The controversial was court ordered to the classes following a domestic violence arrest.

Controversial rapper 6ix9ine, known for his brash persona, headline-grabbing antics and involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, was photographed at an anger management class in the Dominican Republic—scrolling on his phone. Apparently seeking some kind of refuge from the relentless scrutiny of the media and pressures of fame, 6ix9ine has been hiding near the idyllic shores of the Dominican Republic, a place known for its serene landscapes and warm hospitality.

But, 6ix9ine was anything but serene when he was arrested in January for allegedly assaulting his Dominican rapper girlfriend, Yailín la Más Viral. He received a conditional release just a few days later, with Judge Fátima Veloz ordering him to pay $510 and undergo counseling as part of the terms of his release. He was also told him must cooperate with authorities, meeting them every two months until they conclude their investigation. Anger management classes are presumably part of the deal.

Under the guidance of experienced therapists and counselors, 6ix9ine will be forced to delve deep into the root causes of his explosive temper and erratic behavior—that is, if he can stay off his phone.

The domestic violence case emerged a few months after 6ix9ine was accused of assaulting two producers, Cristian Anthony Rojas and Nelson Alfonso Hilario García, in the Dominican Republic. He allegedly attacked them for spending time with Yailín la Más Viral.

6ix9ine secured bail in October 2023. A judge issued a restraining order and required him to participate in anger management. His alleged assaults in the Dominican Republic added to his already extensive list of legal troubles. Pre-fame, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to the use of a child in a sexual performance in 2015. He then pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and testified against them in 2019.
