50 Cent expanded his G-Unity Business Lab to Shreveport, bringing entrepreneurship education and mentorship to local high school students.

50 Cent brought his business hustle and Hollywood vision to Shreveport with a bold expansion of his G-Unity entrepreneurship program.

On Monday (June 1), the rapper-turned-mogul confirmed the move on Instagram.

“This is my entrepreneurship program In SHREVEPORT,” he wrote alongside classroom photos. “I don’t care if you like this I’m excited about it. I noticed you only like when I post b#######!”

The G-Unity Foundation’s Business Lab, which launched in Houston in 2021, is now heading to northwest Louisiana.

The year-long course teaches high school students in underserved areas how to build businesses, develop leadership skills and pursue long-term financial stability.

The curriculum leans on 50 Cent’s book, Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter, and includes mentorship from local business leaders, hands-on labs and a focus on conscious capitalism.

The program’s expansion is part of a larger three-phase plan 50 Cent announced for Shreveport in September 2024. Along with the Business Lab, the plan includes affordable housing and economic development initiatives.

The move comes after 50 Cent locked in a 30-year lease on a sprawling 985,000-square-foot property in Shreveport. The site will house G-Unit Studios, a production hub that will also offer job training and youth programs in film, television and the arts.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s G-Unity Business Lab has already made an impact in Houston. It operates in six high schools—Kashmere, Wheatley, Worthing, North Forest, Booker T. Washington and Yates—and runs a 28-week after-school program with twice-weekly sessions.

Students pitch business ideas, receive coaching and compete for seed funding. In 2025, Worthing High School’s team took home $100,000 at the annual Hustle Tank event.

The Shreveport rollout is expected to follow a similar model, with a focus on community collaboration between educators, parents and local service providers.
