Having a rap career may land a San Diego man in prison.
A rapper known as Tiny Doo has reportedly been hit with gang conspiracy charges and faces attempted murder charges along with 14 other gang members for involvement in nine local shootings that happened last year. Doo, however, was not involved in any of the shootings because he has been focusing on his rap career. His album, No Safety, was released back in February for free on Soundcloud.
Tiny, born Brandon Duncan, is in trouble because in 2000, a California law was put into effect that states gang members can be prosecuted if they benefit from the crimes of other gang members. Duncan is believed to have benefited from his fellow gang members’ activities because it helped them gain street credibility, which allegedly boosted Duncan’s record sales. Duncan, who has worked with Lil’ Wayne, does not have a criminal record.
“It’s shocking. He has no criminal record. Nothing in his lyrics say go out and commit a crime. Nothing in his lyrics reference these shootings, yet they are holding him liable for conspiracy. There are huge constitutional issues,” said Brian Watkins, Duncan’s attorney.
Court has resumed this week and a decision has not been made in the case.

One winner will be awarded the ten grand prize.

NFL player Adrian Peterson has been suspended from the NFL for the rest of the 2014-2015 season without pay, NBC Sports reports. The Minnesota Vikings running back violated the league’s personal conduct policy when he faced child abuse charges back in September.
In a letter, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that Peterson’s reinstatement in the league depends on his progress in counseling.
“The timing of your potential reinstatement will be based on the results of the counseling and treatment program set forth in this decision. Under this two-step approach, the precise length of the suspension will depend on your actions. We are prepared to put in place a program that can help you to succeed, but no program can succeed without your genuine and continuing engagement. You must commit yourself to your counseling and rehabilitative effort, properly care for your children, and have no further violations of law or league policy.”
Goodell also condemned Peterson for using a switch on his child and for his behavior during this situation.
First, the injury was inflicted on a child who was only four years old. The difference in size and strength between you and the child is significant, and your actions clearly caused physical injury to the child. While an adult may have a number of options when confronted with abuse – to flee, to fight back, or to seek help from law enforcement – none of those options is realistically available to a four-year old child.
Second, the repetitive use of a switch in this instance is the functional equivalent of a weapon, particularly in the hands of someone with the strength of an accomplished professional athlete.
“Third, you have shown no meaningful remorse for your conduct. When indicted, you acknowledged what you did but said that you would not ‘eliminate whooping my kids’ and defended your conduct in numerous published text messages to the child’s mother. You also said that you felt ‘very confident with my actions because I know my intent.’ These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct, or even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future.”
Peterson has three days to appeal this decision. He will not be considered for reinstatement until after April 15th, 2015.
The hits keep coming from Famsquad as groups members Slick Da Capo, Omekka & Ether Banks team with Gangsta Boo for “Baddest”.
The record is the second single from Slick’s “Blow Vol. 1” EP and the official followup to the Mistah FAB assisted “Surfs Up” record. Be on the lookout for the release of “Blow Vol. 1” EP along with some suprise singles from the Squad before the end of the year.
After the release of her sixth album, Incomparable, Faith Evans will be headed back to the studio for a special collaboration.
In an interview with HipHollywood, the “Love Like This” singer revealed that she is planning to release a duet album with her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G. The potential title of the project is The King and I.
The former Bad Boy singer says this is something she has been thinking about doing for many years.
“I finally got all my ducks in a row to make it happen,” she said. When asked what kind of tone the album will have she replied, “Think Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole.” Faith hopes to drop the album next year.
(AllHipHop News) After Nicki Minaj tweeted that she would never condone Nazi imagery in her art, the director of the Young Money rapper’s “Only” lyric video, Jeff M. Osborne, stated he did purposely include references to Adolf Hitler’s Third R#### regime in Nicki’s clip. Osborne was a guest on Alex Jones’ radio program recently to speak about the criticism surrounding the “Only” video.
“I wasn’t expecting this type of reaction, because this type of imagery is all over the place,” said Osborne. “I don’t know what it specifically was, whether it was too straight forward. I was getting hate mail, tweets. Just because someone does that I’m not going to back down in what I believe in. Also, I’m not anti-Semitic.”
Osborne added that the point of the video was to show that totalitarianism still exists today. He also placed blame on the media for creating the controversy surrounding the visuals.
“You can tell that media has just become very fast, lacks integrity, and just really jumping on something to cause a stir rather than tell the truth,” stated the director. He later added, “I think the media is part of the problem, because they just take something and try to spin it to cause backlash and basically separate people and cause misunderstanding.”
Osborne revealed that he never actually spoke face-to-face with Nicki Minaj about the video’s theme. According to the visual artist, he was sent information about the concept of the video, and he added his artistic interpretation to it. Osborne suggested that Nicki’s team may not have understood the full message he was trying to convey with the various images displayed in the video.
(AllHipHop News) Jaden and Willow Smith were born into entertainment royalty. As the offspring of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, the two teenagers have had unimaginable access to the tools of Hollywood, and they have used that connection as the foundation for their own blossoming careers in music and acting.
Willow recently dropped her EP 3, andearlier this year she appeared on her older brother’s track “Melancholy.” Jaden released his new project CTV2 (Cool Tapes Vol. 2) via the Jaden Experience app overnight which includes new music with Willow and exclusive artwork. The 16-year-old performer was a featured artist on Childish Gambino’s recent Kauai EP as well.
The Smith kids have also become known for their interesting Twitter quotes that have led people to call them everything from child geniuses to absurd twits. The criticism has not stopped the talented pair from sharing their thoughts with the world.
Willow and Jaden expounded on their personal philosophies in a new interview with the New York Times. During the discussion, the Smiths talked about their musical projects, the definition of time, their fashion sense, and school-based education.
Read some of the quotes from Jaden and Willow’s NYT interview and watch video of the siblings performing together below.
On themes in their work:
Jaden: The [song] “P.C.H.” being one of them; the melancholiness of the ocean; the melancholiness of everything else.
Willow: And the feeling of being like, this is a fragment of a holographic reality that a higher consciousness made.
Jaden: [bursts into laughter] As soon as me and Willow started releasing music, that’s one thing that the whole world took away is, okay, they unlocked another step of honesty. If these guys can be honest about everything, then we can be more honest.
On their experience of time:
Willow: I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please, and that’s how I know it doesn’t exist.
Jaden: It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It’s relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year. And if you are unaware, your whole childhood, your whole life can pass by in six seconds. But it’s also such a thing that you can get lost in.
On fashion:
Jaden: Willow just dropped a song (“Cares”), let me quote the lyrics: “I do not care what people say.” We both don’t really care. I like to wear things that I make, but I throw it on as though I was throwing on anything. It looks cool, sometimes.
Willow: I like to go to places with my high-fashion things where there are a lot of cameras. So I can just go there and be like, “Yep, yep, I’m looking so sick.” But in my regular life, I put on clothes that I can climb trees in.
On education:
Willow: Yes, basically, but the crazy thing is it doesn’t have to be like that.
Jaden: Here’s the deal: School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to.
Willow: Forever, ‘til the day that we’re in our bed.
Jaden: Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty.
Willow: They never want to do anything, they’re so tired.
Jaden: You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver’s ed? What’s up? I still haven’t been to driver’s ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can’t see how driver’s ed is really helping them out.
Willow:I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, “Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed.” But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.
(AllHipHop News) NBA star Dwight Howard is facing a criminal investigation into allegations the Houston Rockets center abused his six-year-old son. TMZ reports that Georgia’s Cobb County Police Department has opened a case in the matter after Howard was cleared of any wrongdoing by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Florida.
A law enforcement source told the website that several interviews have taken place and Cobb County investigators received information from the DCF. Howard supposedly has admitted he hit his son with a belt, but DCF ruled there was not enough evidence of child abuse. The belt whipping apparently took place in the state of Georgia, not Florida.
Howard’s legal team suggests the entire ordeal is being orchestrated by the mother of his child Royce Reed. His attorney says the allegations are “baseless” and “have no merit.”
Reed and Howard have been going through a very public custody battle over their son. Howard also won a defamation lawsuit over the former Basketball Wives star. Reed lost a judgement that concluded she violated a court order barring her from speaking about Howard in the media. She addressed the current investigation on Instagram earlier this week.

The Howard abuse allegations come on the heels of NFL running back Adrian Peterson pleading no contest in his highly publicized child abuse case.
(AllHipHop News) A year ago, Wale was caught on tape cursing out employees at Complex Media. The Washington, DC native was upset his third album, TheGifted, did not make the publications’ list of the Top 50 Albums of 2013.
“I swear to God I’ll come to that office and start knocking n****s the f**k out,” said Wale at the time. “You want to see some ghetto ignorant s**t? That’s what y’all promote. That’s the only thing y’all promote from n***as, is ghetto ignorant s**t.”
The two sides have apparently gotten past Wale’s over-the-phone threats in order to do a feature story on the MMG rapper as well as the source for some of his musical inspiration – comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
The emcee and the comedic legend even got together to spoof Wale’s rejection from “The List.” During the skit, Seinfeld makes references to Jay Z and Juicy J, and he encourages Wale to call Complex to express his anger over being omitted from their rankings.
Wale’s appreciation for Seinfeld’s comedy has been displayed throughout his career. He has released the projects TheMixtape About Nothing and More About Nothing which featured vocal samples from the classic NBC sit-com Seinfeld. They also worked together on Wale’s upcoming fourth LP The Album About Nothing.
(AllHipHop News) The backlash to Lifetime’s Aaliyah: Princess of R&B biopic continues. Most viewers were not happy about the way the singer was depicted in the film and were confused by the choice of actors selected to play the roles of Aaliyah’s associates R. Kelly, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Dame Dash.
Timbaland was actually one of the leading critics of the television movie. The superproducer continuously bashed the film on his Instagram page as it was airing Saturday night. Tim called into Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning show to further address his issues with the Lifetime pic.
“I don’t know whose fault it is. I’m just going by the fans,” explained Timbo. “I felt like every [Instagram] picture said everything I probably would say in an interview. I thought about it like, ‘the more attention we give this thing, the better it is for them.'”
The creator of tracks for Aaliyah, Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, and many others added the first Aaliyah movie ever made being broadcast on Lifetime is what initially ignited his anger. Timbaland goes on to suggest that supporters of Aaliyah stop watching Lifetime, and he wanted to know the full details of the situation before he “goes in” on the movie’s producer Wendy Williams.
As the most famous face attached to the project and its biggest champion, Williams became the target of the fans’ wrath. The talk show host announced that she would speak on the criticism during her daytime program on Monday, but the longtime gossip peddler spent less than a minute on the topic.
“I see my Aaliyah movie broke the internet this weekend. Everybody’s got an opinion,” said Williams. “Well I must tell you, whether you loved or hated, you watched. It was the second highest rated movie on all of cable this year so far.”
(AllHipHop News) Did Migos member Quavo get his chain snatched during a melee at a Washington, DC club? According to a picture that was posted on Chief Keef’s Instagram page (that has since been deleted) the answer to that question appears to be yes. But in his own IG video, Quavo claims he still has his jewelry and he never got attacked.

Keef and Migos have been feuding for over a year. The issues between the two camps started when the Chicago rapper felt the Atlanta group sneak dissed him on a record. The beef has grown to include other members of Keef’s GBE crew like Fredo Santana and Capo.
Migos was caught on video getting into a physical altercation at DC’s Stadium Club over the weekend. Reports suggested that GBE associates were involved in the incident.
After releasing the money-hungry single “Run Me My Money” and following it with his catchy Kurupt and Mac Ace-featured single “I Got Em Saggin'”, Compton’s AV is back to keep the momentum rolling. “Green Light” finds AV taking on all the fakes and frauds circulating throughout the game while making his stance crystal clear. With banging production from AyooMeco, who has produced for the likes of Snoop Dogg, TeeFlii, Kurupt, and more, you can chalk up another win for The Chemists Music Group.
Word is one of Lil Wayne’s baby mommas will be joining the cast of Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta.
Never one to bite her tongue, Nivea will definitely make a interesting new cast mate.
MediaTakeout broke the news first:
“R&B singer NIVEA – best known for being Lil Wayne’s BABYS MAMA and The Dream’s EX-WIFE was just asked to join the cast of Love And Hip Hop ATLANTA. We’re told that Niviea basically AGREED . . . and that they are working out the PAPERWORK as we speak.”
If the rumor is true, wonder what type of ratchetry entertainment Nivea will bring to the table.
Please enable Javascript to watch this videoAllhiphop.com recently sat down with rapper Ferrari Ferrell to talk to him about his new mixtape “Loop God”. During the conversation Ferrari talked about working with super producer Sonny Digital for a song called “F$%K Around”.
“I was on his ass! Every time I saw him I was like give me a beat. He sent me a lot of tracks and some of them were down south tracks but I found that special one that had that up top feel.”
Ferrari also talked about how he has been able to be successful being an independent and what he thought about Bobby Shmurda and Troy Ave representing New York.
“Shout out to dem boys. they let me know that it is a chance out here for everybody and they motivate me to go harder.”
I heard that Young Jeezy and religious boss Bishop T.D. Jakes have possibly settled their legal score. Sources close to the situation have told me that they released the song from the clutches of Lawsuit Land and is now back. I know Jeezy’s album has died down a bit since it came out in September, but if you hear it on the radio, you know somebody cut a check or otherwise.
Man. Bill Cosby is getting dogged the hell out for these rape rumors, but the rumors are just that. Bad rumors. Bill has not directly responded to the allegations since they re-surfaced, but he’s got the court of public opinion and it ain’t good. Sources close to AHH have said that they are not shocked that the charges have not taken longer to hit the public’s main vein. This is not good news for Cos, but if he did it, he gets what he deserved. Lets hope they are false for every body.
We were wrong in our rumor that Jay Z wasn’t at Solange’s wedding, but we were correct on the other side. Poppa Matthew Knowles was nowhere to be found, if the pictures on the net are saying anything. He was there for the first time when he allegedly hated Jay Z. LIFE GOES ON.
