The Stage Is Set For Drake Vs Mook

It looks like we are a battle away from Drake vs Murda Mook. Real talk, I can’t really fathom that Drake will ever go into battle with Mook. I think he’s playing a game. Regardless, if they do, I’m gambling Drake has been writing a bunch of raps since last year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards in preparation. At any rate, Drake put a stipulation on them battling the other day and, guess what? Both Mook and Tsu Surf are getting ready for a battle. They all talked via Twitter.

There Is A Feud Over Nate Dogg’s Estate

Photo by Mike FANOUS Gamma-Rapho/ Getty Images

There are reports that Nate Dogg’s son doesn’t see it for his widow, and he is not going to let her cash in on his estate. Naijiel Hale the son of the late Nate Dogg, blames his widow Latoya Calvin for his father’s death and claims their marriage was a sham. Hale believes Calvin caused the car accident that led to Nate Dogg having multiple strokes, eventually causing his death in 2011. He also believes that Calvin married his father when he was mentally incapacitated. Interesting enough Latoya didn’t even attend Nate Dogg’s funeral. There may be some truth in Hale’s claims as Nate Dogg’s estate is saying Nate separated and filed for divorce 19 days after the marriage to Latoya. Unfortunately, the death was not finalized before he passed away. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

‘American Idol’ Has Been Cancelled

After 14 seasons, American Idol has been cancelled, according to published reports. The show will come to an end next year after their 15th season is over.

After its premiere in 2002, the show birthed stars like Fantasia Barrino, Ruben Studdard, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and Carrie Underwood. American Idol alum have raked in a total of 13 Grammys. Unfortunately, the show hasn’t scored any award winners or platinum selling artists in almost a decade, Rolling Stone reports.

The FOX show averaged 20 million viewers a week and hit a peak in 2006 with 31.6 million viewers tuning in on a weekly basis. The show’s rating began to drop due to constant changes at the judges’ panel in 2010, which started with Simon Cowell’s exit when he joined rival competition The X-Factor. Last season it averaged 10.3 million viewers and this season only nine million, according to CNN. NBC’s The Voice has also taken a toll of AI’s viewership as well.

Their final season has been billed as a “season-long celebratory event” as the judges embark on their search for the last American Idol  star.
