(AllHipHop News) Dave Chappelle is in the news, but not for his upcoming ceremonial appearance on Saturday Night Life. Last night, he dissed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at The Cutting Room in New York.
To underscore his disdain he also championed Donald Trump, the Republican nominee.
First, Chappelle stated that Clinton was responsible for the leaked tape that had Trump saying horrendously lewd comments about women.
“What I heard on that tape was gross, but the way I got to hear it was even more gross. You know that came directly from Hillary,” he stated in the routine. He said he already knew that Hillary was “not right” before the leak.
Chappelle also said the leaked Trump conversation with Billy Bush was taken out of context.
“Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it,” he said.
“That would have devastated anybody else,” of the sexual allegations against Trump.
Continuing about Hillary Clinton, Chappelle said, “She’s going to be on a coin someday. And her behavior has not been coin-worthy. She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.”
Chappelle is set to host the last SNL show for A Tribe Called Quest on November 12, but he put a question mark above the appearance last night.
“You know there’s a pool going on whether or not I show up. I got $100,000 that says I won’t,” he said.
