While he survived, King Louie still has “3 slugs” that will remain in his body after the attempted murder.

Travis Scott Denies Delaying The Release Of Rihanna’s Album

Songwriter and producer Glass John recently revealed that Travis Scott was allegedly the reason why the release of Rihanna’s highly anticipated ‘ANTI’ album has been consistently delayed. Rihanna fans thought they were going to run out and buy the album on Black Friday, however they actually had some more waiting to do. John claims that Scott isn’t feeling Rihanna’s single “Kiss It Better” enough for her to release it. According to John, Travis wants Rihanna to make an “all trap hood ghetto” album. Glass John also claimed it was Travis who named Rihanna’s album, and he wasted valuable studio time trying to come up with a better song than “Kiss It Better,” but he couldn’t. Travis Scott posted on Snap Chat,

“Don’t believe this sh*t.”

Perhaps Glass John is trolling or exaggerating the truth.

Could An A$AP Rocky & Bryson Tiller Collaboration Be Near?

Photo via A$AP Rocky’s Tumblr

A$AP Rocky jokingly claimed to be tired of hearing Bryson Tiller’s name everywhere, particularly from women. A$AP claims that he is the actual ladies man not Tiller. A$AP Rocky says,

“Who the f*ck is this Bryson Tiller n*gga? I’m the n*gga with the b*tches. I’m tired of you n*ggas talking about this n*gga. I’m the n*gga with the b*tches!.”

It seems like A$AP had a change of heart when he said,

“Bryson got the b*tches.”

Could an A$AP & Bryson collaboration be near? Would you like to see these two on a track together? Do you like Tiller’s music beyond his hit single “Don’t?”

Who Is Future Calling Out On “Low Life” ?

Photo via Future’s Instagram

The Weeknd and Future recently dropped a song called “Low Life” (produced by Metro Boomin.) The Weeknd said he had some things coming up for a while, and this was one of them. We hate subliminal shots; we need rappers to call out names! Before we ask you did the song live up to your new music expectations, we couldn’t help but to wonder who Future is talking about on the track. He says,

“N*ggas try to ride my wave, now they f*cking salty. Running with the wave get you killed quick.”

Who is Future talking about? Who tried to ride his wave, and who was unsuccessful doing so? Hey, Metro Boomin tried to tell these rappers that trying to follow Future’s path to success won’t make them heat up like Future. What are your thoughts?

Kendrick Lamar Addresses “Respectability Politics” Criticism Of His Song “The Blacker The Berry”

(AllHipHop News) Before dropping the critically acclaimed, socially conscious album To Pimp A Butterfly and essentially becoming the musical voice of the Black Lives Matter movement, Kendrick Lamar faced backlash from some members of the black community. Unfavorable terms such as “victim blaming” and “respectability politics” were brought up.

[ALSO READ: Kendrick Lamar Named #1 “Rap Genius” Of 2015]

The TDE emcee was criticized for saying “we don’t have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us?” after the Michael Brown killing. He was also confronted with negative comments for the lyrics in his song “The Blacker The Berry” which referred to him being a hypocrite for crying over Trayvon Martin’s death and not over the African-American deaths caused by gang violence.

Kendrick spoke about the criticism with NPR. According to the 28-year-old Compton native, his words on “The Blacker The Berry” were not meant to be viewed as a condemnation of his entire race.

“It’s not me pointing at my community; it’s me pointing at myself,” said Kendrick. “I don’t talk about these things if I haven’t lived them, and I’ve hurt people in my life. It’s something I still have to think about when I sleep at night.

He added, “The message I’m sending to myself – I can’t change the world until I change myself first.”

While mainstream artists like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole use their platforms as stars to address social and political issues, a large portion of modern popular rap music tends to focus more on what’s going on in the club than what’s going on in the community. Despite that trend, K. Dot plans to extend his tendency to make music that speaks to what is happening in the greater world around him.

“There’s a lot of other artists doing things outside of that depth that I enjoy — that music that I can actually have fun to, and not be in depth and think about, then I appreciate that,” stated Kendrick. “But as long as I’m doing it right now, I’ma continue to say just a little bit more that pertains to what’s going on.”

Ghostface Killah Speaks On Joint Album With MF Doom (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) It appears Ghostface Killah is set to officially join Madlib, Danger Mouse, Bishop Nehru, and others on the list of full joint album collaborators with MF Doom. Ghost spoke with Let’s Link Radio, and the Wu-Tang Clan member mentioned what he has coming up in the near future.

“Finishing up my Supreme Clientele. That’s gonna be a monster. To all real rap heads, that’s gonna be a monster. I’m proud of that project. I just hope every sample gets cleared. And then they’ll see what I’m talking about,” said Ghost. “I just got a bunch of things going on. This Wu-Goo project. We got music on this Wu-Goo project right here that we’re gonna be releasing every month.”

A project with Doom is among those efforts on the near horizon. After releasing his own joint LPs with Sheek Louch and BadBadNotGood over the last three years, Ghostface’s work with the masked man is currently scheduled to drop in the second month of 2016.

“I talked to Doom’s people. Doom is ready now,” Ghost added. “He’s been had the material, so he said he wants to drop that in February.”

50 Cent Reportedly More Than $28 Million In Debt

(AllHipHop News) Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has continued to expand his business portfolio with new music, television shows, and product endorsements. However, it appears the New York City mogul still owes a lot of money to his creditors.

It was originally estimated in July that 50 was about $26 million in the red, but Bossip is now reporting 50’s debt is over $28 million. The website reports:

50 aka Curtis Jackson filed for bankruptcy last July, just days after a New York jury awarded Rick Ross’ baby mama $5 million in the legal battle over her leaked sex tape. According to his Chapter 11 petition, the rapper claimed his assets were between $10 and $50, million but his liabilities were in the same range.

The rapper also lost a legal battle with his ex-business partners over a failed headphone deal and was slapped with a $17 million dollar judgement in that case. The total amount of liabilities 50 Cent lists for his top 20 creditors comes to a total of $28,478,920.

50 is hoping to bring in some additional funds through a lawsuit against longtime rival Rick Ross. The Maybach Music Group boss was hit with a $2 million lawsuit for using 50’s “In Da Club” track on his #RenzelRemixes mixtape.

Blu Suggests Alchemist & Evidence Are Racist Cops Sympathizers; Evidence Responds

(AllHipHop News) Social media was abuzz yesterday after news broke that the officers involved in killing 12-year-old Tamir Rice in Cleveland will not be indicted on any charges. Many people took to sites like Twitter to express their disappointment, frustration, and anger. One of those individuals was Los Angeles rapper Blu.

The creator of the classic underground album Below The Heavens went on a tweeting spree that included him blasting Dilated People’s member Evidence and veteran Hip Hop producer Alchemist. Blu claimed the two entertainers sympathized with Darren Wilson, the police officer that killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

He also asserted that Evidence and Alchemist were “getting young black males murdered” by supporting law enforcement agencies such as the Los Angeles Police Department. Another tweet included the hashtag “#F*ckWhitePeople.”

Evidence responded to Blu with two tweets. One read, “Blu is not well mentally. We all wish the best for him.” The second tweet featured the fellow California emcee saying Blu is still one of his favorite rappers. Alchemist has not commented publicly.

Ja Rule: It’s No Way Around White Rap Fans Using The N-Word (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The use of the n-word in Hip Hop has been a touchy subject in the culture for years. It is particularly controversial when it comes to white rappers and fans saying the term.

[ALSO READ: White Rapper Post Malone Caught Using The N-Word?]

Ja Rule spoke about the topic in an interview with DJ Vlad. The star of the family reality show Follow The Rules suggested nothing can really be done about white rap fans reciting the n-word at concerts or clubs.

“The kids listen to Hip Hop. They use the n-word. It’s no way around it,” said Ja.

The “Holla Holla” rapper told his sons to not use the word around their white friends. Ja made it clear he would not accept his children’s white friends saying the word in his presence even if they were reciting lyrics from a rap song. He also offered a warning to white males thinking about adding the word to their personal dialogue.

“I would advise any young white man, ‘You may not want to use that word. If you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, you’ll get punched in the mouth for using that word,'” stated Ja. “My kids may not punch him in the mouth for it, but one of my little cousins that still lives in the hood – yeah, you’re gonna get punched in the mouth.”

Meek Mill Trying To Get New Probation Officer

According to Page Six, Meek Mill is trying hard to get past his probation officer, who seems to have it out for him.

Nicki Minaj’s rapper boyfriend Meek Mill was meant to play a New Year’s Eve show in Las Vegas with his superstar girlfriend, but will instead be in Philadelphia performing community service under the watchful eye of his probation officer, Treas Underwood.

Mill’s been ordered to remain in Philly after a series of hearings in his hometown over violation of probation from a 2008 conviction, and been told by a judge to stay put till a Feb. 5 sentencing.

But insiders wonder whether Mill’s probation woes are in part due to his probation’s officer’s “obsession” with having a famous client. “She keeps showing up to his community service, which is not common,” a source said. “She has 122 other cases, but she has it out for him. Probation is supposed to be a rehabilitative thing, but she will do anything to keep him on probation.” Sources claim Mill and Underwood have a history, though she won’t acknowledge personally knowing the rapper before taking his case. “She’s from his neighborhood and he had an altercation with her cousin Coo when they were younger,” said a source. We’re told Mill’s been trying to get her removed from his case ever since.

A giggling Underwood first pretended to be someone else when we reached her for comment, but then ’fessed up it was her and wished us a happy holiday before directing us to call her boss, who did not comment.

Rick Ross Shoots Down The Rumors!

I think trolling might been the new news. Why? First of all, Meek and Nicki flash a ring on social media, the media jump up and report. Well, it seems like Rick Ross is doing something similar. Now, I did not see this, but I heard Rick Ross said live on TV that their original break up was a publicity stunt for his new song “Sorry.” He also reportedly said that they are still engaged despite the faux shots on social media. I guess…that’s the game these days, eh?

Chance The Rapper Raises 60,000 in Just 10 Days For Chicago’s Homeless

It has always been an unofficial duty in Hip Hop to give back to the community you came from after you’ve made it big. Chance The Rapper for one has always stayed true to that. This holiday season, although he did not grace us with a follow up to Acid Rap, Chance did launch a charitable project called “Warmest Winter” where he encouraged his fans to donate money to help keep Chicago’s homeless warm in the bitter cold.

The jackets, known as EMPWR coats, are provided by The Empowerment Plan Detriot and have some pretty perfect features for those struggling throughout Chicago’s winter. Each jacket is self heating and water resistant and can also be converted into sleeping bags for the night or a carrying bag for the day.

Chano gave his Twitter followers a preview of what the jackets would look like with a retweet of the image below:

He also took to Twitter to announce the projects quick coming success on Christmas Day.

Find out more about the project here.

Is Meek Mill Planning To Diss Drake On ‘Dreamchasers 4’ Mixtape? (VIDEO/POLL)

(AllHipHop News) The end of 2015 has been a tough time for Meek Mill. The Philadelphia rapper is facing possible jail time for a probation violation, but the legal drama does not seem to be stopping Meek from moving forward with his upcoming Dreamchasers 4 mixtape.

[ALSO READ: Rick Ross Appears To Send Shots At Drake In Defense Of Meek Mill On “Color Money” Song (AUDIO)]

The Maybach Music Groups star released more snippets from the project on Snapchat, and those clips led to online speculation he is about to unleash more lyrics directed at his rival Drake. DJ Akademiks captured some of Meek’s snaps and posted them to social media.

Meek can be heard rapping, “I can’t wait till we run on ya, I’m gonna put a gun on ya,” and “I do not f*ck with these industry n*ggas.” The Akademiks tweets with Meek Mill’s snaps included the social commentator writing, “Meek Mill on that real Philly sh*t… If he run into Drake he planning on erasing all L’s. Pray for Drake n OvO.”

It has been five months since Drake dropped his Grammy nominated diss track “Back To Back” and Meek posted his response record “Wanna Know.” Drake also referenced his feud with Meek on the track “30 For 30 Freestyle” off the What A Time To Be Alive collaborative project with Future. So far, there is no official release date for Meek’s Dreamchasers 4.

Previously, Meek posted some DC4 snippets to Instagram that appeared to be connected to the Drake dispute as well. The September posts featured the “R.I.CO.” rhymer rapping, “I made an M in a week, but they telling me I took an L.”

What do you think about Meek Mill potentially dissing Drake again? Take our poll below.
