“Gotta Love” British Hip Hop Chick NoLay [AUDIO]

 NoLay is a British artist who has been making waves recently in the good ol US of A! When asked to describe what she does and how she goes about doing it, NoLay gave her new American friends a lesson in the Cockney way of rhyming that has a strong popular following overseas. Says NoLay,

 “I was inspired to write Gotta Love It taking into account both sides of my background and culture. There is a lot of cockney rhyming slang in Gotta Love It. Cockney rhyming slang is made up of using phrases that derived from taking an expression which rhymes with a word and then using that expression instead of the word. I class myself as a deep lyricist and artist that creates serious music but I wanted to not be so serious and deep with this track and have fun with it. This track is all about the fun.”
