The Last Word: Mariah’s Drunken Speech! Rihanna’s Book! Ludacris & Madonna?

What’s up everybody? And Happy New Year to you! I trust you rang in 2010 in a memorable way. Me, I can’t lie. I slept it in and woke up to tell the tale. This year is definitely off to a chilly start with cold weather blanketing much of the country, President Obama tightening up on airport security after a failed terrorist attempt on Christmas day and the death of Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson.

Thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of Johnson and golf pioneer Bill Powell, who died last week from complications from a stroke. Congratulations go out to Keyshia Cole, who reportedly got engaged and is expecting her first child with her fiancé, Cleveland Cavalier’s player Daniel “Bobbie” Gibson and pop singer Katy Perry, who is now engaged to her comedian Russell Brand.

Shout out to the sounding boards, who harbor plans of taking things to the next level in 2010.

Check this out. It’s … the Last Word for the week ending January 8, 2010.

1.       Michael Jackson Hearted Lady Gaga; Showed Interest in Collaborating with Pop Starlet

Just a few Words back I mentioned how interested 50 Cent was in working with Susan Boyle. If the thought of that pairing made you shake your head, consider what might have been if Michael Jackson had been able to collaborate with Lady Gaga.

As strange as it may sound, the late music legend did express a desire to work with the pop sensation before his death last year. In a new video interview with Jackson’s choreographer, Travis Payne, it was revealed that Michael and Payne tossed around a bunch of well-known names to work with on his This Is It shows in London.

“I gave him a short wish list [of possible collaborators] … and he was like, ‘Sure, they can all come, as long as their schedules permit and it’s not too much of a problem for them,'” said Payne, who didn’t specify when the conversations with Jackson took place.

The video interview  which was posted Dec. 30 on YouTube by Amsterdam-based producer/actor Raffles van Exel. “Of course, I suggested Janet, of course Whitney Houston. … Diana Ross and Mariah Carey we talked about. We talked about Missy Elliott. We talked about Usher, of course. We talked about Justin [Timberlake], Celine Dion … Sting, Seal, Bono, Tina Turner. We talked about all these people that I thought were cool but that he liked.”

Although the mentioned would’ve provided a memorable experience for fans, Jackson provided an additional name he wanted to reach out to when asked about other collaborators.

“He goes, ‘Lady Gaga.’ I go, ‘Really?’ He goes, ‘Yeah.’ He’s the one who really got me to get into her,” said Payne, who admitted that Michael was a big Gaga fan. “He literally told me, ‘You gotta get into her. She’s good.’ So, I started listening to her music more and going on YouTube and looking at her performances, and I was like, ‘He’s right.'”

Needless to say, Gaga lived up to Michael’s hype with having a great 2009 that included a hot selling debut, countless fashion statements and overly theatrical performances. The diva got wind of Michael’s chat with Payne when she called Payne last November. How did she take knowing what Michael thought of her?

“She got moved by it,” Payne said.

It truly makes you wonder. And while I think an MJ /Gaga collabo would‘ve been an event, it may have paled in comparison to what might’ve been if Michael and Prince had done a song together at the height of their fame and popularity. Now that could’ve been epic.

How do you think MJ would’ve sounded in a duet with Gaga? Would it have been classic or just a footnote in their respective careers? Could Michael and Prince (or any of the folks Payne mentioned) have blown people’s minds if they joined forces on a track? So many possibilities. And while we’re in a collaboration mindstate. Check out the next item.

2.       Madonna Tops Ludacris’ Duet Partner List

To say that Ludacris shows out on when making cameos on other people’s songs is an understatement. All you have to do is hear him with Nas (“Made You Look” remix), Usher (“Yeah!”), Ciara (“Oh”), T-Pain (“Chopped and Screwed”), Shareefa (“Need a Boss”),Field Mob (“Georgia”) and DJ Felli Fel (“Get Buck in Here”),  and it’s clear the man is on a mission to stand out. That mentality will be on full display when Luda rhymes alongside various female artists on his upcoming album Battle of the Sexes.

Although Monica and Lil Kim lend their talents to the project, there is one female whom the rapper/actor cites as his top choice for getting in the studio with.

“Madonna, but I can tell you that has not happened yet,” Ludacris told Black Voices’ BoomBox. “Maybe one day soon.”

The thought of Madge working with Luda may not be too big of a stretch. She did make a tune with Lil Wayne (“Revolver”) for her recently released greatest hits album. But if the Material Girl isn’t available, maybe Ludacris can use Miley Cyrus as a plan B. To hear him tell it, Luda is very familiar with the Hannah Montana star. Or at least one of her hit songs.

“My daughter is eight-years-old and I’m forced to listen to Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ all the time,” the rapper shared. “She hasn’t met Miley, but maybe I can make that happen sooner or later.”

And with that, I leave it to you to speculate on how Luda would be around Madonna or Miley. One thing is certain. If he could pull it off with either one of them, the results would be memorable, to say the least.

3.       B2K’s J-Boog Travels Down Domestic Violence Ave.

B2K may be over and done, but it’s good to see that the members of the group are still keeping themselves in the public eye. Raz B with those sex abuse allegations from years back, Omarion with his steady solo career and now J-Boog with his issues with the law.

TMZ reports the 24-year-old singer (born Jarell Damonte Houston) was arrested on Sunday (Jan. 3) for after being arrested for suspicion of domestic assault and failing to pay traffic tickets. The arrest stemmed from a dispute between J-Boog and his girlfriend and mother of his three children. According to TMZ, neighbors say they heard screaming in the house earlier in the day.

Police were ultimately called to take care of the situation, which resulted in six to seven police cars arriving on the scene. J-Boog was ultimately released late Tuesday (Jan. 6) with no charges. Sources close to the singer dispute the domestic violence allegations involving him and his girlfriend as they deemed the claims as being “100% false.”

Damuer Leffridge, COO of J-Boog’s label, revealed that that an official filing for domestic violence has not taken place. In addition, Leffridge, confirmed that J-Boog’s girlfriend was the female involved, she does not plan on pressing charges against her boyfriend.

“She’s not interested in pressing charges,”  Leffridge told Vibe on Tuesday (Jan. 5). “TMZ got it like he beat some woman to death, and that just didn’t happen. Boog went here today to see what the district attorney is going to do. He had like two or three traffic tickets that he needed to take care of. That’s the reason why he had to stay yesterday, to clean up the tickets.”

5.       Mariah Carey Jokingly Plays the Director Card For Drunken Acceptance Speech

By now, you’ve probably heard about and or seen Mariah Carey’s drunken acceptance speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. I’m glad Mimi was recognized Tuesday (Jan. 5) with the Breakthrough  Actress award for her work in Precious, but that speech was not one of her best moments.

So who does she point the finger at for how she acted during her rambling moment? The director of Precious, Lee Daniels,  jokingly of course.

According to Carey, the combination of Daniels and a bit of the good stuff took a noticeable toll on her prior to accepting her award.

“The thing is me and Lee hadn’t see each other in a long time, and then he was presenting my award, so he starts off immediately with inside jokes,” Carey told the Associated Press Wednesday (Jan. 6) night, while laughing backstage at the People’s Choice Awards. “We had splashes of champagne, and I love Lee but he’s a bad influence.”

The songstress admitted that she did not eat enough food before she rushed onstage to be honored. Despite being the center of many jokes this week and opinions surrounding the incident, Carey is quick to advise folks to lighten up and not take her speech so serious.

“If people don’t understand me and think I’m just like this girl that stands by a microphone and sings ‘Hero,’ then they’re definitely not going to get me,” the singer/actress stated. “But if people knew me better, they would understand I have a sense of humor, and basically that’s what gets me through life.”

In Other Words…

While no one can truly replace Walter Cronkite, the legendary news anchor’s voice was put to rest this week with a new vocal for The CBS Evening News. On Monday, CBS ushered in a new era by replacing Cronkite’s introduction of Katie Couric with a voiceover featuring actor Morgan Freeman.

In addition to voicing the Evening News introductions, CBS News and Sports president Sean McManus  says Freeman’s voice will be used to record different introductions when Couric has special reports and is on location.

Throughout her career, Rihanna has always given fans some things talk about. This will probably be no different as the songbird prepares for her literary close-up. Media sources report Rihanna will release her first book this year.

Despite a lack of details surrounding the144-page project, sources reveal the tome, titled Rihanna: The Last Girl on Earth, will lend up including a combination of photographs and short words written by Rihanna and Simon Henwood.

Those attending The Marijuana Policy Project’s 15th anniversary gala will be in good company. USA Today reports that Cheech & Chong will headline the event, which will take place Wednesday (Jan. 13) in Washington.  The gala will include the Marijuana Party’s announcement of a new strategy that will include a congressional bill to end marijuana prohibition on the federal level.

Since its founding in 1995, 13 states have passed medical marijuana laws. Before then, medical marijuana was illegal in all 50 states.

X-Clan Celebrates 20 Year Reunion With New Music and Tour

(AllHipHop News) This year legendary Hip-Hop group X-Clan celebrates two decades since its inception in 1990.

X-Clan’s founding members Jason “Grand Verbalizer Funkin-Lesson Brother J” Hunter and Paradise “The Architect” Gray told AllHipHop.com that they are in the planning stages of a new CD, a book and a tour.

The forthcoming album is something Paradise has looked forward to for some time.

“I haven’t made beats for any other group I’ve worked with since X-Clan,” Paradise told AllHipHop.com. “It’s sacred.”

X-Clan was known for its distinctive brand of revolutionary Hip-Hop. The group released two critically acclaimed albums To the East, Blackwards (1990) and Xodus (1992).

Singles like “Heed the Word of the Brother,” “Funkin’ Lesson” and “Grand Verbalizer What Time is It?” introduced the world to Brother J and the collective’s Pan-Africanism theories, over Hip-Hop tracks.

“We didn’t have an MC, we had Brother J the Grand Verbalizer. We didn’t have a DJ, we had Suga Shaft the Rhythm Provider. We didn’t have a manager, we had Professor X the Overseer. And instead of a producer, we had Paradise the Architect,” recounted Paradise. “We created our own vocabulary.”

The group was founded during Paradise’s stint as manager of the storied “Latin Quarters” Hip-Hop club in Times Square.

At the same time, he was a founding member of the Blackwatch Movement.

“Blackwatch came first,” Paradise recalled, referencing his influential street movement which preceded X-Clan. “Blackwatch had marches 50,000 people deep with black boots on, we held Brooklyn Bridge hostage for 5 hours one time.”

Paradise took Brother J and Suga Shaft to a studio owned by Ced Gee, of the Ultramagnetic Emcees, who helped them put together the first X-Clan demo in 1990.

After hearing the recording Professor X agreed to join the group. Suga Shaft passed away in 1995 from complications related to AIDS, while Professor X, the son of Sonny Carson, passed away in 2006 from complications related to spiral meningitis.

Paradise currently manages the music career of Jasiri X,  who’s album American History X was released in December.

2009: Who Was King of the South?

2009 was another year where the South took center stage in Hip-Hop’s mainstream consciousness. Lil Wayne took completely over while T.I. prepared himself for prison and Ludacris took the majority of the year off. Gucci and cohorts Soulja Boy, Wocka Flocka, and OJ da Juiceman set the streets ablaze, and Young Jeezy began laying the seeds for his 2010 return. New Orleans hit hard with Curren$y (This Ain’t No Mixtape) and the song of the year in Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit C.” Out in Texas, Slim Thug offered a quality LP in Bosses of All Bosses, followed by other releases from newcomer Dorrough, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, and Z-Ro. Tennessee saw albums and mixtapes from DJ Paul, Juicy J, Project Pat, and Young Buck. And in North Carolina Big Pooh (Delightful Bars) and J Cole (The Warm Up) came through with standout projects.

Overall, the South continued to lead and define Hip-Hop’s mainstream sound. And while there will always be issues anytime one region dominates the direction of a global art form, the South cannot be expected to slow down so everyone else can catch up.

Lil Wayne

The Young Money leader followed up the smashing success of 2008’s Tha Carter III with the announcement of a risky rock-project entitled Rebirth.

The album was slated for early ’09 and generated two charting singles in “Prom Queen,” and “Hot Revolver,” but label Universal never felt comfortable with the anticipation and continually pushed the album back throughout the year. After leaking by accident through Amazon last month, the entire album may be scrapped in favor of new songs. As of now, the album has a tentative February 1 release.

His teaser freestyles “Swag Surf” and “Wasted” had many anticipating his October mixtape No Ceilings as if it were an album. The project showcased Wayne was still hungry following his mega-success in 2008, as he ripped tracks from Fabolous (“Throw It in the Bag Remix”), Noreaga (“Banned from TV”), Kid Cudi (“Make Her Say”), and Jay-Z (“DOA,” “Run This Town”).

Wayne remained in demand for guest spots, penning verses on tracks with Rick Ross (“Maybach Music 2”), Jay Sean (“Down”), Chris Brown (“I Can Transform Ya”), Birdman (“Always Strapped,” “Money to Blow”), Nicki Minaj (“I Get Crazy”), and Drake (“Forever,” “Successful”).

His label’s debut group album We Are Young Money was released on December 21.

This year, Wayne will be unleashing the debuts of his 2 young Money stars Drake and Nicki Minaj, while preparing his own Rebirth and Carter IV LPs.

Standout Songs- “Ice Cream Paint Job Freestyle,” “Swag Surfin’ Freestyle,” “Prom Queen”

Curren$y

After a staggering 8 quality mixtapes in 2008, Curren$y proved he could translate his skill to an album with his April debut This Ain’t No Mixtape.

Another New Orleans talent in Monsta Beatz handled production, supplying Curren$y with creative beats heavy on synths and melody.

Most artists would be content and rest on that accomplishment, but Curren$y proved himself to be one of the hardest working emcees in Hip-Hop with two mixtape offerings in Jet Files and the Wiz Khalifa collaboration How Fly. The former was almost exclusively smooth, sample-based riding music while the latter maintained as Wiz rhymed a “weed friendly environment,” but with more thump and synths.

This year, Curren$y is poised for even bigger exposure through a new supergroup dubbed Center Edge Territory (Curren$y, Mos Def, Jay Electronica), 2 more mixtapes (Where Is Smokey Robinson, Muscle Car Chronicles), and his sophomore LP The Grand Scheme of Things.

And to think, Young Money had him on the shelf in ’07. Jets, fool.

Standout Songs- “Power Button,” “The Seventies,” “Get It Yourself,” “Blown Away”

Gucci Mane

Burr! This was a common word throughout many hoods in Hip-Hop, as the self-proclaimed coldest n#### in Atlanta, Gucci Mane, continued his rise to stardom in 2009.

As a staple mixtape artist thought his career, Gucci blessed his devoted fanbase with 6 tapes: The Movie 2, The BurrPrint 3-D aka The Movie 3, and The Cold War Series (Guccimerica, Burrusia, Great Brritian). And as a added bonus, Gucci’s So Icey Entertainment threw in the Wasted: The Prequel EP.

Tracks like the Shawty Redd-produced “Dope Boys,” “Gucci Montana,” and “Burr” contain the irreverent humor that’s made Gucci one the most colorful characters in Hip-Hop.

Warner Bros/Asylum threw money behind their surging star, and strategically placed him on key singles from Mario (“Break Up”), Wale (“Pretty Girls”), Mariah Carey (“Obsessed Remix”), and the Black Eyed Peas (“Boom Boom Pow”).

Gucci’s mixtape deluge and grind saw him become the prominent artist featured at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Even with other heavyweights like Jay-Z and Snoop performing, Gucci hit the stage 4 times over the course of the evening with his own set and contributions for Soulja Boy, Wale, and Mario.

Gucci’s 2009 end was bittersweet. He was arrested in November for a parole violation, and sentenced to 12 months in prison. This caused him to witness his anticipated album The State vs. Radric Davis post his highest first week sales ever from behind bars.

In personal matters, amends were finally made with long-time rival Young Jeezy. Live on the radio with DJ Drama, the two Atlanta emcees pledged to end their feud that claimed a life and work together next year following Gucci’s release.

For 2010, Gucci plans to drop two albums and complete his State Trilogy, entitled The State vs. Radric Davis: The Appeal and The State vs. Radric Davis: The Verdict.

Standout Songs- “Wasted,” “Dope Boys,” “Worst Enemy”

Rick Ross

How did Rick Ross rebound from the 2008 exposure of his employment past as a corrections officer? He picked a fight with an emcee that specializes in non-lyrical beef exposures, and also delivered a good album.

Last January, Ross ignited a personal beef with 50 Cent via “Mafia Music,” which ridiculed the Queens mogul’s baby momma drama. The retaliation was swift in 50 recruiting Ross’ own son’s mother to denounce him.

Although multiple disses were recorded, fans latched onto the soap opera elements, which included cartoons, baby momma shopping trips, and books.

This all served as great promotion for Ross’ third album Deeper Than Rap, which debuted #1. The album was helmed by production from the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and the Inkredibles, with features from Nas, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Robin Thicke, and John Legend.

Ross followed up the album by inking a distribution deal with Def jam for Triple C’s Custom Cars & Cycles.

After the sales of 50 Cent’s Before I Self-Destruct, Ross credited his beef with ending 50’s sales dominance.

Ross plans to drop his 4th album, Teflon Don, sometime this year.

Standout Songs- “Mafia Music,” “Usual Suspects,” “Cigar Music”

Young Jeezy

Atlanta crown prince of Trap had another productive year following 2008’s gold-certified Recession album.

Jeezy put in the majority of his work as a feature artist, helping every single he appeared on to chart on Billboard, including Kanye West’s “Amazing,” Ciara’s “Never Ever,” DJ Khaled’s “Fed Up,” Lil Boosie’s “Better Believe It,” and Rihanna’s “Hard.”

For the streets, Jeezy delivered the Trappin’ Ain’t Dead mixtape. In addition, he rekindled his beef with Gucci Man with the diss track “Kobe Lebron.”

Later in the year, cooler heads prevailed and the blood feud was squashed publicly on the radio following Gucci’s conciliatory words on “Worst Enemy.”

With that beef history, Jeezy looks to drop in 2010 his 4th LP Thug Motivation 101, to date scheduled tentatively for a 1st quarter release.

Standout Songs- “Kobe Lebron,” “Dead Or Alive,” “The Underdawg”

The Verdict

Love him or hate him, Lil Wayne didn’t rest on his 2008 success. He showed and proved in 2009, especially with the No Ceilings mixtape. He remained in demand for guest appearances, and furthered crossed over with a role as a sports analyst for ESPN. With the Carter IV, the Juelz Santana collaboration I Can’t Feel My Face, and possibly a Hot Boyz Reunion this year, Wayne’s star will continue to blaze.

Twista Benefits From YouTube Glitch; Planning Reality Show

(AllHipHop News) An unusual surge in views on YouTube worked to rapper Twista’s gain.

A video featuring the rapper and rhyme collective Do or Die generated close to 80 billion views on the site yesterday according to the statistics.

The four-minute clip for the song “Do You” was posted by YouTube LadyMC311. According to reports, the video’s 79,441,058,538 views were the result of someone hacking into LadyMC311’s YouTube account.

As a result, “Do You” was briefly YouTube’s most viewed video of all time, eclipsing “Charlie Bit My Finger,” (147,246,806 views) and a performance from Britain’s Got Talent alum Susan Boyle’s (84,765,146 views).

Although questions have been raised regarding the validity of the “Do You” views, Twista sees the situation as a testament to the power of his fans.

“Yea I know it’s wrong, and don’t have any idea who that could of been that did the hack,” the rapper told AllHipHop.com, adding that he has never heard of LadyMC311. “I don’t have any idea why they picked my video, but that definitely goes to show you that Twista got those true fans, and I definitely wanna say thanks to the No. 1 blessing.”

The YouTube hacking comes as Twista pursues a pair of non-music related ventures that will broaden his presence among the public as well as utilize his fame towards worthwhile causes.

“Right now I am producing my first reality show deal,” said the rapper, who couldn’t reveal specifics on the deal because “it’s under wraps.”

“I just started my own non for profit company helping homeless kids get off the streets and help kids with autism get financial assistance,” the Chicago native stated.

The YouTube hack may be a good thing for Twista, but the talk surrounding the number of views being inflated for “Do You” is valid, as the numbers were false.

Upon checking this morning (January 8), the “Do You” video had 73,317 views since the clip was first posted on YouTube on September 6, 2006.

Despite the rumors, Twista has taken everything in stride as he jokingly put in a personal request to the person responsible for the “Do You” views.

“If you happen to do it again,” the rapper said, “make sure you hook me up a million members on twista.com or my Twitter page.”

BLANK

Christian Audigier

Christian Audigier has recently taken a cleaner turn, ditching some of its infamous bright colored tattoo prints for more vintage looks.

Do you think it’s about time, or should this brand just stick to doing what it’s so well known for?

Overall, we saw that stud details on clothing and accessories are not going anywhere anytime soon. Other popular hardware will be chains, spikes and various jewels.

The rock star look was very evident, but softened up in many cases with a vintage twist.

Soft pastel colors were seen, such as peach, greens and blues. Neutral tones were also prevalent, especially in fetish or lingerie inspired clothing.

Trendsetters Lady Gaga and Rihanna

We noticed luxurious fabrics like silk, satin, and chiffon, as well as leather and spandex.

Heavy metal is still a go, with metallic shades of silver, gold, emerald green, purple, etc.

One of my personal favorites is sheer fabric pieces on dresses and tops. It’s super sexy without revealing too much and adds an elegant look.

How are you feeling about this upcoming season’s fashion trends?

THE DAILY TWO CENTS

I generally don’t address haters. I mean, why bother. They ARE haters. One thing I don’t do is try to convert people. Either you like me or you don’t. With that said, if you WANT TO BE HERE, and you think there are some things you’d like to see different or whatever, I’m all ears. I have an email ([email protected]) and people use it. In fact, the only reason I am saying this is because one of my favorite people gave me a heads up about a couple things. Anyway, some of you people need home training and ya mammie wouldn’t like how you act online. I’m all about the constructive comments, but the hate…hold that.

“Get the Shaq Face.”

WILL 50 CENT HAVE HIS REVENGE?

Supreme McGriff is in prison for life, but he and 50 Cent have a weird relationship. Now I got this from my homey Mikey T the Movie Star. He’s been talking to Supreme’s nephew and apparently, Supreme saw 50’s mother as she was killed. Now, I’m not even trying to be out of pocket here, but I am almost certain this is unknown information up until this point. Now, since its not coming directly from Supreme you can only put so much into it, but it seems like the plot is about to get thicker.

KEYSHIA COLE GOES FROM ENGAGED TO MARRIED IN 1 DAY FLAT!!!!!!

This is a breaking rumor, yall! I told you that Keyshia Cole was engaged within the last day or so, but there is a new twist. It seems that Frankie, Keyshia’s wild and crazy biological mother, was on the V-103 during the Ryan Cameron show yesterday and she announced that Keyshia and Boobie had a secret wedding! Apparently, they did want this new baby they are having to be born out of wedlock.  On the flip side, my girl Tamara told me that Frankie seemed very drunk or inebriated – worst than usual. You know Frankie can get wild so this may be the rantings of a lunatic.

DIP SET REUNION!?

Awwwww…man, at this point this is kinda “who cares,” but Jim Jones recently made reference to Dip Set getting back together. Now, Jim made the statement on 106 & Park with Terrance and Rocsi. He basically said something like “we may have some surprises in the new year.”

What do you think? Do you even care at this point?

FLOYD MAYWEATHER LASHES OUT AT MANNY!

This fight is going to get made. $200 million on the line…come on! Floyd is HEATED:

“First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass. In my opinion it is Manny Pacquiao and his team who are denying the people a chance to see the biggest fight ever. I know the people will see through their smokescreens and lies. I am ready to fight and sign the contract. Manny needs to stop making his excuses, step up and fight.”

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

You know, it would seem that people got my rumor assistants words confused with mine, but Floyd Mayweather is a professional boxer. His hands are legal and registered weapons – literally.

Siegfried and Roy have retired. Remember about six years ago Roy got mauled by a tiger. Props to them for taking it this far after that.

Dr. Conrad Murray is likely to be charged in the death of Michael Jackson. Man, it sucks to be him…but he’s looking at a manslaughter case, says TMZ.

Carmelo and LaLa are moving to Los Angeles according to theybf.com. I don’t even care…why’d I even type that?

According to Bossip, Pharrell dropped the girl from NERD. I think we said that yesterday. But they said she lied about her age…she’s reportedly in her 30’s.

Ne-Yo is reportedly dating Steve McNair’s ex-mistress. Oh boy. This is about to be an interesting year. Apparently, she is posing as his personal assistant.

On of Tiger Wood’s mistresses is slated to drop a book that alleges the golf legend had g######…and she saw it. Aw, man…hell to the no!

Lupe Fiasco has started his climb up Mount Kilimanjaro with his famous friends. Santogold is going too. They are climbing about 19,340 feet.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

I’m sorry but I am moving to a cave or a mountain. This is sick and crazy. Something is in the water at Vero Beach, FL! A 20-year-old man named Garrett Andrew Douglas was caught butt-nekked having sex with his 87-year-old grandmother. This is insanity. On top of that…no pun intended…this dude Douglas apparently did this for about 20 times, since he was a lad of 12 years. Somebody that was sent to check on her, got a faceful  of a** when he was caught! The lady’s not in her right mind and suffers from dementia. And, Douglas is going to suffer too. He is in jail for incest and attempted sexual battery on a mentally defective victim. Off to hell you go, boy!

info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.

CHANCE ENCOUNTERSThis is my homeboy Chance and here are his rumors!SHAWTY LO IS BACK

Shawty Lo bought the ATL rap world out Wednesday for his “Atlanta, GA” video shoot. The song features Ludacris, The Dream and Gucci Mane (who couldn’t make it…you know why). Soulja Boy and Young Joc even showed up. Wonder how Joc’s situation is going I dig dude a little…pause.

WEEZY JOINS THE WAR ON DRUGS

Lil Wayne is no stranger to the War On Drugs. He’s caught several charges and I believe a few are still pending. Well the DEA has recognized his uncanny ability to consume large amounts of drugs and have partnered with the Mexican governments to clean up their streets. CAM WANTS HIS TAPE

I’ve been waiting for this new Cam’ron DJ Drama tape and I know a lot of you have too. What has been the hold up?? Check out Cam calling Drama to find out:

AKEELAH IS THAT YOU

Remember KeKe Palmer the little girl from Akeelah And The Bee??? Well she has grown into a tween superstar as True Jackson on the Nickelodeon show True Jackson VP. She was also dating Young Money’s Lil Twist but I’m not sure if that’s still the case…either way looks like she picked up some skills:

MOVING ON

I didn’t catch many episodes of Tiny and Toya, but from what I did see, Toya wasn’t really over Wayne yet Apparently that’s not the case anymore. She has been dating Memphitz, the man who discovered T. Pain & Huey, the host of BET’s The Deal and an alumni of the last school I got kicked out of (Institute Of Audio Research). They have taken their relationship to the next level and went and got matching tattoos. Guess they’re all in.

Memphitz:

Antonia Carter (Toya):

I’M JUST SAYIN’Ne-Yo is dating the woman that Steve Mcnairs mistress thought was coming between them, causing her to snap.  This just doesn’t sound good.Uh ohhhhhh … One of Tiger’s jawns is shopping a tell-all where she will reveal that he sleeps with men.Maino predicts RiRi’s gonna give us some girl-on-girl action this year … *fingers crossed* he WAS right about her and CB.I know the Lil’ Wayne thing was a joke…in case that wasn’t clear.FYI Matt Kemp is no stranger to dating R&B chicks…his ex is Letoya Luckett:

MAJOR MAINSTREAMHip-Hop is like a soap opera nowadays so naturally rappers would start popping up on actual soap operas.  Snoop Dogg recently guest starred on an episode of One Life To Live slated to air next month.  Check out the behind the scenes footage.

Speaking of Snoop … he also popped up on CBS’s I Get That A Lot where celebrities try to convince regular people they are also regular people who just look like celebrities:

MISS MOUTH’S RUMORS!Here are a few rumors from Miss Mouth…

Did anyone else hear that Luda

is having a hard time promoting the Cognac that he endorses?

And by the way…. I’m gonna need

Letoya Luckett to get some PROFESSIONAL DANCERS instead of her “friends

& nem” from her boutique.  And folks need to hop off Beyonce’s

case. If she supports terrorism, well that’s her business. Yall are

mad that nobody is offering to pay yall 2 milli for a private performance!

I don’t know about you losers but for 2 million dollars I would perform

for Bin Laden himself. [lol…illseed cannot condone such ideas]

OKAY, I’M THINKING THAT

MAYBE I SHOULDN’T HAVE TYPED THAT

And how in the h*ll is Uncle

Russy gonna defend her? Wasn’t he the one who blew her cover by twitting

the pics? I heard that she was denying the performance at first.

Twitter is getting everyone

in trouble these days…. And I love it!

MO’NIQUE

Did you know that Mo’Nique’s stylist was killed by her own husband. And then the sick bastard

drove around for two days with the body still in the car. That is horrible,

they should throw his a**under the jail. Here is the statement:“We are all saddened by Maureen’s passing but we also rejoice in having

had the opportunity to know her sweet, soulful spirit. Live each day to

the fullest.”

DENNIS RODMAN’S CRAAAAAAAAAAAZY!

Did anyone else see this fool

on “Celebrity Rehab?” Why would he be ordered by the court to attend

rehab if he didn’t have a chemical dependency? Dr. Drew was giving

him the business. Dennis is very entertaining but he comes off as extremely

arrogant, disrespectful and rude. Illseed, now who does that sound like J

Heidi Fleiss, the queen of the w#####, is also on this season along

with America’s Next Top Model reject Lisa. This season is proving

to be off of the hook!!!

B2K

What in the h*ll is going on

with pop stars lately? Former B2K member J.Boog joins the ranks of other

Teeny Boopers that will “Beat A B*tch To The White Meat.” Below

he responds to the allegations;

“I wanted to reach out

to my fans right away to clear up the allegations circulating the web.

I did not get charged with any form of domestic violence against the

mother of my children. I love and respect all of the women in my life

and would never harm any of them. Domestic violence is a very serious

matter and one that should be treated that way, however this was not

a case of domestic abuse. I was taken into custody due to outstanding

traffic violations. I took care of the situation, no charges were filed,

and I was released Tuesday evening. Thank you to my fans who stood by

me regardless of any circulating rumors. I am looking forward to a great

year in 2010 for Fizz & Boog and hope that you will continue to

support. Thank you.” -Jarell “Boog” Houston

Hip-Hop Rumors:UK Rapper Death Threats Juelz! Jamie Foxx’s Rapper Beef? Mystikal Outta Jail?

DISCLAIMER:

All

content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual

info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.

JAMIE FOXX GOT A BEEF?

Jamie Foxx got a beef with an unknown dude out in Miami, because Jamie Foxx ran up in his baby’s mother. Uhm…this is possible. Jamie’s a a wild and crazy kind of guy from what I can tell. Anyway, I am just searching around and I don’t really see anything about it online so it maybe be false. But, here is the kicker. Dude is supposedly a White rapper and he’s making a diss song about it. If it matters, dude’s baby moms is White too, according to this rumor. Their kid is allegedly 4 months old. I think dude should be mad at his child mom and quietly take the fail.

RAPPER THREATENS JUELZ SANTANA

I am going to post this so people can consider it a public service announcement. This guy is literally threatening the life of Juelz Santana.

It was unintentionally funny when he couldn’t get the picture to burn.

DANGER THREATENS RAY-J

I don’t know what people are thinking, but Danger is claiming she was locked in a mental institution just to shut her up! She also said that somebody’s got to pay her not to expose these people out here in the game, namely Ray-J. Her goal is to “get her paper” and people are going to need to pay since he has a kid now!

I can’t believe she is only 23. “I need a check Ray.”

MYSTIKAL OUT OF JAIL?

Mystikal maybe out of jail. According to rumors he got out this week. I don’t know about it, but that is the word. ASIDE from this rumor, it is my understanding that dude is going to be out this month anyway. I always felt in my heart he was somehow falsely imprisoned. I don’t know all the facts either. Anyway….I heard he’s out!

LIL JON’S BOYZ ARE COMING BACK!

Honestly, I don’t know if anybody cares about this one! But, I am hearing that Lil Jon’s guys Bo and Peep….The Eastside Boyz are coming back out on Universal. This is one rumor I just find hard to believe, because dudes never demonstrated anything rap-wise.

HOWARD STERN’S HOMEY’S SUICIDE ATTEMPT!

Artie Lange from Howard Stern on Sirius tried to commit suicide.  The poor guy stabbed himself nine times, but most of them were minor. There were about three that were very deep and life threatening. My homey GooN tells me Artie is very funny. I mean, I don’t know him or his work, but you never know what is going on in folks minds.

BOW WOW IS HEATED AT DJ DRAMA!

For some reason, DJ Drama opted not to do the new mixtape from Bow Weezy…we’ll what does Wow Wow do? He gets on Twitter.

MORE RIHANNA PICS!

Rihanna is going hard with this new dude, Matt Kemp. She may want to slow down a bit. But, that’s me.

KEYSHIA COLE IS ENGAGED!

Here is the statement from her PR team:

“[The engagement came as] an absolute surprise] When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted. He presented her with the ring and her mouth dropped in amazement. It’s too beautiful for words.”

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Ja Rule is working on a new 50 Cent diss, I am hearing. I think he should work on that next hit.

Word is The Clipse are looking for a new record deal.

Did you hear the new Young Buck diss? Click here…this is the best one yet.

Remember the Lost Boyz? They reportedly are working on a movie that explains the group’s story to all that…don’t know the group’s story.

Get better to Gary Coleman! He had a lil’ seizure and was taken to the hospital.

Oh yeah…the Pac Man vs Mayweather fight is off. Manny Pacquiao won’t allow himself to be tested at random. Sounds fishy.

Lil Boog from B2K is saying he was arrested over traffic violations, not beating his baby mama.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY!

People are so stupid on Twitter! Some dude claims that he made a bet with T.O. that Terrell Owens would catch at least 10 toouchdown passes. If T.O. didn’t do so, that he would be awarded the football players BENTLEY. Well, the man checked the stats and has reportedly “won” the bet. Now, he is seeking the Bentley to be awarded to him. Uhm…FAIL.

MARIAH EXPLAINS HER DRUNKEN SPEECH!

LIKE A BOSS! EPIC WIN OF THE DAY!

Why is this dude better than most rappers out now? LMAO!

AND FOR THOSE HATING ON ILLSEED:

Yall haters get the Shaq Face!

On to the next one!!!!!!

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

Promoter Accused Of Scamming $25 Mil Using Fake Concerts

(AllHipHop News) A promoter in Arizona has been indicted on federal charges that he bilked investors out of over $25 million dollars, by promoting phony concerts.

Dezert Heat Entertainment is accused of acting like a promoter of concerts featuring artists like 50 Cent and G-Unit, Mariah Carey, Shakira, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and others.

According to the federal complaint, Miko Dion Wady scammed 140 investors out of the $25 million using a sophisticated Ponzi scheme.

Investors claim that they would be repaid with substantial interest from ticket revenues, but they were never compensated and the investments were never used to promote concerts.

The investors 37-count indictment claims that they were victims of an elaborate a scheme headed by Wade, who simply repaid them with money from earlier investors, until the scheme collapsed.

Wade would produce fake insurance receipts, bogus contracts and copies of fraudulent certified checks that were supposedly issued to book various talent and entertainers.

Federal officials claim that Wade only promoted 10 concerts between 2004 and 2009.

The indictment claims Wade used at least $3 million of the investors money to finance a lavish lifestyle that included a fleet of luxury cars, a boat, jet skis jewelry, and multiple homes.

Federal authorities also charged Wade with money laundering and wire fraud.

10 Biggest Stories of 2009 #5 Beanie Sigel Attacks Jay-Z

Following the release of the highly-successful Blueprint 3, Rocafella artist Beanie Sigel used the second half of 2009 to call out his former mentor Jay-Z.

The private issues became public when Sigel released the diss track “Average Cat,” which he justified as appropriate retaliation to lines on Jay-Z’s “What We Talkin’ Bout.”

On Jay’s track, the mogul raps “Grown men want to sit on my lap/But I ain’t got a beard and Santa Claus ain’t black.”

Sigel counters by accusing Jay of having police force him out of the Power 99 Powerhouse concert in October.

“The rapper Shawn called the police on me/’Cause I was front row at the Blueprint 3,” Siegel raps. “S###, I just wanted to see him MC, and reminisce on when we was the R.O.C./But he called all the C.O.Ps, not only that, he brought out the F.E.Ds/So that’s telling me ‘F You Sieg,’/so F you too and F Bleek three.”

In an interview with Charlamagne tha God on 100.3 The Beat’s Morning Show, Sigel elaborated further that he felt Jay did not push the supporting members of Roc-A-Fella as he should have.

“Jay in another place and I understand that. He did what he did as far as signing people to Roc-A-Fella Records, you did that,” Sigel told Charlamagne Tha God. “But as far as the push that people coulda got that really could have did things, you didn’t do that. If you look at 50 Cent – no disrespect to the G-Unit, cause I love the way 50 Cent did with his dogs – but if you look at it, them dudes got more money and more bread than anybody in State Property. Because 50 made sure of that. 50 took his people on tour and paid them, not tell them it was a good look for them to be on tour.”

Jay-Z chose to respond a press conference interview with the site www.larueduhiphop.com.

“Beanie Sigel, to be honest and you can look it up, just to be honest…was driving two Bentleys. I don’t know how,” Jay-Z said. “Its impossible to drive two cars at the same time. With his momma in the sticks, selling 800,000. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody.”

“What people choose to do when they obtain that type of success, at some point you gotta look in the mirror and look at yourself,” Jay continued. “Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label and a clothing line…and never went platinum. Ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. So, I don’t know what more can you do for a person at that point. A record deal – that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line. If that’s not pushing the person…s###.”

Sigel’s words became more confrontational in November, when he aligned himself with Jay-Z rival 50 Cent. The Queens emcee had recently begun insulting his fellow mogul in interviews with references such as “Mr. Knowles” after quote from Jay stating “no one is afraid of 50 Cent.”

According to 50, it was Jay-Z who blocked a potential deal to bring Sigel to G Unit.“He [Beanie Sigel] would have got at least $800,000 at that point to come over,” 50 Cent told Miss Jones on Power 99 in Philadelphia. “Jay was telling him that he didn’t want to lose him. I think Jay and Puffy had these feelings toward me at one point I believe. They didn’t want to lose anything to me, while their energy was going on. Puff didn’t want to sign the Mase deal and Jay didn’t want to do that.”

Sigel and 50 furthered their words for Jay with the collaboration “I Go Off.” On the song, 50 ridicules Jay-Z over the allegation that money has changed his values.

“You changed man. You let the money change you Jay,” 50 accused. “You’s a ‘pass the Grey Poupon’ n####. N#### feed the wolves or the wolves eat you. Eat your ass alive.”

“He’s a crumb. I’m putting my foot on his neck ‘til he responds. Please make a record, ‘cause a week been out dog,” Sigel added in November.  “Not taking nothing from Jay as an artist. All I’m saying is I ain’t gotta jog to keep up with him. Watch what I do next.”

To date, Jay-Z has not addressed Beanie Sigel or 50 Cent outside of his initial comment on the situation.

Beanie Sigel has proclaimed that he is now signed to G Unit, although whether the partnership is official legally has not been verified.
