Daily Word: Stay High!!!

Greetings and Salutations, my Dons and Divas!

Today's Daily Word is dedicated to staying high! My apologies to those who think I'm referencing a certain herbal substance that requires doctor approval to be legal... Noooo!! I'm talking about keeping your momentum! Often times, we find ourselves motivated, inspired, unstoppable, and ready to take on the world!! We ponder about our course of action and with every ounce of our being, we know that we will be successful! Somewhere between us starting our plan and finishing it we start to lose momentum... We begin to speak to people about our intentions and if they aren't as enthusiastic we begin to doubt ourselves! We start anyway, but if we don't begin seeing immediate progress then the doubting process continues!! Stay High!!

Understand that motivation is a continual process not a one shot deal!! In everything you do you must have Stick-to-itiveness!! It is imperative that you understand that it is always too early to quit! Don't stop until you win!! Keep your enthusiasm, your momentum, and always stay busy!! Idle time lends itself to idle thoughts!! Everything you want is yours if you really want it!! Some make excuses, some make it happen!! Be the latter (ladder) and climb your way to success!! (Notice the word play!! LOL!!)

MGK Inspires Teen with Cerebral Palsy to Walk

(AllHipHop News) Cleveland born, self proclaimed “Wild Boy” Machine Gun Kelly is doing good things for the local community of Cleveland, Ohio.

Cleveland’s Fox 8 News reports that Ryan Hex, a disabled teenager from Brunswick, Ohio, has been inspired to walk by the MGK “Lace Up” movement.

“If you look in the video, there’s a good three, four seconds with no one holding him. He took steps. That’s just insane, man,” said MGK.

The two met at a Blink 182 concert over the summer and since have kept in touch.

“Ryan is not a quitter. He’s never been a quitter. But he is more determined now, he had therapy last night and took 66 steps and was exhausted,” said Ryan’s mother Anita Yex.

One of Hip-Hop’s Biggest Cover Acts Drop Music Video for First (Original) Single:

Sure, it’s extremely “poppy,” made for the mainstream, and most, if not all, of you will never listen to it again, BUT it’s got major radio potential, we’re fans of theirs, and she does go in to spit some fire (cue Da Band’s Dylan voice) about 2:30 into the video. Can she hold her own against your favorite female rapper?

BG Pleads Guilty In Gun Case, Jail Time Certain In March

(AllHipHop News) Former Cash Money records artist BG is facing up to 40 years in prison, after pleading guilty to gun and witness tampering charges yesterday (December 7).

BG, born Christopher Dorsey, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and witness tampering charges, although prosecutors refused to offer the rapper any type of plea deal.

The rapper acknowledged that he was the owner of several guns that were confiscated from a stolen vehicle, during a traffic stop in November of 2009.

During the incident, police recovered found three loaded handguns and two extended magazine clips.

In addition to BG, 27-year-old Jerod Fedison and 17-year-old Demounde Pollard were charged in the case.

Police claim that BG and Fedison, who are both convicted felons, pressured Pollard into taking the gun charges, due to his clean criminal record.

In May, BG was arrested for his role in persuading Pollard to claim ownership of the guns, hence the witness tampering charge.

Fedison recently pleaded guilty to gun and witness tampering charges and was sentenced to a 20-year term.

Pollard reportedly cooperated with authorities and received an 30 month sentence.

BG is facing certain jail time and could receive up to 40 years in prison, when he is sentenced on March 14.
