That Mexican OT Issues Emotional Apology After Sauce Walka Checks Him Over N-Word Remarks

That Mexican OT issued a public apology on Instagram Wednesday night (June 25) after being called out by Sauce Walka and others over his use of the N-word and a defiant response that many saw as disrespectful.

The Texas rapper came under fire after a recent interview clip circulated where he defended his use of the racial slur.

“I feel like I can say it,” he said. “What the f### are you going to do about it?” The comment, delivered with a confrontational tone, ignited backlash across social media.

After a week of criticism, That Mexican OT took to Instagram Stories to respond to a post from his friend, Denver rapper Tr3fonc, who said he “lost a lot of respect” for him.

OT replied with a message of remorse:

“I’m sorry cuzin,” he began, adding that he had given a “stupid answer” to a “stupid question.”

He explained, “I meant it deeper then the word cuzin I coulda said anything and I would stand on it for my beliefs being strong strictly no hate or ill in my heart.”

That Mexican OT concluded with an apology.

“I gotta alotta love for my brother and sister hood man,” he wrote. “Blessings and I’m sorry to hurt my people I hope yall can forgive me.”

In a follow-up post, he reflected on the personal toll the controversy had taken, particularly the strain on his longtime friendship with Tr3fonc:

“S### f##### me up I lost one of them,” he wrote. I’m sorry to anyone I’ve offended of any race or belief Thank yu to everyone who still here.”

Sauce Walka Backtracks After Defending That Mexican OT

Initially, Sauce Walka had defended OT, calling the backlash “ignorance at its finest.”

However, after watching the full interview, he reversed course and addressed the situation in a video posted to Instagram.

“B####, you wrong, hoe!” he said. “I’mma tell you why you wrong little bro.”

Walka clarified that his issue wasn’t just OT’s explanation for using the word but the aggressive way he challenged others in the room, which he said was full of women.

“That’s where you f##### up, brother. That’s where the disrespect is,” Walka said. He added that OT wouldn’t have made the same statement in a room full of Black men.

That Mexican OT responded in the comments with a short reply: “I love yu I ain’t mad. Thank yu.”

Cardi B Snaps Over Decision To Keep “Up” & “WAP” On New Album

Cardi B fired back at critics Wednesday (June 25) after revealing that her chart-topping singles “WAP” and “Up” will be featured on her long-awaited sophomore album Am I the Drama?, due out September 19, 2025.

The Bronx rapper took to X to shut down backlash over including the two hits, both of which were released years ago.

“This will be the last and only time I’m gonna address this. ‘WAP’ and ‘Up’ are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album.. they deserve a home,” she wrote.

“WAP,” her 2020 collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and broke streaming records in its first week. The track spent four weeks at the top and became a cultural lightning rod.

“Up,” released in 2021, also reached No. 1 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance.

Despite their success, Cardi admitted that she had previously held back from submitting “WAP” for Grammy consideration due to outside pressure.

“I let haters make me not submit WAP for the Grammy’s and at this point I’m giving my fans what they want! These two songs don’t even count for first week sales so what are yall even crying about???” she said.

She didn’t stop there. Addressing accusations of using old hits to boost album numbers, Cardi added, “Do ya say anything when all these artist pull out all their little tricks and ponies to sell out??? Exactly….Now let them eat cake. Go cry about it!!!”

The 23-track album Am I the Drama? arrives seven years after her debut, Invasion of Privacy, which won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammys.

The new project features a mix of club anthems, pop-infused records, introspective cuts and surprise guest features. Am I the Drama? will be released on September 19, 2025.

Donald Trump Branded The World’s “Daddy” After NATO Leader’s Unbelievable Comment

Donald Trump became the center of yet another surreal moment at the 2025 NATO summit in The Hague when NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte referred to him as “daddy” while discussing his blunt handling of the Israel-Iran conflict.

The unexpected comment followed President Trump’s outburst during a press conference on Tuesday (June 24), when he dropped an F-bomb while comparing the two Middle Eastern nations to unruly children.

“Daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get them to stop,” Rutte said, referring to President Trump’s profanity-laced rebuke aimed at both Israel and Iran.

Donald Trump, never one to miss a moment, responded with a grin during a press conference.

“I think he likes me. I think he likes me. If he doesn’t, I’ll let you know. I’ll come back, and I’ll hit him hard. Okay? ‘Daddy, you’re my daddy,'” Donald Trump said as Secretary of State Marco Rubio laughed behind him.

The comment drew laughter in the room but also raised eyebrows among diplomats.

Rutte later clarified he wasn’t literally calling Donald Trump “daddy” but was poking fun at how some European countries look to the U.S. for leadership.

While the exchange played well for the cameras, not everyone was amused. Several European officials, speaking privately, described the moment as “over the top” and “submissive,” with one diplomat telling Reuters the display “didn’t help the seriousness of the summit.”

The summit itself focused heavily on preventing further escalation in the Middle East, with NATO leaders urging restraint and diplomacy.

Donald Trump’s remarks, both in tone and content, dominated headlines and distracted from the summit’s broader goals.

Amina Buddafly Said She’s Homeless—Peter Gunz Has Something To Say

Amina Buddafly revealed that she and her daughters are without a permanent home after losing their Los Angeles residence and fleeing to Germany to stay with family.

The revelation prompted a public response from Peter Gunz, who says he’s still financially supporting them.

The former Love & Hip Hop: New York star took to Instagram to share an emotional update about her living situation.

“Day one, waking up in Germany after losing our home in LA. We don’t have a home, y’all. Thank God for family, because we’re in Germany with my family. We’re going to be here ’til I figure it out. I will, as I always do. The last couple of years have been so rough,” Amina Buddafly said.

Buddafly, who shares two daughters with Gunz, added that she parted ways with most of her belongings before leaving the U.S.

“I threw my whole life in the trash. 80% of what we owned, and I didn’t own anything valuable anyway, to begin with,” she said. “It feels good to not have much but have what’s important, which is love.”

The post quickly gained traction, prompting Peter Gunz to respond via Instagram Live. The Bronx rapper said he’s still involved in their lives and claimed he offered Buddafly his apartment in Dallas, which she turned down.

“I have an apartment in Dallas. I said, ‘Amina, just go stay in Dallas. Right? [She said] ‘What am I going to do in Dallas?’ Live rent-free? Swim? Chill for a little bit; give me a breather because I can’t pay rent at multiple places.”

Peter Gunz didn’t deny that Buddafly is currently staying in Germany but emphasized that he continues to provide for their children. The rapper said he felt betrayed because he never stopped sending her money and that she was not literally homeless.

“I send Amina thousands every month. She will get on here and tell you, too. It’s just that she wasn’t able to hold her side of the s### up. So I let her go, but I had no idea that she was going to leave the world, thinking that she was homeless. I bought her a round-trip ticket. They come back on the 23rd of August. I got the Airbnb in LA. I was going to pay that up for a couple of months. Why tell the world? I feel a little betrayed, in a way, because she knows I would never, that could never be me. It makes me look crazy. Saying on there, ‘Thank God for my family in Germany.’ I’m the only one that was giving her money monthly.”

Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly had a turbulent relationship, to put it mildly and their drama played out for years on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop franchise.

While Buddafly has not responded to Peter Gunz’s latest remarks, her original post made it clear she’s focused on rebuilding.

She did not specify how long she plans to remain in Germany or what her next steps will be.

50 Cent Offers Tia Kemp A Wendy Williams-Style Show To Spite Rick Ross

50 Cent used Instagram to stir the pot between himself and Rick Ross by offering Ross’ ex, Tia Kemp, a shot at daytime TV stardom, suggesting she could step into the shoes of Wendy Williams.

The move doubled as a backhanded compliment to Kemp’s unfiltered social media presence and a direct hit at Ross, with whom 50 has traded barbs for almost 20 years.

The Hip-Hop mogul posted a video of Tia Kemp’s recent online rant and captioned it with a pitch that felt half-serious and fully petty: “yo I like Tia, 🤔I think she should replace Wendy Williams. LETS MAKE A DEAL !.”

Tia Kemp, who shares a son with Ross, has never held back when addressing their co-parenting issues or anything else for that matter. The rant 50 posted featured Tia denying she was a “cougar” or any other type of animal.

“Please, stop calling me a cat. Please, stop calling me a cougar. Someone in my DMs today called me a thundercat. You call me jaguars. You call me cats. You just constantly calling me a feline. I’m not a furball,” Tia Kemp said in the clip.

In the last month, she went viral for calling out Diddy’s friends for not supporting him during his sex trafficking and racketeering trial and denying she was having sex on a boat with rapper DDG.

The rivalry between 50 Cent and Ross dates back to the late 2000s and has included diss tracks, lawsuits and social media jabs.

This latest stunt falls in line with 50 Cent’s history of using humor and trolling to keep his adversaries off balance.

Whether he’s serious about producing a talk show for Tia Kemp or just using her to needle Rick Ross, the message was loud and clear, especially since he’s ramping up his G-Unit production studios in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Fat Joe Reacts To “Crooked” Attorney Tyrone Blackburn’s Arrest Amid Lawsuit Scandal

Fat Joe has issued a statement via Instagram following the Wednesday morning (June 25) arrest of Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney representing the man suing the Terror Squad rapper.

Taking to the social media platform just hours after the news broke, Joe vowed to take further action against Blackburn, who filed a damning lawsuit on behalf of Joe’s former hype man Terrance Dixon.

“I’ve been tested the last few months—I’ve lost my big brother, my father, my mother and now I’m fighting against these disgusting lies,” he began. “But please know I will not break and I will NEVER back down. I’ve had individuals in my circle take my love and kindness for weakness, but how many times must we forgive them? I’ve had people steal from me, grow jealous of me, lie on me. Through it all, me and my family are the ones stuck dealing with the consequences of their decisions.”

He continued, “If you get fired for doing something wrong, just take the L and live with it. But instead, they plot on your downfall as they watch you move on with your life. They decide to go after one of the things you value the most—your reputation. They figure they can make up the most insane stories and, if they threaten you with a lawsuit, then you’ll pay and they’ll feel like they finally won.”

A post shared by FAT JOE (@fatjoe)

Fat Joe continued his statement with a commitment to taking Blackburn to court.

“Problem with your theory, I’ve never let anyone on the streets extort me, so how would I ever let a crooked attorney and a coward ex-hype man extort me? I’m from the Bronx! Mr. Tyrone Blackburn attorney at law since you want the clout, we will finish you in court. The time of lawyers using their law license as a badge to extort people and destroy families with no evidence is over!!! I’m not the one!! You’ve messed with the wrong one this time!!”

Blackburn has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly hitting a process server with his car while trying to avoid being served with a lawsuit tied to the rapper.

The incident stems from an April 2025 lawsuit filed by Fat Joe against Blackburn and Dixon. The suit accuses the pair of extortion, defamation and emotional distress after they demanded money for alleged songwriting and vocal contributions and later threatened to smear Joe with disturbing claims.

DDG Battles Halle Bailey Over Supervised Visit With Baby Halo

DDG is pushing for court-approved visitation with his infant son in Rome while Halle Bailey continues filming overseas and holds temporary sole custody of the little boy following abuse allegations.

During a hearing on Tuesday (June 24) in Los Angeles, the rapper and YouTuber asked the court to allow his mother to supervise his time with 6-month-old Halo in Italy, according to Billboard.

However, Bailey’s legal team objected, saying DDG’s mother has “enabled” his alleged behavior and regularly posts about Bailey and Halo online.

The judge called DDG’s request “reasonable” but ruled that any visit must be monitored by a neutral, professional third party—not a relative or friend—due to ongoing safety concerns.

If granted, DDG will also be barred from sharing any photos, videos or social media posts referencing Halo during the visit.

Both sides are now working to secure a qualified monitor in Rome. A follow-up hearing is set for Friday (June 26) to finalize the logistics.

Bailey was previously awarded sole custody after accusing DDG of physically assaulting her on multiple occasions, including incidents that allegedly occurred in front of their child.

In response, DDG has filed his own custody petition, claiming Bailey is the one who poses a threat to their son’s well-being.

He alleges she has used threats of self-harm as a form of emotional manipulation and argues she presents an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to Halo.

Halle Bailey has denied those claims, stating in court documents that DDG is “overstating the situation” and that she has her mental health “fully under control.”

“I have been and continue to be 100% available and capable to parent our son, Halo,” Bailey said in her declaration.

Emerging Music Agency Purgion Gains Ground with Disruptive Digital Strategies

In a music marketing world saturated with formulaic promotion, a new agency is rapidly changing the playbook and attracting major label attention in the process.

Founded by Faisal “Vice” Wardak, Purgion has positioned itself at the center of a shift in how music is marketed in the digital age. Over the past 18 months, the agency has played a behind-the-scenes role in a string of high-profile album rollouts, offering artists a distinct alternative to legacy PR and promotional firms.

Clients include a mix of established stars and emerging names. Among them Logic, Roy Woods, Jennifer Lopez, French Montana, Lil Dicky, BIA, Wiz Khalifa, and Lil Mosey. While their roster is noteworthy, insiders say it’s Purgion’s unconventional approach, grounded in algorithm testing, influencer engagement, and platform-native content strategies that’s drawing the most attention.

“Everyone does the same rollouts expecting different results,” said Wardak in a recent interview. “We build campaigns around real personalities, not just how they should manufacture themselves.”

That focus on organic digital behavior has led Purgion to embrace tactics typically associated with underground artists and content creators: audio seeding through TikTok influencers, unannounced campaign drops, and leveraging platform quirks to spark algorithmic momentum. Industry executives have quietly taken notice.

New Tactics for a Changing Landscape

With traditional rollout cycles becoming less effective in an oversaturated market, Purgion’s data-driven but adaptable style has proven timely. Their work aimed to reintroduce artists to a younger streaming audience through comedic content and targeted placement.

Their recent involvement in Lil Mosey’s presence also marked a shift, blending mainstream celebrity with Gen Z digital engagement strategies.

“It’s a different kind of creative team,” said one label executive familiar with the agency’s work. “They think like content creators, not marketers. That’s why they win on platforms.”

A Team Built for the Digital Era

The agency’s internal structure reflects this evolution. Comprised largely of creatives and strategists in their 20s, Purgion operates more like a startup than a traditional media firm. That youth-driven energy, paired with a willingness to test, fail, and recalibrate has created what some insiders are calling one of the more agile firms in the music ecosystem.

Despite their age, Purgion’s team has reportedly consulted on rollouts for some of the most streamed projects of the year. Their reputation has been built not through industry press or award wins, but through measurable digital impact, viral audio trends, visible playlist growth, and fan-driven online engagement.

Shaping the Future of Rollouts

Whether or not Purgion will maintain its current trajectory remains to be seen. But as of mid-2025, the agency represents a growing demand for marketing approaches that align more closely with platform dynamics than legacy media placements.

Their recent campaigns for rising artists suggest the agency is just as focused on building new stars as it is on supporting marquee names. The ability to navigate both lanes – legacy and up-and-coming could prove critical as labels continue to chase digital relevance.

As more artists and managers seek out flexible, creator-first promotional support, firms like Purgion could become increasingly central to the way records are launched, promoted, and sustained in today’s music landscape.

Chrisean Rock Calls Blueface “A Flop”—Claims She Made Him Relevant Again

Chrisean Rock slammed Blueface as a “flop” and claimed she “put him back on the map” during a heated livestream as their rocky relationship unraveled once again.

The volatile pair’s brief reunion has officially fizzled, with Rock unloading a series of blunt statements about her ex after being kicked out of his house last week.

“I’m the reason why Blue is at where he’s at now. He was a flop,” she said on Instagram Live Tuesday (June 24). “Y’all need to stop playing with me.”

Rock doubled down, saying, “I put him back on the map. What did anybody else do? Nothing.”

The rapper and reality star also revealed she had financially supported Blueface during their relationship. “Put all my money in his account,” she claimed. “Because I’m trusting that he will be a real one.”

When a viewer suggested she was living in Blueface’s house, Chrisean Rock quickly corrected the record.

“That is my house,” she said. “I pay the bills. What do you mean?”

However, despite her claims, Bleuface booted his ex and their son out last week.

Rock returned to the home to gather her belongings, documenting the moment on livestream as she carried out more than a dozen trash bags filled with clothes and personal items. “We almost outta here, bro,” she said.

Meanwhile, last week, Chrisean Rock accused Blueface of using drugs while behind bars. “He’s smoking Fetty (Fentanyl). Like, he’s getting high,” she claimed. She also alleged that he “caught drug charges” while locked up, which she said extended his sentence from six months to two years.

The final straw in their latest breakup came during a livestream argument, where Rock refused to quit working and stay in the house as Blueface demanded.

She confirmed she was single and focused on her future, saying she was “staying resilient” and “standing firm.”

Diddy Gets Major Win: Prosecutors Drop Arson & Kidnapping Charges In Federal RICO Trial

Diddy scored a major legal win in his federal racketeering and sex trafficking case Tuesday (June 25) after prosecutors dropped attempted arson, kidnapping and aiding sex trafficking claims, gutting some of the most serious allegations against him.

Federal prosecutors told Judge Arun Subramanian they would no longer pursue charges related to an alleged break-in and car fire involving Kid Cudi, nor would they continue with claims that Diddy helped facilitate sex trafficking.

The government stated that it would remove those charges from the jury instructions, effectively ending that part of the case. The decision came after 29 days of testimony in a high-profile trial that has gripped the Hip-Hop world and beyond.

The dropped charges centered on a 2011 incident where Cudi, born Scott Mescudi, claimed Diddy broke into his Los Angeles home after learning he was romantically involved with Cassie Ventura.

Kid Cudi testified that he found his dog locked in a bathroom and luxury gifts opened in his kitchen. Weeks later, Cudi’s Porsche was destroyed in a Molotov cocktail attack. A Los Angeles Fire Department investigator testified that the blaze was intentional and targeted.

However, no male DNA was recovered from the incendiary device, and fingerprint evidence from the break-in was later destroyed by the LAPD’s evidence unit.

Kid Cudi said he confronted Diddy about the fire, but Diddy denied any involvement, reportedly saying, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Despite the dramatic testimony, prosecutors ultimately abandoned the arson and kidnapping theories, leaving Cudi’s claims legally irrelevant to the case.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team rested their defense in under 30 minutes, choosing not to call any witnesses.

Instead, they leaned on a series of romantic and explicit text messages between Diddy and Ventura to argue that the nature of their relationship was consensual.

As closing arguments began Tuesday, the prosecution shifted focus to Diddy’s alleged “freak-off” sex parties.

They introduced video clips, text exchanges and financial records to argue Diddy and his staff coordinated sexual encounters involving escorts and partners.

Diddy, 55, has pleaded not guilty to five federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force or fraud and transporting individuals for prostitution.

If convicted on any count, he could face significant prison time.

Monday (June 24), defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro asked the judge to acquit Diddy on all charges, arguing the government failed to prove he was part of a criminal enterprise.

She said the prosecution had not shown he violated RICO laws, agreed to join a conspiracy or operated any enterprise beyond his personal relationships.

Brandy & Monica Address Longstanding Feud Ahead Of Reunion Tour: “It Did Turn Into Something”

Brandy and Monica are finally turning the page on decades of rumors and rivalry as they gear up for their first-ever co-headlining trek, The Boy Is Mine Tour.

The R&B icons discussed the long-awaited tour during a sit-down with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, where they also addressed the years of speculation about their relationship.

“They were trying to get us to do a tour since ’98,” Brandy revealed. “It just finally felt like the right time. It was a dream come true.”

The tour announcement follows renewed buzz around their 1998 hit “The Boy Is Mine,” thanks to their cameo in Ariana Grande’s music video of the same name and a Grammy nomination for the remix.

But Brandy and Monica made it clear that this tour is about more than nostalgia.

“There was a lot of confusion and conflict, and there was a lot of people around,” Monica explained, reflecting on the origins of their rumored feud. Brandy added, “The song didn’t help. We were fighting over a boy.” Monica jumped in with a laugh, “We don’t even like the same type of boy…there could never have been a boy.”

Both singers admitted the tension grew over time, but they’ve since worked through it by shutting out outside noise.

“It did turn into something,” Monica said, explaining they eventually shut out the opinions of the “peanut gallery” and began communicating directly.

The Boy Is Mine Tour kicks off Wednesday (October 16) and runs through Saturday (December 7) with 24 stops in major cities across the country.

Attorney Suing Fat Joe Arrested For Wild Assault Involving Case

The lawyer suing Fat Joe, Tyrone Blackburn, was arrested Wednesday (June 25) and charged with second-degree assault for allegedly hitting a process server with his car while trying to avoid being served with a lawsuit tied to the rapper.

The incident stems from an April 2025 lawsuit filed by Fat Joe—real name Joseph Cartagena—against Blackburn and Terrance Dixon, his former hype man. The suit accuses the pair of extortion, defamation and emotional distress after they demanded money for alleged songwriting and vocal contributions and later threatened to smear Cartagena with disturbing claims.

According to Cartagena’s legal team, Blackburn attempted to flee service of the lawsuit by striking the process server with his vehicle. Despite the failed escape, the paperwork was successfully delivered. The arrest, Cartagena’s attorney Joe Tacopina said, only confirms what they’ve long argued.

“Tyrone Blackburn’s arrest comes as no surprise to me – it’s just the latest example of his malicious and manipulative pattern of misconduct finally coming to light,” Tacopina said. “Blackburn is an embarrassment to the legal profession and it’s a disgrace watching him use the court system to shield his extortion tactics. This is exactly why Mr. Cartagena proactively sued Blackburn and his client Terrance Dixon in April because he knew they intended to try to destroy his reputation by peddling salacious lies.”

The original demand letter, sent March 23, claimed Dixon was a “ghostwriter and uncredited vocalist” on Fat Joe’s songs. After being ignored, a second letter on April 21 threatened a lawsuit with inflammatory accusations including statutory rape, forced labor and sex trafficking.

Following the issuance of a warrant, Blackburn and Dixon filed a retaliatory suit against Cartagena.

Blackburn’s legal tactics have drawn scrutiny from the bench. In April 2024, Judge Denise Cote referred him to a grievance committee, writing that he “improperly files cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly.”

In March, Judge J. Paul Oetken issued a separate order criticizing Blackburn’s filings as “replete with inaccurate statements of law” and “full of similar irrelevant insults, misstatements and exaggerations.”

Ashanti Reveals Nelly Is “Packing” In Wild Reality Show Teaser

In a clip shared on Tuesday (May 14), the couple teased their Peacock series, Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, and things got personal quickly.

While discussing their relationship, Ashanti dished on Nelly’s anatomy.

“How you think KK got here?” she said with a grin, referring to their 11-month-old son Kareem Kenkaide Haynes. “He’s packing.”

The moment was one of several lighthearted exchanges previewed from the show, which follows the couple’s first year of marriage, their journey into parenthood and the balancing act of fame and family.

In another snippet, Nelly playfully told Ashanti not to slim down too much after giving birth. “Keep some of that thang thangin’,” he said, laughing.

The grand gesture came after the rapper mentioned she never had time to visit European sites like the Palace of Versailles. Diggs responded with a promise to give Cardi the royal treatment: “You want [a] castle, I’ll give you a castle… You’ll sleep in a castle.”

The couple, who went public with their relationship earlier in June, didn’t just lounge around.

Diggs brought his trainer on the trip and kept up his workouts on the castle lawn and in the gym. Footage shows Cardi cheering him on. The two were also seen leaving a Paris nightclub late Tuesday night.

Cardi B Shares Advice To Heartbroken Fans

“If you’re going through a breakup, if you’re going through some s### with your baby’s father or some s###, if you’ve just got a divorce, if you’re heartbroken—go outside with your f###### friends,” she said.

Former Rapper Zohran Mamdani Crushes Andrew Cuomo In NYC Mayoral Primary

Zohran Mamdani toppled political heavyweight Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor Tuesday (June 25), a stunning win for the 33-year-old former rapper turned state assemblymember whose grassroots campaign struck a nerve with working-class voters.

The Queens-based lawmaker celebrated the upset in front of a packed crowd in Astoria, declaring, “My friends, we have done it… I will be your Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City.”

Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, leaned heavily into a platform focused on affordability and public services, pushing for free childcare, fare-free buses and city-run grocery stores.

“We have won because New Yorkers have stood up for a city they can afford, a city where they can do more than just struggle, one where those who toil in the night can enjoy the fruits of their labor in the day,” he told supporters.

Preliminary results showed Mamdani pulling in roughly 43.5 to 44 percent of first-choice votes, while Cuomo trailed with about 36 percent.

Though no candidate crossed the 50 percent threshold required for an outright win, Cuomo conceded before ranked-choice tabulations were finalized.

Andrew Cuomo Concedes; Admits Zohran Mamdani Ran “Great Campaign”

“Mamdani put together a great campaign, and he touched young people and inspired them and moved them and got them to come out and vote,” Cuomo said. “Tonight is his night. He deserved it. He won.”

Backed by progressive leaders like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Mamdani’s campaign drew energy from local organizers and activists who helped him build momentum across the five boroughs.

He pledged to govern inclusively, saying, “I will be a mayor for every New Yorker, whether you voted for me, for Governor Cuomo, or felt too disillusioned by a long-broken political system to vote at all.”

Before entering politics, Mamdani launched a rap career under the names Young Cardamom and Mr. Cardamom.

His 2016 EP, created with Abdul Bar Hussein, blended six languages and paid homage to his Ugandan roots.

In 2019, he released “Nani,” a cheeky tribute to his grandmother featuring actress Madhur Jaffrey.

His music, often laced with humor and social commentary, tackled issues like racism and colonialism.

Mamdani has credited his time as a rapper with teaching him how to connect with people on the ground—skills that translated into his political rise.

With Democrats dominating the last three mayoral races, Zohran Mamdani is widely expected to win the general election in November.

Trey Songz Threatens Violence In Explosive Face-Off Caught On Video

Trey Songz nearly escalated a tense face-off into a physical altercation Tuesday night (June 24) when a video surfaced showing the R&B singer exchanging heated words with an unidentified man in what appeared to be the tail end of a dispute.

In the short clip, the man turns to walk away and says, “I ain’t gonna shake your hand.”

Songz instantly fires back, “And you ain’t gone do s### either like I told you.”

The man then appears to call Songz “p####,” prompting the singer to step forward and respond, “I’ll beat the s### out of you right now.”

Trey Songz History Of Run-Ins With The Law

The “Bottoms Up” singer has a long history of legal run-ins and violent incidents.

In December 2016, he was arrested in Detroit after a concert meltdown that ended with felony assault charges for hitting a police officer and a misdemeanor for aggravated assault.

He later pleaded guilty to lesser charges and was sentenced to probation, drug testing and anger management classes.

In 2021, he was accused of assaulting a man in Las Vegas. A default judgment of $11.2 million was initially entered against Songz, but it was tossed in January 2025 after the court determined he wasn’t properly served.

That case is now headed to trial, with a jury date set for March 16, 2026.

In 2023, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after being accused of punching a woman in the face in a New York bowling alley bathroom.

The singer has also faced multiple sexual assault allegations over the years, including a $20 million rape lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. That case was dismissed in 2022 due to the statute of limitations.

While Songz has managed to avoid criminal convictions in several of these cases, the string of legal troubles has cast a long shadow over his career and public image.

Rapper Who Shot Up Mall, Begs Judge To Smoke Weed On Probation

No Savage asked a Virginia judge to let him use marijuana while on probation after violating the terms of his release following a 2022 mall shooting.

The 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Noah Settles, appeared in court Friday, June 21, after failing multiple drug and alcohol screenings and skipping court-mandated substance abuse treatment.

During the hearing, his legal team said marijuana is widely accepted in the Hip-Hop community and argued that Settles should not be penalized for using a substance that is legal in many jurisdictions.

His attorney requested an exception to allow him to continue using cannabis while under supervision.

No Savage was sentenced to three years in prison in 2023 after pleading guilty to firing a gun inside Tysons Corner Center Mall in Fairfax County during Father’s Day weekend in 2022.

The shooting erupted after a verbal dispute inside the mall turned physical. Police said Settles, who was signed to 300 Entertainment at the time, pulled out a gun and fired several rounds.

The rapper maintained he acted in self-defense. No one was struck by the gunfire, but three people were injured during the mall’s chaotic evacuation.

He admitted to three counts of maliciously discharging a firearm in an occupied building and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Prosecutors pushed for a 15-year sentence, but the judge handed down the mandatory minimum. No Savage was also banned from the property and placed on 10 years of probation following his release.

Instead of sending him back to prison for the probation violations, the judge allowed No Savage to remain free while his probation officer and attorney work on a revised plan.

The court will revisit the marijuana issue at a later date, and until then, No Savage must comply with all existing probation conditions.

The next court date has not been scheduled yet.

50 Cent’s Diddy Documentary Is AWOL—But Is G-Unit General Being Strategic?

50 Cent fired the first cinematic warning shot in September 2024, when he announced a documentary targeting his longtime nemesis, Diddy. It was a move that instantly raised eyebrows and expectations. It also alerted others that this could be copied. But fast forward to mid-2025 and … nothing. The G-Unit mogul seems to be sitting on the sidelines. But, not so fast.

Why hasn’t 50 dropped his promised exposé on the embattled Bad Boy founder?

Turns out, this may not be a case of hesitation but rather strategy. According to sources not-so-close to the matter, 50 Cent may be playing the long game. Apparently, he let others prematurely burn through the headlines while he waits for the full legal saga to unfold. And if you’ve been paying attention, there’s a lot more unfolding.

Since Diddy’s name began surfacing in multiple lawsuits and federal investigations, streaming platforms have rushed to cash in. But many of those early projects were often light on facts and heavy on speculation. Many of them are flimsy in hindsight. A wave of initial allegations dominated the news cycle in 2024, but a lot of it was bogus or didn’t hold up. My source says the real weight and impact of the case against Diddy is on the way. Imagine telling the OJ Simpson story before the verdict.

That may be why 50 Cent is holding tight.

Netflix, for example, has built a reputation for handling real life tragedies with great storytelling and thorough research. Its recent Astroworld documentary on Travis Scott and the 2021 concert disaster was a deep dive. I watched it recently, and it offered emotional depth and legal clarity. There was a clock as people were dying, and it was jarring. If 50 and Netflix get together for this sort of saga, they will kill it.

Still, the game is crowded. Many of these people can circle the block and do more on Diddy. Trust.

There are still multiple alleged victims, civil suits and more potential criminal charges brewing. 50 Cent could be dropping this bad boy during the most damning stretch of Diddy’s career. Crazy. “There’s a lot more story to tell now than there was six months ago,” somebody said.

The prosecution rested on Tuesday (June 24). Now, speculation swirls like that tornado over the weekend. Will Diddy get time and HOW MUCH? Lawyers nearby estimate five years to a possible 20. WHEW.

One thing for sure, the title “Diddy Do It?” won’t work when it is all said and done.

EXCLUSIVE: R. Kelly Too Dangerous For Bond—But Still Has Shot At New Trial

R. Kelly will stay behind bars after a federal judge ruled he remains a threat to the public and a potential flight risk, even as his legal team pushes for a new trial.

On Tuesday (June 24), U.S. District Judge Martha M. Pacold rejected the 57-year-old singer’s request for bond while his motion for a new trial is still under review.

R. Kelly is currently serving a 20-year sentence for child pornography and enticement convictions in Illinois.

Eighteen of those years run concurrently with a 30-year sentence from a separate racketeering case in New York.

R. Kelly is demanding a new trial, alleging that prosecutors and prison officials stole his legal mail, threatened witnesses, and even plotted to have him killed in prison.

He claims a key witness was bribed to change her testimony and that an Aryan Brotherhood gang member was recruited to carry out an attack but refused.

Kelly’s team also says he was denied urgent medical care, which they argue adds urgency to both the bond request and the demand for a new trial.

In the ruling, Pacold stated that the court had the authority to consider a bond request during post-conviction proceedings but found no legal or factual basis to release him.

“Kelly has not produced any argument or evidence—much less clear and convincing evidence—challenging that finding or indicating that circumstances have changed such that Kelly is no longer a flight risk or a danger to the community,” she wrote in the June 24 order.

R. Kelly’s attorneys argued that federal judges can grant bond in rare post-conviction situations, citing the court’s inherent authority.

But Pacold said even if Kelly met that high standard, he would still be imprisoned due to his New York conviction.

The judge also pointed to prior findings by Judge Harry Leinenweber, who oversaw Kelly’s Illinois trial and determined that his release would pose a danger to the community.

Despite the allegations in his other motions, Kelly did not present any convincing new evidence to counter that assessment. Kelly is serving concurrent sentences in North Carolina, where he remains in custody.

The court has not ruled on the motion for a new trial.
