Police Say Game Not A Suspect In RoseMo Murder

(AllHipHop News) The hip-hop world is buzzing with theories over who may have murdered a man who allegedly assaulted Compton, California rapper Game, but investigators say he is not a suspect.

Jomo Adoula Zambia aka “RoseMo,” was shot and killed in Inglewood on Wednesday (November 3).

RoseMo died after he was shot in the torso.

He crashed his car into an unmarked police cruiser and eventually died in a nearby hospital.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the officer had to be extricated from his vehicle.

He was released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries.

RoseMo was killed just two months after he posted videos of himself bragging about knocking out Game during a confrontation at the Fox Hills Mall, as the rapper was shopping with his son.

RoseMo, who was associated with 1017 Bricksquad, was once again involved in a Twitter feud with Inglewood rapper Boskoe.

CTE affiliated rapper 2Eleven filmed Boskoe being attacked by RoseMo, resulting in Boskoe receiving a broken arm and other injuries.

Although the RoseMo and Game also sent threats back and forth over Twitter, investigators say the rapper is not a suspect as of press time.

“Our investigation is leading us in a different direction,” Police Detective Gabriel De La Torre told the Los Angeles Times.

RoseMo’s murder is the second high-profile death involving a rapper in Inglewood, in the past several months.

In May, Montae “M-Bone” Talbert of the group Cali Swag District was gunned down in Inglewood.

In that unsolved murder, a suspect drove up to M-Bone as he sat in front of eight Inglewood liquor store and shot him twice in the head.

As of press time, police are seeking suspects in the death of RoseMo and M-Bone.

Bullying: How Adults Handle It

“Don’t ever bully anyone. Just so you know, Karma has everybody’s address and a motherf*cking stamp.” – Lady Gaga

Bullies.

Man, bullies are some b*tches, for the most part.

The name of my group is The Invincible Bullies. We’re not b*tches. And, we tend to refer to ourselves as the bullies of the bullies.

Since the inception of the group a couple years ago, we’ve been taking note to the Anti-Bullying movement and felt like it was high time to comment on it. Why? Because of our group’s name! It has been a gift and a curse. We’ve gotten people’s attention in our short trek to the top, but also there has been some kick back too.

Let me run it down for those that may be confused. We represent what the bullied do when their backs are firmly planted on the wall. We fight back, which is contrary to the advice school children get.

My boy D. Ainger has been a producer and artist for the past few years. He’s done work with some of the greatest rappers on Earth, but you would know that. Why? Because there are these gotdamn middlemen that jump in and steal the credit. D clearly had some trust in them, but mostly chalked it up to the game. They continued to knock him around, essentially playing with his life and future. He couldn’t do it anymore as a man. He lashed out and was subsequently blackballed by the cowards that he gave hit songs too. SMH.

I can’t say too much about my boy Cataract, but its the same deal, different industry. He works with the youth in a system that supposed to be helping them, yet they don’t really want to help. As soon as he starts creating change with these kids, they throw their weight around.

I’ve had to go against bullies a good part of my life, mostly resorting to to fighting them. These days, you can’t do that. From what I understand, the kids are forbidden to fight their bullies or they get in trouble too. I won’t comment on the affairs of kids, since I have no kids. But, I will speak on how adults need to handle them.

There is no princiPAL to call when you are getting trounced about in real life. There is almost no alternative but to fight back. And, when I mean, fight….that generally does not mean putting your fist in somebody’s face and pummeling them. But metaphorically, its time for us to kick some a$$.

You can see it all over the place.

The Occupy Movement has firmly planted its position in cities all over the WORLD. People are not taking it. Hell, look at how the NBA owners are doing the players. Most of those ball players don’t get money like Kobe and LeBron. Obama keeps playing nice with the Republicans when we KNOW, he needs to let lose on those bill blockers.

In Hip-Hop, same thing. Slowly, but surely we are seeing the change that we want to be coming true. We see are witnessing the old departing and in with the new. New music, new thinking, new artists to propigate the flowing brains. Not, all is well, but its better than its every been. Our new EP, Camping In A Wasteland (dropping 11/11/11 like the rest of the rap world), says a lot. We’ve got Joell Ortiz and Young Chris on this one and the next one, we’ve already secured some of your favorites. Camping. In. A. Wasteland.

So,its time for us to continue to push forward with our movement…call it the 99% or revolution or an uprising. It doesn’t matter to me as long as we turn the tables and bully the bullies into leveling the playing field!

LETS GET IT!

I want to thanks AllHipHop for letting me write this. Here are a few of our songs.

Daily Word: Occupy Haters! (It’s All Love)

Refuel your life with AllHipHop.com’s new “Daily Word” column from Ash’Cash!

Great morning my Great people!!!

As we wrap up our Occupy Wall Street theme, we are dedicating today’s Daily Word to the most important people in your entire quest for greatness….. HATERS!!!! Whether you know this or not, Haters are your best indication as to what you should or should not be doing! See, your friends and family are great, but they are really biased! They are going to support you (for the most part) no matter what! They are so happy that you are making something happen that they are just excited to be part of your growth.

Haters, on the other hand, do not have time for that! Their sole purpose is to discredit anything that seems prosperous! Believe it or not, their hate has nothing to do with you, but everything to do with their own lack of self-worth! The fact that they’re even paying attention to you says that you’re doing something right!!! Occupy Haters!! Don’t take it personal! Embrace it and understand that Hate is just displaced Love! Understand that the closer you get to your goal, the more these people tend to show their hand! Keep doing what you do! The only way a Hater wins is if you stop and become unsuccessful! Spend your energy being the best that you can be instead of addressing Haters! They’re like roaches; once you kill one more start to appear! Let them be and continue to be great!!!! THE WORLD IS ABSOLUTELY YOURS!!!!!
-Ash’Cash

“You cannot hate other people without hating yourself.” -Oprah Winfrey

“A show of envy is an insult to oneself.” -Yevgeny Yevtushenko

“Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.” -Coretta Scott King

“Hating people is like burning down your own house to get rid of a rat.” -Harry Emerson Fosdick

“In time, we hate that which we often fear.” -William Shakespeare

“Hatred is the coward’s revenge for being intimidated.” -George Bernard Shaw

“If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn’t part of ourselves doesn’t disturb us.” -Hermann Hesse

“Haters keep on hating, ’cause somebody’s gotta do it.” -Chris Brown

Crackhead Apocalypse? 12,000 Convicted ‘Crack’ Inmates To Be Released

(AllHipHop News) Thousands of inmates who have been incarcerated for possessing small amounts of cocaine will get a taste of freedom soon due to the Crack Cocaine Disparity Law, according to CNN. The law changes the 100-to-1 disparity between minimum sentences for crack and powder cocaine to 18-to-1.

In the old system, people who were caught with five grams of cocaine would receive the same sentence as those caught with 500 grams – five years of jail time. Now, those sentences will be cut in half for convicts busted for small amounts of drugs. Over 12,000 inmates are eligible for early release.

[cnnvideo url=’http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2011/11/01/tsr-mary-snow-crack-sentences-reduced.cnn’ inline=’true’]

Michael Nachmanoff, the federal public defender for the Eastern District of Virginia told CNN:

“This really has been one of the great stains on our federal criminal justice system for 20 years or more. This disparity between the punishment for crack cocaine and powder was really unjustified.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Bricksquad Affiliate Murdered Over Twitter Beef?

BLOOD GANG MEMBER DEAD OVER TWITTER BEEF?

26 year old Bricksquad affiliate Jomo Adoula Zambia (better known as Rosemo700) was murdered on the streets of Inglewood, CA on November 2, the victim of a shooting. Back in September we informed you all of an internet rumor involving Rosemo and Game in which he claimed to have knocked out the rap star at the Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, CA over a beef that started on Twitter between fellow Bricksquad member Ice Burgandy and Game.

Over the past few weeks, Jomo was once again involved in a Twitter beef involving his homeboy Ice Burgandy and Inglewood rapper Boskoe. The situation took a turn for the worse when CTE affiliated rapper 2Eleven filmed a brutal attack on Boskoe by Jomo on the streets of Inglewood which resulted in Boskoe receiving a broken arm and a bloody face. The footage of the attack was viewed by thousands on the Internet and even got a video response from the victim in which he acknowledged the attack.

According to an Inglewood police report, Jomo was shot Wednesday afternoon and was trying to drive himself to a hospital when he ran a red light and slammed in to a police car on Florence and Eucalyptus avenues. The officer had to be rescued by the jaws of life and was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. Jomo however, died of gunshot wounds to his torso and arm.

There are no suspects at this time but many on Twitter and Facebook believe that this was connected to the beefs that started on internet social networks.

Left-Over Candy: Halloween Pics From Ron & Kimsha Artest, Too $hort, and Meagan Good!

We gathered the last of the Halloween 2011 pics, which feature Ron and Kimsha Artest, a purplicious Too $hort, and Meagan Good’s kitty kat!

Former “Basketball Wives: LA” star Kimsha and her hubby Ron Artest hit the party scene…with Ron dressed as a boxer and Kimsha as a retired Laker-girl-turned-tooth-fairy! I guess the checks stopped coming in, because these outfits looks like they were grabbed straight from their closet!!

Too $hort may or may not be dressed in a costume! We snapped the Hip-Hop legend entering the Roosevelt in Hollywood for a costume party…but we aren’t sure if this get up is any different than his normal pimped-out get ups. It’s definitely Purplicious!

And Ms. Meagan Good!

We all wanted her to step out of the car and show off the “kitty kat!” But, Ms. Good hopped in her car without showing off…her goods! It’s OK! (Google has plenty of images.) She still looked quite purrrrfect as she sped away in her infamous white Range! Meoooooow!

Shawty Redd Beats Murder Charge

(AllHipHop News) Producer Shawty Redd has been found not guilty of murder after standing trial earlier this week and was cleared of the charge today (November 3).

MTV News reports that the rapper was cleared of the charges after a judge ruled that his life was threatened verbally and physically, during an altercation with a man named Damon Martin, on January 1, 2010.

“The defense [in the trial] was clearly self-defense,” Ashutosh Joshi told MTV. “We argued that Redd’s life was threatened both verbally and physically, and this occurred in his home and that he shot this gentleman as a result of that.”

Shawty Redd, born Demetrius Lee Stewart, was originally charged with murder over the shooting, which took place during an dispute inside of his Hampton, Georgia residence.

He was released on a $200,000 bond shortly after the incident.

Shawty Redd has worked with a number of the industry’s top artists, including Young Jeezy, Gucci mane, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and others.

First Ever Beats by Dr. Dre Store Opens In New York

(AllHipHop News) Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre has landed in Lower Manhattan, opening what is the first ever Beats by Dr. Dre store.

The store opened last night on 67 Greene Street, with several major industry players were in attendance including, Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre, Will.i.am and Luke Wood.

The pop up store, which will be serving the needs of music enthusiasts from Nov. 3rd to Jan. 15th is nestled amongst the fashion district’s sheik stores and yet rustic environment.

“The Beats store belongs downtown right now. It’s got the right environment, the right feel with the cobblestone streets,” Jimmy Iovine told The New York Post. “Beats is as much about fashion as it is about audio, we wanted to plug into a place that had quality and Luke [Wood] thought that we should try a place downtown.”

Beats Electronics President and COO Luke Wood also explained how the area’s history reflects the style and essence of Beats by Dre Headphones.

“Beats has a history, so doing it in SoHo — which has a history of being creative and on the edge — is where Beats should be,” Wood explained to The New York Post. “We want [the customer] to understand the idea behind Beats, the emotion of sound, the feeling of sound, we want them to understand it’s about the emotional art effect, it’s like music, film, a comic book, Beats is cultural, it’s relevant, it’s realWe want people to learn about why it sounds that way, the narrative. It’s really a way to tell our sound story.”

Iovine believes that the headphones have become a cultural phenomenon and that they are breaking boundaries both culturally and socially.

Even Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers and T.I. have received their customized versions of the the high end headphones.

The shop also serves as a deterrent to would be bootleggers attempting to sell knock-off versions of the high-end headphones.

“One of the things we care about the most is stopping the people making bootlegs, which are of inferior quality and helping the people who are getting ripped off. There are only a certain amount of dealers that carry our stuff, we don’t sell them to everybody. With this store and the Beats website, we have a place where people can get them legitimately,” Iovine said.

The very first pop-up store will not only sell headphones, the store will also carry the full line of Beats products including the Solo, Studio, Pro and Wireless versions of the headphones and other Beats-related merchandise.

Epic Win of the Day: Janet Jackson Beats The FCC!

EPIC WIN OF THE DAY! JANET BEATS FCC!

Peep what I jacked from RollingStone.com! Janet…it took a long time, baby, but you WON!

Philadelphia’s 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the FCC wrongly fined Janet Jackson and CBS for the singer’s infamous 2004 Super Bowl performance in which a “wardrobe malfunction” exposed her breast. The court ruled that the FCC’s decision to fine CBS $550,000 was made “arbitrarily and capriciously.”

Here is the 2004 incident as it happened.
