Did Cardi B Drop An Offset Diss Track Amid Divorce?

A YouTube user attempted to trick fans into thinking Cardi B released an Offset diss track on Thursday (August 1). An AI-created song titled “Tia Kemp (The Divorce Song)” was uploaded by an account called Countless Hits.

The cheap ploy surfaced on YouTube after the public found out Cardi B was divorcing her estranged husband Offset. The Grammy Award-winning rapper also confirmed she is pregnant with her third child.

“With every ending comes a new beginning!” she wrote on Instagram. “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Cardi B previously filed for divorce in 2020. She patched things up with Offset, but cheating allegations plagued their relationship for years.

Earlier this week, Offset denied cheating on his wife with a woman known as Pretty Redz.

“People really need to do the research,” he commented on Instagram. “I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married 8-month pregnant women wtf I look like being outside publicly cheating SMD!!!”

The woman in question refuted the allegations in an Instagram comment of her own.

“SMH that man wasn’t with me,” she wrote. “I was already there wit my husband sister & brother and I’m 7 months pregnant… y’all really have to stop with this type of behavior.”

Cardi B married Offset in 2017. They share two children.

Young Thug Trial: Defense Uncovers “More Rot” In Controversial Case

Young Thug’s RICO trial experienced a new twist when defense attorneys learned of a second secret meeting between Judge Ural Glanville and the prosecution. The case’s former judge and prosecutors disparaged attorney Jonathan Melnick, who represented key witness Kenneth Copeland, in the meeting.

The defense received a transcript of the meeting, which took place in June. Douglas Weinstein, the lawyer of Young Thug’s co-defendant Yak Gotti, sought a mistrial on Wednesday (July 31).

“It is not a fair trial when in an ex parte meeting Glanville, Love, and Hylton assassinate the character of attorney Melnick and attack his integrity, alleging that he is not acting in the best interest of his client, Copeland,” Weinstein argued.

He added, “Every time a piece of pasted-up wallpaper is removed, more rot is found hidden underneath. No herculean effort by the present court can fix the due process violations of the last judge. This house must be torn down. A mistrial should be declared and retrial barred due to prosecutorial and judicial misconduct.”

Judge Glanville was ousted from the trial over another secret meeting with prosecutors. Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel challenged the judge about the first known meeting in June. The courtroom fireworks completely derailed the trial until Judge Glanville’s recusal in July.

Defense attorneys claimed Judge Glanville presumed the guilt of all the defendants in the case. The revelation of a second secret meeting heightened their demands for a mistrial. Judge Paige Reese Whitaker, who took over Young Thug’s trial, understood their concerns.

“The transcript will reflect what was actually said in there,” she said. “And there are some allegations that if I were an attorney and they were levied against me … I would be a little hot under the collar as well.”

Judge Whitaker has yet to rule on Yak Gotti’s motion for mistrial, but she dismissed a motion to dismiss Young Thug’s entire case on Thursday (August 1). She denied Young Thug’s request for bond on Tuesday (July 30).

Dame Dash’s Roc-A-Fella Shares To Hit Auction Block—JAY’Z’s “Reasonable Doubt” Included

Damon Dash is reportedly being forced to sell his share of Roc-A-Fella Records, the company he co-founded with JAY-Z and Kareem Burke.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, one-third of Dash’s shares will be sold by the U.S. Marshal at a public auction on August 29 in Manhattan. Potential bidders will have to register to attend the auction by sending an email to attorney Christopher Brown, the same lawyer who represents director Josh Webber.

Webber, of course, is the person who was awarded more than $800,000 in a civil judgment against Dash for copyright infringement and defamation in 2022 over the film Dear Frank. The purpose of the auction is to satisfy the debt, which will include Dash’s most valuable asset, JAY-Z’s Reasonable Doubt. The bidding will start at $1.2 million and the purchaser must be able to pay a deposit of 20 percent, $240,000, at the time of the sale.

Dame Dash took a massive loss in court in April 2022, when a jury handed down the $805,000 judgement to Webber and Muddy Water Pictures. Shortly after the news broke, Dash shared a screenshot of the TMZ story to his Instagram account and vowed this wasn’t the end of the story.

“You have to lose some battles to win a war…. stay tuned.” he wrote. #fatliars #youllneverbeme. Don’t ever say you Directed MY movie.”

Dame Dash was originally hired to direct the movie in 2016 but ultimately removed from the project after he was deemed unfit for the job. Webber and Muddy Water Pictures claimed he was always high on set while shooting the film on his Sherman Oaks property and decided to finish the film without him.

In 2019, they sued Dash for copyright infringement and defamation, claiming he tried to shop Dear Frank around as his own. They also alleged he sent promotional material to networks such as BET but changed the film’s title to The List. Dame argued they shot the film at his home using all of his equipment, then stole the footage to do the movie on their own.

Brown, who represented the plaintiffs, said at the time, “I will get every penny due to my clients.”

Two years later, JAY-Z and Roc-A-Fella Records’ attorney, Alex Spiro, filed a lawsuit against Dash, accusing him of attempting to auction Reasonable Doubt as an NFT without permission. But Dash refuted the story and insisted he was simply trying to sell his stake in Roc-A-Fella.

The situation intensified in July 2021 after Dash filed a countersuit against JAY-Z and Roc-A-Fella with the New York Supreme Court, alleging JAY-Z wrongfully claiming streaming rights to Reasonable Doubt for himself. The suit claimed JAY-Z transferred streaming rights to the album to S. Carter Enterprises LLC without authorization from Roc-A-Fella.

Dash was seeking a minimum of $1 million in damages over unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty, replevin and conversion. When reached for comment, Spiro called the lawsuit “nothing more than a frivolous stunt,” but Dash and his attorney Natraj Bhushan disagreed.

During a phone interview with journalist Kyle Eustice at the time, Dash said, “From my perspective, it feels like this was all done to devalue this asset. I just don’t understand why. What’s odd is that they knew I was only trying to sell one-third, but they’re trying to say I tried to sell the whole thing. But we all know that that’s not the case, so why do they keep saying it? The question is, why is it such a big deal? Why is everyone so scared for me to sell my one-third?”

Dash also didn’t understand why JAY-Z or Burke didn’t just pick up the phone. He added, “Honestly, I think this is corny. If there’s an issue, just call me. Why do I have to hear it? Why do I have to get sued? Biggs, Jay, call me and tell me what the play is but if you swing on me, I’m going to have to swing back.

“And when I say that, I’m saying now that I’m looking under the hood, it looks crazy, but I just do believe that I don’t need all of this. I’m trying to live my life. I’m the guy that’s always saying this is what they want us to do. They want us culturally to fight each other for them while they watch us and that’s exactly what’s happening.”

Flavor Flav Saves Team USA Again By Paying Olympic Athlete’s Rent

Flavor Flav doubled down on financially supporting Team USA at the 2024 Olympics on Thursday (August 1). The Public Enemy member pledged to cover discus thrower Veronica Fraley’s rent after she revealed her struggles on social media.

“I compete in the Olympic Games TOMORROW and can’t even pay my rent,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “My school only sent about 75% of my rent while they pay football players (who haven’t won anything) enough to buy new cars and houses.”

Fraley’s situation caught Flavor Flav’s attention. He quickly reached out to the Olympian.

“I gotchu,” he wrote. “DM me and I’ll send payment TODAY so you don’t have to worry bout it TOMORROW,,, and imma be rooting for ya tomorrow LETZ GO,!!!”

Flavor Flav wasn’t the only person to step up and help Fraley. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian split the cost of Fraley’s rent with the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer.

“This the power of community,” Flavor Flav wrote. “My girl @vmfraley had 7000 people see her tweet,, only 41 people ‘liked’ it,, only 5 people commented,, only 1 tagged me and @alexisohanian. Now that tweet been seen by 10 MILLION people,, her rent paid off for the year,, and people gots her back!”

Flavor Flav became an unlikely benefactor for U.S. athletes when Olympian Maggie Steffens sought help for the women’s water polo team. The legendary hype man sprang into action, offering to sponsor Steffens and her teammates. He signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the U.S. men’s and women’s water polo teams.

“Supporting USA Water Polo teams is an honor,” Flavor Flav said. “As a girl dad and a champion of all sports, I’m excited to bring my energy and voice to this incredible sport. Niche sports often don’t get the spotlight they deserve, but they are packed with incredible talent and heart. Together, we’re going to make some serious waves!”

Lil Yachty Admits Drake “F###ed” Other Rapper’s Girls—Regrets His Kendrick Lamar Beef Remarks

Lil Yachty has seemingly spilled the tea on why so many rappers apparently hate Drake, and managed to express his regret over the Kendrick Lamar beef in the process.

During his recent interview with actor and comedian Andrew Schulz, Lil Yachty didn’t hold back on his thoughts about the rap game’s apparent disdain for Drake.

According to Yachty, the rumors are true—Drizzy really has “crept down the block” and pulled up on several artist’s significant others. However, Yachty claims most of the animosity toward Drake is rooted in the rapper’s unparalleled success and personal conquests.

“I think people just hate on Drake because he’s the guy,” Lill Yachty said candidly. “It’s also probably that he’s f##### everyone’s b####.”

The Atlanta rapper followed up by emphasizing Drake’s dominance in the music industry, with his record-breaking numbers and countless hits, is also a major factor behind the envy.

“It’s also just he’s that guy though,” he said. “All the records. All the numbers. He’s the one.”

The revelation comes as no surprise to those familiar with Lil Yachty’s previous remarks on the subject. Yachty has often defended Drake, notably during the height of the Toronto native’s publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar. In May, Yachty voiced his support for Drake, suggesting that he hadn’t lost the battle, but rather became an easy target for negativity generated through public opinion.

“Drake dropped great records,” he said during his podcast in May. “But also, let’s be fair: Drake was deemed a loser in this battle before it started because people don’t like him and haven’t. I don’t think people are gonna stop listening to Drake and Drake’s career is gonna flush.”

Fast forward to the present and Lil Yachty expressed deep regret for his remarks during the battle.

“I just wish I had never spoke on it,” he said. “That’s the only thing. That was the only part. I wish I hadn’t said anything about it.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Yachty expressed the incident when the internet reacted to an accidental like on a controversial tweet about Kendrick Lamar. While he maintains the occurrence was truly an accident, he explains still feeling the pressure from the internet looming over him.

“It was a tweet,” he started off. “Something about Kendrick, something. Kendrick cheating on his wife with white women. really did accidentally like it. People were like, ‘Nah, don’t, don’t f###ing, don’t try to come f###ing…Peter was like, ‘Nah n###a, he finna get you’. And it was f###ing hilarious. But nah.”

50 Cent Says His Streaming Channel Will Have “Quality” Unlike Tubi

50 Cent partnered with Lionsgate to create his own free, ad-supported streaming television channel. The two sides announced the impending launch of 50 Cent Action, a FAST channel featuring his Power franchise and various action films.

“50 Cent’s movies and television series are synonymous with non-stop action, and we’re thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership into the FAST space,” Lionsgate President of Worldwide Television Distribution Jim Packer said. “Drawing from one of the biggest action libraries in the world, this channel will give 50’s global fan base a deep slate of action movies and television series while expanding his reach to new audiences worldwide.”

50 Cent called his FAST channel “a natural extension” of his work at G-Unit Film and Television. He said it will display his “passion for storytelling” and provide “a platform for fresh, dynamic voices.”

The rapper-turned-TV mogul vowed to deliver original content and curate action films from Lionsgate’s library. He also took a shot at the ad-supported streaming service Tubi, saying his channel will have better quality control. Tubi developed a reputation as the home of cheaply made movies geared toward Black viewers.

“There’s going to be new content in there, but I got access to a huge library of action films,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s got to be premium. I don’t want to see me like I see my people on Tubi. I’ll make sure the quality of everything is there. The platform has to be able to fit my original material. So you’ll see the Power series — those universes will be there. BMF now has spinoff shows coming. Give me one year and I’ll be ranked the highest FAST channel.”

50 Cent Action bolsters Lionsgate’s already extensive lineup of FAST channels in the streaming landscape. The company already launched over two dozen channels, including the Nielsen-tracked MovieSphere.

Jack Gore’s Journey from Blade Brown to Hip-Hop Star

In the dynamic world of hip-hop, Jack Gore is making waves by reclaiming his birth name and redefining his musical journey. Formerly known as Blade Brown, Jack is celebrating his rebirth with the release of his new single, “High Life,” and an exciting upcoming video. Jack’s journey is a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of staying true to oneself.

A Blast from the Past: From “Motivate” to “High Life”

Eight years ago, Jack, as Blade Brown, featured alongside Snoop Dogg on LexZ Pryde’s track “Motivate.” The song’s inspiring message, promoting mental and physical fitness to overcome life’s challenges, resonated with over a million viewers. Now, with “High Life,” Jack is revisiting the roots of hip-hop, infusing it with his unique style and perspective.

The Magic of Collaboration: Jack and Ricco Barrino

“High Life” emerged from a spontaneous and natural collaboration between Jack and R&B icon Ricco Barrino. Their chemistry in the studio was undeniable, leading to a track that captures the essence of authentic musical creation. A second single, “The One,” is set to release this summer, followed by an eight-song EP featuring more collaborations with Ricco.

From South Carolina Roots to National Tours

Born in South Carolina, Jack’s musical journey began in church, singing alongside his cousin, Grammy-nominated gospel singer Travis Greene. This early exposure to gospel rap laid the foundation for Jack’s musical career. Over the years, Jack has built a network of influential connections, from legendary producer A.B. Money to Nick Price of Kulture Media Group in NYC.

Rising Star: Performances and Promotions

Jack’s career took a significant leap when he started promoting shows in the Carolinas, performing at major venues like the House of Blues. His band’s popularity made them the default opening act, creating valuable connections and early success. One of the standout tracks on his new EP, “Carolina Anthem,” pays homage to his home state and features collaborations with Petey Pablo, Lil Ru, and Ricco Barrino.

Values-Driven Music

As a father of four, Jack ensures his lyrics align with his values. He creates music he would be proud to share with his children and mother, who raised him as a devout Christian. Inspired by gospel and old-school hip-hop, Jack’s influences include Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie, and Eminem. His lyrical prowess and performance skills have been showcased on tours with Snoop Dogg & Friends in California.

Overcoming Challenges: A Story of Resilience

Jack’s journey has not been without obstacles. He faced the loss of his clubs and restaurant due to Covid, and in late 2013, an attempted robbery at his salon and clothing store left him unable to walk for nearly two years. Despite these challenges, Jack’s determination and passion for music never wavered.

A Multifaceted Entrepreneur

Beyond music, Jack’s entrepreneurial spirit has led him to success in various ventures, including club and restaurant ownership, a beauty salon, a clothing store, and real estate. His business acumen is as impressive as his musical talent, making him a true “Jack of All Trades.”

The Future: Tours and New Releases

With tour plans for Miami, Atlanta, and NYC, and more dates to be announced, Jack is ready to take his music to new heights. The release of “High Life” and the upcoming EP promise to captivate fans, old and new, showcasing Jack’s growth and evolution as an artist.

Jack Gore’s journey is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the transformative power of music. Follow him on Instagram at @iamjackgore to stay updated on his latest releases and tour dates.

Cardi B Confirms Pregnancy Amid Divorce From Offset: “A New Beginning”

Cardi B announced her third pregnancy on Thursday (August 1). The Atlantic Records artist revealed she’s expecting another child after her rep told Page Six she’s divorcing Offset.

“With every ending comes a new beginning!” she wrote on Instagram. “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”

She continued, “I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Pregnancy rumors started swirling around Cardi B over the past two months. She confirmed the speculation once she reached a breaking point in her relationship with Offset.

Cardi B married her estranged husband Offset in 2017. The two share two children with a third on the way.

The couple’s relationship has been turbulent with frequent chatter of Offset cheating on Cardi B. She previously filed for divorce in 2020.

Cardi B didn’t follow through on the first divorce attempt as the case was quickly dismissed. More problems emerged in subsequent years, leading to a split in late 2023.

“You know when you just outgrow relationships,” Cardi B wrote in December 2023. “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!”

Cardi B and Offset tried to save their marriage, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

“They’ve grown apart,” an insider told Page Six. “That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do.”

Offset hasn’t publicly commented on the divorce or Cardi B’s pregnancy. Earlier this week, he denied a cheating rumor.

Most Exciting Hip Hop Projects of 2024 (So Far)

The year has crossed the halfway mark, and rappers young and old(er) have blessed us with some standout albums. Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi, two artists who might be considered part of the old guard, are still finding new ways to express themselves. Here are two of the most exciting projects of 2024 so far.

Lupe Fiasco – Samurai

Watching the Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, Lupe Fiasco was struck with inspiration. Winehouse told her producer about the battle raps she was writing. “They’re just pouring out of me, like Wu-Tang stuff. But really neat, very beautifully alliterated little battle raps. So next time you wanna come for me and have a battle rap-off, I’m gonna kill you. Because I’m a samurai.”

Even with Wu-Tang Clan having established martial arts in hip-hop, and battle rapping always being popular, that quote might seem like an odd starting point for an album. The chorus of the title track would seem just as odd if you read the lyrics without being aware of Winehouse’s quote. Somehow, Lupe makes the words flow beautifully, twisting the sounds of “these” and “neat”, and stretching the “ay” sound in “alliterated”.

Samurai is a loose concept album in which Lupe narrates a rapper writing battle raps, the mentality of trying to be the best (‘No. 1 Headband’) and the responsibility and unmet expectations of rap stars (‘Bigfoot’).

Long-time producer Sountrakk provides Lupe with delicate touches of horns, synths and natural-sounding drums. Those drums provide a solid foundation as Lupe drifts off-beat (as on ‘Bigfoot’), and on other tracks like ‘Cake’ their faster tempos match angrier and more urgent lyrics.

‘Cake’ is chockfull of internal rhymes, references to popular culture, and alliteration that might have made Winehouse proud. As megacritic Anthony Fantano said, “[Lupe’s] really a dying breed kind of rap artist who reminds you of the level of pen game you used to hear on a regular basis during the genre’s golden age.”

Kid Cudi – INSANO (NITRO MEGA)

INSANO features plenty of Cudi’s intriguing and downright weird rapping and singing style. The groans of ‘BABE AND I’ recall his best singing on KIDS SEE GHOSTS, the much-loved collab project with Kanye West. Cudi’s vocal innovation hasn’t always been matched by his beats, and that’s mostly true for this album, but occasionally manic synths, industrial-sounding groans and touches of drum ‘n’ bass add extra intrigue. Still, they’re mostly supportive elements for Cudi’s bizarre vocals full of pitch-bends and decorative hums and murmurs.

Listening to Kid Cudi is often an unpredictable experience. It’s like dealing a deck of cards, except, instead of aiming for a full house or a 21 in blackjack, you’re just letting them fall where they like and creating some narrative from the result. Some rappers’ annunciation is off the charts – each syllable perfectly detectable, even when they’re going at 100 kph. Kid Cudi’s annunciation? “Sloppy,” his schoolteachers might have said. The hook on ‘MOON MAN S###’ is barely detectable unless you’ve read the title first. Somehow, Cudi makes a sloppy sound like the coolest thing you’ve heard all day.

Listen to the first verse of ‘EVERYBODY LIKE’: “They love to love him some more, caught up in that groove / It’s the Rager supreme, now here’s a shovel. Can you dig it?” Cudi’s so laid back he sounds like he was barely able to stand up at the height of the microphone. Maybe he wasn’t – it’s easier to imagine him recording this with his feet up on the couch.

For much of the album Cudi is similarly chilled out, but guests like Chip Tha Rapper inject some energy. Cudi’s own verses sometimes have more bite, as on ‘DOSE OF DOPENESS (2007)’, where he pairs crisply delivered internal rhymes with a staccato beat.

The quickly strummed guitar and drama of ‘ALL MY LIFE’ sound like a final jam, but there are three more songs. INSANO is one of the year’s lengthier releases at just under an hour, with Cudi ignoring the trend of tight, half-hour projects. It’s fortunate, then, that the actual closer ‘SUPERBOY’ is a similarly moody and fitting finale.

Cardi B Reportedly Divorcing Offset Amid Cheating & Pregnancy Rumors

Cardi B has reportedly filed for divorce from Offset amid months of rumors about the couple.

On Wednesday (July 31), a rep for the NYC rapper told Page Six the tipping point came after the latest infidelity rumors. Earlier this week, Offset denied cheating after a blog reported he was spotted at a casino with an alleged “ex-boo.”

Although he insisted nothing was going on, with the woman backing him up, the insider claimed Cardi has had enough.

“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the source said. “This is something she wants to do.”

The outlet reports Cardi B is focused on “obtaining primary custody” of their kids. The couple are parents to daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus and son Wave Set Cephus. Speculation that Cardi B is pregnant with their third child intensified just hours before news of the divorce broke.

Earlier on Wednesday, TMZ reported the rapper went to great lengths to cover up during an outing in New York. Cardi was partially hidden by staff holding umbrellas but appeared to have a prominent bump.

Cardi B & Offset Divorce “Unavoidable”

The Grammy Award winner has taken to wearing voluminous outfits or covering her midsection with large bags in recent months. She even appeared to deny the rumors last month.

The source told Page Six that Cardi B and Offset have “been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now,” adding, “It’s not something that happened overnight.”

They added, “They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger overtime. It’s become unavoidable,” the insider added.”

Rumors that Offset is cheating on Cardi B have swirled since the start of their marriage in 2017. They announced a split at the end of last year after the “Wanna Be” hitmaker unleashed on her husband in an emotional tirade, accusing him of doing her “dirty” for years.

Nonetheless, the couple appeared to have reconciled and were spotted on several dates in recent months.

50 Cent Opens Up About Diddy Docuseries, Claims Associates Scared To Speak Out

50 Cent is opening up on his beef with Diddy and his plans for a docuseries covering the multiple allegations of sexual assault, trafficking and other misdeeds associated with the fallen Hip-Hop mogul.

During a cover story for The Hollywood Reporter, the G-Unit boss said he stayed away from anything concerning Diddy over the years because of the “uncomfortable energy” surrounding him.

He also insisted they were not friends – “It was mostly work” and he would avoid his calls. “I didn’t ever party or hang out with him,” 50 Cent said of Diddy. “Puff is a businessperson”

50 Cent has been a thorn in Diddy’s side since long before the slew of recent lawsuits. He explained that he’s making a docuseries on the disgraced mogul because “I’m the only one from hip-hop culture that’s produced quality projects.”

50 Cent On Diddy’s Associates’ Silence

Elsewhere in the interview, 50 Cent said he believes some of Diddy’s associates are afraid to speak up because they were complicit in his alleged crimes.

“Some of them were involved, at the parties and enjoyed themselves,” he said. ”They don’t know what the f### is on tape or what’s not on tape, so they’re not going to say anything because they might have had too much fun.”

He also acknowledged that some are just minding their business while others don’t want to be labeled a snitch.

“It’s not uncomfortable for me to say what I said,” Fiddy insisted. “Because I’ve been saying this s### for four years, five years. I been telling you, “I don’t f### with him. I don’t like the way he moving. This is a little crazy.” Everybody else is not going to be as comfortable as I am saying it.”

When asked if he had spoken to Power Book II: Ghost star and close friend of Diddy, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent remarked, “You know what? Mary never reached out to me to tell me to not f### up Puffy, because she knows that he does s###.”

Waka Flocka Flame Throws His Support Behind Donald Trump: ”Still My President”

Waka Flocka Flame is pledging his full support for Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election later this year.

The rapper said he isn’t your typical political advocate, nor does he wear a MAGA hat, but he’s fully behind the former president’s campaign for re-election.

On Wednesday (July 31) Waka Flocka endorsed Donald Trump and explained why the 34-time convicted felon has his support.

“Trump still my president he tweeted. “I don’t have to stand with a red hat or dance or stage for money in my pockets.” He insisted he wasn’t pushed into backing Trump, adding, “This is my choice.”

Waka Flocka believes he should be free to express his political opinions without fear of attack. “Like I choose not to eat pork,” he added. “But do that make me hate pork lovers or disrespect their character.”

Waka continued, “I just want my rights. My freedom, equality, men/women to pay for bad policing, women to have rights and make choices for self, teachers to be paid more, and the list goes on but hey I’m just a lil o entertainer with a micro voice I know no1 is listening.”

Chris Brown $50M Lawsuit: Attorney Accuses Alleged Victims Of “Provoking” Singer In Shakedown

Chris Brown’s attorney claims the men suing his client set him up, branding the lawsuit a shakedown.

Four men are accusing the R&B star of assaulting them backstage at a concert in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday (July 20).  A security guard also filed a $15 million lawsuit for injuries he suffered in the alleged brawl and claimed Brown threw the first punch.

However, Brown’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern, said the men provoked the singer, who was not the aggressor.

“Why were these individuals even backstage anywhere near Chris’ dressing room?” McCathern questioned in a statement obtained by TMZ. “Their sole purpose was to provoke him and his team, and to build a record for a lawsuit.”

The attorney continued, “Most of us are not pop stars, so the only place we have to dress is our home; our personal space. Imagine what reaction YOU would have if someone invaded YOUR personal space with the singular goal of provoking difficulties? Even in this challenging circumstance, Chris never initiated physical contact with anyone.”

McCathern claims one of the plaintiffs, a personal injury attorney, “approached Chris Brown and began provoking a reaction.” He branded the men trouble makers with “a clear agenda,” insisting they “are directly responsible for the situation that ensued.”

McCathern also questioned the speed at which the men filed their lawsuit.

“Chris was unjustly targeted in this incident,” the attorney stated. “These individuals saw him as an opportunity for financial gain and should never have been permitted backstage in the first place. The whole episode was clearly a set up.”

Additionally, the outlet reports Chris Brown’s attorney believes a video of the incident exists which will likely help his defense.

Kamala Harris Responds To Donald Trump’s Remarks About Her Blackness

Kamala Harris has responded to Donald Trump’s claims about her racial identity after he claimed that she suddenly “became a Black person.”

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee called out her political rival for his remarks before the National Association of Black Journalists on Wednesday (July 31).

Harris addressed the crowd at a gathering of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in Houston, claiming Trump’s remarks were divisive and disrespectful.

“It was the same old show,” she said of Trump’s appearance with the NABJ panel. “The divisiveness and the disrespect. And let me just say, the American people deserve better … The American people deserve a leader who tells the truth. A leader who does not respond with hostility and anger when confronted with the facts. We deserve a leader who understands that our differences do not divide us – they are an essential source of our strength.”

Donald Trump Questioned When Kamala Harris “Happened To Turn Black”

During the convention, Trump implied that Harris “could be” a DEI hire, a term that has become a racist dog whistle in right-wing circles.

“I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black,” Trump said of Harris. “And now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don’t know. Is she Indian or is she Black? I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t because she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden, she made a turn. She became a Black person. I think somebody should look into that.”

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre slammed Trump’s remarks.

“As a person of color, as a Black woman who is in this position,” she explained, “What he just said, what you just read out to me is repulsive. It’s insulting.”

Additionally, the Harris campaign issued a statement on Trump’s comments and urged him to “stop playing games” and show up to debate on September 10.

“Today’s tirade is simply a taste of the chaos and division that has been a hallmark of Trump’s MAGA rallies this entire campaign,” the statement read in part. “It’s also exactly what the American people will see from across the debate stage as Vice President Harris offers a vision of opportunity and freedom for all Americans.”

Hip Hop Soundtracks that Defined Gaming Eras

When we think about the most iconic gaming moments, it’s not just the graphics or gameplay that come to mind. It’s the soundtracks that have left an indelible mark on our memories. As someone who’s ever enjoyed the adrenaline rush of a high-stakes mission in GTA or the electrifying slam dunks in NBA 2K, you know that the right music can make all the difference.

Hip hop’s pulsating beats and powerful lyrics have done more than just entertain us; they’ve transformed our gaming experiences. Just like when you play blackjack and the tension rises with each card, hip-hop tracks have elevated our in-game intensity and immersion.

The Rise of Hip Hop in Gaming

The Early Days: Setting the Scene

In the early days of gaming, music was often an afterthought. The focus was primarily on gameplay mechanics and graphics. However, as gaming technology advanced, developers began to realize the potential of music to enhance the gaming experience. The introduction of CD-quality audio in games allowed for more diverse and high-quality soundtracks, paving the way for hip-hop to make its grand entrance.

Grand Theft Auto: A Game-Changer

When Rockstar Games released “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” in 2004, it was a pivotal moment for both the gaming and music industries. The game’s soundtrack featured a curated selection of hip-hop tracks from the early ’90s, transporting players into the heart of the West Coast rap scene. Tracks like “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang” by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, and “I Got 5 on It” by Luniz, not only added authenticity to the game’s setting but also introduced a whole new generation to the golden era of hip hop.

NBA 2K: The Evolution of a Soundtrack

Building the Perfect Playlist

The NBA 2K series has become synonymous with stellar soundtracks. Every year, 2K Sports collaborates with top artists to create a playlist that reflects the current music scene while paying homage to the roots of hip-hop. From Kendrick Lamar to Drake, the series has consistently featured tracks that get players hyped up for a game of virtual basketball.

The Influence of Culture

The NBA 2K soundtracks do more than just provide background music; they shape the culture of the game. The inclusion of hip-hop tracks reflects the close relationship between basketball and rap music. Both have roots in urban culture and share themes of struggle, triumph, and self-expression. As you navigate your MyPlayer through the highs and lows of an NBA career, the music serves as a powerful reminder of these shared stories.

Def Jam Vendetta: A Hip Hop Brawler

A Fusion of Music and Combat

“Def Jam Vendetta” and its sequels took the concept of hip-hop in gaming to another level. These fighting games, developed by EA Sports, featured real-life rappers as playable characters, complete with their signature moves and styles. The soundtracks, filled with tracks from artists like DMX, Method Man, and Redman, provided the perfect backdrop for the gritty, street-style combat.

Bringing the Hip-Hop Community Together

These games were more than just fun; they were a celebration of the hip-hop community. By featuring actual artists and their music, “Def Jam Vendetta” brought the culture of hip-hop into the gaming world in a way that had never been done before. It wasn’t just about the music; it was about the lifestyle and the community that hip-hop represents.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater: Skating to a New Beat

Mixing Genres

While primarily known for its punk and rock tracks, the “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater” series also incorporated hip-hop into its soundtracks, creating a diverse musical experience. Tracks like “B-Boy Document ’99” by The High & Mighty and “Out with the Old” by Alley Life introduced skaters to the world of hip-hop.

A Cultural Crossover

The inclusion of hip-hop in “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater” was significant because it represented a cultural crossover. Skateboarding and hip hop, both born out of urban environments, share a rebellious spirit and a DIY ethos. By blending these genres, the game highlighted the interconnectedness of these cultures and expanded its appeal to a broader audience.

Need for Speed: Racing to the Beat

The Thrill of the Race

The “Need for Speed” series is known for its high-octane racing action and adrenaline-pumping soundtracks. Hip-hop tracks have always been a staple of the series, providing the perfect accompaniment to high-speed chases and heart-pounding races. Songs like “Get Low” by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz and “Riders on the Storm” by Snoop Dogg feat. The Doors have become synonymous with the thrill of the race.

Setting the Pace

The inclusion of hip-hop in racing games like “Need for Speed” is more than just about creating a cool vibe; it’s about setting the pace. The beats and rhythms of hip-hop tracks mirror the fast-paced, high-energy nature of racing, making the experience more immersive and exciting. When you’re tearing down the highway at breakneck speeds, the right track can make you feel invincible.

Hip Hop’s Lasting Impact on Gaming

A Soundtrack for Every Era

Hip-hop has not only defined specific games but has also left a lasting impact on the gaming industry as a whole. From the early days of “GTA: San Andreas” to the latest releases of “NBA 2K,” hip-hop soundtracks have become an integral part of the gaming experience. These tracks don’t just add to the atmosphere; they help to define the era in which the games are set.

The Future of Gaming and Hip-Hop

As we look to the future, it’s clear that hip-hop will continue to play a significant role in gaming. With the rise of virtual reality and more immersive gaming experiences, the integration of music will only become more important.

Imagine exploring a virtual city with a custom hip-hop soundtrack that reacts to your every move, or competing in an eSports tournament with live performances from your favorite artists. The possibilities are endless, and the future of gaming and hip-hop looks brighter than ever.

The Beat Goes On: Celebrating the Legacy of Hip Hop in Gaming

Hip-hop soundtracks have done more than just define gaming eras; they’ve enriched our experiences, introduced us to new cultures, and brought us closer to the games we love. Whether you’re reminiscing about the days of “GTA: San Andreas” or getting hyped for a new season of “NBA 2K,” the impact of hip-hop on gaming is undeniable.

So next time you fire up your favorite game, take a moment to appreciate the beats that make it all possible. The world of gaming wouldn’t be the same without the powerful influence of hip-hop.

Kelsey Harris Seemingly Responds To Joe Budden’s Claims Megan The Stallion Was Shot With Her Gun

Megan Thee Stallion’s former friend Kelsey Harris is maintaining her innocence as a statement from Tory Lanez’s driver has stirred up conversation surrounding the 2020 shooting.

Earlier this week, Joe Budden discussed the latest developments in the case after Lanez’s legal team submitted an affidavit from his driver, Jauquan Smith, who claimed he witnessed the shooting but said the prosecution stopped him from testifying in the 2022 trial.

In his statement, Smith claimed he saw Harris holding a gun during an altercation with Megan. He claimed Lanez attempted to disarm Harris but said he did not see who shot Megan.

According to Joe Budden, who discussed the recent developments during the latest episode of his podcast, everybody present during the shooting “has reason to lie.” However, he was adamant that the gun belonged to Kelsey Harris.

He questioned whether Tory Lanez “was so angered in that car that he took Kelsey’s gun and shot her.” Budden claimed, “some people know whose gun it was … we know who’s gun that was. So he took her gun and shot her why? Why was he so mad?”

Joe Budden Claims Tory Lanez Was Set Up

Budden questioned why Lanez would shoot Megan and whether it was more likely Harris fired the gun. He also believes Lanez was set up but not by Megan Thee Stallion.

“First of all, I think it’s above her,” he explained. “I don’t think she made it up. It’s above her. She’s a mere pawn in this. This play is greater than her. She didn’t make nothing up.”

He continued, “N##### out there know who it is. I ain’t saying it on this broadcast but I know exactly who it is, I know how that gun got there, I know who gun it was.”

Budden then mentioned Kelsey Harris, claiming she reached out to him.

“I thought it was weird that the last time we talked about this s###, Kelsey jumped in my DMs talking ’bout, ‘Hey, don’t talk about this no more.’ Why? You got immunity. That’s odd.”

On Wednesday evening (July 31), Harris took to x (Twitter), seemingly responding to Joe Budden.

“It’s easy to get lost in the media,” she wrote. “But let’s remember MY NAME was cleared by both parties involved. Stay tuned.”
