T.I Changes Title Of Upcoming Album From ‘Trap’s Open’ To ‘The Dime Trap’

T.I is gearing up for the release for his tenth studio project and is steadily making changes before gifting it to the fans. During a sit down with Movieweb, Tip revealed that he has trashed the Trap’s Open title for something else.

“My tenth album, The Dime Trap, I’m working on it,” said the Grand Hustle rep. “I just released the first teaser from it yesterday and it’s going to be an extension or a continuation of the vibe from Trap Muzik. I feel like, when you’ve done hits like ‘Whatever You Like’ and ‘Dead and Gone,’ when you do those mainstream kind of ‘Blurred Lines’-ish kind of records, you don’t go and try to top ‘Blurred Lines.’ You just come to a whole new element, bring it back down and build the process back over again. I’m breaking it all down, back to the element of where my music first began to interest people, and build it all over again.”

His new track “Project Steps” serves as the first single. The Trouble Man also had a blockbuster weekend at the box office. His latest flick, Ant Man reportedly brought in $58 million at the box office.

EXCLUSIVE: OG Maco Explains Why He’s Unbothered By Rumors A Future Fan “Hacked” OGMaco.com

In the wake of the media firestorm over OG Maco’s tweets mentioning Future and the DS2 creator’s response, rumors began circulating someone confiscated Maco’s website and offered the domain name up to the highest bidder as revenge on behalf of the #FutureHive.

[ALSO READ: Future Fan Selling “OGMaco.com” In Response To Maco’s Twitter Rant?]

For days, OGMaco.com included a message the site was up for sale. A photo of Future featured on the web page led to speculation the Dungeon Family affiliate was involved in trolling Maco. It turns out Future had nothing to do with the situation, and the owner of the site did not hack Maco nor was he even a fan of the “F*ck Up Some Commas” rhymer.

OGMaco

That still left the question as to why OG Maco did not have control of OGMaco.com before the domain sale went viral. AllHipHop.com spoke with the Atlanta-based rapper about the hoopla over the website, and Maco clarifies he did not have any connection to the page.

“What no one realizes is OGMaco.com was never my website. It was never meant to be my website. We never bought the domain name, so they didn’t hack my site,” explains Maco. “As soon as ‘U Guessed It’ blew up, somebody bought OGMaco.com and MacoMattox.com. MacoMattox.net was always going to be my page.”

A person identified as Tom Kane was reportedly the individual selling OGMaco.com. Kane was seeking $5,000 cash/$10,000 bitcoin for the domain name, and he even offered a 20% discount to “a person or entity named OG Maco.”

Despite the reduced price, Kane did not seem to be a supporter of OG. He told Noisey:

This Maco individual was saying a lot of things on tour about people being stupid and him being able to manipulate 40 million minds because of song choices, which makes him seem like he is almighty. So, you would think for someone to talk like that, they would be smart enough to own their own name, but clearly they don’t. So, we kind of used his remarks as a window to remind people that you should probably clean your own house before you get to somebody else’s house and start calling it dirty.

Maco saw Kane’s interview. He addressed the comments while speaking with AllHipHop.com.

“I seen the guy talking to Noisey. He’s an idiot, because he thinks he did something to me,” says Maco. “He thinks he’s hurting me, but I would never buy a domain I never intended to use.”

As far as the perceived issues with Future, Maco discloses the two A-Town representatives cleared the air about any misconceptions they  may have had about each other. And for those conspiracy theorists claiming the entire ordeal was an elaborate publicity stunt to draw attention to Future’s new album, Maco shoots down those allegations.

“I wish me and Future had a plan like that. That would be awesome, because that means there’s a tape somewhere,” jokes Maco. “What makes it so funny is that everybody looks at the negative comments, but nobody looks at the first thing I said was, ‘I love Future.’ I got Dirty Sprite 2 on my phone right now. I bought the deluxe edition. I’ve been a Future fan since 1000.

OG Maco1

Maco also returned to Twitter to let the world know he spoke directly with Future and it is time for everyone to move past pitting them against one another. But that has not stopped people on social media from still believing Future fired back at Maco via a “hacked” website.

“It’s really funny to watch people be so ignorant and so hate driven that they would really think, ‘Oh yeah, Future got you.’ They really think Future did it,” states Maco. “Like Future would be that petty to buy my website. That’s so funny. He could just come to an event and try to ball on me. He wouldn’t go through the process of buying my domain name and putting up that lame ass joke.”

The OGG delegate adds, “That was some suburbanite white kid who thought it was funny. But it was really inconsequential to me, because OG Maco dies at the end of this year. I don’t care about the OG Maco name. I’m Maco Mattox.”

Police sources tell the website evidence suggests a club promoter was directly involved in the robbery. Apparently, the culprits mentioned $50,000 in cash Brown had just received from appearing at a local nightclub. It was also clear the robbers knew the home belonged to the “Ayo” performer.

Sources in Brown’s camp are confirming he was hit by people he knew well. The authorities also suspect the incident involved Blood gang members. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Gang Unit was assigned to the case.

Brown has been tied to the Bloods in the past. Last year, CB denied being an official member of any gang set, but he did tell MTV he is acquainted with known gang members.

“When you’re in L.A. and you’re around people, you meet everybody. You meet Crips. You meet Bloods,” said Brown. “Especially in this industry that I’m in. I’m not in the country world. I’m not in the all the way pop world. You in Hip Hop.”

The deluxe edition of DS2 includes the club banger “F*ck Up Some Commas” and “Where Ya At” featuring Drake. Metro Boomin produced a large number of tracks on the project. Zaytoven, Southside, Sonny Digital, Allen Ritter, Elijah Sacii, Cali The Producer, and others also contributed to the sequel to Future’s 2011 mixtape Dirty Sprite.

If Future’s numbers hold out and DS2 tops the Billboard 200, the Freebandz leader will join Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Wale, A$AP Rocky, and Meek Mill as the only rap stars to score #1 albums in 2015 so far.

Producer Sonny Digital To Star In Short Film “Score”

(AllHipHop News) Art often imitates life, and that is the case with the upcoming short film Score. The 30-minute movie focuses on a young producer who has experienced tremendous success working with top Hip Hop talent, but he’s met with opposition when he wants to score films on his own.

The premise of Score is loosely based on the life of Grammy nominated producer Sonny Digital. The beat maker behind songs by Future, 2 Chainz, ILoveMakonnen and others will star in the film. Sonny will also provide the score for Score.

“This film is something I wanted to do and be a part of because the storyline is really almost exactly what happened to me when I first started producing. Nobody was trying to give me a chance, folks wouldn’t hit me back about beats I sent out, doors weren’t opening up, nothing was going my way,” says Sonny. “I also like the fact that I get to star in this movie and also do the score, both are firsts for me. I feel like after this project’s released, I’ll get more opportunities doing things like this in the future.”

Score will also feature cameos from Zaytoven, DJ Scream, DJ Toomp and DJ Spinz. An exclusive soundtrack featuring all Sonny Digital-produced beats with a few collaborative efforts will be released as well.

Filming for Score begins August 2015. The producers have set up a Kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for the movie. Rewards include a digital copy of Score, a copy of the movie’s soundtrack, a thank you credit in the film, tickets to the Atlanta premiere, and more.
