Kid Cudi Wanted Scenes Of Him Kissing Another Man To Remain In "James White" Film

(AllHipHop News) Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi’s latest turn to acting has the Cleveland native playing a gay man in the new movie James White. The Josh Mond-directed drama screened at the Sundance Film Festival last week, and Cudi spoke about his part in the film during a Q&A session.

“I’m mad [Mond] cut out my kissing scenes with David [Call],” said Cudi. “We made out so many times — and it was so good! That’s my only gripe.”

Billboard also caught up with the “Day ‘n’ Nite” performer during the premiere’s red carpet. Cudi discussed how he was pleased to play a homosexual character in the Christopher Abbott led motion picture.

“This was way different than anything else I’ve ever done,” Cudi stated. “It was dope to do that. I felt like I had a responsibility to present a different walk in life from that world.”

James White does not focus on homosexuality as its main theme. The film revolves around Abbott as the title character. A Kickstarter description refers to the film as “a frenetic coming of age story about a young New Yorker struggling to take control of his reckless, self-destructive behavior in the face of momentous family challenges.”

(AllHipHop News) A$AP Yams, the late founder of the Harlem Hip Hop collective A$AP Mob, joined The Notorious B.I.G. and Aaliyah in being laid to rest at New York City’s Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home. Normal services and a fan ceremony were held for Yams on Sunday (January 25).

A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg were among the attendees of the home-going. While it still remains unclear what caused the death of A$AP Yams, his crew’s frontman denied the reported claims that drugs played a part in his passing.

“People were saying that Yams overdosed on drugs—he didn’t overdose on any drugs,” said Rocky during his appearance at the Sundance Film Festival.

At the end of last week, the world was in an absolute uproar over Willow Smith and the #FreeTheNipple movement. The eccentric teen stood of for the movement that seeks to empower women and free them from that scoundrel called patriarchy. A woman going topless is largely a legal no-no. Even in New York, where toplessless is legal, women often get arrested. A new movie called “Free The Nipple” seeks to analyze and deconstruct the stigma attached to shirtless women. Willow Smith didn’t go topless, but the mere thought gave me shudders of creepy, perverted men. If there are going to be spokes women for the movement, I have some suggestions on those that may better rep it than Will’s daughter.

Nia Long

Nia Long has always been fly, but she is also one of the rare women that ages like fine wine. She could also represent the Free The Nipple movement well. She has already posed nude and represented for PETA in the buff.

Halle Berry

With Damon Dash introducing the Visionary Award winner at the ceremony, a plethora of other big stars, including Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar, gave the Chi-Town rapper his props through an honorary video before Yeezy hit the stage to accept the award. As for the acceptance speech, Kanye wouldn’t be Kanye if there weren’t any memorable quotes.

First of all, WHO is she talking about? Spotify? Pandora? Beats Music? Rdio? She should name names. I say that because she is talking streams of music. Does she think that her albums being streamed 70 Million times means she should have sold 70 million units of The Pinkprint? She thanked her fans for making her #1, but I wonder who she believes is streaming that album 70 million times. Certainly not her enemies or the omniscient bad guy. Anyway, I think Nicki and artists like her have it infinitely better than artists back in the day. Back then, a lot of artists got jerked crazily and didn’t have nearly the opportunities that present day artists have. I know there were some tradeoffs like marketing and promotion, but that all came out of the artists’ budgets. I am certain she is flustered, because the streaming money is lame compared to iTunes or the rapidly fading physical album. Her team is one of the most savvy in the rap game. I am certain they are getting that money, despite the fact that she is signed to the infamous Cash Money Records. Business aside, Nicki is one of the few artists in control of her destiny is, while there are modern day challenges, she has a freedom most will only dream of.

Bobby Shmurda's Gun Charges From 2014 Are Dismissed

The cases are only one of the many held against Shmurda and GS9. The two case are planned to be dropped i a few weeks, according to Shmurda’s attorney. Two cases have been dropped but Bobby Shmurda still have several cases to fight in court, including criminal possession of a weapon and criminally using drug paraphernalia in Brooklyn.

Raekwon and Ghostface To Announce "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" Documentary

We revealed a few days ago that Rae and Ghost would have a major announcement at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Later tonight, in Salt Lake City, UT, the duo will reveal that they will release a documentary on the 20th Anniversary of the seminal album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. While the opus is regarded as a solo album for Raekwon, the documentary is a decidedly joint effort with Ghostface Killah.

The “Purple Carpet” screening will offer some form of preview, even though most of the details are shrouded in mystery.

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is widely regarded as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums ever recorded.

Both, Rae and Ghost will be present so AHH will give you details as they emerge.
