Hip-Hop Rumors: Is "Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta" Scripted?

Did you watch the finale of VH1’s “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” last night? The finale was very explosive and one of the most talked about topics on Twitter last night. The highlight had to be when Hip Hop Weekly owner Benzino proposed to Karli Redd, and then quickly reneged on the offer. Burn! So the question popped up again, is the show scripted or not?

Benzino recently did an interview with Hip-Hop Wired where he admitted that there was one part that was scripted.

“I met Karli off camera, she asked me for my number and we went on a date,” said Benzino. ” I was trying to keep it away from the Love & Hip Hop camera’s, but then I get a call the next day from Mona (Scott, LAHH producer) saying ‘Nah, if you’re going to date one of the cast members we have to bring the camera’s out.”

“The only thing that probably was re-enacted was when we met. Because when we met the camera’s weren’t there. So they had to get it as close as possible on how we met. Everything else is me and Karli.”

So, if one part of the story is fake, why should we believe that it all isn’t staged? I’ll tell you why, because you can’t make this stuff up! You can’t make up Stevie J and his crazy love triangle with the helpless Mimi and the ex-stripper-turned-spitter, Joseline. (Okay, she probably isn’t much of a spitter, but I like the way it sounds.)

And how about K.Michelle and her alleged abusive relationship with music exec, Memphitz? Yes, the same Memphitz that recently married Lil’ Wayne’s ex-wife, Toya. See, you can’t make this stuff up!

illseed got the exclusive on the reunion show. He says Rasheda and K.Michelle got into a huge fight and Rasheeda left the building in an ambulance. READ THE STORY HERE: Exclusive Rumor: Hip-Hop Atlanta Reunion: Fights, Marriage Proposals And Flashings

“Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” was the #1 show on cable TV this year, so I’m pretty sure they will be getting a season two. Will you be tuning in again next season?

Daily Word: Have Great Expectations!!

Happy Tuesday, my Dreamers and Doers!

Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to Great Expectations! I often hear people say that if you expect nothing, then you will never be disappointed… In theory, that is true… When you look forward to nothing and nothing happens, you are not disappointed because you got what you expected!

But what type of life is that? That type of thinking is done by someone who does not truly believe in their power to create their circumstance! The truth and law of the land is that you get what you expect! Expect to be happy, then happiness will be yours! Expect to live abundantly, then abundance is your way of life!

Your mind is the most powerful tool you have in your arsenal, so what it can conceive, it MUST achieve! Step your thought process up and all of what you want in life will begin to be yours! Stop the small thinking with small expectations!! To think Big and expect even bigger takes the same exact energy! Use it wisely, and get what you deserve!!

Jay-Z Beefs With 40/40 Chef In $1.5 Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) Jay-Z is suing his former personal chef, who also ran the 40/40 Club’s kitchen, over the menu at the rap mogul’s famous sports bar.

The rapper recently filed a $1.5 million lawsuit against Mike Shand, in Manhattan Federal Court.

According to the lawsuit, Mike Shand failed to perform significant aspects of his deal with the 40/40 Club, which called for him to spice up the menu for the club’s $10,000,000 renovation earlier this year.

But the lawsuit claims that the chef’s lack of performance cost the club lost profits, along with the alienation of its patrons.

Additionally, the 40/40 Club claims it was not able to replace the menu items that Shand was paid to provide.

A lawyer for Shand told the New York Post that his client, who has traveled around the world with Jay-Z, was surprised by the lawsuit.

“Mike’s a great chef, and it is unclear why 40/40 would contemplate a lawsuit against him,” Shand’s lawyer Vik Pawar said. “Nevertheless, we will respond accordingly when he gets served with the complaint.”

McGill really nailed the trials and tribulations of aspiring drug dealers and aspiring recording artists, Elle and Twyla, growing up in the late ’80s and early ’90s in Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood. The book is good, and it is a great break from the norm.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Music Exec Memphitz Responds To The K.Michelle Abuse Allegations

Music Executive Memphitz has finally spoken out to tell his side of the story regarding his alleged abuse of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star K.Michelle.  If you follow the show, you already know how K.Michelle’s entire story line revolves around her putting the pieces of her life back together after getting beat by Memphitz.

In the interview with TT Torrez, Memphitz describes an incident with K. Michelle at a hotel room where he allegedly hit her.  Memphitz says that he never hit her and it was actually her who was “swinging” on him. He did admit to putting his hands over her mouth to prevent her from screaming. He also addressed the “I MADE YOU ” tweet.  Check out the interview below:

He ends the call by wishing K.Michelle well and tells her she needs to “go get help.” You know what they say, there’s three sides to every story, right.

Album Review: DJ Khaled's "Kiss The Ring"

Rating: 7 / 10

Whether you actually enjoy his music or not, there’s no denying the fact that DJ Khaled’s had his hand in some of the biggest urban radio singles since his arrival on the scene. Initially known to some as a Miami DJ, but to most for his connections with Fat Joe and Terror Squad under the alias “Beat Novacane”, he eventually started using his DJ powers with bigger ideas in mind, which culminated with Listennn… The Album. Even from the beginning, Khaled had a knack for pulling off cameos that others couldn’t, such as the Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss-assisted “Problem” (keep in mind at the time, it was well-documented that they had issues with each other).

Since then, Khaled’s been pumping out hit after hit with a relative high level of success, although anyone could see it was somewhat formulaic and based on who was hot at the time. With the release of his latest LP Kiss The Ring, he continues that same trend for the majority of the album, making this unfortunately sound like the type of project we’ve heard from him in the past.

If you’ve enjoyed his albums previously, then that shouldn’t discourage you. Khaled has still assembled an all-star cast for almost every song, and for the most part, he does his best to keep his ad-libs out of the way of the verses and hooks. The beginning and end of those songs, however, is a different story, and the outro (“They Don’t Want War”) is a completely different beast altogether, as Khaled decides to try his hand at rapping again (and a 20-bar verse at that). Thankfully, this is the only track that he raps over, and he lets his guests do the heavy-lifting beforehand.

The production is handled by an assorted cast that includes (but not limited to) Hit-Boy, The Runners, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Mike Will, and DJ Khaled himself). The album features are also somewhat redundant, as Ace Hood, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, T-Pain, Kirko Bangz, Future, Mavado, and most of YMCMB, MMG, and others all deliver verses that you’d expect, with the exception of the Bone Thugs-n-Harmony flow that Wiz Khalifa utilizes successfully in “I’m So Blessed”.

Chances are you’ve already heard the singles that could be bigger than the LP; “They Ready” has J. Cole and Big K.R.I.T. delivering their Southern philosophy, only to be interrupted at the end by Kendrick Lamar (“But don’t forget about Compton, n*gga!”) as he spits yet another dope, charismatic verse. “I Wish You Would” features Kanye West and Rick Ross, and it conjures up images of mixtape Yeezy from another Khaled single, “Go Hard”. Lastly, “Hip-Hop” has Scarface and Nas rhyming about her in the most literal sense, and DJ Premier acts a fool with the scratching skills throughout the track. This could be one of the best tracks that Khaled’s ever orchestrated, but it’s unfortunate the rest of the album is lackluster compared to this or the other aforementioned tracks.

DJ Khaled’s Kiss The Ring isn’t a bad LP by any means, and the highlights make the LP truly worth giving a spin, but it’s hard to fight the feeling that we’ve heard the rest of the album before. It’s still the same formula that Khaled been giving us for six years during his run, and although it would be nice to see Khaled take more chances musically, it’s easy to argue that he’d be crazy to try and tamper with something that works for him. To be honest, Khaled fits right in the pocket with this type of music. If that’s a good or a bad thing truly depends on your perspective.

Mike Tyson Warns 50 Cent About Boxing World

(AllHipHop News) Boxing legend Mike Tyson recently warned rapper 50 Cent about the pitfalls of the boxing industry in an interview with Entertainment Sports Radio.

BoxingScene.com reports that Tyson discussed his views on 50 Cent’s new venture with Floyd Mayweather Jr., The Money Team Promotions aka TMT Promotions.

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather have already signed several high-profile boxers to TMT Promotions, including Yuriorkis Gamboa, Andre Berto, Billy Dib, and Celestino Caballero.

“I wish 50 Cent the best of luck in the world with the endeavor that he’s doing, but this is something that 50 Cent has to know when you’re dealing with something like boxing and you’re dealing with human beings,” Mike Tyson said. “We calling it peddling the flesh. Even though you’re paying them, you’re still dealing and flesh.”

According to Tyson, the sport of gambling is so corrupt that he believes it should be taken over by the government.

Tyson warned 50 Cent that his new company with Floyd Mayweather could also cost him his career as an entertainer.

“50 is a rap star, 50 is an entertainer, 50 is an entrepreneur,” Mike Tyson said. “He doesn’t really know the ins and outs of boxing. He probably knows what Floyd tells him, but once he gets in this arena, everyone that was ever his friend on the other side is [now] his enemy.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Chief Keef Call Lil' Wayne A H*mo?

WHOOOOOAAAAAAAAA!

I know Chief Keef is like the man of the hour, but this kid seemingly has no censor. Either that, he doesn’t have very good friends. Right now, Keef is 16 and there is a video of him reportedly calling Lil Wayne a h*mo…at the age of 16!  This is right after he reportedly tweeted that Kanye West really didn’t help him.

READ: Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Chief Keef Talk Slick About Kanye West?

Oddly, Baby of Cash Money wanted Keef to be down with YMCMB earlier this year. Anyway, I couldn’t barely make this mess out. Could this be the actual evil media turning nothing into something. I think they can get over it if he did actually call Weezy the derogatory term. Nevertheless…lets get this kid a muzzle. All he needs to do is diss Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Rick Ross and he would have burned all the commercial bridges in rap!

Here is the video:

Lil Wayne: “You sure you want to do this way, young’un?”
