(AllHipHop News) Last month, news broke that the New York Police Department requested Rolling Loud organizers remove select rappers from the festival’s lineup over “public safety concerns.” As a result, Pop Smoke, Don Q, Sheff G, 22gz, and Casanova were blocked from performing.

Hollywood Unlocked sat down with Casanova to get his side of the story. The Brooklynite revealed his reaction to not being able to hit the stage in his hometown for Rolling Loud New York.
“It’s backward. If I come, I might be able to be like, ‘Nah, y’all not doing that right now. Both of y’all.’ Or whoever a situation might occur with,” said Casanova about possible adversaries being at the event. “I looked at the lineup – not to be a b*tch about it – I was like, ‘This motherf*cker got locked up on this day, this motherf*cker got a case. Why me? In my city?'”
He added, “I ain’t gonna lie. When that happened to me, that’s the first time I felt a little hopeless in a long time. Like, ‘Dang, ain’t nobody helping me. Ain’t nobody saying nothing. I’m with Roc Nation. Where y’all at? I need some help right now.’ But you don’t wanna say it.”
The Behind These Scars album creator continued, “It just started coming in. The top dogs just started hitting me up: You alright? We don’t like what’s going on. Top dogs were like, ‘You’re gonna perform at Barclays, so just be ready’… I felt good. That made me feel a part of Roc Nation.”
Previously, Casanova was reportedly banned from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center over his highly publicized, violent feud with Tekashi 6ix9ine. The two New Yorkers later settled their beef. However, 6ix9ine cited Cas and other rap stars as Blood gang members in open court during the 2019 federal trial for Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack.
