It looks like Rick Ross is down to produce a new album for Nas! Blogger Lindsey India wrote that while attending Wingstop event in New York City, she asked Rozay if he would executive produce a Nas album.
“You know, Nas is so great as an MC. He’s a legend. So I wouldn’t even play with that, because of course you know Rozay will f-cking do it! You know I would love to do it, but more importantly, the way Nas moves is so calculated. I feel like everything he does is perfect timing. He’s a legend, and I would love to. You know it’s whatever for the big homie,” said Ross.
Rozay seems to have an ear for good beats so perhaps this could be a great collaboration between him and Nas.Their collaborations have proven to be pretty solid. The two teaming up for Nas’ album would certainly guarantee varied sounds for the project. What are your thoughts? Would you be here for Rick Ross producing Nas’ album?

It was a crazy period when Ja Rule & 50 Cent had their beef and when Murder Inc had their federal indictment. Some felt like Ja Rule’s time and opportunity got cut short with the feud with 50 and the fed problems. DJ Vlad sat down with Chris Gotti recently to talk about Ja Rule’s successful run and how it’s hard to believe the hate Ja received when artists like Drake and Fetty Wap have gained so much success using Ja’s sing-rap formula.
Chris Gotti says he really wishes that Ja would put our new music because he is still so different, as he has his own sound. Chris Gotti says Fetty proves how wrong people were about Ja Rule. Crazy to think right? What are your thoughts?
Trap legends Migos bring it with their first single “Say Sum” from their yet to be release sophomore album No Label 3. This video was shot and directed by Gabriel Hart in the Dominican Republic.
(AllHipHop News) Earlier this week, Ice-T and Mickey Benston revealed the lineup for their “The Art of Rap Festival,” which is slated to begin this July in Dallas, Texas.
It seems that fans welcomed everyone on the bill, which includes Public Enemy, Mobb Deep, The Sugarhill Gang, Naughty By Nature, Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Melle Mel and Scorpio (from The Furious 5), Ice-T and EPMD, amongst others.
The inclusion of The Sugarhill Gang has raised some concerns from possible concertgoers, thanks to years of imposters using the name as well as legal wrangling over the usage in court.
The group has come to a legal agreement and has the rights to the name again according to founding member Master G the feud is over.
“What needed to be done was done. Yes we are the original group that performed recorded and wrote the songs that made our group famous” Master G. told AllHipHop.com. “And with respect we are the one and only Sugarhill Gang.
According to “The Art of Rap Festival” creator Mickey Benston, it is really the original surviving members of the seminal group The Sugarhill Gang: Wonder Mike and Master G.
“This is the original group called the Sugarhill Gang With Wonder Mike And Master G,” “The Art of Rap” Founder Mick Benston told AllHipHop.com. “R.I.P Big Bank Hank. He is the only member not on stage. He is replaced with HEN DOG. And yes, there once was a group out before using the name. Now come see the group that was on the original recording ‘Rapper’s Delight.’. The real Sugarhill gang.”
Prior to his passing in July of 2015 at the age of 53, Sugarhill Records owner Joey Robinson Jr. had been adopting the name and touring as The Sugarhill Gang, with a revolving cast of characters.
The dispute over “Sugarhill” name was even the subject of the 2011 documentary “I Want My Name Back.”
But the new CEO of Sugarhill Records Mr. Leland Robinson also confirmed the dispute is over.
“With the passing of one of my friends big Bank Hank I made up my mind to respectfully work with the original Sugarhill Gang, Wonder Mike and Master G. “Because in my heart that was the best thing for me to do the original Sugarhill Gang. [They are] back and using their name.”
Because of the past controversy, “The Art of Rap Festival,” Co-Founder Ice-T reassured anyone buying tickets that they would see no less than the first rappers who took Hip-Hop into the mainstream in 1979 with “Rapper’s Delight.”
“I would not have it any other way without the original Sugarhill Gang,” Ice-T told AllHipHop.com. “Wonder Mike And Master Gee with their new edition, Hen Dog.”
“The Art of Rap Festival,” which was created Mickey Bentson of Pay Up Management, is sponsored by SiriusXM and its “Backspin” Hip-Hop channel.

The 23-year-old indie artist added, “So if this is their first time listening then they went back? There’s a lot of growth. They’d be like, ‘Okay, he was dope even back then.’ But there’s like no comparing it to Acid Rap. It’s like worlds better than all of my former work.”

(AllHipHop News) Gunplay has a lot to say about President Barack Obama. During an interview with DJ Smallz, the Maybach Music Group representative criticized the POTUS for allegedly pushing a globalist agenda.
“[Obama] got bin laden. Gas [prices] went down. A few things he did that was on the surface looks real good. I commend him for that. Great. Right on brother,” said Gunplay. “But behind the scenes, what he’s been doing is the continuation of a New World Order. The Bushes and everybody else started to put the New World Order in place, behind the scenes he’s making sure that it happens.”
The phrase New World Order often refers to the conspiracy theory that global leaders are working to institute a totalitarian world government. There are also some theorists that connect the NWO to “secret societies” such as the Freemasons and the Illuminati as well as occultism and witchcraft.
Gunplay also claimed Obamacare users that do not accept a microchip being planted in their body will be killed by guillotine. He did not provide evidence of this supposed section in the Affordable Care Act.
“Obama is starting to look like a modern-day Hitler,” declared Gunplay. “He’s a dictator. He’s not a president.”
In addition, the “Krazy” rapper argued that a “One World Religion” is being established with the help of the Pope and the U.S. President. While the Carol City native bashed Obama for supposedly pushing the New World Order, he told AllHipHop.com in 2014 that he admired the Bilderburg Group, another elitist organization conspiracy theorists link to the so-called worldwide authoritarian movement.
“I feel like the Bilderberg Group is higher than the Mafia or any government body. You don’t get no higher than the Bilderberg Group,” stated Gunplay at the time. “They run the world, and I look up to them. I was always taught to emulate the great. I think they’re great and I want to emulate them.”

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop producer Lex Luger is being sued. A law enforcement officer in Virginia is seeking $1.1 million from the Suffolk native for assault & battery and negligence.
The Virginian Pilot reports an unnamed Chesapeake sheriff’s deputy is suing Luger for a knee injury.
The deputy claims he was wounded while attempting to serve a temporary detention order to Lewis. The order is often used by family members to get officials to take a relative into custody for a mental health evaluation.
The deputy was reportedly transporting Luger from the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center to an unspecified medical facility in Virginia Beach last November.
According to the lawsuit, Luger attempted to escape the vehicle which caused the deputy’s injuries.
“He wasn’t mentally stable at the time, so how can you hold him accountable when something goes wrong,” said Debra Antney, Luger’s supposed manager.
The plaintiff’s attorney, Jeffrey Brooke, has stated that the deputy suffered torn ligaments, had to undergo surgery, and miss more than five months of work. A knee replacement surgery may also be necessary in the future.
Luger is being sued for $750,000 in compensatory damages, $350,000 in punitive damages, plus interest and legal fees.
If the deputy wins the case, the 53-year-old retired Marine will be forced to return money he received for medical bills and disability pay from his worker’s compensation claim.
Lex Luger is best known for producing the hit songs “Hard In Da Paint” by Waka Flocka Flame, “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” by Rick Ross, and “H•A•M” by Jay Z & Kanye West. He recently provided the tracks for Wiz Khalifa’s “Bake Sale” and A$AP Ferg’s “Let It Bang.”
(AllHipHop News) Aspiring rapper Safaree Samuels is suggesting he could be in danger.
The ex-boyfriend of Nicki Minaj posted a tweet last night where he claimed someone has put a hit on his life.
“Got a call from prison… Hearing there’s BIG money on my head…streets talk…. Small world… #darksideofthemusicbiz,” wrote Safaree.
The Brooklyn native has been in a longtime public and legal battle with Minaj.
At the moment, there is no evidence a contract has been placed on Safaree’s head or that Nicki is involved in any alleged murder-for-hire plot.

(AllHipHop News) School Boy Q is back with “THat Part,” his new song that features Kanye West.
The song extols the virtues of focused efforts, quality women, money and other worldly matters.
Kanye jumps on and says, “N***a with an attitude / I feel like O’Shea / Walking living legend / I feel like Kobe / I just let the strip club / Got some glitter on me / Wife gonna kill me / She the female OJ.”
The song has been getting a myriad of reactions from fans that love the song to those that wished it was presented differently lyrically.
I know MFers are about to scream, “This ain’t Hip-Hop, YO! Yall wack af! And I’ma stop following ya rn!” Man, f*ck that! This woman is Kanye West’s damn aunt – right now. And that makes it Hip-Hop related! According to a new, upcoming book on The Kardashian Klan, Caitlyn Jenner is not looking to stay a woman. In rumor, he will de-transition back into a stud again. Ian Halperin, author of “Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America’s Royal Family,” has gone on record with The Wrap to drop the bomb. Apparently, multiple sources Caitlyn is miserable as a woman and MIGHT go back to Bruce. Jenner’s rep reportedly said this notion was “idiotic” and FALSE. Caitlyn is now 66. I’m thinking this surgury stuff is going to take a toll on his body. Ian Halperin said the Bruce side of Caityn still wants women and wants to meet the “right woman.” I thought he could and desired to do that as Caitlyn too. Allegedly.
Anyway. This is all conjecture until something really happens and dude just got several plugs for his new book.
Apologies for the drivel.
Now Kodak Black is a character, but many were left trying to figure out why in the world Kodak Black would be in Dr. Miami’s office. Dr. Miami is known for transforming the bodies of your favorite Instagram thots models! Dr. Miami does a mean boob job and butt lift. Despite the fact that Dr. Miami interviewed Kodak for his new show, we have to wonder did Kodak end up getting any kind of procedure done, and if so, what kind? LOL. Kodak just had to put the ring back over the glove huh?

(AllHipHop News) Should the Internet prepare to create more classic memes of Drizzy Drake? When the Young Money rapper dropped the visuals for his smash “Hotline Bling” last year, spoofs of the clip took over social media. Drake has now revealed on Instagram that he is currently filming a new music video.
The IG photo was actually a celebration of the Toronto Raptors taking a 2-1 series lead against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Drake also used the moment to let it out that a vid for his #1 hit “One Dance” is on the way.
“On set for ‘One Dance’ and it’s killing me that I am missing these games!!!” wrote Drake in the caption.
(AlllHipHop News) Rapper Azealia Banks has been suspended from Twitter and dropped as a headliner of a London festival following her racist attack on Zayn Malik and critique of U.K. music.
The “212” singer courted controversy on Wednesday (May 11) when she took aim at the former One Direction star’s Pakistani heritage during a vicious Twitter tirade against him, in which she claimed he stole her “Yung Rapunxel” video concept for his promo “Like I Would.”
She then launched into a separate rant about the quality of rap music in the U.K, writing: “The UK really can’t rap though. UK RAP is just a disgrace to rap culture in general… Rap/Hip-Hop culture is AMERICAN in its PUREST form (sic)… UK rappers NEVER have swag. It’s ALWAYS FORCED.”

When Azealia’s fans warned her to cancel her set at Rinse FM’s Born & Bred Festival in Hackney, East London for her own safety after the music criticism, she hinted she would be bringing a gun with her for protection, by writing, “Girl, I have armed security ! I’m an American girl! I exercise my 2nd amendment rights EVERYWHERE I go !!”
The Second Amendment refers to the right of people to keep and bear arms.
Hours later, organizers of the festival announced on Twitter they had decided to cancel the rapper’s appearance. They wrote, “Rinse/Born & Bred Festival is a celebration of rave culture and have been created for EVERYONE. We celebrate inclusivity and equality.”
Azealia, 24, didn’t seem fazed by the cancellation and retweeted the announcement, adding, “Most of the people coming to this on my day were only coming for me,” following by a crying with laughter emjoi and U.S. flag emoji. “To all of my Darling UK fans who bought tickets to see me at the Rinse FM show. My sincerest apologies!!!!!.. But you know Mama Puma always goes in for the Kill. And NEVER backs down.”
However, that didn’t stop her arguing with users on Twitter about U.S. vs. U.K. music, writing responses such as, “Which is why a U.S. rapper has been asked to headline ur grimey grime festival? Haha, enjoy the rain! (sic)”
Festival organizers are currently trying to find a replacement headliner.

With yesterday’s installment of “Empire” season 2 episode 17 on Fox – it had been ominously foretold in just about every Fox promo leading up to the airing of this episode that “one Lyon would fall,” but seriously, some honest to goodness fear has been struck into the hearts of many a loyal fan when it comes to what may or not be “mortally” permanent when the all the dust settles and “Empire” season two is one for the record books, shuttered up tight over the summer to prep for a brand new “Empire” season three. So hold on to your hats and be warned by this *** spoiler alert*** that if you don’t want to know, you need to stop reading now:
Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) gets scooped up by the Feds via Cookie Lyon’s (Taraji P. Henson) pal from around the way, Tariq (Morocco Omari). Last week, ‘Tariq The Freak’ from the old neighborhood where Cookie and her sister Carol (Tasha Smith) grew up suddenly materialized on the current Lyon scene, trying to cuddle up with Carol in order to get dirt for the Feds on Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard). In yesterday’s episode, neither Lucious or Cookie were buying Tariq’s love song for a crackhead, and Cookie gave Tariq the news in no uncertain terms at Laviticus regarding her addict sister, causing Carol to relapse and show up drunk at the ASA Awards. Tariq, not to be deterred by any of that ASA drama sets his sights on another weak link in the chain by detaining Anika at Federal headquarters.
Lucious’ Mama, Leah Walker (Leslie Uggams) starts scheming hard to reveal herself to the world at large as Lucious Lyon’s mother who is still alive and kicking. Never one to be above a good slow burn, Leah is incensed when she sees Lucious’ video on television showing her abusing Lucious as a young woman and then taking her own life. When Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) tries to tell her that it would hurt the family for her to go public, Leah swears that she would never betray Lucious or the rest of the family in this way. However, when things take a dramatic turn at the ASA Awards, Leah maneuvers herself into the center of a hungry knot of paparazzi and while she refrains from telling them exactly who she is, she reveals that she is indeed a part of the Lyon family.
Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) Shoots Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) at The ASA Awards when Jamal jumps in front of the bullet meant for Lucious as a means of revenge by Freda for the death of her own father, crime lord Frank Gathers (Chris Rock). In what was a shocking twist, Freda is forced to put it all together when a drunk and embittered Carol accosts Freda on the red carpet and reveals that it was none other than Lucious Lyon himself that killed the notorious gangster Frank Gathers, aka Freda Gatz’s dad. In a fit of passion, Freda rips a gun from the holster of a member of the ASA’s security detail and aims for Lucious’ back as he is turned away, addressing the press and photographers with Cookie. Jamal, seeing what Freda is about to do and knowing why thanks to a recent and very candid conversation with Cookie, jumps directly in front of the bullet, saving Lucious’ life but also possibly ending his own. Will Jamal survive? Only next week’s episode, the last of season 2 in it’s entirety, will tell.
“Empire” airs Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 central on Fox.
