Uhmmmm…did you know that Chief Keef is in rehab? I forgot that he was in there, because he’s been going nuts from social media. But I am hearing that that guy is not really being rehabilitated in any way Not like this is some shocker, but I was under the impression that weed rehab was supposed to alter behavior.
As you know, people made quite a few jokes about Keef having to go to a a horse farm to shovel poop and things of that nature. Anyway, the Chi Town rapper dude is supposedly actually enjoying it…because its not doing anything. Its just a formality until he’s finished in January. Happy New Year.

(AllHipHop News) Reality television star and Lil Wayne’s ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Wright was arrested in Collage Park, Georgia earlier this week. RollingOut.com is reporting that the 30-year-old business owner was taken into custody for failing to pay outstanding parking tickets and has since been released. According to Wright’s manager Corey Blackwell the whole situation was just a “misunderstanding.”
“[The arrest was] based on something that was paid for but that wasn’t cleared out of the system,” said Blackwell. “We’re currently going over it with the lawyers.”
I want to thank the cops at College Park jail for being so helpful to me…Not all cops are A-Holes.
Wright was married to Wayne from 2004 to 2006. She rose to fame in her own right from the BET show Tiny and Toya with Tameka “Tiny” Harris.
Wright later went on to star in the program Toya: A Family Affair. The show centered around Toya raising her daughter with Wayne, Reginae Carter, and her courtship with future husband Mickey “Memphitz” Wright.
(AllHipHop News) In what now seems to be a trend in ligation over potential copyright infringement, the GoldieBlox toy company filed a preemptive lawsuit against rap/rock group the Beastie Boys. The company was seeking to avoid being sued by the Beasties for using their song “Girls” in a viral video advertisement. While GoldieBlox agreed to remove the clip, the Beastie Boys have still filed a counter lawsuit against them.
Billboard is reporting that the Beastie Boys’ surviving members Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and the estate of the late Adam “MCA” Yauch filed a copyright and trademark infringement counterclaim on Tuesday. In the suit, the plaintiffs argue that GoldieBlox have not only illegally used their material but have also taken songs from other artists like Queen and Daft Punk without proper permission.
The claim states:
As part of that systematic campaign of infringement, GoldieBlox has created a series of video advertisements set to well-known songs from popular artists in an effort to achieve the company’s primary goal of selling toys.
Upon information and belief, GoldieBlox has produced and published videos that infringe upon popular songs by Beastie Boys, Queen, Daft Punk, Kaskade, Krewella, Avicii, Slam, k.flay, and Trevor Guthrie.
In some instances, GoldieBlox has altered the lyrics of the popular songs featured in it video advertisements in order to tailor those songs to the company’s goal of selling toys.
GoldieBlox argued in their suit that they were not infringing on the Beastie’s copyrights because their “parody video” falls under fair use. Despite promising to remove the ad, the company apparently refused to end their lawsuit unless the Beasties promised not to pursue their own suit. The band asked that the company apologize and donate money to charity.
GoldieBlox could also be facing a separate lawsuit from Universal Music Group. UMG is the parent company of Def Jam Recordings, the Beastie Boy’s music distributor.
Earlier this year another pre-emptive/counterclaim infringement legal battle took place between Robin Thicke and the family of Marvin Gaye over the song “Blurred Lines.”

“It’s gonna be a lot of lovemaking,” Kelly tells Rap-Up TV about the project. “I come with that bearing gifts.”
During the interview the “Marry the P*ssy” singer also revealed that he has 7 to 8 albums ready, but his next studio release will be another installment in his 12 Play series. The previous versions were 1993’s 12 Play, 2000’s TP-2.com, and 2005’sTP.3 Reloaded.
“There’s been a love making album drought if you will,” adds Kelly. “And I’ve come to save the day.”
Black Panties is predicted to sell around 100,000 copies in its opening week. This will be R. Kelly’s 15th top ten album on the Billboard 200.

Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes have been legendary longer than most rap fans have been alive, but the pair only now have worked on a full collaborative effort. The Abstract And The Dragon is a compilation of sorts that largely chronicles the pairs history. This time capsule features the luminary likes of Redman, Big Daddy Kane, Raekwon, Missy Elliott, Phife, Kid Capri and more. For old heads, this is largely a trip down memory lane and for the younger generation, this is an adventure in beats and rhymes. Unquestionably, this is a reminder of Hip-Hop’s vast potential.

Busta Rhymes is planning to release his E.L.E. 2 album due out next year. Track 16 offers and exclusive glimpse on what is to come.
Robert Kelly is one of the most successful R&B artists of all-time. With over 50 million albums sold worldwide and numerous awards, he is both a critical and commercial powerhouse. In addition to his iconic career in the music industry though, he has also had many things happen that make for a checkered past.
With R. Kelly’s new album, Black Panties, making its way to the masses, AllHipHop.com takes a chronological look back at 10 weird, unusual, disturbing, and awkward experiences of his in and out of the spotlight. And while AHH in no way excuses or minimizes how Kellz and other individuals have been affected by the events in this list, R. Kelly is proof that great music can overshadow even the craziest of circumstances. (Wether or not it should is another discussion.)
Black Panties is significant because R. Kelly is an incredible musical talent, but here are some other reasons that people have been talking about the Chicago native for decades.
Childhood Abuse, circa 1975: In his 2012 autobiography, Soulacoaster, R. Kelly reveals that he was sexually molested from age 8 onward by a woman he doesn’t identify. He also says that an older man, who was a neighbor, sexually propositioned him once when he was a kid.
Marriage to Aaliyah, 1994: One of the first demonstrations of real-life weirdness in R. Kelly’s life after he became famous was his marriage to R&B singer, Aaliyah (R.I.P.). When the couple married in 1994, she was only 15 years old. While the two of them denied that they had wed, a marriage license was uncovered for the couple which was dated August 31, 1994. The document proved that they lied about Aaliyah’s age by stating she was 18. When her parents found out, the marriage was annulled.
“You Remind Me of Something,” 1995: Common set the bar pretty high for Chicago artists using metaphors with “I Used to Love H.E.R.” However, that didn’t stop Robert Kelly from doing it a year later. Considering how sexual and detailed his lyrics had been in the past (see “Sex Me Part 1 & 2”), comparing women to a jeep seemed like a step backward and sort of laughable.
Tiffany Hawkins Lawsuit, 1996: R. Kelly was sued by a woman for $10 million who claimed that she was forced to have sex with him when she was 15 and participate in group sex in order to keep being a back-up singer. In 1998, the lawsuit was reportedly settled for $250,000.
Barry Hankerson Resigns, 2000: R. Kelly’s manager Barry Hankerson resigns from that position. In a letter to Kelly’s attorney, Hankerson says that R. Kelly needs psychiatric help for his interest in underage females.
Sex Tape Controversy, 2002: While Kellz was performing at the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics and set to tour Jay Z for their Best of Both Worlds album, a tape emerged which allegedly depicted him having sex with and urinating on an underage girl. After numerous delays, the case went to court in the spring of 2008. The jury found R. Kelly not guilty on all charges.
“Hotel” Music Video, 2003: The Spanish guitars on the Swizz Beatz-produced “Hotel” are all well and good, but seeing R.Kelly in a pink Zorro mask takes it over the edge. In a little over four minutes, the brilliance and bizarreness of Robert Kelly are both on display. His technically-skilled and catchy chorus outshines Cassidy’s raps, but his look in the video has nothing to do with the content of the song. Even considering the aforementioned guitars, it’s still pretty goofy.
The Best of Both Worlds Tour, 2004: The sex tape controversy had died down a bit, Jay and Kells had both released multiplatinum solo albums, and their performance together at Hov’s “farewell” concert was outstanding. Therefore, they decided to give fans the tour that they’d first talked about two years earlier. However, at the Madison Square Garden stop of the tour, tensions boiled over between the two camps. Subsequently, R. Kelly was kicked off the tour. Lawsuits from both sides followed, but the most memorable addressing of the matter was Jay Z’s verse on the remix of Snoop’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
“Trapped in the Closet,” 2005-2012: This is arguably the most polarizing piece of work in R. Kelly’s catalogue. Its massive 33 chapters has been rightfully praised and parodied for its ambition and sometimes ridiculous content. For instance, the cliffhanger lyrics and ending scenes are great transitions from one chapter to another. They do coast sometimes though in terms of quality and just go for shock. For evidence, see the end of Chapter 9. “Now, pause the movie, ‘cause what I’m about to say to y’all is so damn twisted—not only is there a man in his cabinet, but the man is a midget!”
Illiteracy, 2009: He touched on it in a Vibe cover story in June 2004, but it wasn’t until 2009 that Kellz really addressed the issue while speaking at the Midwest Music Festival. He said, “I don’t even read really and I’m not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me ‘you can’t even read right. How you think you’re going to come up?’ The only reason I graduated from grammar school is because I had a great jump shot.”

(AllHipHop News) Los Angeles Old School Hip-Hop Radio Station 93.5 KDAY was purchased by a group called Meruelo Media (also based out of Los Angeles) for an undisclosed amount on Wednesday December 12, although the new company is not set to take over until January of 2014.
The good news for Hip-Hop fans is that the new owners plan to keep the station in its current format and also plan to invest in to its expansion, which could also mean a stronger signal – a longtime complaint of those in the L.A. area. The station was previously in a purchasing agreement with RBC Communications, who were planning on changing the station’s format to an all Chinese Mandarin format, however that deal fell through several months back.
93.5 KDAY is unique in the sense that they allow longtime fans of Hip-Hop to enjoy the music and the hits they grew up with which can no longer be heard on the radio, an outlet that tends to only focus on what’s current. It also gives a boost to artists who have catalogs of music in reaching audiences that were too young to remember their initial releases.
AllHipHop.com would like to congratulate the staff of 93.5 KDAY and the new owners for doing their part in keeping Hip-Hop alive in the radio market. We also have exclusive interviews coming up with KDAY radio personalities DJ Brandi Garcia, Class1c and DJ Dense – so stay tuned for that!

This past October, Schoolboy Q initially stated the album would possibly be dropping in January on TDE labelmate Isaiah Rashad’s “I Shot You Down (Remix)”:
I’m tired of answering questions why Oxymoron delayed/See I was thinking November but January is sweet.
A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar are a few of the confirmed guests on Oxymoron. Schoolboy Q also tweeted that not only is an The Alchemist-proudced song entitled “Break Da Bank” on his album, but the video is already shot.

(AllHipHop News) We may have finally found out the reason Dr. Dre has been stalling the release of Detox for over 10 years. In a recent feature with Esquire, Dr. Dre talks outlawing his own music in his house, reincarnation and how 5 seconds resulted in one of the most infectious Hip Hop choruses ever.
Dr. Dre’s third (and presumably final) album Detox has been anticipated, scrapped, finished and non-existent since the mid-00’s and Dre may have shed light as to its stalled released. After admitting that he believes not only in reincarnation but that he himself has “lived quite a few lives”, Dre says a meeting with an anonymous psychic at a party made him rethink his career:
She did past-life regression. She started telling me things that I really believe. She’s telling me that I’ve been back several times before. ‘This is the last time you have to come back. You don’t have to come back anymore if you don’t want to.’ I was taking it as entertainment. But something inside me was saying, Hmmm.
Two years ago, Snoop Dogg informed NME Magazine that Detox was “almost finished” around the time Dre’s Eminem and Skylar Grey-assisted single “I Need A Doctor” had became the first Dr. Dre song to surpass 2 million digital downloads. However, no release date for the mysterious album has surfaced.
Also in the feature is the man who says he’s spent “seventy-nine hours without sleep” to work on music admitting that one of his biggest hits, Eminem’s “My Name Is” was started rather quickly:
I put the track on, we had a little bit of idle chitchat, I put on the beat, and maybe five seconds in—I swear to God—he goes, “Hi, my name is.” That was it. And it’s still clicking. There’s something about our thing that’s just magical.

(AllHipHop News) The creators of South Park famously took aim at rapper/producer Kanye West on their classic “Fishsticks” episode. That parody led to the Def Jam artist firing back at the show on his track “Gorgeous” off My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. “Choke a South Park writer with a fishstick,” rapped Ye.
Well, Kanye may want to start working on a new diss for the Comedy Central animated program, because Trey Parker and Matt Stone are going at him again. Kanye’s character returns to South Park on the show’s season finale airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
(AllHipHop News) During a sit-down with Bootleg Kev, Los Angeles emcee Nipsey Hussle addressed his past issues with Aftermath boss Dr. Dre. When Kev asked the Crenshaw mixtape creator about his “muthaf**k a Detox” line on “Mr. Untouchable” and Dre’s perceived lack of support for the “New West Coast” artists, Nipsey further explained his viewpoint on the matter.
What I said about the Dre situation was just me being a real n####. It wasn’t like a direct shot. It was just like me speaking what was true to me at the moment. We doing us, and we gonna push regardless of co-signs, help, people coming down dropping ropes. I felt like if I’m sitting back in the game, and I’m watching Nipsey Hussle, and I’m watching Dom Kennedy, and I’m watching YG at that moment developing a situation – I just felt like what I would do – I wouldn’t spend money. I wouldn’t necessarily offer financial support, but I would do what I do to these young dudes that I see. I would acknowledge they grind. Because when it’s impossible to miss, and you don’t acknowledge it, that’s becomes intentionally not acknowledging it.
A 26-year-old French man pulled an axe out on a McDonald’s drive-thru attendant after he was allegedly served cold fries, according to the Huffington Post.
The attack occurred at a McDonald’s near Paris at around 2 a.m Sunday when the man began bashing the drive-thru window with the weapon. He then threw the axe inside the restaurant and sped off. Police caught up with him shortly after the incident and took him into custody.
This one is loaded considering that a French man threw an epic tantrum over some cold french fries, but I’m not going to touch it. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Furthermore, who the eff just happens to carry an axe around?

Michael Girgenti is a male model who claims that he is Mason Disick and not Scott Disick, as Kourtney Kardashian claims. Radar Online reports that Kourtney K and Girgenti have an upcoming court date to settle the score.
“I just want the truth to come out,” Girgenti told InTouch as he readies for the Dec. 16 court date. “At this point I have nothing to say to her, but if I am the father, I need to be slowly integrated into Mason’s life before more time passes.
“If I’m not, I can rest at ease — and everyone can move on,” said Girgenti, who claims his tryst with Kim’s older sister came in March 2009, months after the two initially met on a photoshoot for 944 magazine.
As we previously reported, the family released the results of a paternity test in August that stated Disick was the boy’s father, though Girgenti took exception with the results, implying they could have been doctored. He’s hoping the court will demand a test through an independent facility to allay his concerns.
It should be noted that Girgenti failed a lie detector test regarding the mater in August. The polygraph detected deceptive behavior when the model alleged that he and Kourtney had sex. Kourtney is probably so over the crazy drama but at least she’s moving forward with the test so this man can stop looking for a Kardashain kome up.
New Orleans rapper and Jet Life Affiliated, Trademark Da Skydiver is flying high these day. With the recent release his project “Flamingo Barnes 2: Mingo Royale” in November, he has created quite the buzz for his career. The Jet Life affiliated sits down with AllHipHop.com to discuss his passion for rap, his name, connecting with Currency, and his new project.
Why do you rap?
I rap because it’s the only way I know how to express myself, fully without having a conversation with someone, it’s that on top of connecting with people.
What’s your affiliation with Jet Life and Currency?
I have been with them for going on about 5 or 6 years now, I been since Fly Society to the Jets. Right now I’m focus on myself, I have a label that I just popped off, I have artist I am trying to get to the forefront. It’s really just about expanding, if I go out on my own, and do my own thing that just makes the Jet Brand stronger. I have known Currency for a long time since we was kids, before either one of was really into rapping. We have a mutual friend and one day I went to the studio with him and he was in there, he seen me and asked me was I still rapping and he said “cool he got a mix tape coming out I want you to get on it“, and it’s been lock since then.
Why the name Trademark Da Skydiver?
Well Trademark has been my rap name since forever, of course when I hooked up with the Jets it just made sense. I was like head first behind everything, I am very outspoken, I speak my mind, I don’t hold my tongue, so I was like Skydiver. It represented my personality
Tell us about your project?
It’s crazy, it’s the best project in my opinion that I put out. I took my time with it, a lot of my other project was done real fast. I just wanted to take my time and dig deep and pull out my different personalities. This project is really dope; it has a different sound from anything I have done. It symbolizes my independence.
What makes your music different? How are you going change the music industry?
Nobody shares my brain, nobody shares the path that I walked I life. I see myself as a versatile artist, I mean changing the game just in that sense. I just come real straight forward. We will just have to see what type of impact I make. All of that is up to the fans. It’s up to them what type of impact I make.
What’s your opinion so far on the industry?
I respect everybody, who out there making noise and waves. A lot of people complaining about what’s on the radio and what they don’t like.Like I said early that’s the way people express their selves . I am not one of them cats who like this is watered down. People like it, people buying, people on MTV Jams . I just don’t see how people complaining if you don’t like it, don’t rock with it. Its like to many people have they opinions but, a lot of them need to learn their place. At the end of the day respect everybody. I respect everybody
(AllHipHop News) Kanye West seems to have got his facts wrong and ruffled the feathers of Arsenio Hall. During his speech at the GRAMMY Nomination concert, Hall dismissed Kanye’s accusation that racism caused The Arsenio Hall Show to be discontinued in 1994.
During his interview on The Breakfast Club in November, Kanye said that Arsenio Hall was fired from his show for “turning up too much.” Hall refuted that claim and gave more context to the end of The Arsenio Hall Show in the 90s:
I just left my show, the white man didn’t do nothing this time, bruh. Save that for when the White man do do something. Don’t muddy the waters of racism with my bullsh*t, because it was not racism. I just left my show.
A reason Kanye may feel Hall was fired for “turning up too much” is the commonly believed notion that Hall’s controversial interview with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in February 1994 upsetCBS, where the show was aired. In an interview with VIBE Magazine this past September admitted that the interview may have destroyed some of the love people had for him.
Hall was not finished with reprimanding Mr. West as he gave Kanye and the media present a quick history lesson on the term “Slave” and denounced its use in songs:
I hate the word ‘slave’ used in songs. The f*ck outta here. Do you know what that word is? Do you know what that word is all about? Nobody can use ‘slave’ in pop culture. If you’re in the music business, you shouldn’t f*ck with that word. Too serious an era. Too serious a problem in America. There is no one that’s free to move around this country that should use the word ‘slave.’ Do you know what it meant to slaves?
A California man in his 50s met a terrible death due to stealing gas. Richard Glover went to a South Los Angeles gas station on Tuesday where he paid for gas at a pump but then drove to the back of the station where he attempted to steal more gas, reports CBS.
It was at the back of the gas station where his van exploded and he burned to death. Authorities discovered two 55-gallon tanks inside the van, after the fire was put out, as well as a pump and an inch-wide water hose leading from the van to an underground tank.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but the man’s family told authorities that this wasn’t the first time he tried to steal gas, and that they’ve been begging him to stop doing it.
