Allegedly Chris Brown had his ex-boo Karrueche’s car repossessed. She thought the car had been purchased for her and put in her name, but allegedly Brown had it in his name and called the repo guy to pick it up. Ouch.
Looks like Tyga’s baby mamma Blac Chyna is tired of her ex running around with a teenager. According to TMZ, Chyna wants full custody of their son King Cairo, and she apparently points to Tyga allegedly dating 17-year-old Kylie Jenner as part of the reason to limit the rapper from seeing his son.
TMZ reports:
But Chyna’s issues run deeper. She has a problem with Tyga because he’s dating a minor, and she believes that shows bad judgment that translates into his parenting skills. Chyna also doesn’t want Kylie Jenner to have substantial time around the kid because she believes Kylie lacks maturity.
Apparently, Chyna is also filing for primary physical custody of King Cairo so he can be in one home during the week once preschool starts. The former stripper is willing to give Tyga weekend visitations only.
(AllHipHop News) Last month Lil Wayne’s tour bus was hit with gunfire in Atlanta. Many fans were thankful the Young Money leader was not injured during the shooting, but one radio personality was happy to hear about the incident.
Charlamagne Tha God did an interview with DJ Vlad, and the outspoken co-host of Power 105’s The Breakfast Club spoke about the violent situation with Wayne’s bus in Georgia. CTG says since no one was injured or killed during the shooting he wants to see it happen more often.
“I love it. I get tired of hearing these motherf*ckers just talk,” stated Charlamagne. “You’re dissing Young Thug over here. Young Thug’s saying little things over there. Somebody do something. Ain’t y’all n*ggas supposed to be gangsters.”
Wayne and Thug have been involved in a very public feud over the last several weeks. There is currently no indication that Thugger was behind the Atlanta shooting or that there have been any physical confrontations between the two rappers. For Charlamagne, Hip Hop needs more actual violence between beefing factions.
“Fist fight or something. We ain’t seen that in Hip Hop in a minute. When’s the last time two rappers fought?” asked CTG. “Back in the day – The Source Awards – motherf*ckers used to get it popping.”
(AllHipHop News) Apparently, DJ Khaled quietly parted ways with Cash Money Records. The leader of We The Best Music Group revealed during a sit down with The Breakfast Club that his brand is no longer officially connected to Birdman’s label.
“I’m not signed to Cash Money at all. I’ve been off for a minute,” said Khaled. “That’s family. Lil Wayne and Birdman, that’s family… It’s just We The Best. Nothing negative, everything is beautiful.”
The Miami representative joins Busta Rhymes, Mystikal, and Shad “Bow Wow” Moss as recent departures from Cash Money. Lil Wayne and Tyga have also publicly expressed their interest to leave the company, and there have been rumors Drake is close to cutting ties as well.
(AllHipHop News) Industry leader Spotify does not seem to be too concerned about new competitor Tidal. The streaming company that was purchased by Jay Z earlier this year has had a rough start after its relaunch in March. However, Tidal has gained attention for its exclusive content and its payout rate to artists which is reportedly close to four times the rate of Spotify.
Spotify’s chairman, Martin Lorentzon, spoke at the STING Day conference in Stockholm, Sweden last week. The executive was asked if he was worried about the rise of Tidal. According to people in attendance, Lorentzon responded by saying, “I’ve got 99 problems – and Jay Z ain’t one.”
Over 10 million people are paid subscribers to Spotify with 30 million active users of the free option. Tidal currently has around 700,000 paid subscribers. It does not offer a free service.
