Crazy Legs Of Legendary NY B-Boy Group Rock Steady Crew Is Not A Fan Of New Netflix Show “The Get Down” (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Crazy Legs of legendary b-boy group Rock Steady Crew shared his bit of criticism recently for Netflix’s new show The Get Down.

Crazy Legs, who founded the Manhattan branch of the global dance crew in 1979, called the new Netflix Show boring and claimed the show lacked a realistic representation of Latinos’ influence on Hip-Hop culture in the city of New York.

“I know there’s a couple of people out there who are unhappy with me, because I’m speaking freely on my opinion on ‘The Get Down.’ That’s cool, you’re entitled to that. But so to am I entitled to speak about what I feel about it being boring, it having not enough Latinos playing the main roles of the kids have helped create this culture. I think continuity wise, script wise, it was lacking, it was off,” Crazy Legs stated.

The Get Down, which is set in the Bronx in the 1970s, puts its own spin on the early era of Hip-Hop culture in the city and stars actors such as Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, and Jaden Smith.

“I’m a Bronx, Puerto Rican, I grew up in Hip-Hop and I’m going to stand up for it,” the legendary B-Boy continued. “You can’t just come into our world, pay a few people and get them to be supportive, just because you did something about Hip-Hop.”

“The Get Down” premiered its first six episodes on Netflix on August 12 and have already caused controversy, as the series features a scene with Will Smith’s son Jaden engaged in a kiss with another male.

The second half of the show’s 12 episode first season is expected to become available for viewing on the video streaming site sometime in 2017.

Trick Daddy Goes Off On Rapper Nino Brown!

One thing we know about Trick Daddy is the Miami rapper does not play. Trick took time out to record a video in the rain cussing DJ Khaled’s former artist Nino Brown out!

Trick sent plenty of threats Nino’s way. Apparently one of the things that has upset Trick is the fact that Nino used Trick Daddy’s name in one of his songs without the rapper’s permission or blessing. A very angry Trick Daddy said,

“Somebody let that f*ck ni**a Nino Brown know he can’t go nowhere in Dade County. Your b*tch a** better move to Georgia or Mississippi somewhere. Let me catch you in front of my house doing a video, with all them prop guns. I called Khaled and asked about it. Khaled said he been let your fat a** go cause you were trying to take pictures with his money.”

Nino Brown didn’t take too kindly to Trick’s threats and responded with a freestyle diss on Instagram. He raps over Trick Daddy’s “Let’s Go”.

“Trick f*ckin’ around get stuck in the ground, you don’t know who you f*ckin’ with,” rapped Nino.

This kind of foolery isn’t foreign to either party as Trick Daddy is always spazzing out on camera, and Brown is always somewhere getting called out or slapped up. We will see how this plays out.

Oh yeah Trick says he’s going to stick his finger in Nino’s a** when he sees him. Ummmmm.

Kanye Sets Debut Date For Yeezy Season Four

KANYE WEST’s latest fashion creations will hit the catwalk on the opening day of next month’s (Sep16) New York Fashion Week.

A day after the rapper and designer’s Saint Pablo tour stops off at Madison Square Garden, where he hosted the splashy debut of his Yeezy brand’s third season in February (16), West will help launch Fashion Week alongside a Tom Ford presentation and the opening of Cartier’s Fifth Avenue mansion.

Kanye will be hoping for less controversy than that which greeted the debut of Yeezy 3 after he made a last-minute decision to schedule its debut at the same time as other top designers’ events.

Though his decision ruffled feathers, the controversy didn’t seem to affect reviews or sales. West has released no details about the upcoming collection, bar a tweet released even before the debut of season three, in which he announced he was working on a kids’ line.

His three-year-old daughter North West has already sported several custom Yeezy pieces and it appears she would be an obvious muse for dad.

West signed a deal with Adidas earlier this year (Jun16), which will result in a line of Yeezy retail outlets hawking shoes, apparel and accessories, but it’s uncertain whether the sports giant will be producing this next collection.

Fashion fans can expect an event when Kanye unveils his latest creations – at the Madison Square Garden launch in February, his wife Kim Kardashian and members of her family turned out to cheer him on, all wearing items from the new line. The rapper also debuted his new album, The Life of Pablo, at that event. (CM-LO/WNWCWDW/KL)

Pregnant Blac Chyna Loves Cheesesteaks; Rob Racks Up $13k Food Bill In ONE MONTH

We all know women get some pretty crazy cravings when they are pregnant.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are expecting their first child together and are engaged to be married at some point.

Well last night, during a Facebook Live chat, Rob Kardashian revealed Blac Chyna had a serious craving for Philly cheesesteaks during her pregnancy.

In one month, Blac Chyna ordered up $13,000 worth of food for his baby mama.

In Philly, where Jim’s sells the world’s best Philly cheesesteaks, even one with the works would set you back about $10 bucks.

So that means Blac Chyna could have eaten about 1,300 cheesesteaks, assuming Rob’s financials are correct and that’s all she ordered.

Former Detroit Kingpin Who Says “Empire” Based “Cookie” Character On Her Life Wins A Round In Court In $10 Million Battle

(AllHipHop News) A real life war is raging over one of the most popular characters on “Empire” and it could end up with director Lee Daniels squaring off with the real life “Cookie Lyon” in court.

Author Sophia Eggleston claims director Lee Daniels and Danny Strong stole the Cookie character from her 2009 memoir, “The Hidden Hand.”

In April, Eggleston, who is a former drug kingpin from Detroit, filed a lawsuit against Lee Daniels and Fox, seeking over $10 million in damages.

Eggleston’s lawsuit claimed she met screenwriter Rita Miller at her home in California in 2011, that resulted in a pitch to Daniels.

Apparently, a judge agreed that there were significant similarities between “Empire,” Cookie Lyons and “The Hidden Hand” and dismissed Lee Daniels’ lawyer’s’ bid to have the lawsuit dismissed.

Both sides will be deposed in the upcoming months as the court battle continues.

Kodak Black’s “No Black B*tch” Lyrics Anger Female Fans

While some are happy that Kodak Black recently entered a plea deal giving him an early release from jail, he seems to be losing some of his black female fans by the minute.

Kodak has ruffled a few feathers with his lyrics dissing dark-skinned woman.

A video clip surfaced that shows Kodak Black rapping about only wanting “yellow bone” women because he’s already black enough.

“Where them yellow bones? I don’t want no black b*tch. I’m already black. Don’t need no black b*tch,” rapped Kodak

Kodak also raps about wanting to blow money at Saks Fifth Avenue and having to pay these lawyers so that he can stay out of jail, but of course no one was going to let the “no black b*tch” part slide. Oh Kodak.

Fat Joe Believes No One Cares About Big Pun’s Legacy

Fat Joe is letting it be known that the accusations about him taking Big Pun’s money and leaving his family broke are completely untrue.

Joe says Pun made millions and millions of dollars, and he didn’t realize that Pun had mishandled all of his money by the time he passed away.

He went on to say he helped raise $1 million for Pun’s family, and his widow ran through it because she was used to spending money like that. He says she came back and he cut her another check but told her after this there would be no more.

Fat Joe says he isn’t Jay Z or Puff so he can’t just take care of people’s families for life. He says people need to get a job.

Joe also says no one cares about Big Pun but him and Remy Ma. According to Fat Joe, they are the only ones trying to continue Big Pun’s legacy, and he believes that someone needs to drill it into Big Pun’s widow’s head.

Joe also touched on losing a lot of money promoting independent records as he recalls having to really put up some bags to get his records out. Consequently, he even failed big with promoting some records independently.

Do you feel like Fat Joe is the only one keeping Pun’s legacy alive?

Joe Budden Calls Drake A “F-ck N-gga” and Explains Why He Stopped Dissing Him (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Joe Budden repeatedly claimed on his podcast and during an interview with Ebro In The Morning that he was tired of talking about Drake.

However, Budden recently continued to bash the OVO leader in a video published by My Mixtapez. The description for the clip – titled “The Podcast He Didn’t Want YOU To See!” –  claims the footage was from a deleted Periscope broadcast from August 9.

During a conversation about his feud with Drake, the YMCMB representative’s back-and-forth with Hot 97 and the “Lord Knows” creator’s music content, Budden went on a mini-rant.

The Slaughterhouse member said:

Your emotions, that’s what’s causing this. That is what is stirring all of this sh-t. That led my brain to a very interesting conundrum here. That totally just stems from insecurity. Y’all can call me nuts. It’s okay. I’ve been called nuts before. He’s very insecure. This is where I get confused. If I’m Drake, I’ve built my entire empire off said insecurity. Agree or disagree? So why would I want to get rid of it? I wouldn’t. That’s exactly why I stopped dissing him. It was pointless… Y’all just take a lot of f-ck sh-t from that f-ck n-gga!

The “I’ll Name This Podcast Later” uploaded last week did include Budden admitting the released show was re-recorded several times.

Nicki Minaj and Meek Shacking Up…In A Mansion In Beverly Hills

Nicki Minaj and her partner Meek Mill have finally moved into a Los Angeles mansion together.

The couple reportedly began looking for a mansion to buy in California in late 2015 but their plans hit a snag when Meek was found guilty of violating his probation in December and sentenced to house arrest, which he completed in June, in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Despite all the obstacles, Nicki and Meek, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, have finally moved into a nine-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills together, but have chosen to rent instead of buy.

The property also boasts eight bathrooms, a swimming pool, sprawling gardens, gated driveway and a five-car garage and costs $30,000 a month.

According to reports, only Nicki’s name is on the lease paperwork due to Meek’s house arrest, which banned him from working.

Milwaukee Officer Who Killed Suspect Is A Rapper and Now People Want Him Dead

(AllHipHop News) In a rather interesting plot twist, the Milwaukee police officer responsible for shooting and killing a fleeing suspect is also a rapper by the name of KB Domo.

The police officer, whose real name is Dominique Heaggan-Brown, 24, is an aspiring rapper who has a track freestyling over Meek Mill’s “Monster,” where he spits rhymes such as “Imma start a riot like its Baltimore.”

Just two months prior to the video’s June 2015 release, Baltimore was plagued by racially tinged riots that were sparked by the questionable death of Freddie Gray while in police custody.

Ironically, Brown murdered a suspect named Sylville Smith by shooting him in the chest and arm. Smith was found to be in possession of a handgun.

Unrest in the city stemming from the incident has led to several buildings being burned and multiple white people being randomly attacked by outraged citizens.

Dae Flywalker of the Milwaukee blog Breaking and Entering claims to have known Brown since grade school and can’t believe the predicament he is in.

“I was in shock and disbelief just like everyone else that knew him or grew up with him,” chimed Flywalker.

As if Brown wasn’t enshrouded in enough controversy already, he has also been the target of several death threats through social media according to the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.

One post angrily demanded, “Now y’all see his face if he’s seen anywhere in the city drop him,” while another one read “shoot him right in his head.”

Check out the officer and aspiring rapper’s “Monster” freestyle below.

Damian Marley Releases Provocative “Nail Pon Cross” Visuals Via Tidal (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) International reggae star Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley was announced as one of the artist-owners for the Tidal streaming service last October.

The son of the iconic Bob Marley has now teamed with the Tidal platform to premiere the visuals for his single “Nail Pon Cross” which appears on the forthcoming  Stony Hill album.

The video depicts Jr. Gong and others crucified on utility poles.

“It’s just kinda holding up a mirror to society and saying, ‘Hey, look how judgmental we can be,” states Marley. “When I wrote this song, I wasn’t thinking about police or politics. I was just thinking about basic everyday life. How we judge each other. How we judge our friends. How we judge everything. So that’s really what this song is about.”

Mos Def Doing One-Off Show In London With The Hypnotic Brass Band

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def will make a rare, one-off appearance with The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

Mos will head over to the United Kingdom to perform at the 02 Forum Kentish Town, in Kentish Town, London.

Over the years, the Cohran brothers have worked with artists like Prince, The Family Stone, Ghostface Killah, Damon Albarn, DOOM and others.

It is unclear if the performance in the U.K. means the rapper is making progress towards resolving issues with his status the South African government over issues with his Visa.

Mos was arrested in January for trying to use a “World Passport” to leave Capetown, which he declared his home in 2014.

Since his arrest, Mos Def has released a steady stream of music, including songs like “Tall Sleeves,” “N.A.W.,” “Tall Sleeves,” “Local Time” most recently, “Hymn” with Ferrari Sheppard as Dec. 99th.

The Kardashians Respond To The Game Saying He Slept With 3 Of Them

Well it looks like The Game may have been lying when he boasted about sleeping with 3 of the Kardahsians on his track, “Sauce.” He would be off about at least 2.

According to TMZ, sources close to the Kardashians say that you can count out Kylie, Kendall, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kris. Supposedly none of them had sex with The Game.

The sources do acknowledge that Kim dated Game back in the day, but that’s about it. They are also saying Game’s relationship with Khloe has been strictly platonic.

Perhaps Game was on his Kanye West shhh: creatively reckless! Apparently The Game also reached out to Kanye to get his blessing on the track to which Kanye granted it.

Knowing that crazy family, The Game probably hit the OG Kardashian, Kris Jenner.
