the past that pregnancy is not for her, a grinning Kanye West told Ellen that the couple may have more children in the future. Kim Said,
“I’m legit in the airplane bathroom and I’m going to take a pregnancy test because I’m having a little bit of a scare. So, no big deal.”
Well the results of Kim’s Clearblue pregnancy test read “not pregnant.” Kim expressed during her last pregnancy that both times around she experienced a lot of issues. Even though Kim may not want to have anymore children, it seems like Kanye may be trying to get her regardless. What do you think they would name their third child?
In watching “The Nice Guys,” starring Ryan Gosling, Russell Crowe and newcomer Angourie Rice, there is no question that Los Angeles, circa 1970 is a huge part of this new movie from Warner Bros. Pictures that opens nationwide in theaters this Friday, May 20, 2016.
Nevertheless, in speaking candidly to Ryan Gosling about what appealed to him most about doing this action comedy alongside co-star Russell Crowe, the era was not a draw for Gosling.
“The seventies just seemed dirty and not in an interesting way,” shared Gosling on the era. “The 70s wasn’t the draw, but it was fun to do,” stated Gosling, a self identified child and proponent of the 80s.
However if the seventies weren’t of particular interest to Gosling, who is better known along with Crowe for his dramatic roles, it was the ability to flex comedic muscles that his fans and others might not expect him to be eager to showcase.
“I read it as an opportunity to really do a lot of physical comedy and take it to a broad place.” stated Gosling of his method, which in his opinion could dovetail nicely with director Shane Black’s original vision for the movie as a different sort of comedy specifically due to the unusual casting of Gosling and Crowe. ”
(Shane Black) cast us not because he thought we were funny, but because he thought it would be funny to have two guys that are so serious be in something so silly,” stated Gosling, continuing, “so even if Russell and I didn’t have the rapport that we have, I think it still would have worked on that level… we had a good time making it.”
As for the specific time on set that Gosling knew that he and Russell Crowe would actually have that comedic rapport, as is often way of good comedic chemistry, it came from the most unlikely and unglamourous of circumstances:
“One of our first scenes together was that bathroom stall scene, ” recounted Gosling. “I went early to set to figure out the door gag and I smelt smoke and I looked and Russell was (there) smoking. He was very seriously telling me how he thought the door could bounce better, and we were very seriously having this conversation as I had my pants around my ankles in a bathroom stall,” remembered Gosling, concluding: “I thought it was going to work.”
“The Nice Guys” from Warner Bros. Pictures, starring Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley and Kim Basinger opens nationwide in theaters on Friday, May 20, 2016.
In a game of Smash or Pass, Angela Yee let it be known which rappers she would smash or pass on. Yee said Common could be her baby daddy because he doesn’t have any kids and she would scam Idris Elba and Floyd Mayweather out of their money.
As if it wasn’t a lot already going on in the segment, things went even further. Angela said Drake and friends could run a train on her, she’d let Eminem cream pie her, and she would have to suck off 50 Cent. Well fellas….. shoot your shot.

Many wonder how anyone could support Donald Trump, especially minority voters. A few black Trump supporters were asked on CNN how could they possibly vote and support Donald Trump. The interviewer wanted to know in particular how could black voters vote for Donald Trump, the man that we’ve all heard will do nothing for people of color in this country. One of the supporters said,
“He’s kind of got a Hip Hop swagger to him, and I think people like that. He’s all about money and entrepreneurship. There were a lot of people before he was a candidate who are black American and famous and they loved him. I think that there are a lot of people in the closet who also love him. Job competition and job scarcity issues like that he’s actually addressing those issues. That’s going to help black Americans.”

(AllHipHop News) Many questioned the validity of a tweet of rapper Soulja Boy and his claim that he struck a $400 million deal.
But it turns out the 25-year-old rapper was tweeting the truth on May 1.
Soulja Boy has a five-year, $400 million deal with World Poker Fund Holdings (WPFH).
Under the agreement, World Poker Fund will utilize Soulja Boy’s 15 million plus followers to promote the different assets the World Poker Fund controls online, including CelebrityWorld.com.
WPFH also has plans to use World Poker Fund to promote their forthcoming gaming platform, which will target over 3 billion plus global travelers who fly with any of the larger airlines.
$400 million deal confirmed. I still they think they low balled me though. I was thinking 2 or 3 billion..
“I invest in things I understand. I enjoy music, and of course gaming. Being an influencer is a form of currency,” Soulja Boy told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Having portfolio diversification is critical if you want to be an effective brand ambassador. With regards to World Poker Fund, I believe in its strategy, its team, the vision, and management’s ability to target its financial goals.”
Matthew Bird, a spokesman for World Poker Fund, declared that the deal exhibited the changing nature of marketing and advertising.
“The world of marketing is changing, today’s biggest influencers are not brands, but individuals who create content that drive loyalty and brand sentiment. We no longer are fed content from major news networks — we seek it out and consume it by individual influencers that enrich our lifestyles. Soulja Boy represents the best of the best and we are already seeing the impact from his presence.”
