I hope nobody was thinking “pause” at the headline. Chief Keef is in “good hands” in jail…Noooooooooooooo!
Well, I have some very good news to report. This just warms the heart, no lie. So, we have rumors about people trying to kill Rick Ross. And we have rumors that the cops are looking to arrest Chris Brown, but that’s not what I’m happy to report.

I am happy to report that there is a source inside of the juvie jail that houses Chief Keef and they are reporting positivity. Now, here is the interesting thing. Apparently, the dude is being helped out in a major way. The source is saying that Keef is not that dude that is seen in the media and MUSIC. They say he is a “respectful, generous little dude” that has simply gotten caught up by circumstance. The source also maintains he is a victim of sorts. But, here is the caveat – they claim he’s changed from being “Chief Keef” to just Keith. They “expect” that when he gets out of the bing, he will be a changed person that knows what to do and that’s the right thing. He’s got older mentors around “who believe its our responsibility to nurture our little brother.”

(AllHipHop News) Chief Keef has been having a tough week, as he was recently sentenced to a short bid in a juvenile detention center for a gun violation.
Rockie Fresh, the newest Rick Ross signee, has come to his fellow Chicagoan’s defense as Keef starts a 60-day jail sentence. Rockie told AllHipHop people are quick to judge young people like Keef, but not so quick to mentor them.
“I do feel like people are too hard on him, because they are not doing nothin’ to help. When you an older person and you realize there’s an issue going on with somebody younger, especially in the African American community, older people have a tendency to look down,” Rockie told AllHipHop.com during an interview at Premier Studios in New York. “[They are] totally be disgusted by young people and the moves that we making. But, instead of really trying to find the root of why its that way, and really trying to fix it.”

Keef is a gang leader, authorities allege, and has not changed his ways. Before his sentence was handed down, Keef reportedly pleaded for leniency to no avail. “I beg you, please, give me one more chance to show you. I’m a very good-hearted person. I have not picked up any more cases. That’s not my life anymore,” Chief Keef stated in court.
Rockie alleges Keef is basically making lemonade from the lemons life handed him.
“I don’t know what his life was like before he got on. I can’t judge him,” he said. “And I feel like people that’s much older than us, instead of trying to get in tune [with us] and help, instead of looking at their kids in terms of how much they need to watch over them…that’s the problem.

Continuing, Rockie expressed: “And the things is, he’s coming from a background that was clearly relevant before he started making music. Regardless of what people say about him, he still a young person that got out of the hood by putting in hard work. And he was able to release and album that was put in stores. That’s something that has to be applauded. I respect him for that.”
Keef’s debut, Finally Rich, came out last month,
Rockie Fresh recently hosted a NYC listening session for his Maybach Music debut mixtape, Electric Highway. The rapper gave participating media an actual cassette tape of the trippy musical excursion.

(AllHipHop News) Last year’s Coachella Festival was dominated by hip hop talent, mostly famously by a resurrected 2Pac as a hologram. This year’s festival will highlight another iconic hip hop act, this time not in digital form. The legendary Wu-Tang Clan will reunite to perform on the April 14 and April 21 dates. The two weekend event will be one part of Wu-tang’s year long celebration of the 20 year anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album Enter the Wu-tang (36 Chambers).
It was also announced on January 9th via the group’s Facebook page that a new album is also in the works. Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon released their collaboration Wu-Massacre in 2010, and the 2011 compilation album, Legendary Weapons, featured several Wu members and affiliates, but the new project will be the first official Wu-tang studio album since 2007’s 8 Diagrams.
Besides Coachella and the new LP, fans may also see a full Wu-Tang world tour this year. Wu producer Rza told Power 105’s The Breakfast Club last October, “I know that the 20th year anniversary is coming up, and some of the brothers have been talking about potentially going back in, maybe do a world tour. I see like one last hurrah to close the book.”
Other hip hop acts performing at Coachella 2013 include 2 Chainz, Danny Brown, Jurassic 5, Theophilus London, Aesop Rock, Earl Sweatshirt, and Raider Klan. Rock bands The Stone Roses, Blur, Phoenix, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are set to headline. The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on April 12-14 and April 19-21.
