“Trombone Shorty is a good friend of mine and we’ve talked about doing things for years. Me and him have remained friends and we always talk about different music like Jazz, Hip-Hop and Bounce music,” Weebie explained. “He produced for his nefew who has a band called the New Breed Brass Band and when I heard the first 5-10 seconds of the song we were doing, I wrote to the song right on the spot. This record is right on time for Mardi Gras season, “Watcha Workin It Fa” is an instant classic.”
