Biggie
Smalls
and Tupac Shakur will becoming to the big screen. Investigative journalist Kathy Scott
has sold the rights to her books, "The Killing Of Tupac Shakur"
and "The Murder Of Biggie Smalls" to producers Jon Sheinberg
and Beaux Carson. The books will be combined to produce a feature
film titled "Record Wars". Shakur, which is already
available, and "The Murder Of Biggie Smalls", which
hit shelves yesterday, (October 18th, 2000), details both artists
rise to fame, and their downfalls.
Scott
is familiar with both artists, as she worked for the Las Angeles
Sun when Tupac and Biggie were gunned down, and she covered the
story for the paper. Sheinberg has produced such films as "Flipper",
"Mchale’s Navy" "A Simple Wish" and "Playing
Mona Lisa." No date as to when the project will begin production,
or when it is scheduled to hit the theaters is available.
