Rémy Martin Cognac Launches Special-Edition Robin Thicke Bottle
Rémy Martin Cognac announced the release of its Robin Thicke limited-edition bottle. The Rémy Martin V.S.O.P. bottle received a holiday inspired makeover inspired by Robin Thicke’s sultry voice and soulful character.The new limited-edition bottle features Robin Thicke’s signature and musical stylings and is clad in red for the holiday festivities. Smartphone users will be able to check out exclusive content through quick-response technology on the gift box.
The 750-ml bottle is available at wine and spirit stores across the United States with a suggested retail price of $40.
Mixtape Review: Curren$y’s “Priest Andretti”
When Dr. Dre planted Chronic seeds into ears of Hip-Hop culture, he was only trying to depict a day in the life of Los Angeles, California. Fast-forward two decades later, “Stoner rap” has grown almost into a genre all to itself, thanks to Hip-Hop cannabis connoisseurs like Wiz Khalifa and Smoke DZA.
Although a few of these MCs have refuted their music being dubbed only “Stoner rap”, the common theme of weed nonetheless resonates immensely with a wide range of audiences, giving the stressed-out hustler, financially-struggling single mom, or even the 70-year-old flower child all something to fly to. Yet, after some of the smoke cleared, the buds of “Stoner rap” seemed to be cashed due to its lack of depth and redundant marijuana themes. But just when it seems like the popular genre is endangered of being a trend, leave it to Curren$y to find slicker ways on how to describe the high life.
For his newest release Priest Andretti (just in time for Halloween), Spitta inhales the classic pimp attitude of the Blaxplotation film era to blow out some of his most potent bars since 2010’s Pilot Talk. After catching some contact smoke with his Jet Life signees Trademark Da Skydiver and Fiend on the skippable “Contacts”, Curren$y fires the jets on haters who now want a cut of his current success on “Money Machine Part 2” (“JETS in the house B*tch, you ain’t help us move in / So why you got your hands out now stupid?/ Had you played your role, you would have got your credit at the end of the movie”)
On “Max Julian”, grooving bass and licking guitars send Curren$y on a braggadocios cruise that would have the original Max Julian who played in the pimp classic, The Mack, screaming “CHUUUCH!” Surprisingly, the Jet Life general also displays his No Limit roots on “Trip to London” and “Stainless”. The usually mellow Fiend’s impression of Mystikal is a little farfetched on “Trip to London”, but you almost expect to hear Master P’s trademark ad-lib on the piano keys and claps of “Stainless”.
Ironically, although Curren$y’s trademark laidback flow has some fine moments on Priest Andretti, it gets even more interesting when New Orleans MC gets a little more gutter. Dirty kick drums and echoing voices set a dark mood on “Talk My Sh*t”, as Spitta does just that (“B*****s on chemicals, moving bodies/ sensual, sexual, cynical/ Octop***y, kill the tentacles”).
When trading bars with Styles P and Noreaga on “Boss Dealings”, Curren$y outshines both of the vets with vivid schemes that makes it apparent that he is not the one to be slept on (“Pinky ring frozen/ Cuban link golden/ Only built for sh*t the n*ggas kill for/ Audio Dope, flyest as anything you never saw/ forever raw”). The wordplay only gets better on “Cleopatra Zones”, which finds Fiend struggling to keep up with Spitta’s game raps through lazy bass and soothing saxophones (“Style too cold to be stole, you’ll get frost bite/ I’m often imitated but they never copyright”).
It’s a shame that the only thing holding Priest Andretti back from being one Curren$y’s best works are the throwaway features from Fiend, Cornerboy P, and even King Chip who surprisingly disappoints on “For Seasons”. But don’t hate the player, hate the game. By keeping his pen-game hand strong on Priest Andretti, Curren$y once again proves that as long he keeps reinventing his strand of “Stoner rap,” his fans will keep coming back for a hit.

Born and raised in Athens, GA, the third of seven children, Buffie Carruth had a very humble upbringing. Coming from a very close-knit family, she was all too familiar with the struggle and hardship of not having much but the necessities. Her younger sister passed away from cancer in 2005, and her mother lost her battle with the illness in 2012. Those two tragedies have been the most confusing and trying moments of her life.
In 2005, Buffie hired a photographer to do a swimsuit shoot, just to have photos to give to her boyfriend as a gift. Without her knowledge or consent, the photographer posted the photos online. Little did she know, those very same pictures would be the catalyst for the “Buffie the Body” phenomenon, and her road to industry stardom began. Never aspiring to be a “video vixen,” she took this blessing and has never looked back.
Magazine after magazine (with over 12 covers), countless radio requests, an abundance of hosting gigs, movie offers, and TV appearances thrust Buffie on a whirlwind of popularity and worldwide travel for the seven years that followed. “Buffie the Body” became an internet sensation, a top video vixen, and one of, if not, the #1 household name in urban modeling.
Embracing the fact that women always approached her for advice on keeping in shape, Buffie decided that she had accomplished as much as she could in the Hip-Hop world and transitioned into the health and fitness industry. Buffie recognized a niche market within African American community: women with curves, and their need for exercise guidance. She knew there was a massive void in the health, wellness and fitness industry, for women with an ample backside, given their lack of knowledge about exercise and eating habits. Moreover, she noticed that there is a big misconception that one has to be thin, with very few curves, to be considered fit and healthy.
Shortly after making an appearance on the “Tyra Banks Show” in 2007, and realizing her impact she made on her body’s transformation topic, she started Bodynomics.com. She then began her research head on, reading and speaking with fitness trainers in order to obtain the tools needed to bring awareness to the masses. In 2012, she became a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through The National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Buffie’s future plans are to produce her own line of fitness DVDs, traveling the world to promote health and fitness, as well as to launch a fitness segment on television. She strives to fill that void and teach women the “real deal.”
In spite of all the fame and credentials, Buffie Carruth wants to be remembered as a relentless and hard working woman, who may have been introduced to the world because of her voluptuous ASSets, but is currently enhancing the world with her work ethic and overall eager attitude on making our women more aware of their health and bodies. She’s confident that her past celebrity background can educate, empower and inspire more women to get active and to live healthier lifestyles.

The Science Behind The “Top 5 Dead or Alive”: Breaking Down the DNA of Your D.O.A.
“Top 5, dead or alive, and that’s just off one LP.” – Jadakiss
Everywhere we turn these days, there’s a list. David Letterman is famous for his Top 10 list, as Johnny Carson made famous before him. It would seem that so more lists are being pumped out, than articles. Whether it’s a top 10 of Lebron James dunks, or the top 10 times Hex Murda said “No” on Twitter, there’s no doubt this trend isn’t going anywhere.
But ultimately, if you’re Hip-Hop, there’s only one list that matter. And that is your “Top 5 Dead or Alive”. The “Top 5 Dead or Alive” comprises of a group of MCs who made the deepest impact on our lives. Our Top 5 DOA is our Hip-Hop DNA. It is our passion, our reference point. One thing it is NOT is who you believe are the five, best MCs ever. Especially if your favorite MC is left off your list.
Here are some of the unspoken jewels surrounding the list: Only ‘5’ matters. Don’t tell us a thing about your #8 MC. Nobody cares. Your credibility is on the line through your ‘5’. So yes, friendships begin and end on your ‘5’. Because the MCs on your list say everything about you.
The science behind your list reflects your influences, talking points, lyrical region of choice, decade of choice, age bracket (depending on your favorite artist and when their last high point was), and in some cases, which version of an artist you prefer. For example, you have the Backpack version of Kanye West and the Luxury Rap version. You could miss me with the Luxury Rap version, but hey, he’s not in my Top 5 anyway.
I’ll use my Top 5 as an example to breakdown.

Below are the three categories we’ll breakdown our ‘5’ into: the type of list, the region, and the era.
The Science behind my list is: Technicians List > Northeast > ’90s
First of all, when I told Chuck D that he was still in my Top 5, #1 to be exact, he went on a 15-minute spiel about why he shouldn’t be after 20 years. He made an excellent argument about how eras change, environments change, movements change, and how all those things should lead to change in my ‘5’. He was right. But when it was all said and done, Chuck D’s lyrics and presence made the largest impact on the person I am today. Read my work, and tell me that it doesn’t defy the status quo just as Chuck D has.
My Top 5 DOA is a “Technicians List”. From top to bottom, minus what some would call “Pause Worthy” lyrics from DMX, it’s built on the pen. Any one of my picks could step into a cipher and stop everything. Excluding Eminem, my list is “Northeast” heavy; 3 from NYC (two from Queens), and who I feel is Jersey’s greatest MC to date, Redman (a slot I feel Joe Budden will someday take). Eminem is on record for owing a lot to Redman as a lyrical inspiration (Ludacris as well). No one on my list entered the industry after 2000. Four on my list entered in the ’90s (Chuck D, the Golden Era). I’m analytical, passionate, and very direct about my message.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep Has An Epiphany On Voting, President Barack Obama and The U.S.
My father’s side of the family being dark-skinned blacks from the south and my mother’s side being very light-skinned half black half caucasian from Ireland. This gave me examples of racism from both sides. My mother’s side was hated on by darker skinned blacks for being lighter with hazel eyes, and my father’s side hated on by whites.
J. Cole Announces Release Date For New Album
(AllHipHop News) J. Cole has revealed the release date of his next album, titled Born Sinner.
The sophomore release is set for January 28, 2013, where the rapper revealed in a Ustream video and subsequent viral video.
The rapper’s first album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, went gold and was well received commercially and critically.
The date is set as it is, because January 28 is also the Roc Nation emcee’s 28th birthday.
Cole and Kendrick Lamar also have an album set in the near future, but no date has been set.
Hip-Hop Rumors: Juvenile “Re-Unites” With Lil’ Wayne & Cash Money
Yesterday, we reported on a semi-controversial interview that Juvenile did with Complex, where he revealed that there was still a lot of turmoil when it came to his feelings about Cash Money.

Well, as it turns out, things have changed for the better, and Juvenile no longer holds any ill will toward Lil’ Wayne, Birdman, or anyone from Cash Money. E-40 Talks Elections and Voting As Double Album “History” With Too $hort Lands In Stores
(AllHipHop News) President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are not the only two people who hope to make history today (November 6), as the race to the White House climaxes and millions head to the polls to vote.
Rap pioneers E-40 and Too $hort have released their landmark double album History: Function & Mob Music.
E-40 took the time to discuss the importance of voting, and the presidential elections, which take place the same day as the release of History: Function & Mob Music.
“I’m voting for President Obama Because he has made great progress in cleaning up the mess Bush left us with,” E-40 told AllHipHop.com. “I can see him achieving even more in the next four years.”
Today is also a big day for E-40 since the double album with Too $hort was over 10 years in the making.
“It’s hitting so many areas of Hip-Hop,” E-40 said of the double album. “This ain’t never been done before. Just know, we’re game spitters. We did us, we didn’t try to do like everyone else. We got something to say in every song. This is a classic album no matter how you slice it. We’re making it cool to be in your 40s and make music. We’re making History.”
History: Function & Mob Music features a number of Hip-Hop notables, including Wiz Khalifa, Tyga, Ice Cube, Travis Porter, Kurupt, B-Legit and numerous others.
The rap legends just released a new video titled “Slide Through” featuring Tyga.
Lustful Lessons: Bobby V and Red Cafe Team Up for “Role Play” Video
Singer Bobby V has just released the visual for his foreplay-enthused single “Role Play”, featuring rapper Red Cafe. This is the second official single from V’s latest album, Dusk Til Dawn.
This the first of two videos, as Bobby V puts the finishing touches on his most recent shoot with singer K. Michelle, the sexy “Put It In”.

The Double Rush directed video was filmed in NYC and NJ just before the destruction that Sandy caused to the region. The highly-anticipated “Life is Good/Black Rage” Concert tour headlined by Nas and Lauryn Hill (on select dates), with opening act Jhene Aiko, is halfway done, and audiences across the country have been enjoying the epic pairing.
AllHipHop.com caught the Atlanta date just a few days ago at the famed venue, The Tabernacle. The sold-out crowd was way “turnt up” for the Queensbridge headliner.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is It Really Illegal To Post A Photo Of Your Ballot?
Have you voted yet? If not, please head down to your nearest polling location and make it happen. Our future depends on it! Okay, so there is a huge rumor running rampant on the ‘net about posting a photo of your election ballot onto social networking sites. People are saying that it is illegal, and if you do so, your vote can be disqualified.
Now, this is a huge deal because everyone is doing it – not just celebrities like Beyonce and Mariah Carey, but tons of everyday citizens are showing pride that they voted and posting pics of their ballots. So, will these ballots be disqualified?
Our homegirl Jasmine Brand did the legwork for us and discovered that it is actually illegal in NY for voters to show their ballots publicly. Check out a screen shot of the law below:
Now, if that isn’t the most useless law ever! So our beautiful Bey did break the law after all. This law is actually valid in a large amount of the country, so check out if your state applies below:
But, does this mean her vote is disqualified? It doesn’t say anything about that, but just for security, I would advise you all not to post your ballots online. It is illegal to do so in many states, even after the election is over. Better safe than sorry!
