Another hit maker is weighing in on both the Murray vs Starr match as well as the battle rapper vs mainstream rapper debate. Treach of Naughty By Nature suggests the upcoming clash at Brooklyn’s Milk River on October 4 will show signed rappers can battle as hard as the professional lyrical jousters.
“Usually they say battle emcees can’t make hit records. Now we’re gonna show how those emcees that made hit records can battle,” says Treach.

(AllHipHop News) Onyx member Fredro Starr is prepping to battle Def Squad member Keith Murray at MC WAR’s “Generation X” event, but the Queens emcee is already naming other rappers currently on his hit list. In an exclusive interview, Starr calls out two fellow NYC natives.
“I want to battle Mos Def. I like what he’s doing. He’s definitely an ill n*gga,” says Fredro. “I want to battle Masta Ace. He’s definitely a n*gga on the come up. He’s been doing his thing for a long time.”
Starr also names Detroit’s Elzhi as a potential future opponent. Before, the Firestarr creator can face off against El, Mos, or Ace, he has to take care of Murray on October 4.

The rapper quickly realized the had kidney failure that was so dire that he had to get put on emergency dialysis. Even though his condition is serious, the rapper said he is improving.

The Freefest was supposed to be this weekend, but the hospital stay has postponed the event which was hosted by the artist.
