(AllHipHop News) In case you missed it, Ma$e is no longer a pastor. During a recent interview with Detroit’s 107.5FM, the Harlem World representative revealed a hidden beef he had with J. Cole and how his new album will be “personal”.
On J. Cole’s song “Miss America”, he rapped “Granny broke cause she always givin’ bread to the Church/
Now pastor Mason Betha in a Lambo.” While Ma$e did not name that song specifically as what he felt was a slight from the young Roc Nation artist, he did reveal that his anger for J. Cole almost resulted in a physical altercation:
I like J. Cole too when he’s not taking shots at me,” Mason revealed. “I saw him one day, I was gonna hit him but I was too grown to be knocking light skin people out. But I really like him as an artist. . In our generation you said something on a record, we see you it’s action. But when I saw him I was thinking, ‘Oh, he’s just a kid… he don’t get it.’
Ma$e also hinted to his new album being titled Harlem World 2, a sequel to his 1997 debut album. While he is best known for his feel good party records, the soft spoken MC promises that his first album in a decade will be a personal album that touches on his frustration with his placement in Hip Hop’s pantheon:
Personal with where they place me. If you ever look at the pictures of Hip Hop it’s like everybody in there but me? I’m thinking ‘how am I not in the picture?’
(AllHipHop News) It has been announced that the publicized boxing match between Trayvon Martin killer George Zimmerman and veteran rapper DMX has been cancelled. The bout’s promoter Damon Feldman took to Twitter to reveal the fight has been called off.
The Dark Man’s publicist, Domenick Nati, has issued the following statement about the cancellation:
Damon Feldman has announced that the George Zimmerman fight is cancelled via his Twitter. As previously stated, DMX never agreed to the fight and we thank you for all of the support from DMX’s fans. This situation will not affect any of DMX’s upcoming concerts in America or around the world.
(AllHipHop News)Our prayers have been answered! The genius behind the soon-to-be tragic George Zimmerman “celebrity” boxing match has pulled the plug.
Taking to his twitter account Saturday, Damon Feldman (@hollywoodbox11) announced that “there was more to life than money” and therefore the fight was off.
(AllHipHop News) It’s true what they say: All dumb things come to an end. Three days after it was announced that DMX would be George Zimmerman’s celebrity opponent, the promoter of the fight has cancelled the fight.
Owner of Celebrity Boxing Damon Feldman tweeted out today (February 8th) that the fight was cancelled. Feldman apologized in a tweet that he later deleted that read:
The George Zimmerman fight is canceled I’m sorry for anyone I hurt with this but this was a very big opportunity thank you
While he does apologize for organizing the fight, Feldman maintains that there was no ill will on his part and that it was purely “entertainment”:
I want everyone to know this is all entertainment that’s all

(AllHipHop News) Who says a Trouble Man can’t make a great peacemaker.
A day after Rick Ross and Jeezy officially ended their beef with the release of their Mastermind collaboration “War Ready”, T.I. has emerged as the man who emerged as the mediator. According to reports, T.I. spoke with TMZ and explained that he talked with Jeezy and all the parties agreed that a union would be mutually beneficial monetarily and too much negativity had been placed on the feud.
This is not the first time T.I. attempted to resolve this issue between the two rap superstars. Two years ago at the BET Hip Hop Awards, T.I. had a sit down meeting with the two of them scheduled prior to their infamous physical altercation. T.I. explained this during a Funkmaster Flex interview in December of 2012:
That party was supposed to be a sit down, where both of them were supposed to come to the table and sit down at that table…and burying that hatchet. Prior to then, there had anything except conversations. When it’s all about conversation then we can sit down and talk about this and issues can be resolved.
Check out T.I. explain his plan of ending the Rick Ross and Jeezy beef on Funkmaster FlexShow
Last we heard from Rocko, he had connected with Jeezy for the street single “Which 1 U Workin.” Today he’s connected with another ATLien, the self-proclaimed King of the South, T.I. on “P.I.M.P.”
The track will surface later today on Rocko’s new mixtape Lingo 4 Dummies, which is actually slated to drop later today although we have no clue what time exactly, so keep your eyes peeled.
T-Pain dropped a remix to Lorde’s popular “Royals” last week, and today he returns with original music on “I Got It,” featuring fellow auto-tune singer Akon and 2Face.
For those unfamiliar, 2Face, better known as 2Face Idibia, is a Nigerian artist who is one of the biggest in the hip-pop sphere out in Africa. How does he mesh with Akon and T-Pain? We haven’t seen Akon and T-Pain together in a minute either, and they’ve chosen to collaborate on a track with a pretty positive message.
T-Pain has been keeping the fans satisified lately, apart from his single “Up Down” being a radio success, he’s delivered the street-oriented “F### Em” as well as “Fresh Prince.” Enjoy the download.
(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross has been relatively quiet since Mastermind‘s original December 17th release date was pushed back but today (February 7th) unloaded some huge announcements. In a press release, executive producer P. Diddy said the aim for Rick Ross’ upcoming album was to be a “classic.” Today (February 7th), Rick Ross revealed Kanye West, Big Sean, Mavado, Jay Z and more will be on Mastermind.
Check out the tracklist below:
One notable absence is his collaboration with Bobby Womack, “Maybach Music V”. In early November Ross tweeted a picture of him in the studio with Womack and placed a caption that read:
I thank BOBBY WOMACK. MAYBACH MUSIC 5 ft. MR. WOMACK..MASTERMIND
However a little over a month later(and a month before today’s tracklist announcement) Womack indicated to Okayplayer that while he trusted the work him and Ross did was stellar, he was searching for the MMG boss in order to hear the final product:
I’m trying to catch up with Rick Ross to hear what we recorded! It was great because with his tracks, it wasn’t even like trying something new, he really brought something close to some of my old records and…I was at home with it, I would say, when we went in the studio together.
While Womack might be missing, Rozay shook up the Hip Hop world by releasing his first collaboration with Jeezy since their beef began a few years ago in 2011.

Best wack rapper ever—intelligent artist manipulating corporate music—Tity Boi for life—undoubtedly the mere mention of, 2 Chainz, evokes a passionate response that will enliven any Hip-Hop debate!
Regardless of one’s perspective, Mr. 4 Bracelets’ reinforced faith, collective body of work, sheer charisma, and fortified business-acumen has helped cultivate his domineering musical presence.
On Wednesday night (Feb. 5th), the 2 Good to be T.R.U. show, at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom definitely reinvigorated the once-celebrated theater. Circumventing the conventional ‘rapper-performance,’ 2 Chainz commanded the stage for almost two hours!
Choosing to perform tracks like, “Feds Watching,” “U Da Realest,” and “Netflix” (a humorous introduction was even projected on the big screen) proved his cache of creativity easily enabled him to captivate the crowd. While performing “Used 2” the Mannie-Fresh supplied beat had the entire theater jooking.
Always one to share the stage, 2 Chainz, offered an array of artists the opportunity to bask in his spotlight. R&B crooners Trey Songz and August Alsina shared their harmonic voices. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and French Montana represented the New York support that 2 Chainz has garnered. Although only briefly performing “I Really Mean It,” when Dip Set’s, Cam’ron, took the stage (yes, with a cape) the celebrated MC’s mere presence elevated the collective energy to heroic heights.
Pusha T, also performed “Mercy” with 2 Chainz. Earlier in the evening the lyrical savant’s set preceded the headliner’s. The compounded lyricism of King Pusha was definitely appreciated by those in attendance.
The 2 Good to be T.R.U. tour has several remaining dates. Invest into your memories; go see the show!

“We wanted to build a tool that would give artists like Curren$y the ability to quickly package tapes, distribute rich media, and collect fan emails. In one click,” says Matt Mason, VP Marketing for BitTorrent. “The new Bundle embed feature is designed to give creators new options. You can now distribute gated media as a button, anywhere on the web.”
The Jet Life BitTorrent Bundle has already surpassed four million downloads. The company also experienced significant increases in the sale of apparel on their website and advanced tickets for their tour since the bundle launched last July.
“Music fans have changed in recent years. New material has a shorter shelf life, and fans have a shorter attention span,” states Jet Life manager Mousa Hamdan. “You have to keep coming out with new music and new content to keep them coming back. You have to constantly be thinking about new ways to drop content, and new ways to reach listeners.”
