Dock Street Brewery Creating Wu-Tang Clan Inspired Beer

The Dock Street Brewery in Philadelphia is giving their new beer a Wu-Tang twist.

The brewery’s upcoming golden saison beer will age as Wu-Tang plays alongside it for the next six months, according to Philadephia Magazine. The beer will be deemed “Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nuthin’ to Funk With.”

“I listen to music every day in the brewery and I’ve wanted to do a series of beers based on the music I like,” head brewer Vince Desrosiers told the magazine. “It’s hardly an original thought but my musical taste is all over the place and Wu-Tang seemed like a great place to start.”

The brew will reportedly have a orange-t### and spicy pineapple flavor to it.

Desrosiers has more hip-hop-inspired brew to come. His next beer will aged while playing Run The Jewels.

The “Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nuthin’ to Funk With” beer will be released later this year.

Karrueche Cussed Chris Brown Out Over Love Child

Photo via Karrueche’s Instagram

Karrueche recently visited Big Boy on LA’s Real 92.3 to discuss a few things. She explained that she doesn’t have beef with Rihanna and she makes sure that her and Chris Brown don’t have to cross paths, so they can avoid the awkwardness. She also says she found out about Chris Brown’s love child when it hit TMZ. She said she cussed the singer out because they were supposed to be trying to fix their broken relationship.

“When it hit TMZ, I was like oh, I called him I cussed him out and I was like you know after the whole Rihanna thing – we’ve been trying to fix what was broken – so I had to just completely pull away.”

We wonder will she ever get to live her life as Karrueche and not Chris Brown’s ex.

A Gucci Mane Photo Exhibit Will Open In Atlanta

Though Gucci Mane is behind bars, photographer Cam Kirk is making sure he isn’t forgotten. He has a lot of photos of Guwop in the vault and he is ready to showcase them. Kirk will be showing never-before-seen pics of Gucci at an exhibit in a church-turned-trap-house in East Atlanta this weekend.

“I had the privilege early in my career to be with Gucci a lot,” Kirk told Complex. “I have some really iconic photos. So, I came up with the idea to do a gallery. I didn’t want to do something typical; I wanted to have fun with it and I wanted it to represent Gucci Mane and his impact.”

Kirk has been friends with the Trap House rapper for years and has captured some epic instances from being around him.

“None of [the photos] are staged, even the ones that are famous, they aren’t staged,” he said. “I just happen to catch the moment.”

The Atlanta photog also released some prints of Gucci in the boxing ring earlier this year.

Kirk has also photgraphed Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Mike WiLL Made It and many others.

The one-day show will be on Saturday, May 30th from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m in East Atlanta. For the exact address email ev****@********rk.com to RSVP.

ALBUM STREAM PREMIERE: Lil Noid – “Paranoid Funk” [LACRO17 Reissue]

Tennessee rap veteran Lil Noid released his cult classic Paranoid Funk twenty years ago. Since then, it has been difficult for listeners to locate the influential 1995 Blackout-produced project. Noid has now hooked up with Delroy Edwards’ L.A. Club Resource label to present a first ever vinyl reissue version of Paranoid Funk.

Created before Noid even reached the age of 20, Paranoid Funk represents a young artist’s analysis of dealing with the traps of the Memphis streets. The Juicy J protége’s lyrics play out as an internal battle of overcoming teen angst from an inner-city perspective.

Lil Noid’s 9-track dark opus is also available on iTunes. To purchase a vinyl copy of Paranoid Funk visit the online store Gene’s Liquor.

Freeway Talks Tidal Performance With Jay-z, Dame Dash, Baltimore Riots & More

Philly legend and ROC spitter Freeway talked it out with AHH recently at BOOM Philly 107.9 building.  A lot of attention has been surrounding him, Beanie Sigel, Young Gunz and his other state property members after Jay-Z invited them to perform at his TIDAL concert. Jay recently partnered with that company and kicked it off with a concert. When we asked Free about this meaning it would be an official state prop/roc reunion he said “we got the return show with Beanie Sigel coming June 6th in Philly and the whole team will be there..”.

About a year ago we know Jay-Z and Dame Dash were spotted at an event and had shook hands. It speculated if they would work together again? Free spoke on that and said “as far as jay and dame I don’t know what they got going on but I spoke with Dame four weeks ago and it was all love.”.

A lot of hip hop fans didn’t know that Freeway attended some of the peaceful events in the aftermath of the Baltimore riots to try and figure out ways to promote unity and peace during the verdict of the Freddie Gray case. Free had said “i was down there talking to the people and kids in the community to come up with peaceful solutions..”

Freeway will be dropping another indie album for the summer of 2015 called “Free Will”.

Although TIP and Foxx are friends now, there were some moments when Foxx was feeling himself and let his mouth get ahead of him. One time Diddy had a party and T.I. was announcing that he would be the next big thing. T.I.’s behavior was annoying Jamie and blowing his high. Jamie basically said he wasn’t trying to hear it, but he felt bad when he looked up and saw T.I. on BET shortly after. Jamie talks about another time where he accidentally dissed a song T.I. was featured on because he didn’t know what was playing.

Producer Kenoe Says Boosie’s “Touch Down” LP Was To Be A Double Disc + Discusses Creation Of “Black Heaven” Featuring J. Cole

(AllHipHop News) Boosie is back. Mr. Badazz returned this week with his sixth studio album Touch Down 2 Cause Hell. The 19-track LP features production work by London On The Track, Kane Beatz, and several others, but about a third of the project was produced by the Night Rydas team.

AllHipHop.com spoke with the crew’s leader Kenoe. The Louisiana board master revealed that he, Roc & Mayne, and Black Metaphor may have been responsible for the respective tracks “Intro,” “Window Of My Eyes,” “Mercy On My Soul,” “Black Heaven,” “Spoil You,” and “Kicking Clouds,” but the collective nearly had twice as many songs make it onto the new Boosie project.

“At one point, we had about ten [songs] on there. It was actually gonna be a double disc. It was records floating in and off that album,” says Kenoe. “I even heard ‘Mercy’ wasn’t gonna be on the album at one point. I was like, ‘This is crazy.’”

“Mercy On My Soul” featuring Jeezy did make the final cut. As did “Black Heaven,” another high-profile collaboration that included J. Cole and Keyshia Cole. Kenoe explains how the socially reflective tune came together.

“When I pulled the record up, [Boosie] just rapped some stuff on it, and at the end of the first verse he said, ‘Black Heaven.’ I said, ‘Damn, that’s it. Leave it like that. That’s gonna be the name of the song, and we’re gonna get somebody to make a hook for it,’” recalls Kenoe. “We sent it to Keyshia Cole, and she laid the hook. Then Boosie laid another verse, and after that Cole did his thing. The rest was history.”

Kenoe felt “Black Heaven” should have been the single to lead the promotion for Touch Down. According to him, Atlantic Records decided to go with a more conventional musical roll out for the project.

“I felt like it should have been the main single from the album. I was preaching that from day one,” Kenoe adds. “I kept saying, ‘This is the biggest record you got.’ But the label wanted to go with Boosie’s traditional way of records he drops – the club records. The label was looking for another ‘Wipe Me Down.’ But what they don’t understand is you can’t go back and create another ‘Wipe Me Down.’”
