(AllHipHop News) There have been several reports that Prince has a ton of unreleased music in his “vaults.” The Purple One’s fans have wondered what will happen to those songs since the icon has passed away.
According to the New York Post, music executive Charles Koppelman, an administer of Prince’s estate, is considering using the Rock Hall of Famer’s tunes for a Broadway musical or a Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour Cirque du Soleil type of show.
“Prince was an icon on the level of The Beatles and Michael Jackson, and his legacy should be honored,” Koppelman told the Post. “Though his name was Prince, I always thought he was the king of music.”
The extensive musical catalog from the Minneapolis born entertainer is expected to skyrocket in value. Prince albums dominated the Billboard 200 chart following his death on April 21.
Both Michael Jackson and The Beatles’ John Lennon were among the top-earning dead celebrities in 2015. Prince is likely to join that list in the coming years.
