Houston Family Says Bobbi Kristina's "Fighting For Her Life"

Following a statement released by Bobby Brown regarding his 21-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, the Houston family has released their own revealing that “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surround by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.”

Houston was found on January 31 by her estranged husband Nick Gordon who proceeded to administer CPR until authorities arrived. The tragedy comes shortly before the three year anniversary of her mother’s (legendary singer Whitney Houston) death, who was found in a hotel bathtub shortly before the 2012 Grammy awards. Those close to her have revealed that she took the death of her mother especially hard.

Though she is currently breathing with the help of a ventilator, the full extent of her injuries may not be known until the sedatives wear off, though sources close to family have advised that she may have suffered brain damage due to a lack of oxygen and have been told to prepare for the worst.

This story is still developing.

Mullumbimby Most Wanted

In the past year, Iggy Azalea has been taken to the shed with allegations of being a caricature, denying white privilege being integral in her success, and not caring about the culture that is Hip-Hop. What really is validating these claims is not who is saying them, but how Azalea responds to them.

Responding to Azealia Banks’ interview on Hot 97 this past December after Iggy was nominated for a Grammy. Banks said, “…That Iggy Azalea s### isn’t better than any f###### black girl that’s rapping today. When they give those awards out…Because the Grammy awards are supposed to accolades for artistic excellence. Iggy Azalea is not excellent.”

Azalea took offense, as she seems to do with every critique about her, and replied on twitter:

“Special msg for banks: There are many black artists succeeding in all genres. The reason you haven’t is because of your p### poor attitude.”
“Your inability to be responsible for your own mistakes, bullying others, the inability to be humble or have self control. It’s YOU!”

Azalea’s tweets echo out the Republican party platform towards minorities. The general, “Look around! There are many blacks doing well…(throws in look at Barack Obama.) Stop blaming the system and pick up your boot straps and work hard!” Which is noble as everyone should work hard that is not a debate. What gets glossed over is how that same system benefits a certain type of person. As a blonde, white woman Iggy benefits from that system and she either is oblivious to it (I doubt that) or does not give a damn, which is why she is always under attack.

Iggy is not the first white rapper to profit off black culture. Eminem is the most successful and more recently Macklemore has benefited as well. What they both have done however is admit that they sell more because they are white. No one is telling them to say they are not talented and cannot rap but admit that yes they are more successful because they are white. What makes Iggy a egregious offender is not just how stubbornly she denies what she benefits from, but the package of her image.

When she does an interview, Azalea speaks in her natural Australian voice. However once you hear her on track, you would think that this girl just came out the south side of Atlanta. I personally would not be as offended by that if Azalea had not interviewed with Complex Magazine. Where she was asked, “Have you ever rapped with your Australian accent?” She replied, “Never, it feels weird to me…” (Sips Tea)

I named this article what I did in reference to the movie, Malibu’s Most Wanted. In that movie Jamie Kennedy plays B-Rad who is a wealthy, Jewish, white male living in Malibu. B-Rad however loves rap music and dresses, walks and talks how the stereotypical rapper does. This drives his father who is running for governor crazy as he hires two actors to take B-rad to the hood and “scare the white back into him.” What happens at the end is nothing, as the person B-Rad is looked at by others is really who he is at heart.

I really tried to think that maybe this is all one real version of that movie. But it isn’t. I was actually hoping it would be because then I could just laugh a lot of what I see off but I can’t. Iggy Azalea continues to play the victim and to the people that buy her records they are going to believe she is the victim because they look just like Iggy…in the face at least. What Iggy represents is not hip hop, it is pop that is vainly disguised. What it represents is the continuing taking from one culture to profit. What I do not want anyone to take from this is that I hate on Iggy Azalea. When Nicki Minaj is being over sexualized and uses Malcom X pictures for promo use…we hold her accountable. When Rick Ross portrays a drug dealer and never raps about the pitfalls of that life, promotes drug infused rape and it surfaces he was a correctional officer…we hold him accountable.

Iggy Azalea, the backlash you are receiving is not the hip hop community hating on you, we are holding you accountable. If you want to be a rapper that is great, be the best you can be. But all we ask of you is some self-awareness. We know you have the neo-coon Clifford Harris backing up your image and possibly your lyrics. That does not excuse or validate the problem you are contributing to. When Eve and Jill Scott say be Iggy Azalea they are not talking about rapping about Kangaroos, crocodiles and Foster beer. It is a call to be conscious of your persona and material, not your money or your record sales.

Did R. Kelly Get Beat Up Over The Weekend?

R. Kelly allegedly got them paws put on his body over the weekend. I am just hearing this now, but apparently it was not pretty. Kellz was supposed to be performing in MS over the weekend and did not. Therefore they had to drop them thangs on him. Also, according to Rhymes With Snitch, there is a video recording of the whole ordeal.

If Kelly wants to keep his beatdown off-line, he needs to return that other half of the performance fee.

Did Cam’Ron Quietly Retire?

I read last month on AllHipHop that Cam’ron was going to retire after the release of Purple Haze 2. That’s nothing new, but I am hearing that the Harlem rap god may have moved the date up recently. Yeah, I could be way off, but I am hearing he may have quietly retired early. Now, I am sure Cam has several businesses out there and stuff so he may not need rap. I am curious what would prompt him to exit the game like that.

I doubt this is true, because of all the stuff pending with Funk Flex. But, you know…that could be a contractual obligation. Or it could be an opportunity to exit the game and then make the grand re-opening at a later date.

Did Hate For Marshawn Lynch Kill The Seahawks?

The world remains baffled why – with under 1 yard to go and a running back named BEASTMODE – would the Seahawks throw the ball on such a risky move. The play failed ultimately causing the, to lose a game they were set to win. The conspiracies are running WILD. Some have said that he NFL is straight up fixed. But, even more, people are saying this comes down to not letting Marshawn “Beastmode” Lynch be the MVP. As you may know, Beastmode has been a thorn in the side of the NFL. He won’t do interviews, but his team has supported him. He wears Africa beads and promotes his clothing line and eats the fine. He does what the fluck he wants. Some have pushed the theory that he’s too black and too strong and they didn’t want that to be the face of the best. Tom Brady and the Pats are more in tune with what the league wants to “look like.” I find it REALLY hard for this team to suddenly get this stupid on the LAST play of the Super Bowl.

Businessman Wants To Turn Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch Into Sexual Assault Rehab For Kids

Michael Jackson’s $75 million Neverland Ranch is up for sale and nothing will be the same once it’s bought by the highest bidder.

While one bidder wants to turn the ranch into a MJ shrine, something like Elvis’ Graceland, and another wants to transform it into a state park, one man wants it to become a rehabilitation center for sexually assaulted children.

“The plan is to have children come there for treatment, and they will also hire trained therapists who would help the victims through the use of equine-assisted therapy, which works to improve the kids’ self-esteem, and it helps them to become more outgoing,” a source told Page Six.

The local businessman, whose name has not been revealed, is offering around $40 million for Neverland, but Colony Capital, a hedge fund that controls the ranch, believes it can sell for $75 million.

The live-in amusement park was seized from Jackson back in 2008 by Colony Capital, a year before his death. Most of its features, including candy stores, a two-story arcade and a mini-zoo with elephants, llamas, orangutans and horses are mostly gone.

The idea of Neverland being a rehabilitation center is ironic because the late King of Pop faced many accusations of molesting children there after luring them there with his many amusements.

Money Mafia Ft. Master P – "I Did It"

Money Mafia creates another banger produced by BlaqNMild. Ace B, Master P & Maserati Rome killed the verse while BlaqNMild put magic on the hook. “I Did It” is another classic from the “We All We Got” album. No Limit Forever Records and Money Mafia has earned a space in this hiphop industry.

Bobbi Kristina Brown Reportedly Brain Dead; Bobby Brown Releases Statement

Over the weekend, Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was rushed to an Atlanta hospital after being found face down in her bathtub in her home. Now it is being reported that the 21-year-old is brain dead.

According to reports,  she has “lost oxygen to her brain for too long.”

While details are slowing emerging, her father, Bobby Brown, has issued a statement asking that the public respect their privacy during this tough time.

“Privacy is requested in this matter,” the 45-year-old singer said in a statement to E! News. “Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

Though she is breathing with the help of a ventilator, it has been confirmed that Bobbi Kristina is not in a medically induced coma, which was previously reported.

A family source told People that her father is “inconsolable.”

“This is his worst nightmare. Losing Whitney [Houston] was hard, but this is a million times worse, and to lose her in the same way would devastate him.”

The source also revealed that Bobbi Kristina’s recovery is possible but it would be a miracle if it happened.

Watch Missy Elliott Join Katy Perry During 2015 Superbowl Halftime Show (VIDEO)

After Perry performed a medley of her hits including “Roar,” “I Kissed A Girl” with Lenny Kravitz, “Teenage Dream” and “California Girls,” Missy came through and stole the show. Three Questions With Jay IDK

“Understand me when I tell you that after I pay all my homage, I’m tryna s**t and then vomit. Find all the Dragon Balls and wish for a comet to kamehameha they ass,” raps Jay IDK on his track “Hungry.” Those ambitious lines come immediately after the DMV emcee admits being a student of rap legends Big L, 2Pac, and Nas.

The significance of Jay’s bars is that they provide a clear-cut example the 22-year-old performer respects the rap forefathers who paved the way for him, but at the same time, the lyrics exhibit Jay’s ultimate goal to one day be considered among the greats. Early indication suggests the HXLY TRiBE member has the potential to achieve his objective.

Jay’s 2014 debut album Sex, Drugs And Homework is a trippy journey through the mind of an artist that openly embraces a mixture of new wave R&B with turn-up Hip Hop, higher learning consciousness with brash youthfulness, and spellbinding production with uncontrived lyricism.

It all comes together in the spirit of the meaning behind the IDK in Jay’s name – Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge. The moniker is exemplified in his personal history as well.

Jay honed his raps skills in a college classroom as well as in a jail cell. Some of the songs from SD&H were actually written while Jay was incarcerated, and his class time at Prince George’s County Community College was mostly spent putting rhymes together.

The former computer science student kicked off 2015 with the visuals for “Hungry” which followed the release of the buzz-worthy video for “Two Hoes” in September. Jay is now completing his next project SubTrap with his in-house production team Lo-Fi. He will also be heading to Austin, Texas in March to perform at the SXSW Festival.

In the latest installment of “Three Questions,” AllHipHop.com got Jay IDK to share one of his most unforgettable high experiences and name the individuals the rapper/producer/director finds trustworthy.

You talk about drugs a lot on Sex, Drugs And Homework. What’s one of the wildest experiences you’ve ever had while you were high?

It had to be my first time getting high. I didn’t know I was going to get high. You know how the first couple of times you smoke you don’t know what you’re doing, you don’t really get high? I smoked, and I thought, “This weed don’t do nothing to me.”

One day [my friend and I] were at the bus stop right before the bus was about to come. We smoked, and I didn’t get high right away. Soon as I got on the bus…. I was like “Whoa, what the hell is going on?” I didn’t know the feeling.

I’m usually the quiet guy on the bus, but because I was high, I was clowning everybody. N***as was like, “What the hell is wrong with this dude?” I told my friend, “I don’t think I can go to school. This isn’t a good idea. I can’t be like this.”

At DuVal High School you would have to go into the gym first before you’d go to class. Everybody’s in the gym, and I just started dancing in front of everybody. This was like the first couple of days of school. I was just doing whatever. I was just that high.

I ended up going to class, but what saved me was lunch time. Once I had lunch, I went back to normal. That s**t was crazy – first time ever getting high. [laughs]

If you had to live the life of any Dragon Ball Z character who would it be?

I will have to say the cliché s**t and go with Goku. He was the man. He was the leader. Even though he died, he still came back.

I think my favorite [character] growing up was Vegeta, and then Trunks later on. But Goku is who I would pick, because his role is kind of more so what I’m doing. I’m like the frontman in our collective. I’m the one who’s somewhat of the leader, so Goku would be the one.

On your song “Two Hoes” you say you don’t trust no hoes. So who do you trust?

I trust my family. I trust the people I do business closely with. Definitely, not hoes though. I learned that a long time ago. [laughs]

I trust my parents. I trust my team. Some of my family members… not even my family members. They be on that s**t too. They see certain things I’m doing, and they’re asking for money already.

I’m like, “What? Are you serious? Damn, s**t hasn’t even started yet, and this is how I’m getting treated.” [laughs] So yeah, it ain’t too many people.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Fans Take Epic Selfie With Uninterested Kanye

Kanye West and wifey Kim Kardashian attended the Super Bowl and opted to sit in stadium seats with the common folk instead of being sectioned off somewhere in a box.
