Hip-Hop Rumors: Amber Rose Already Bouncing Back?

Wiz has been spotted out and about with a chick or two since the announcement of he and Amber Rose breaking up, now Amber may be showing him he’s not the only one who can play the game.

The Daily Mail UK is reporting that the blonde bombshell was spotted leaving with a popular soccer player over in London.

“After a night out on the town, newly-single Amber Rose was spotted leaving Chinawhite nightclub shortly after footballer Samuel Eto’o in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A source tells MailOnline that Amber, who recently announced her split from rapper husband Wiz Khalifa, departed the West End hot-spot moments after the Everton FC footballer at 3:30 am.

Samuel, happily married to childhood sweetheart Georgette, attempted to go incognito, wearing a black leather cap pulled down over his eyes as he stepped out in a brown coat over a black top, teamed with jeans and black trainers.”

Meanwhile, Amber took to Instgram to show off her single status:

Hmmm. Maybe the two are friends, we’d hope they aren’t trying to creep, considering that Rose’s marriage is reportedly crumbling because of Khalifa’s infidelity.

The identity of the first American to contract the Ebola virus in the U.S has been revealed by her family. The Dallas nurse has been identified as 26-year-old Nina Pham. Along with her identity, it was also revealed that  help has come to the rescue by way of a physician and  Ebola survivor named Dr. Kent Brantly. WFAA reports that Dr. Brantly provided Pham with a blood transfusion Sunday night (Oct.12) at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital after being asked by the hospital. Dr. Brantly, who became ill in July while in Liberia and recovered, has provided blood transfusions to two other Ebola patients as well.

News hit over the weekend that Pham had contracted Ebola while treating the now deceased Thomas Eric Duncan, the first American diagnosed with the virus in the U.S. It is speculated that she became infected while she was removing her protective gear that she wore while treating Duncan.

Pham’s pastor, Father Jim Khoi, has told WFAA that she is in good spirits and communicating with her family through Skype.

EXCLUSIVE: MICK Talks Curating “NBA Live 15” Soundtrack Featuring Jeezy, Bishop Nehru, Flatbush Zombies & More

(AllHipHop News) EA Sports tapped MICK to curate the soundtrack for the company’s NBA Live 15 video game. MICK and EA Sports spent the last year working closely together to select the songs for this year’s version.

“I’ve been friends with the EA team for a while now. We started off with parties, then mixtapes. It then progressed into music curating,” explains MICK. “Hip Hop culture and sports are cut from the same cloth. Every rapper wants to ball and every athlete wants to rap. This synergy has transcended from the actual art and sport into marketing, fashion and other lifestyle attributes, namely, gaming.”

The NBA Live 15 tracklist includes some of the buzzing Hip Hop artists on the cusp of major stardom. Fans will get to hear tracks by Bishop Nehru, Fashawn, Flatbush Zombies, G-Eazy, K Camp, and more “under the radar” performers. Veteran rappers Jeezy and Smif N Wessun made the final cut as well.

“It’s been something I have cared about my entire career. Lots of my early mixtapes – and now even in my live sets – I’ve been excited to expose new artists, producers and sounds,” says MICK about choosing underground performers for the project. “Every song was different. Some I just find. Some find me. Some people I trust have invited me to check out.  Sometimes, I’m just looking for a type of beat. A type of voice. They all happen different, but it’s all very organic.”

Besides organizing the tunes that will compliment the upcoming basketball game, MICK has also been investing in start-up tech companies. The entertainer/businessman is heavily involved in the lifestyle website localeur.com.

“We focus on cool things to do in various cities around the globe,” adds MICK.

NBA LIVE 15 is scheduled for release on October 28. Stream the MICK curated NBA Live 15 soundtrack below and check out the full tracklist at easports.com.

Charlamagne Tha God: Nas’ “Ether” Was Corny (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God is known for expressing his opinions no matter how much they may differ from the general consensus. An example of that variation from popular thought is his views on Nas’ classic song “Ether.”

[ALSO READ: Charlamagne Tha God Reveals Why Nicki Minaj Said She’s Never Coming On His Show Again]

Many Hip Hop fans and historians view the Stillmatic cut as the better diss track between the “Ether”/”Takeover” battle, and some people even refer to it as the greatest diss track of all time. According to Charlamagne, “Takeover” wins for him, because he feels Jay Z included true accounts in his song while Nas just used gay and camel jokes.

“Ether was a good record, don’t get me wrong, but it’s angry as f**k. He sounded so emotional, and it’s elementary bulls*t,” expressed Charlamagne during his Brilliant Idiots podcast with Andrew Schulz. “It’s the oldest jokes you use on somebody – being gay, having AIDS. It’s just corny to me. Jay Z’s ‘Takeover’ was actually facts.”

C Tha God is not the only high-profile person in the Hip Hop community that felt Jay was the victor in the lyrical match-up. Last year TDE emcee Schoolboy Q shared he believes the Roc Nation rapper won that round as well.

“Honestly, I think Jay Z won,” said Schoolboy. “I mean Nas is my favorite rapper, but Jay Z, he was pretty scandalous.”

While others are still debating the 2001 battle, Nas recently revealed that he has no interest to reflect back on those times when he and Jigga were going at it. He claims he does not even listen to “Ether” anymore, because the two New York legends have moved on from their issues.

“It’s just old,” Nas told Angie Martinez in a recent interview.

Director Jason Goldwatch Describes Upcoming Jay Electronica Film “Into The Light”

(AllHipHop News) Roc Nation emcee Jay Electronica is the subject of an upcoming film titled Into The Light. The movie follows the “Better In Tune W The Infinite” creator as he travels the world.

“It is experimental in form and best described as a meditation in un-learning. A movement in seeing without watching, hearing without listening, and the brave exploration of spirit,” states director Jason Goldwatch.

Goldwatch further describes Into The Light as followed:

Jay Electronica is full of mystery, and like a magician, his character lends itself to new ways of seeing things that would seem impossible to many. Several years ago, Jay and I traveled to the other side of the Earth. We left a piece of ourselves there. In exchange, we brought back something entirely new, and the images that follow are a glimpse into that magic for everyone who’s curious.

Traveling across strange lands, we were invited to attend sacred ceremonies of sacrifice and parading celebrations of ancient descent. We trekked together towards the horizon and explored crowded monasteries, solitary mountain top temples, slums of filthy laughing children, and rivers running with blood and flower petals. I documented as Jay walked a river of burning human bodies. We crash landed a helicopter in the Himalayas, and he delivered rice and clean water to a school in a refugee tent city. The result was a collage of movements and emotion.

The experience in itself was a perfect circle. A question with no answers. Full of laughter and tears, but no love story or plot twists. We searched for absolute truth in life, and the only undeniable answer we found was death.

Since returning, I have been working on a film based on this journey called Into the Light. It is experimental in form and best described as a meditation in un-learning. A movement in seeing without watching, hearing without listening, and the brave exploration of spirit. I look forward to sharing this film soon.

Is Ebola A Form Of Population Control?

Shout out to Chris Brown!

This is something that has already been on the minds and hearts of people all over the place. But, basically like Chris Breezy said, it seems like Ebola is some new form of population control – at least that’s what conspiracy theorist say. Now, it has not reached epidemic proportions yet, but the only people dying are in Africa. The other person here in America that died is BLACK. All the white folks are alive like a MF! On top of all that, it seems like AIDS and Ebola have some stuff in common.

(WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The viruses that cause AIDS and Ebola, two deadly, contagious and highly feared diseases, spread through the body using the same mechanism, U.S.-based researchers said on Friday.

The researchers, led by Dr. Paul Bieniasz of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center at New York’s Rockefeller University, said they hoped their finding might lead to the discovery of new drugs to help treat HIV and Ebola infections.

Their study, published in the December issue of the journal Nature Medicine, shows HIV and Ebola use a protein called Tsg101 to bud from the cells they infect.

Both viruses hijack cells, inject their genetic material, and turn the cells into little virus factories. New copies of the virus “bud” from the cells in one of the steps of this process, before going in search of new cells to infect.

As both HIV and Ebola bud, Tsg101 attaches to the virus and helps it to emerge from the cell, the researchers reported.

They said it might be possible to design a drug that interferes with this process. That would presumably prevent the spread of the virus in an infected person.

“It’s remarkable to see two such different viruses share a common budding mechanism,” Bieniasz said in a statement.

“This may present a new target for drugs to treat HIV and Ebola infection, and our research team has begun working on drug discovery based on this research.”

To confirm the study findings, the researchers genetically engineered a hybrid of HIV and Ebola, and a hybrid of HIV and the Tsg101 protein.

Both engineered viruses were able to infect new cells, they said.

Dr. Cornel West Released; Rapper Tef Poe’s Arrest Spurns #FreeTefPoe

UPDATE: Tef Poe and the others were all released early Tuesday morning.

(AllHipHop News) Ferguson, MO policeman Darren Wilson is free even though his actions resulted in the death of a teenage, unarmed Mike Brown. Some call Wilson a murderer and call for his arrest.

Both Dr. Cornel West and rapper Tef Poe protested peacefully on Monday, but were hauled off to jail for their actions. West has been released, but Tef Poe remains in police custody after a separate act of civil disobedient. Cultural critics, activists and others  have maintained that the arrests are just a punctuation on the corrupt nation of the system.

Jodie Evans of CODEPINK: Women for Peace told AllHipHop how the arrest of Dr. West all unfurled, as she was present when it happened.

“Dr. West announced at the event in St Louis that he didn’t come to talk, he came to go to jail.  If the Ferguson police didn’t arrest Officer Darren Wilson he would go to jail demanding it.  ‘When you murder someone you get arrested and have a fair trial,’ he told the audience.  Today without umbrella or raincoat he continued to stand with the clergy asking for justice.  Each of the clergy looking in the eyes of the police and addressing them as humans and sharing their stories.  Tears were flowing before the rain join in.  Dr West was the first to be arrested by the cops, he continued to speak to them asking for their humanity.”

“From the time Dr. Cornel West arrived in St Louis and Ferguson he has shown up to support the young leaders of Ferguson.  His humility and strength continued through the wee hours of this morning, through his standing in the pouring rain inviting the humanity of the Ferguson police, to being handcuffed and taken into the police station as he continued to plea for justice and arrest of Officer Darren Wilson.”

Tef Poe was among a small collective that entered a local WalMart and convened in the Pet food section in “planned civil disobedience” of John Crawford. Crawford was killed in the pet food section of a Dayton, OH WalMart. A total of 7 people were arrested. Here is a video of Tef Poe getting arrested:

Sources will AllHipHop said, WalMart customers were talking pictures and others joined in chanting with the protesters. Finally, the protesters locked arms and then were taken in by arriving police. This is the third WalMart that was shut down by protesters. Ferguson and St. Louis has been a hotbed for over 60 days since the slaying of unarmed teenager Mike Brown in August. Brown was killed in the street by officer Darren Wilson. Wilson remains on paid leave and has not been charged with any crime. Respect to @tef_poe and all the others standing on the front lines for justice everywhere, even in a STL Wal-Mart. #FergusonOctober

By the night’s end, protesters took their energy to the Monday Night Football Game where the local St. Louis Rams played the San Fransisco 49ers.

The Rams lost.
