Hip-Hop Rumors: Uh Oh! Florida GD’s Want Rick Ross To Pay Up!

OH MAN! Rick Ross is winning, no doubt, but you can’t help but smell like some sort of change is on the horizon! First of all, these Gangster Disciples appear to be all over the Boss’ every move! First it was Alabama and now it is the gang’s Florida faction that has taken to YouTube for a threatening video.

I think I’m going to get some of my boys and where a mask and hit up Charles Hamilton! Yeah, we uhhh, want you to pay up in Rahmen Noodles, boy! Give it up smooth! Ain’t no telling when I’m down for a jack move! Just kidding. Anyway, Rick Ross somehow got these dudes upset over some alleged comments about leader Larry Hoover. I know Rick Ross has name-dropped Larry Hoover, but I’m not even sure what happened to upset the gang. I do think that maybe somebody should just say sorry. Get it out of the way.

Nobody needs to die or get hurt. Say sorry. Please? I would.

Larry Hoover should be able to…nevermind.

EXCLUSIVE: Remembering “Lollipop” Producer Static Major

(AllHipHop News) AllHipHop.com pays its respect to late Grammy Award winning producer Static Major, who was born Stephen Ellis Garrett today (November 11).

Static Major produced songs for a number of hit artists, including Aaliyah, Ginuwine, and Pretty Ricky, before his untimely death in on February 28 in a hospital in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

The producer, who was about to release his debut album, had been diagnosed with a rare blood disease, which was not life threatening. But Static died suddenly on the operating table, during a routine procedure.

After the break out success of Pretty Ricky, whom Static producers, Universal wanted to pick up a more street oriented group with the backing of both Producers Bigg D & Jim Jonsin.

Florida producer/executive Abebe Lewis came into the fold, helping to put the group ‘Bottom of Da Map’ together.

AllHipHop.com had a chance to speak with Bizerk from Bottom of Da Map about working with Static Major

“There was a record we had where Bigg D sampled over ‘4 page Letter’ and Static Major wrote the record over for ‘Bottom of Da Map,'” Bizerk told AllHipHop.com. “The man who wrote it for Aaliyah wrote it for us. It was historical he wrote the single ‘Wats Da Bizness.’ We had 4,000 spins on that record.”

Before he had the chance to see the success that was garnered from Lil Wayne’s#### single ‘Lollipop,” which featured the rising producer, he was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disorder.”

“All of a sudden we were at the studio one day an Bigg D was like , Static is dead , then he dropped the record ‘Lollipop’ record with Lil Wayne. He wanted to be an artist for 10 years , he had a big record ‘Ride Till the Wheels Fall Off’and the record he did come out with was #1 with Lil Wayne. He wasn’t even here to see it. But he did what he wanted to do.”

Game Drops Visuals For “Cough Up A Lung,” Disses Shyne, 40 Glocc

(AllHipHop News) Compton, California rapper Game shot the visuals for his new single “Cough Up a Lung,” last week in New York.

Over the weekend, Game released the video for the song, which is taken from Game’s “The Offering” series.

During the song, Game takes the opportunity to address rapper Shyne, who recently dissed fellow Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Game and Shyne are going t## for tat over comments Shyne made about Kendrick Lamar’s critically acclaimed debut album good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

Now, Game has taken the beef beyond Twitter and on to wax as he makes light of Shyne’s jail time, his deportation and even his religion.

“Let’s address that b**ch ass ni**a going at Kendrick /say the album’s trash, ni**a you full of gas/poke holes in you, let you fill up a New York cab/ni**a in Belize all into his feelings ’cause he did 10 years for shooting at the ceiling/Diddy gave you a mil, little ni**a should have chilled/cute curly sideburns, talkin’ ’bout he real/

During the track, Game addresses his feud with 40 Glocc, who recently sued the rapper over a violent altercation in the Hollywood Hills in July of 2012.

On Tuesday, Game will start promoting the #BibleStudy series in preparation for Jesus Piece, which is due in stores on December 11.

Exclusive – 5 & Done: Doughbeezy

Houston, TX, like many other American cities, has carefully polarized communities. For every affluent River Oaks resident, there is a struggling South East casualty. When stark nightmares are challenged by a desensitized reality, serious angst and constant depravity are best combated with hope-laced action. Doughbeezy, the South East Beast, champions hope’s enduring spirit. Having earned an illicit working knowledge, the Kickback Killer uses past experiences to propel his present.

Hip-Hop is his muse, and now Doughbeezy opens up to AllHipHop.com:

AllHipHop.com: Hailing from Houston, Texas, by way of Cleveland, Ohio, you’ve had the ability to be influenced by some iconic Hip-Hop legends. Everyone from Scarface, Bun B, K-Rhino, the S.U.C., and Devin the Dude represent Houston. How has Houston’s culture affected you as a lyricist and as a man?

Doughbeezy: As far as it inspiring my music, that’s where all my music comes from [the South]. A lot of folks tell me that since I was born on the East – Ohio and stuff – that my spitting comes from Bone [Thugs ‘N Harmony] and that type of stuff. But all my music is influenced, and the culture that I’m trying to bring is coming from Houston. As far as my shine, that’s where all my influences come from.

I’ve been in Houston since I was 13, that’s all I know. I feel like I was raised here; I became a man here. That’s just pretty much what it is. I love Cleveland; that’ll always be my home, and my birth town. I was born out there, but I was raised out here in Houston; so, that’s all I know.

AllHipHop.com: Currently, some very talented artists and groups – such as HISD, DeLorean,  Killa Kyleon, Mr. Lucci,  Kirko [Bangz], LOEGz, and Dorrough – continue to reemphasize that Texas has talent. How do you create “working” relationships, but still focus on you and your camp?

Doughbeezy: I think it just comes with the territory. You can’t progress in Houston, or progress in Texas, and not run across these people. Just doing what I’m doing, every single name that you named, I’ve ran across them. Like I said, you can be progressing and not run across these people. We’re going to be put on the same show, or we’re going to be at the same event or the same showcase, and I guarantee I’ll run across one of those names. It’s all a part of the progression. The more that you progress, the more that you’ll start to see that’s doing big things in your state as well.

AllHipHop.com: Perspective is everything. This year, your artistic efforts have received tremendous support. Your song “My Car” was on MTV. You’ve been featured in many respected Hip-Hop outlets, from Shade 45’s “All Out Show” to BallerStatus.com. Plus, you were invited to participate in the Southern portion of the Smoker’s Club Tour. Was there ever a time where you considered walking away from the booth? Who and or what events reinforced your loyalty to making Hip-Hop?

Doughbeezy: Right about the time before my buzz came, I was actually going through a little depression phase. It was about 2012. I had wanted to stop. Everybody had been telling me that I was tripping. They were like, ‘You done came too far to want to quit now. You have too much talent to quit now.’ That was coming from my family and my supporters that were around me.

Once I really had to come to the point where I had to make that decision, I asked myself, ‘To say that I failed, have I really gave it my all?’ The answer was no; so, I decided that I would give it my all and give it everything that I got. That was right around the time where Kickback Sundays [a live MC battle showcase held at SF2, a local Houston clothing store]. From our last interview, I remember telling you about that. There was the Kickback Sundays and the Best Rapper in Texas [contest], and once I gave it my all and started hitting those competitions like that, that’s when the buzz started coming and sh*t. And here we are today.

AllHipHop.com: At times, Hip-Hop can transform into a demanding profession. The culture is encompassing, and the supports want to feel included in your actions. As you continue to contribute your creativity, how are you learning to safeguard your emotional, physical, and spiritual health to ensure that you’re around for years to come?

Doughbeezy: To be honest, I’m learning that as I’m going. Like as you said, earlier with the Smoker’s Club [tour], I literally pushed my body to the limit; folks around me know that I don’t really sleep much, and I don’t eat much. So, I tried going on the road doing that same thing with not eating and not sleeping – going and doing all that stuff during the day, and staying on the road, and trying to perform. Giving it my all on stage every night, it took a toll on my body. I just learned, and I know now, that the next time that I’m on the road that I have to keep track and take better care of my body, you know what I’m saying? It’s all with timing. As we learn and progress as we go, you can’t do the little sh*t like that, like we used to do. We have to take better care of our bodies, drink water, and get sleep. Get a whole lot of Vitamin C and that type of stuff. We’re learning as we’re going.

I don’t carry a Bible with me, but I’m very spiritual. I give all thanks to God. Every morning when I wake up, on Twitter I type #Blessed. I say a prayer when I wake up and before I go to sleep. When I’m on the road – it don’t matter if I’m going out of town, or if I’m just going up the street to the corner store – I always pray for safe travel. No matter what, what I’m doing or where I’m going, I just try to stay deep in prayer. I realize that I wouldn’t be nowhere close to where I’m at now if it wasn’t for God. Any time and every day, I’m always giving thanks to God. I try to keep God real close, keep our relationship pretty tight.

AllHipHop.com: Until the next time, what projects should your supporters anticipate? What’s the status on Reggie Bush And Kool Aid 2? Did Bully And The Beast with Kab Tha Don drop?

Doughbeezy: The status on that Reggie Bush And Koolaid 2, we’re probably looking at the drop around January or February. We’re riding out that Blue Magic as long as possible. We’re trying to make sure that everything is wrapped up [properly] on that Reggie Bush And Koolaid 2. We’re trying to time the release around the All-Star game. You know All-Star is coming to Houston; so you know there’s going to be a lot of things going on by folks around this way. So, we’re just trying to push the momentum over into next year. We got a lot coming, so we gotta keep mashing out. We’ll probably start promotion for it in December. Just keep mashing!

Bully And The Beast, we are still working on it. Me and Kab, we’re trying to make sure that we get everything together. With how good things have been going for the both of us, our schedules have been super crazy. Kab is doing real good right now himself. So, it’s like, we’re just trying to find the timing – and drop a classic when we do drop it.

I just wanna say that I appreciate everyone that’s been rocking with me, from day one until day now. I just wanna say I appreciate it, and keep mashing and keep trying to hold it down for all the supporters. Man, keep rocking with your boy, Doughbeezy. Doughbeezy.com, we out here!

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is EPMD’s#### Squad Still Beefing?

I heard a lil rumor! I don’t know if you know this but…wait a sec…

Do you know who the Hit Squad is? EPMD, Redman, K-Solo, Das EFX, Keith Murray, DJ Scratch? I heard a rumor about them on the heels of their recent show on the East Coast in Newark, NJ. Anyway, these dudes are the best of the best lyrically. While they may have had varying degrees of relevance, they are all dope. As a crew they were unstoppable. But, EPMD broke up and the crew split in half. Neither side was what the collective sum was…but that’s another story. So, a year or so ago, they got back together and started to tour as a unit.

And the tour has carried on as usual. BUT, I heard these dudes still don’t really get along all that well and most are deeply bitter towards each other for some reason or another. I heard that just about everybody is type-upset with EPMD, because at the time of the legendary group’s break up, this was the strongest crew in Hip-Hop. After, a lot of powerful regimes emerged. Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith (EPMD) eventually reunited but they never fully captured the magic. I also heard its mostly “strictly business” and not very “personal,” if you catch that pun. They are still one of the best group’s ever. Anyway, read up on these dudes. They had street beef on the real before it was all over TMZ.

Here are some EPMD / Hit Squad bangers:

Hip-Hop Rumors: Shots Fired! The Game Disses Shyne In New Rap!

What’s beef? Beef is when a dude deported from America still can manage to get a buzz! The Game and Shyne have been going back and forth for quite some time, but now it has come to a full head! Sorta. You know the background on this story. Basically, Shyne ridiculously dissed Kendrick Lamar’s album as terrible and The Game got p#####. Game basically said he would give Shyne the old “40 Glocc treatment” if he came to Cali. Kendrick is well protected! Anyway, Shyne dissed The Game in a tweet, calling him “bi-polar” and The Game drops a diss video in the form of a freestyle. Check it.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Breath Easy! No Drake Sex Tape!

DRAKE SEX TAPE? NOT ACCORDING TO ILLSEED!

Whew! Yesterday, another site started some mess about there being a Drake sex tape! Well, I didn’t want a few hundred dudes to throw up at the same time so I didn’t report the rumor. But, I can report to subsequent rumor on the rumor.

I heard there is no actual sex tape or that its really unlikely. I didn’t see it, but apparently there is a pic to back up the rumor. From what I was told, it doesn’t look like Drake. We can all collectively release a sign of relief…even Drake.

“Church Is In Your Heart”: Young Turk On Being Freed and Being Free

Former Cash Money Hot Boy “Young Turk” is hitting the ground running and not wasting a minute getting back on his grind, after spending the better half of the last decade in a federal prison.

Incarcerated from an incident which left his two-bedroom apartment riddled with bullets from a shootout with cops, the rapper says he used his time to go to war with his own demons and become the man he was called to be. Now he’s free, and he has chronicled his journey in a book and screenplay. Turk spoke with AllHipHop.com about the police, who his real friends are, and his gratitude to God for his road to redemption:

AllHipHop.com: Welcome home!

Turk: Fa sho. That’s what’s up.

AllHipHop.com: When you first came home, I noticed within the first 72 hours you had a post up of you at church. Was that a pact you made with God?

Turk: You know, when you goin’ through them transitions, and you been in the Pen or anything that’s humbling, you gonna seek and get low – and that’s what happened. You know, I’ve always believed in God; that ain’t something that just happened. I just got closer to Him, and I know I can’t do nothing without Him ’cause I know how good he’s been in my life.

I said the first thing I’m gonna do is go to church, and I went this Sunday and I’m going every Sunday no matter where I’m at. If I got a show somewhere, I’m gonna find somebody’s church. Church is just the building, though. Church is in your heart. It’s in saying my prayers, and reading my Word every morning I wake up, and me and my girl, we pray together, ya know? They say a family that prays together stays together.

AllHipHop.com: You mentioned your girl. Did she go through your whole time with you?

Turk: Yeah, she did the whole time. She was coming to visitation, getting searched and stripped, whatever she had to go through to see me. Going to courthouses, visiting lawyers, going to the appeals courts – everything I was doing on the inside she was doing on the outside. So, it’s like we both were locked up for eight years, eight months, and 16 days, so I thank God for her.

AllHipHop.com: Let’s rewind for those who don’t know exactly what happened to you. What were you charged with?

Turk: I had possession of a firearm and attempted murder in 2004, and one thing led to another, and its almost been nine years, and it’s old. It’s something I wrote about in my book; it was a time in my life when I was just goin’ through certain things, and I had to suffer the consequences of when that occurred.

But I’m past it now, and you’re not supposed to look backwards, and I’d rather not talk about it, because I documented it in my book. And every question that a person would have about that situation is in the book exclusive. They can get it and read it over and over again, and they can hear it on audio if they want. As far as me speaking about it, I believe that the power of life and death is in the tongue, and so me speaking on the past, I don’t want the past to come back and haunt me.

AllHipHop.com: When is your book coming out?

Turk: It’s coming out next year. We’re in negotiations with a few people; we’re just waiting on that big check, whoever cuts that big check. We aren’t gonna go with just anybody, though. That’s why it’s exclusive; everybody’s been asking and trying to get the scoop, but I can’t give everything.

AllHipHop.com: Is Baby’s publishing company one of the company’s your in talks with?

Turk: Like I said, I’m in talks with whoever sees my vision and is not gonna try to edit my words out. I don’t want it to be changed, so whoever can see that vision, that’s who I’m going with and whoever cuts the big check.

AllHipHop.com: I understand you want to save it all for the book, but I have to know what was going through your mind with SWAT beating on your door and bullets flying everywhere. What were you feeling?

Turk: It’s crazy, scary, all that, because you never know who’s who or what’s what. But like I say, you gotta get the book, ’cause if I told you, I’d ruin it.

AllHipHop.com: We often here of the gang life in jail. Did you ever get caught up in any of that?

Turk: Nah, I’m too much of a boss to be affiliated with anything. If anything, people be affiliated with me, and that’s this YNT, Young N Thuggin Empire, where visions get inspired. So, for me to just follow the leader, I would never do that. I’m the leader.

AllHipHop.com: Did you keep in contact with Baby and Wayne?

Turk: I really was just doing my time. Here and there, I’d hit them up and talk to them, but I know they was out grinding. And I talk to a few other artists as well, just to keep that inspiration and motivation going as well, ’cause you need to hear other people doing good things in order to stay focused – because you’ll be miserable in there if you don’t have some type of enlightenment.

AllHipHop.com: Did any of your celebrity friends write or put money on your books?

Young Turk

Turk: Yeah, my n*gga T.I., Rocko, Trae Tha Truth, Paul Wall, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, BG. You know, free BG, before he got locked up, he was holding me down, keeping it 10 times 100. It was a lot of people, man. Waka Flocka, people just respecting me, people I ain’t even know personally. Just outta respect and ’cause they real n*ggas, they reached out to me with love. Like I say, it all goes back to God’s favor.

AllHipHop.com: Do you feel like you would’ve ever kicked your drug habit had you not went to jail?

Turk: Sad to say, but no. I don’t think I would’ve ever stopped, because I had plenty opportunity to stop. I’ve been in plenty of rehabs. I been incarcerated but not did time in New Orleans, and everytime I say I’m gonna stop and come home and do it again, and it wouldn’t take a week or two.

This time, I been home two weeks, and I ain’t done nothing. I been clean nine years, but I been clean two weeks on the street, and I know that I can handle it now, ’cause I would’ve been did it. My mind is made up; I’m a changed man now. I know who I am now. I know how many people are affected by my actions, so I watch what I do and watch what I say and keep it movin’.

When I first went to jail, I was an immature young dude trying to find himself, having an identity crisis. I didn’t know if I wanted to be a rapper or a drug addict. But now, I know that I’m a businessman, I’m a father, I’m about to be a husband, I’m about to get married. I’m a big brother; I’m an inspiration to people. I’m a chosen vessel, so now, I’m more responsible and focused on what I have to do.

AllHipHop.com: So, having gone through all that and based on your personal change, how does it make you feel to hear Lil Wayne and others glorify gang life in their music, and is your music gonna change?

Turk: Nah, nah, it ain’t gonna change my music, because like I say, everybody gotta go through their own personal experiences. And I don’t knock nobody for what they do, and I don’t judge anybody, ’cause I did what I did. But it comes a time when your gonna be held accountable for it, so before someone becomes accountable, I try to tell them just what it is and what it ain’t. I’m gonna be straight up with em like six o’clock.

But gang life, drug life, any kind of life that’s not pleasing in God’s eyesight, you gonna have to suffer for it. I don’t want to sound all ‘holier than thou,’ but you gotta respect the laws, because EVERYTHING is governed by law. And you gotta respect that, or you will eventually suffer the consequences, because it’s real.

AllHipHop.com: What do you think about BG’s sentence?

Turk: I mean, BG, that’s my guy; it’s just his time to transition. He’s got to go through his trials and tribulations. It’s time for him to clean up and get his mind right and his heart right. Line his heart and his mind up together, ’cause he’s a good dude. He’s a giving dude; I got nothing but love for BG. There’s plenty days I called him, and he did what he said he was going to do – not only for me, but for anybody I asked him to do it for, know what I’m saying?

He came and did a show for me and gave me all the proceeds. A lot of people wouldn’t have done that. But he came and did that, and I’ll return the favor being the type of person I am and support his “Free BG” movement, and prayerfully, he’ll be out here sooner than later. I had 22 years and gave 12 years back by the grace of God, and he got 14 years,so maybe he’ll do two more years and come back home. But you gotta have your heart and your mind right. If you don’t have that, it’s gonna be confusion, so we just gonna push like that.

AllHipHop.com: When you heard the judge say your sentence is 22 years of your life, did you think you were going to possibly die in jail?

Turk: No, that wasn’t my thought. I didn’t see no time; I saw a fight, and I knew from my studying that there’s a possibility that I could be found guilty. But it’s also possible for me to get my time overturned on appeal, because the higher courts deal with the law, and the law says I’m innocent but morally to some people, I’m guilty. Morally to me, I’m innocent. I just thank God that there are some people who are honest in some things and allowed me to get that time back to be out here, talking to y’all today, because the court system is wicked.

AllHipHop.com: Well, you clearly have some Godly protection over your life, because I read there were approximately 168 bullet holes in your walls.

Turk: Man, I’m just gonna say I was blessed. A person might not understand why I talk about God so hard when I do interviews, because you have these so-called rappers and they hard. I was a hard rapper, too, but at the end of the day, I know how to get soft for God, ’cause He is real.

That’s why I respect DMX; he talks about God a lot, and I understand him and I am looking forward to one day working with him, because we relate to one another. We went on tour during the Rough Rider tour, but we never got a chance to talk. But hearing his story and seeing his struggles, we went through the same thing; mine just wasn’t televised until I caught this charge. But I’m here for him if he ever needs me to be.

Check for new projects from Young Turk. His upcoming album, the Blame It on the System mixtape with Drumma Boy, and his Thugology book and screenplay are all slated for release in 2013.

Lawyer Who Worked With Rappers Eminem, 50 Cent, Busted With Arsenal Of Weapons

(AllHipHop News) A lawyer who wants represented superstar rappers Eminem and 50 Cent is in a serious legal quandary, after police raided his home and found an arsenal of weapons.

Police in Bronxville, New York arrested Randall Cutler on November 1, after a domestic violence call to his residence during an incident in which Cutler allegedly threatened his brother with a gun.

Later, authorities obtained a search warrant for Cutler’s mansion and they were shocked at what they found.

Cutler, who also represented White Plains, New York Mayor Adam Bradley, was charged with multiple weapons violations, after police found an AK-47, a TEC-9 handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in his multimillion dollar mansion.

The incident shocked residents in the pricey neighborhood, who are calling on the Mayor to address the amount of illegal weapons Cutler had stocked up.

“It’s surprising, disturbing and shocking that someone in Bronxville could have amassed such a great number of weapons,” Bronxville resident Jim George said. “You don’t want this kind of thing to happen anywhere, but it’s certainly very unusual to have happened in Bronxville. It’s just not something I should have to think about.”

Cutler will appear in local court on Wednesday, November 21.
