(AllHipHop News) Bobby Shmurda, the one-time Hip-Hop sensation, pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges Friday.
He was sentenced to seven years in jail after he pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy and one count of criminal possession of a weapon. He will also serve five years on probation after completing his jail bid.
The young rapper, nee Ackquille Pollard, was set to stand trial on conspiracy and weapons charges in Manhattan Supreme Court, but opted to take the deal. He was the leader of the GS9 street gang that were allegedly behind several shootings and drug deals, according to authorities.
He had a loaded gun in a friend’s Brooklyn apartment in June of 2014.
Shmurda was looking at 25 years to life if he was convicted.
His co-defendants Rowdy Rebel (24-year old Chad Marshall) and Montana Flea (12-year old Nicholas McCoy) accepted the same deal and Shmurda.
