(AllHipHop News) The tale of Marvel superhero Spider-Man has been transformed into several motion pictures. Over the years, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland have been tapped to portray the web slinger and his secret identity Peter Parker on the big screen.

However, Hollywood has yet to explore the storyline of Miles Morales, the Black Hispanic teenager that took over the role of Spider-Man in the Ultimate Fallout #4 comic book. One young actor has taken it upon himself to openly campaign for the chance to put on Miles’ mask.
Bryshere “Yazz” Gray appeared in full Spidey costume for a December 2015 edition of Paper magazine. In addition, the entertainer best known for his portrayal of Hakeem Lyon on Empire posted a photo of himself as Morales on Twitter with the hashtag #Yazz4Spiderman.

“No, not at all. I wish,” Yazz tells AllHipHop.com when asked if Marvel Entertainment reached out to him after the Paper spread. “I feel like true comic fans want to see the Miles Morales story, and I feel like I could bring that character to life and make it entertaining.”
He continued, “I feel like the fans want that, but we’re just going to see what happens. If they make the Miles Morales story, I hope I’m considered.”
If Marvel does decide to make a movie or television series about Miles Morales in the near future, Yazz may have to compete against fellow actor/rapper Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover for the role. Glover was selected to voice Morales on Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man. The former Community star has also been very vocal about wanting to play the iconic pop culture character in a live action film.
