Freeway Rick Ross is one one of the most infamous figures in America for his role in the drug trade, but the reformed dealer was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug money over the weekend.
Authorities said on Saturday that the 55-year old had more than $100,000 in cash on him when he was arrested as part of an on-going investigation. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said Ross was also arrested for suspicion of conspiring to commit a crime. The Los Angeles Times reports Ross was arrested in the Emerald Triangle, “a region in northwestern California famous for legal and underground marijuana production.”
At one point, Rick Ross was eventually party to the government’s clandestine plan to push crack into inner city poor people. He was portrayed by Michael K. Williams in the 2014 movie “Kill The Messenger,” which chronicles the real-life saga. His own story was also told in the documentary “Crack In The System.”
Recently, Ross has been mostly known for contributing positively to society as a motivational speaker.
Ross commented on the matter and suggested he again has been targeted by the government.
“To everyone despite what has been said about me in the media this past weekend, I’m okay & this is just another attempt to drag my name through the mud.#TripleOG #crackinthesystem #iamfreewayrickross #iwillbettermypeople #TherealRickRoss #FreewayRickyRoss,” he said.
After releasing his fire mixtape “Black Dollar”, Rick Ross is now focused on his forthcoming album “Black Market” and drops a remix to Post Malone’s “White Iverson” to keep things going. Listen below!!

One cannot deny the incredible talent that Chris Brown possesses. However, Nick Cannon may be off his rocker a little with his Michael Jackson and Tupac, Chris Brown comparisons. Cannon believes that MJ + Pac = Chris Brown. He has come to this conclusion because he feels the level of talent, passion, and artistic ability that Brown possesses makes him a true legend, and he feels that Breezy has been up against so many attacks from the public just like Pac and MJ. What are your thoughts?
Who would have thought that Chance The Rapper likes Ja Rule? Maybe they have the same publicist or maybe he actually likes all those hits with Ashanti and the acting roles in Fast & Furious. Either way the Chi-Town rapper who has blown up in every direction brings out the once widely famous Ja Rule. Def cool to see the new generation paying homage to the older heads. But, is Ja Rule coming back? Does he still have potential for radio hits?

Last week Nelly and one of his former associates, Loose Cannon Slim, got into a heated social media feud that appeared to be over Ashanti and Miss Jackson. It all started when Nelly didn’t take too well to his former associate making Ashanti his #WCW or Ashanti returning the love. Nelly posted a photo with Slim’s baby mama and Slim posted several pics of Miss Jackson including some before surgery pics. Nelly has had it with Slim and now says Miss Jackson is going to sue Slim for posting the photos. Nelly asks how could Slim be so stupid especially after what happen to 50 Cent for posting that sex tape. Slim went in for a while, but he is now crying broke. As if this wasn’t enough, Floyd Mayweather couldn’t resist the petty itch and posted an Instagram post telling people to go follow Loose Cannon Slim. This won’t end well.

Ther ehas been some chatter surrounding the sophomore release of ASAP Ferg’s sophomore project but the details have been scarce. While on the black carpet at the Tidal X: 10/20 concert, he revealed the album’s title, Always Strive and Prosper, which is what ASAP stands for.
“It’s my rags to riches story for those who don’t know where I come from or how I got signed or my story, you’ll find out on this album,” he told Hot 97.
The Trap Lord also teased that there will be some big features on producers on the project as well. During a recent interview, he said he was able to get in the studio with Pharrell.

He changed my life with music because he showed me it was alright to be different, and make the music that you wanted to make.”

“You got to realize that we’re in an environment where people love everything about Black culture except Black people,” Paris matter-of-factly states. After he’s questioned about the white privilege plague that’s infiltrated Hip-Hop’s music and culture, the Bay Area MC shared an entrenched belief. With an unwavering candor that’s as powerful as his latest release, Pistol Politics, this left-coast lyricist then added more of his perspective. He urged, “It’s really on the cultural-gatekeepers, like AllHipHop, to not allow that kind of shine for those who are facsimiles of the truth.”
During this honest exchange between Paris and AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur, icons, MCs, and entertainers were brought up for discussion. The Beastie Boys, Eminem, 3rd Bass, Action Bronson, Iggy Azalea, and Macklemore were mentioned during this probing melding of the minds. “As far as privilege and a lack of respect — I anticipate that — sh*t, there’s a lack of respect from younger black talent toward the OGs,” he eloquently expressed.
View the full video and discover why Paris would rather engage the entire Hip-Hop spectrum rather than verbally attack certain people. Change begins from within, right?

Fetty Wap has been having a lot of relationship drama lately. Just last week his sister and baby mama were involved in a heated social media feud. This week a young lady by the name of Celina is claiming that she is pregnant by Fetty! She claims that she is having Fetty Wap’s love child. She posted a pic of a positive pregnancy text and tagged Fetty in it (the post has since been deleted). The woman stated that she met Fetty after DM’ing his friend Monty. The woman says she ended up in Fetty’s room where he allegedly told her he forgot condoms. She replied telling Fetty that it was okay because she was “clean.” Well now the woman is saying she is pregnant by Fetty, and according to her, Fetty doesn’t want her posting anything until he has a DNA test. It sounds like Fetty may be really worried more about his other baby mamas, girl friend, and trap queens finding out.

Swizz enjoys collecting the works of Brooklyn-based artists like Maya Huyuk, KAWS, art duo FAILE and Swoon. The Harvard scholar helps pub the works of many artists and he said that in return they would put in a good word for him at the Brooklyn Museum.

He recently played a DJ set at the museum for an exhibition for FAILE.
Philanthropist Barbara Vogelstein was also added to the board.
