Any fans hoping to see Kid Cudi and Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) collaborating on content may end up disappointed. Cudi let one of his supporters know that possible collaboration does not seem to be in the cards.
“You and Gambino gotta work on something whether it’s TV, movies or music. We’d love to see/hear it! Your guys’ song ‘Warlords’ needs an official release!” one person tweeted to Kid Cudi on Wednesday (February 21).
The Cleveland-raised rhymer simply replied, “I’m cool.” Nearly one million Twitter (X) users viewed Cudi’s response tweet which collected more than 300 replies and 3,000 likes on the social media platform.
Kid Cudi and Childish Gambino have similar careers in the entertainment industry. Both men create alternative-style Hip-Hop music. The two stars also work as actors and executive producers in Hollywood.
Gambino released the Grammy-nominated studio albums Because the Internet in 2013 and “Awaken, My Love!” in 2016. The five-time Grammy winner also won directing and acting Emmy Awards for FX’s groundbreaking Atlanta television series.
Kid Cudi scored a Grammy Award for his contribution to “All of the Lights” by Kanye West. His Entergalactic music television special on Netflix won Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
