Exclusive Rumor: Promoter Says Drake Flaked On Multi-Million Dollar Chris Brown Fight!

There was a full $10 Million on the line for Chris Brown and Drake to fight in a celebrity charity. $10 MILLION! All they had to do was go at it for 3 rounds with head gear and all that. But, that fight will not happen, according to a promoter. The promoter Damon Feldman told illseed.com exclusively that the fight was made and Chris Brown was down, but Drake pumped the brakes.

“Drake won’t box. He said he doesn’t want to go that rout. So he basically punked out. There will be no fight now. I’m p##### now,” Feldman told illseed.com. It would have settled their grudge and helped charities. I’m real p##### that Chris Brown wanted this and everything was set,” Feldman said from a plane to another engagement.

There you have it folks. No fight. There could have been, says the promoter but there will be none. I’m not sure that either man wanted this, but who knows.

Word on the street Feldman has been trying to get The Game and 40 Glocc in the ring as well, but is having similar issues.

Chicago, Colorado and Compton: Do Movies or Rap Music Make Murderers?

“But still my story ain’t over/ ’cause I got one more to tell/And the people of Colorado, they know it well” – “Jus Lyke Compton”, DJ Quik

During a recent debate on a Chicago radio station, community activist Kwabena Rasuli got into a heated argument with Hip-Hop artist, Krazy Keith, blaming his new song , “Murda 4 Fun”, for the rising murder rate in his the city this summer. Just like a game of chess, for every point Kwabena raised about rap music and violence, Keith hit him with a counterpoint defending his music as only entertainment. After an hour of arguing, Kwabena made his power move and pulled out a long list of murder statistics. But Keith countered with, “At least we don’t dress up like comic book villains and murder people in movie theaters!”

Checkmate.

According to Hip-Hop apologists, rap music gets unfairly blamed for every social ill in America , whether it be drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, or violence. And you can bet 20 years from now, they are going to use the recent, tragic murder of moviegoers at The Dark Knight Rises showing in Aurora, Colorado by some kook dressed up like “The Joker” as part of their defense of the violent lyrics that plague much of commercial Hip-Hop.

For years, we have heard the excuse from rappers “y’all don’t say nuthin’ when ‘The Terminator’ and ‘Rambo’ kill a hundred people in their movies…” Yeah, but I don’t recall Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone shootin’ at each other across a strip club parking lot, either. But I get the point.

Truth is, in some ways they are are right. But in other ways, they are dead wrong.

Since The Sugar Hill Gang dropped “Rappers Delight” 30 years ago, America has had a love/hate relationship with rap music. They love the songs; they just hate the singers. Even when a Hip-Hop artist amasses a fortune and moves from Harlem to the Hamptons, some still feel “you can take the boy out the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out the boy.”

Even before the first gangsta rap CD was made, the threat of potential violence hampered many of the first Hip-Hop tours. In many cities, the media acted like one of the Fat Boys was gonna jump off stage and beat some kid, unmercifully, for his hot dog. Sometimes the violence did happen. Most of the time, it didn’t.

Some may, also, remember a time when the threat of violence prevented the first rap movies from being seen at any theaters outside of “urban” areas. As if Shelia E’s wack performance of “Hollyrock” in Krush Groove was gonna make outraged Hip-Hop fans start a riot at the concession stand. Despite the hype of the era, I was able to watch The Dis-orderlies, and enjoy my popcorn just fine.

It wasn’t until the ’90s when ‘hood flicks became cross- over blockbusters and movies like Boys in the Hood started peakin’ middle America’s fascination with gang violence in Compton that the films started playing in Peoria.

Despite the contradictions between the public perception of violence in movies and murda music that some Hip-Hop fans attempt to expose, there is a difference.

First, there aren’t thousands of people across the country walkin’ the streets dressed like Dr. Doom, but you can go to any ‘hood in the USA and see kids lookin’ like clones of their favorite rappers – with artist “Cash Out” braggin’ about “ridin’ around with that nina (nine millimeter)“ blastin’ thru their Beats by Dre headphones.

Secondly, we still live in a world where the young Black male is the usual suspect. Just ask the brotha sitting on death row because of a case of “they-all-look-alike mistaken identity.” Or the high school honor roll student who gets trailed by a gang of rent-a-cops as soon as he enters the food court at the mall. In many cases, the Hip-Hop image has made it easier for young Black men to be guilty until proven innocent.

Also, many people in this country follow the classic line from The Godfather – “they’re animals anyway so let them lose their souls.” So, while shootings at Columbine or Virginia Tech are forever mourned as tragedies, seven-year-old girls getting shot on the streets of Chi-Town are written off as “that’s just the way those people get down.” There is a big difference between random acts of violence, and children gettin’ caught up in drive-bys being viewed as a normal everyday thing.

Back in ’92, DJ Quik asked on “Just Lyke Compton,” “How could a bunch of suckas in a town like this have such a big influence on brothas so far away?” In retrospect, the song seems like a spooky premonition of how gangsta rap was going to impact the world.

But since 99 percent of the violence in rap music is Black-on-Black, few folks outside the ‘hood seem to care. Out of site, out of mind.

If there is any common denominator between rap music and the murders in Aurora, it would be that the movie’s maker, Warner Brothers, also makes Hip-Hop music. While the company cannot control the actions of every sicko with a gun who decides to shoot up a theater showing one of their films, they can control the music they choose to release. If Warner Brothers can cancel Dark Night movie premiers in countries around the world because of the Colorado tragedy, then they can put a moratorium on the music that promotes the Black-on-Black violence happening in Chicago and every ‘hood in America.

A few years back, Wyclef Jean said on “The Industry”:

“Black on Black crime needs to stop/y’all can’t blame it on Hip-Hop”

Sometimes we can’t, Clef. Sometimes we can….

Exclusive Hip-Hop Rumor: Is Soulja Boy The Next Rapper To Join Reality TV?

Word on the street is that Soulja Boy is looking to expand his portfolio and may be producing a reality TV show starring him. Our source tells us that Soulja Boy wants to be your next “reality TV star” and hopes to “bank as much as Kim Kardashian.”

Soulja Boy shot himself into fame using his YouTube channel, and he feels like he can “resurge” his career as a reality TV star with rapper/ girlfriend Diamond by his side.

Diamond was an original cast member of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”, but dropped out of the show after her ex-boyfriend Scrappy and his mother were added to the cast. Diamond was recently on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and spoke about a possible reality show starring her and Soulja Boy. Check out what she said below:

“That has came up a lot…I’m still debating. It’s tricky. You still gotta have that mystique about you and being an artist already established, it depends on how its played out. You can’t play with your career like that. Now, if you’re a person that’s just coming up, you’re a fresh face, then you can build off of that, but if you’re an established artist, it has to be done in a certain light. Maybe you’re showing others how to come up in the rap game or something. I know it’s gonna be drama regardless but if its on a certain level, then yeah. You gon’ have real stuff. People gon’ argue. People gon’ fight. It is what it is. But if its not set up to where its b.s., and you just let it flow then yea and if the money right.”

So she is confirming that they’ve played around with the idea. Hmm, do you want to see Soulja Boy and Diamond’s relationship unfold on reality t.v.? In related news, if you follow “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta”, you know that Scrappy and his mother, Mama Dee, have done a whole lot of talking about Diamond and have made some crazy accusations, including that she is not so fresh in her feminine areas. TMI anyone! Anyway, Diamond spoke out about Mama Dee airing her out. Check out what she said about it below:

“I don’t recall having a problem in that department. We gon overlook that one. Certain stuff you just don’t entertain. I don’t never remember having a problem in that department, so. All i gotta say is, it’s gonna be a time when everybody will understand everything.”

Make sure you check out Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta on VH1 tonight at 8/7c. Sidenote, have you seen Flava of Love and Charm School reality star Shay “Bucky” Johnson on the show? She’s the new girl in Scrappy’s life. Tonight’s episode is going to show Mama Dee warning Bucky about Scrappy’s baby momma, Ericka. Mama Dee seems to like Shay, but I wonder if she knows about her stint on reality tv? Check out an old clip of Shay Johnson getting kicked off of Flava of Love for starting a fight:
Have you seen this Mama Dee?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is 50 Cent Stealing Floyd Mayweather’s Talent?

50 Cent is on pace to be one of the industry’s first Billionaires, and the mogul is trying to accelerate the inevitable with his recent venture into professional boxing. No 50 is not putting on any boxing gloves, instead he will be promoting the matches and has gotten a boxing license under New York State. But get this, the name of his company is TMT (The Money Team). “Money Team” is a term that 50’s best friend and boxing’s main attraction, Floyd Mayweather coined. Floyd has his own promotional company called Mayweather Promotions.

The Bleacher Report is reporting that 50 Cent has his eye on former featherweight world champ Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16 KO) and super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell (20-1, 14 KO). Both fighters were rumored to be signing with Mayweather promotions and were recently seen working out at Mayweather’s gym.

So we have to ask, is 50 Cent stealing Mayweather’s talent from right under his nose while he’s locked behind bars? Maybe this is a joint venture that hasn’t been announced yet. If not, should Mayweather feel some kind of way?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Detroit Thugs Run Up In Rick Ross’s Tour Bus?

YOOOO! Good thing Rick Ross is not the forgiving type! He’d have a lot of reconciling to do with his inner soul. I was JUST told that there was a home invasion on Rick Ross’s tour bus! Now, I don’t know a lot about Detroit THESE DAYS, because I have been informed that its changed a lot. But, from what I heard its very chaotic and desolate. They still crank out some of the dopest rappers so WHAT UP DOE? Nevertheless, the realness of Detroit caught up with Rick Ross first hand and his tour bus suffered. Peep what MediaTakeOut said.

July 22, 2012: Rapper Rick Ross was CAUGHT SLIPPING this weekend in Detroit. You see, he parked his TOUR BUS on the street . . . and as HUNGRY as the streets are in Detroit . . . they thought it was FOOD!!!
The streets say a group of ARMED MEN burst into the bus . . . expecting to take hostages and ROB EVERYONE. Luckily for Rozay and them, no one was on the bus. So the goons STOLE everything they could . . . and BROKE UP ISH when they were done.

No word on whether Rick and his peeps are planning to RETALIATE!!

Also no word if God will forgive on Rozay’s behalf.

Signs The World Is Coming To An End: Rise of the Racist Murderers? Colorado Massacre Killer Hated Lil’ Wayne

First, it was revealed that George Zimmerman had racial motivations for his murder of 16-year-old Trayvon Martin. Now, the former PhD student who killed 12 people at a screening of The Dark Knight Rises, is exposed as a racist as well. Twenty-four-year-old James Eagan Holmes, dressed up as the Joker and opened fire in a movie theater in Colorado just a few days ago. Now it is being revealed that the killer was a racist who hated Lil’ Wayne and African-Americans.

Reuters reports that one of Holmes neighbors recalls a story where she bumped into him at the Zephyr Lounge, and he approahed her after she played a Lil’ Wayne song on the jukebox. The neighbor claims that Holmes made a “racially charged comments about rap” and disapproved of rap music, preferring rock ‘n’ roll instead.

According to reports, Holmes graduated from the University of California-Riverside, and due to the recession, was unable to get a job – resorting to working at McDonald’s for a spell. His neighbors have told the press that “he seemed like a normal dude,” and would sometimes sit on the stoop with a backpack on.

Holmes is currently in police custody and has reportedly been getting death threats in jail. He is charged with killing 12 people, including a six-year-old girl, and injuring 58 others. According to the police, Holmes planned the attack with ‘calculation and deliberation.’ The Denver Post is reporting that he used ammunition methodically ordered over a period of months.

Holmes dressed as the Joker and snuck into the theater through an emergency exit with three weapons, a helmet, and a gas mask. After tossing two gas canister into the theater, Holmes walked up the isle firing at moviegoers. He then put his weapons down and waited for the police in the parking lot of the theater.

When police arrived at his apartments on Friday, the entire place was laced with b#### traps and explosives. Police used robots to set off the explosive b#### traps and and tried to find clues as to why Holmes snapped.

I hope this guy pays the ultimate price for his massacre and gets the maximum punishment.
