During his interview he broke down a few things. He let everyone know that he and Cam’ron are actually cool, and that people shouldn’t read too much into their social media antics.

He stated that he is the reason that Love & Hip Hop exists, as he laid the blueprint. He also went on to call Mona Scott-Young an evil b-tch, and he said he would never make amends with Yandy Smith as he doesn’t make up with people he’s made enemies out of. He also made sure to let folks know that Yandy worked for him.

Jim Jones also touched on relaunching his Vamp Life clothing line because Dame Dash stole money from him, and Mase getting famous in a matter of 8 months and fame going to his head.

YG & AD Music Video Shoot Site of Gunfire

(AllHipHop News) West coast rapper YG and AD were in the middle of shooting the music video for their track “Thug” in Compton, California on Sunday afternoon when gunfire rang out across the set, sending more than 200 people running for safety.

Law enforcement sources stated that the incident appears to be gang related, as they found about 30 shell casings from an AK-47 on the ground and recovered a handgun, although the owner of the weapon yet to be determined.

While YG and his crew were detained before being released, a rep for YG confirmed to TMZ.com that the artist had no involvement and was fully cooperative with law enforcement.  A positive spin on this situation is that no one was hit in the hail of bullets.  No one has been arrested as of yet in connection with this incident.

Houston Producer Mr. Lee Accused of Beat Fraud In New Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) Houston producer Mr. Lee is currently under fire, as he’s the target of a new lawsuit filed by Ryan Elder, President and CEO of Elder Entertainment.

Artists that Mr. Lee has produced for include Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and a long list of others.

Elder alleges that Mr. Lee, along with Theron Parker, Chad “BC” Newton and David Smith aka “David Stunts,” took funds from him without providing many of the contractually agreed upon services.

More specific accusations include the double selling of beats that Mr. Lee claimed to produce, but were allegedly the work of other parties.

In his accusation, Elder identifies Slim Thug and Beatking as two artists who have purchased beats from Mr. Lee, although they were already contractually owned by Elder.

(AllHipHop News) Juelz Santana has lost his condo to foreclosure, according to reports.

The rapper owed $688,219 on the home and $7,000 in lawyers’ fees, according to reports, but was unable to get the property from out of arrears.

A judge issued a final foreclosure judgment against on April 22. The rapper lived in the same development where the Notorious BIG once lived. The condo will be sold at a sheriff’s sale.

Bossip reports:

Juelz, who was born LaRon James, took out a $486,000 mortgage 11 years ago to pay the $540,000 price tag on the condo. But Wells Fargo said in court papers that he stopped paying the $3,754 a month mortgage in November 2013. The bank sued him soon after, and the “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” rapper will soon be thrown out of the luxury condo in a private community in northern New Jersey.

Juelz recently announced that he was returning to the music industry.

Fat Joe Still Regrets Not Signing Eminem

Fat Joe recently sat down with DJ Vlad to talk crazy moments of the past that included him passing up on a few artists.

Vlad brought up a statement Fat Joe made last year about him regretting not signing Eminem. Fat Joe says Eminem knows every place he gave him his 6 different demos. Fat Joe also says Em asked him did he ever even listen to them.

Fat Joe says it’s his biggest regret because it’s Eminem who is now a walking statue. Fat Joe reveals that Eminem rubs it in his face all of the time. Remy chimed in saying that Fat Joe was still the gangster at the time, so he wasn’t trying to hear it back then.

That has to be one of the worst feelings to have the opportunity to sign someone who turns out to be an amazing talent and success story.

A Conversation With Hannibal Buress On ‘Angry Birds Movie’, Kanye’s ‘TLOP’ & ‘Fresh Prince’ Vs ‘Martin’

(AllHipHop Features) Rovio Entertainment’s Angry Birds franchise is easily one of the most successful mobile games in history. As a result, millions of app users around the world struggled with an addiction to slinging birds across their smartphone screens.

Those destructive fowls and their pig foes are now headed to the big screen.

The Angry Birds Movie cast features a flock of top talent such as Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, Sean Penn, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, and Danielle Brooks. Emmy nominated comedian Hannibal Buress also lends his voice to the animated motion picture.

Besides appearing in Sony Pictures Imageworks’ Angry Birds flick, audiences will get to hear Buress in the forthcoming The Secret Life of Pets as well as see him star opposite Zac Efron in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and Baywatch.

In addition, the Chicago bred performer presented his awkwardly confident comedic routines on Netflix this year with the documentary Hannibal Takes Edinburgh and the stand-up special Comedy Camisado.

I had the chance to chat with Hannibal about his recent film work. The conversation also included The Eric Andre Show co-host sharing his thoughts on Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo album, the two decade debate over The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air versus Martin, and his sole purpose for using Snapchat.

Check out excerpts from the convo below.

Still From ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ (via Sony Pictures)
Still From ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ (via Sony Pictures)

What attracted you to the role in Angry Birds?

They offered it to me, and it sounded cool. [laughs] I thought, “Sudeikis is in it.” And I get to be a voice in a big animated movie. It’s a different experience. I’m just trying to grow as a voice actor.

You talked about doing voice acting. You’re also in The Secret Life of Pets. Did you enjoy that version of acting?

It’s really simple. You do it for an hour in any major city. You don’t have to go to a set or go through hair and makeup. You show up to the studio, they ask you if you want any tea, you go into the booth, and throw some headphones on. The director usually Skypes in. You say all your lines a few times. If they have direction for you, they tell you that direction, and you adjust.

I think Chris Rock had that joke at some award show how it’s really easy. The people that work hard on Angry Birds are the people you won’t really know – the animators. That’s the real work. Going into a booth and just talking, that’s pretty simple stuff. I enjoy it.

I always felt like the people who star on The Simpsons have the greatest job in Hollywood.

Yeah, it’s a cool gig. There’s obviously different skill levels. There is talent involved. You have some people that can do seven different characters.

Can you talk about your character in Angry Birds?

My character is… what is he? [laughs] That’s what happens also. You just go in and read stuff, so you kind of get disconnected a little bit. But my character is a father. We’re having a Hatch Day party for my son. Sudeikis’ character, the delivery guy, messes it up, so I’m kind of just the dude giving him a lot of sh-t. I play kind of a d######## dad that’s upset that Sudeikis’ character is bad at his job.

I also wanted to ask about your new special Comedy Camisado. I noticed you had jokes about Stevie Wonder being blind, and you had a bit about babies possibly being racist. You even talked about the backlash you received from the Bill Cosby controversy. When you’re putting together your shows, are there any topics or people that you feel are off limits?

No, I just try to make it funny and try stuff to see if it works or if the idea has potential to work. That’s my main focus, just trying to put together a good show. I don’t really stray away from any topics.

During Camisado, you had a joke about Kanye’s Yeezus and how it grew on you. What did you think about The Life Of Pablo?

I may have to give it some more listens. It’s some great sounding stuff on there. I think “Father Stretch My Hands” is my favorite right now. I walk out to that on stage. I like it, it’s just the rollout of it was so weird. [laughs] That maybe sort of clouding how I feel about the album. It was cool, but it was a little all over the place. “Real Friends” is really dope. And “No More Parties In LA.” It’s got some bangers on there.

Who else are you listening to now?

I like the new Kendrick [Lamar] – untitled unmastered . It’s some good sh-t on there. Lately, I’ll just pick a Pandora station and go off of that. So I’ll put on the Flying Lotus Pandora [station], and that’s usually pretty good. Spotify has this “Discover Weekly.” Based off of what you play, they make a playlist every week. I’ll find new stuff off of that. Oddisee’s new project [Alwasta] is really dope. He put out an EP that’s got this track “Catching Vibes.” It’s pretty dope.

You had your special on Netflix, and you also did a documentary that came out recently. It seems like you have a good relationship with Netflix. Can we expect anything else?

We’ll see. I just like how they operate. It’s just simple for people to get it. Lots of people have Netflix all across the world. You can link to it, tweet it, or Facebook it. Somebody might watch it the day it comes out. Somebody might watch it the next day. Somebody might watch it six months from now. It’s there when they want to watch. You want to make it easy for people to access your work, and Netflix makes that happen.

There was a scene in the documentary where you were performing and people started heckling you because you were talking about London. You walked off the stage. Was that something that really bothered you?

It was annoying. It’s not the first time I’ve done that joke in Scotland. That crowd just sucked. Just because I’m mentioning London, you want to yell. F-ck that. [laughs] That’s really stupid. It’s childish. So if I can’t do the bit I want to do because you’re upset about London being mentioned, then I’m gonna walk. I’m not getting paid crazy money. The gig paid like £150. It was drinking money. It was more like, “I’m not dealing with this sh-t.”

I noticed that you’ve done a lot of work with Zac Efron. Are you guys low-key trying to do a Pryor-Wilder situation? What’s going on with that?

[laughs] Yeah, the two Neighbors movies and Baywatch. I guess three movies with Zac Efron. It just happened like that. I actually didn’t expect to get Baywatch at all. I went in for one role, and they ended up offering me something else. He’s a hardworking dude. I need to get on his fitness regimen. I want to get ripped like that and see how it changes my life. I’m gonna ask him when I go back to set, “What’s it like being ripped all the time? Tell me about that.” [laughs]

You’re doing The Eric Andre Show and Broad City. You had the sketch/stand-up series Why? with Hannibal Buress on Comedy Central. But is there any interest in doing your own sitcom?

Yeah, people have been throwing some ideas my way. I’ve come up with stuff, so I’d definitely will when the time is right and I have the right idea. I’m not in a rush right now. Maybe that’s something for late next year. Who knows? But it would be cool to take another shot at TV.

I need you to help me settle a debate I’m having with a friend of mine. If you could only watch one of these ‘90’s sitcoms – The Fresh Prince or Martin, which one would you pick?

I would go with Fresh Prince… That’s a tough one. Martin had the different characters, but that last season of Martin was weird cause him and Tisha [Campbell] were never on the same set together. So even though they switched up the moms on Fresh Prince, it kind of stayed cohesive all the way through… I got to go with Fresh Prince with the extended intro song. You know there’s a longer version?

Yeah, I think people forgot that.

There’s another verse to that.

I think the full version is on YouTube.

Yeah.

How can people reach you on social media?

It’s all “Hannibal Buress” – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. I don’t f-ck with Snapchat like that. I only got it so girls can send me t######. I don’t really post stuff.

SHOCKER: YouTube Determines The Most Relevant Rappers Of 2016 Based On Views & Numbers

Hip-Hop has countless discussions on the best, dopest, most lyrical and, quite frankly, the wackest rappers out. However, recent YouTube numbers and other video-based metrics make a powerful case for what rappers are the most relevant, musically. So, this doesn’t factor in Kanye’s fashion maneuvers, Jay Z’s business acumen or Dr. Dre’s indelible impact on the careers of so many artists. The list drills down on YouTube views and uploads of said artists. (Editor’s Note: The numbers are based on views from January to May, so it is a small indicator.) Check it out.

Bizzy Bone was recently asked during an interview with ITS AGTV which performer he would add to his Grammy winning crew. The Cleveland representative chose Champagne Papi.

“You know who I would want to be the sixth Bone member?” replied Bizzy. “He would go right with us – Drake. That dude. Just his harmony, his background, the different vibe that he’ll bring to the table, being from Canada, having that vibe, having that style, and that voice… man, he would be a bad sixth member if we’re talking about musically.”

Lil Wayne was another rap star Bizzy brought up as a possible addition to Bone. Big Pun’s name was mentioned as well.

50 Cent Reportedly Now More Than $36 Million In Debt

(AllHipHop News) The story surrounding 50 Cent’s bankruptcy situation continues to add more twists and turns.

The Daily Mail is now reporting the G-Unit leader is further in debt than he previously claimed.

[ALSO READ: 50 Cent Reportedly More Than $28 Million In Debt]

According to the publication, court documents filed on May 11 show 50 now owes creditors $36,098,773 not $28,478,920 like it was previously reported.

The Queens native apparently has $19.8 million in assets from $8.8 million in real estate and $11 million in personal property.

His monthly income is said to be $184,000, but he spends $108,000 per month.

50 reached deals with some of his creditors in March, agreeing to pay secured creditors in full and unsecured creditors between 74% and 92% of what they are owed over five years. In addition, the “I Get Money” rhymer owes $855,000 in domestic support and $1.48 million in taxes and debts to the government.

Recently, 50 (born Curtis Jackson III) requested a judge dismiss the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filed in May 2015 by his boxing company SMS Promotions.

Jackson filed for personal Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July 2015.

Makers Of Beyonce’s Ivy Park Deny Sweatshop Allegations

(AllHipHop News) The manufacturers of Beyonce’s activewear brand Ivy Park deny their garments are made in a sweatshop.

In a statement released on Monday (May 16), a spokesperson defended the brand against claims made by a British tabloid on Sunday, in which it was alleged that its Sri Lanka factory was akin to a sweatshop.

“Ivy Park has a rigorous ethical trading program,” the spokesperson said, according to WWD. “We are proud of our sustained efforts in terms of factory inspections and audits, and our teams worldwide work very closely with our suppliers and their factories to ensure compliance.”

The brand added that it fully expects its suppliers to meet their code of conduct and that they “support them in achieving these requirements.”

Ivy Park, a joint venture between Beyonce and Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, was accused by The Sun on Sunday of allowing seamstresses to work in substandard conditions at the MAS Holdings factory where some of the garments are made.

The report alleges that the mostly female workers earn $6.17 a day, and could never afford to buy a pair of Ivy Park leggings, which can cost up to $144.

The Sun also reported that the seamstresses were mostly from poor rural villages, can only afford to live in boarding houses and work more than 60 hours a week to make ends meet.

However, the minimum daily wage in Sri Lanka is 400 rupees, or $2.68. This means MAS isn’t breaking any laws and the Ivy Park workers are in fact earning more than twice the minimum wage for a day’s work.

Ivy Park landed in stores and online last month (Apr16), with the Formation singer presenting motivational messages in the accompanying campaigns.

The brand is named after Blue Ivy, Beyonce’s daughter with husband Jay Z, and Parkwood Park in the singer’s native Houston, Texas, where she used to run as a child to help build up her stamina for shows.

The line is currently stocked at 12 retailers across 50 countries worldwide including Topshop, Net-a-Porter and Selfridges.

With over 200 pieces of athletic and leisure wear, the collection features leggings, body suits, crop tops and t-shirts designed to enhance a range of body types.

Juvenile Accused Of Attacking Waffle House Customer

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Juvenile was involved in an altercation with a man in South Carolina during a stop on “The Legends of Hip-Hop Tour.”

TMZ.com obtained footage of Juvenile and a group of men attacking a Waffle House customer because the man allegedly made some rude comments about a woman Juvie was with.

The unidentified patron allegedly saw Juvenile enter the Waffle House, and said “Juvenile here, here come all the hoes now.”

That was enough to cause Juvenile and a group of men to beat the man up. No police reports have been filed as of press time.

Did Tyga Have A Problem With PartyNextDoor’s Pic With Kylie Jenner?

Is PartyNextDoor once again playing IG games with another man’s ex? Remember the singer was in the middle of that break-up situation with Kyrie Irving and Kehani?

Well, PND posted a pic on Instagram with the caption “Diamond battles with @kyliejenner.” The reality show star and Tyga ended their relationship not long before PartyOmo’s post.

Tyga then jumped on IG too. He wrote, “Diamond battles” on his own page. But T-Raww’s photo was minus any mention of Kylie.

Add in the fact that Tyga and PartyNextDoor’s OVO boss Drake have had their problems in the past and it seems like this could definitely be the latest episode of the soap opera starring the two camps.
